We are midway through the week now, which will make Mr C happy as he thought it was Wednesday yesterday. He's gained a day! Meanwhile, the rest of us know what day of the week it is, and are talking about more sensible things:
- The Trulliometer has taken a bit of a downward turn as the Italian says he has given up predicting when Toyota are going to win. He thinks there have been so many missed opportunities that it's not worth repeating "maybe this time". Poor Trulli.
- Liuzzi has expressed his gratitude that his first race will be Italy and not Singapore, as he feels he's ready to race round Monza, whereas the street circuit will be a bit tougher. He says he will be right up to speed though, and on the pace. The good thing for Tonio is, he only has to be less than two seconds off the pace, and he'll be doing okay.
- Finally, Massa underwent his surgery a couple of days ago, and Ferrari issued a simple statement to say it was successful and that the Brazilian would have a short stay in hospital before returning home when his training can begin in earnest. Yay for Massa! There was also an in-depth interview with him in The Guardian yesterday that is well worth a read if you haven't already.

We got our first pre-recorded show uploaded today with Jon's feeder series show. I have listened to it and the half hour flew in.
We need to see more pre-recorded shows being uploaded soon and we also need people to phone in and leave voicemails either as contributions to shows or just as links between shows etc.
We now have a full 12 hours scheduled again with Jon's show and one that Gavin is working on but as ever we can use short filler shows and of course there is the usual list of people looking for contributions to their shows.

I seriosuly doubt that anyone who does not have entry by now, facilities ready a at least some work done on 2010 car (like having 2009 in one hand and drawing of huge fuel tank in the other) can realistically think about being on the grid in Bahrain in March next year

the only criticism I read of this game is right - when you are playing you are focusing on the notes you have to hit so you don't get to watch the fantastic background graphics. The mannerisms are perfect :D

I'd recommend checking out theb Exogenesis symphony off this new Muse album when it comes out. It's 13 minutes long and all composed by the band, but in many interviews they've mentioned how much they've looked up to some of his stuff and been influenced by it for this track.
I have seen most of it but not all of it. It's completely odd but quite incredible.

My guess is that this is going to be a greater problem than iTunes.
With an iPod you can buy from iTunes or you can rip yourself. With other mp3 players you have to rip yourself and the lack of conveniance of no itunes is slightly annoying but not too bad.
With books it's much worse. Without a iTunes equivelent for books you are stuck. Or just able to use Guttenberg.

i have an ipod touch rather than an ipod for a few reasons..
1. i like having seperate gadgets, and have no urge to need to have them all rolled into one, specially when i always have a handbag with me.
2. the camera on the iphone, while good, is no where near as good as the one that i have on my phone.
3. i can live without browsing the internet on the move... plus my phone does that (all be it badly)
i would add, that having a single device means you always have to make a choice about battery. i can run the itouch down to 0% knowing nobody might call me on it.

Then after a while you settle in and you think... Another this show another that show... Really cool but you think you can see how it works. It takes an evening here an evening there.

And then you look at that steady stream of content... The regular as clockwork amazingly high quality of content and you think... How? HOW? Is that possible... Maybe it's hard for me because I have a blog, she has a blog, maybe it's hard for me because I go to work, she goes to work...

our history course isn't the best thing ever though :( we've been the 'trial' year again! :( so our AS course was full of the Crimean, Boer and WW1 (and their effect on Britain, plus Russia (from Lenin to Stalin).... which we all basically failed :( then our A2 course is Germany and then coursework about international relations leading up to the cold war (only interesting part so far really). The new AS course that they have selected for the year below us is amazing :( it studies both modern(ish) history concentrating on media, music etc... (the beatles feature heavily in it for some of it) and the other paper they do is about Russia i believe...the year below us always get a better deal than we do. grr.
the best course i've done for history was our GCSE course which was on the history of medicine - soooo interesting!

I have just started that today.
I run an entire lab of Macs - the hardware is no better than other manufacturers. So my new training labs will be built using Shuttles (BareBones) and my own laptop is now an MSI Wind u100 plus - it is dammed amazing I am running a full KDE desktop and it will drive our 1920 x 1080 monitors with ease. I will concede that OSX is probably the best operating system but most Linux distros are now so close that it is really rather academic.

Some of the Linux distros are now really awesome - Arch with KDE looks nearly as good as OSX with a very light footprint. I did try OSX on the MSI Wind - it works fine but it just hammers the battery (which is a bit small - but it weighs less than 1KG so I forgive it). Gentoo-based Sabayon is I think the nicest looking OS I have ever seen. Ubuntu in its various forms is OK but rather get Linux Mint as it is really well sorted out (Ubuntu done properly).

I am sure Mercedes would have no problem selling them lumps to put into their car. Since I think Renault will be gone by that time they could get either a Cosworth or Toyota or produce their own. I am not sure Macca would want to go to Ferrari for an engine - it would be funny. Their new road car definitely looks a bit like a Ferrari!

Actually Norbert Haug has surprised me this year by seeming to be genuinely interested in the sport. Mercedes basically saved Brawn's bacon. Macca would obviously have been consulted and agreed. I think it is good news for Brawn and I think Mercedes will treat them well. I do feel sorry for Rubens though - but he might end up being World Champion this year!
yeah i suppose. i think it's because Mclaren have been my least favourite team of the grid for a while now, and the thought of Brawn GP being anything like them makes me angry. i'll get used to it, and they are in a much better position than they were this time last year, i'll just be a bit grumpy about it for a while.

I was actually a Sauber fan and so BMW by default, my second team is Toyota because I like Timo as a driver. - As both teams are somewhat uncertain it has not been a good year. Sure my dog will watch Jenson and listen to his audio clips.
I like Peter Sauber - because he was passionate about motorsport and he was an independent, but then Red Bull sponsorship moved to form their own team and he needed to survive so he made the agreement with BMW for his employees.
