Here we are again, horrible Thursday, but I won't let it get me down, and neither should you. There's plenty going on to distract from what day of the week it is, so let's get right down to the F1 stuff.
- Old Schumacher is struggling with his neck, according to his spokeswoman. I think one of two things is going on here. Either he really is struggling and might not be able to come to Ferrari's rescue in their hour of need, or he is trying to make us think he won't do very well so that when he wins, it will "wow" us even more.
- Donington Park have hired a new project manager for the upgrades to the circuit, and she has plenty of credentials such as the new Wembley and the Millenium Dome. Oh dear. Still, they can't really do any worse than they have already, what with planning issues, and financial delays.
- And here is your prescribed reading for the day. RG has written a fab post about Piquet, Renault and Flav, and how the three things don't mix. Meanwhile Racecar Engineering have had a chat with the guy behind the Stefan Grand Prix effort, about their issues with the FIA.
That'll do it for now. Let me know how you're getting through your Thursday, and whether it is going well for you. It does happen sometimes! As ever, I'll see you in the comments.
Hello, Thursday
I'm not ready yet!
morning/evening everyone :)
morning! hows lou?
Aaaah, Thursday. Another planned day of nothing.
i'm good thanks! i've had a lovely day with my friends at their farm, and having water fights etc, sadly i now have a headache again :) but am determined to soldier on! how are you? good day in london?
not bad ta, London was good, we were there to get some nice pictures taken of us, was nice, but very tiring. woop
Ooh, sounds nice
So it seems, now that the kibosh has been handed out on Schuey's 2009 spec test, he may not be fit to race after all
Ferrari spin hoping for public support? Discuss
aww :) sounds lovely :)
Aren't we banned from talking about this? All I can say is that Ferrari's comment about Williams is completely unacceptable.
Good point
I retract my earlier statement on the grounds of taste and decency
one wonders, if he doesn't drive, whether he ever intended to and the team were on the blag for some free development / feedback/ direction.
Wouldn't surprise me
Is there still no in-season testing next year?
did not work if they were. not sure how much feedback you get with last years Ferrari with GP2 tyres
lord knows? there doesn't appear to be.
there isn't
more than you'd get from kimi?
;)
The team not happy with 'meh'?
true story
Considering it was the F2007, not much :P any feedback on that car is bit late now.
If you tweak that there, you woulda won the title earlier.
Silly Ferrari, should have just lent the F60 to Top Gear and 'The Stig' could have took it out for a run
Is that Michael Schumacher Stig or Ben Collins Stig?
To see if they could have beaten Renault's F1 time
MSC, Ben Collins wouldn't let him drive a Ferrari
Depends who's asking
following on from yesterday's suggestion that the newly discovered "free news feed" contained links to a non-existent site. i've loaded the contents into a friendfeed pane instead:
http://friendfeed.com/gmmfeed
seems like the best way to read the content.
ouch! :)
That's nice although Bernie is going to be mighty annoyed at GMM for using his F1 logo :-)
am I missing something important?
terrible business that. it's not even cropped properly ;)
if you haven't read back through the daily thread for wednesday, you're missing out.
That looks good. I am sure people would pay good money for that
I thought that, guess the answers are in yesterday's thread
:D
Can you be more specific - what time should I start looking?
It relates to our previous conversation about attack rather than defence
Penny dropping
umm. 4pm(ish). don't worry though, we'll do an actual post next week when more things are in place.
Around 5 pm ish I think
The problem is that I now believe all the content because it hasn't got those 3 magic letters at the end
Looking now.
Are you implying that otherwise it might not be all true? How shocking
I think I'm ready now.
let me know when you find it, am also looking
Well I've suddenly got doubts that Todt is even running for the presidency or that Schumacher actually has a neck, put it that way
Come on in
The water's lovely
So Valencia has only sold around 35,000 tickets and they complain about Renault being banned?
Do Spanish motorsport fans wait until the last minute just in case of this eventuality occurring?
I can still see my second answer at http://mediafuturechange.com/ even after a re-boot but no other answers.
ah okay, 'cos even though I read them I'm still a bit confuzzled
apparently responses are for our eyes only! madness.
we'll find a different solution shortly.
Nice quick catch up today. I should pretend I'm working more often.
Surely the lack of ticket sales is related to the fact that it is a soporific go kart track in a dock-side industrial estate.
Or because even they know they'll need more than caffeine and Red Bull to stay awake?
is this a "sticking it to the man" type thing?
So does anyone know what error code 1603 on an iPhone restore means?
Christine sugested that earlier. I assumed that you would find some setting to alter that but obviously not.
..where last year a lot of the grandstand seats had no view of the track, reportedly.
No
Cue voice over:
This time, it's personal
:D
Very much so
Switch it off and back on again?
Did you see the Apple support page link I posted earlier?
nope. some good old fashioned hard graft.
Well aslong as no-one ends up in prison for such activities, sounds fun
is that a yes? ;)
This time it is war
What do you think I've been using to try and restore it?
giggle's found a hack, but we're looking for a simple temporary solution.
Hi Lou. I never got the hang of water fights.
I missed this one:
"I had been thinking for a long time of a third car for Michael." - Luca di M
How were Ferrari going to run a third car? Or is this breakaway series related?
You know, I haven't actually switched my iPhone off at all during attempts to restore it. Hmm...
*envisions the irony that it should work after a reset*
please please please, it would make my day
we're not planning to do anything out of the ordinary, nor anything illegal.
simply, if a company wanted to request the services of a formula 1 news aggregator, we'd like them to have the choice of more than one. and the alternatives to be better in multiple ways.
You don't really want to invent another doohickey for another platform.
but you are using gmm's feed's non?
But that's Rule 1 of "computery gadget has gone wrong" solutions
Well, it means The iPhone could not be restored, but I guess you already know that
Trying a soft/hard reset, or whatever it's called.
no. not at all. quite the opposite.
that's simply their to highlight the flaws in a competitors business plan (the fact that they give it away for free). and to emphasis what we'd do better (protect it!).
Episode 1 of The IT Crowd
Clearly Luca has forgotten that Ferrari are only allowed two cars like the others.
If you've gone through the troubleshooting on the support page it means a replacement phone.
Bugger.
life is full of hard lessons.
I would be an iphone genius
ah ok, fair enough. good speed to you sir
Are other aggregators available currently?
we're not planning on doing this alone. or even having much to do with it at all.
First, it is slightly cheaper; and second, it has the words 'DON'T PANIC' inscribed in large friendly letters
exactly.
But if you haven't tried a restore in recovery mode then that may not be the case.
Just looking at this Race Car engineering thing that Me posted on twitter (and here earlier i think)
I read "Have you signed any technical staff?
Yes. At the moment we are only going to say that we are very pleased to secure services of Mike Coughlan. Other additions will be published later."
Mike Coughlan? Mike Coughland, now where do i recognise that name from....
*googles*
OH
i misread that comment. not at the price the gmm are currently pitching, no. and the plan is to come in even cheaper.
As I explained, according to iTunes when it detects the iPhone, it's already in Recovery Mode.
Spidey senses say it sounds like forces are joining...
will wait for the post with great interest :-)
I have to say this is genius. I am willing to do whatever I can to help too.
It's amazing how many F1 fans are Dougas Adams fans
so very confused now, but i'm sure i shall learn more in the weeks and months
For future reference, always try that first
Fundamental iPod/iPhone issues first step
ah, gotcha
days.
#rgneedsglasses
Read that as Dougie Anderson
Going by the earlier conversation you need to learn a language that none of the commenters already speaks.
So essentially, this is a Windows Update-type scenario. Apple's own software update has broken my iPhone. Brilliant.
Fundamental first step for anything electrical or electronic, I find
Did you switch it off and back on again as I suggested? Switch off completely, then hold home button down as you plug it back in to the computer. This will start the phone up in recovery mode. Worth a try.
i think i'm understanding it now, have some thoughts in my head as to what you're meaning. sounds great :D i look forward to reading more about it, and helping in anyway i can
Same here
Though I may need some basic tuition
many hands make light work.
I can offer Twitter and Blog pluggery.
Not in that way, no. When this attempt is done, I will try that. Didn't think I had to since iTunes was saying something along the lines of "iTunes has detected an iPhone in Recovery Mode that needs to be restored"
If you can try the update on another computer, then do so. It could be as simple as a problem with the downloaded update.
I thought that was electricity
:P
They did that at the post KERS Lecture meet-up drinks
I decided to use the opportunity to coincide it with toilet breaks, in the hope they'd be done by the time I returned
I dubbed it: Going all html again
Now it's just stuck on the Apple logo. Holding the power button does nothing.
:P:D
Take the battery out then wait 30 seconds before you put it back in
He laughs because it's true
ooops!
Non-removable battery
and because i remembered ;)
You are kidding right? It's an iPhone. That's practically impossible.
Sorry if I sound abrupt. Didn't expect this to happen after just 2 and a bit months.
But that was months ago
Someone record this moment for posterity
Oh well, good night, I'm off to debate whether I go into work tomorrow or "work" from home...
There's the flaw then. I thought Apple had clever designs
Stay at home
No debate required
Tell them, the environment wins hands down, or something
That's interesting - it just flashed up a white screen for a split second, and has now gone to the screen telling me to plug into iTunes.
Two-button reset? Hold both buttons down for a few seconds to see if it will reboot, when the apple logo disappears, keep holding home button.
Cool over clever
OK, one sec.
Am also reading this re: 1603 error
After trying everything else with no results, I pulled
the SIM card out of the iphone and plugged the iphone into my computer.
Itunes then reloaded the software and firmware successfully. I then put
the SIM card back in and synced it up with itunes and it asked me to
confirm the resync. Afterwards it just worked fine."
We currently have to report meetings of 25 or more people due to Swine Flu - I'm tempted to report every coffee break until they lighten up - meanwhile I'll do my bit by staying home
Interesting. Will give that a try.
:D
"My Dr advised it as my, wife, GF, dog, goldfish has suspected swine flu"
Just finished the reading of yesterdays comments, sounds great!! Look foward to seeing what happens next.
and on that bombshell.
Night all
Wait, I thought you couldn't restore an iPhone without a SIM card in it.
night JON!
night my good man
You can't activate it at the end of the process but it should restore.
Night Jon
yeah, i see what you did there, lowercase is acceptable now too :D
Unless you are in the medical profession, or work in a piggery, that's just a little bit of overkill...
No idea, am just the messenger
Also seeing quite a bit of delte iTunes and re-install
That may screw up your stored data though
Night to JON, Mav, anyone else leaving
wow, i can't say i've ever been called that before
;)
night sir.
Oh yeah, that's right. Slipped my mind after I'd done it a few times before at work.
I'm being original, new craze.
a man?
I work with a few chauvanistic types, does that count?
Nope, that doesn't work either. :(
That's not good news. I think you may need a replacement, but try on another machine first.
Best report it just in case.
Only other machine is the one at work that has iTunes on it, but I don't think they'd let me.
I think I'll just take it into O2, say what's happened, and if they say "You'll need to send it away for repair", then I can come straight back with:
"No, I don't think so. Here's why - I work for your guy's repair centre, Anovo. I know exactly what you're going to do with this. You're going to send it off, my place will receive it a couple of days later and book it in, they'll look at it, software upgrade it and send it back here which will take another couple of days. Now to save me that inconvenience and also wasting everyone's time, what you can do is give me a replacement right here right now and save us from having to go through all that, OK?"
My mate had a similar situation with a Blackberry, said pretty much the same thing and after the manager came out, he got a replacement :P Worth a try.
It is worth a try
Or they'll send it to Apple
Either way, you'll have progressed it further than today. Good luck. Let us know how it goes
Who will probably do exactly the same. Which again is a waste of time.
Remember update/restore is independent of anything else, you can do the restore on any machine then sync with your data at home.
But if that doesn't work, they'll issue you a replacement
Let me put it this way - I asked if I could update my iPhone to the new OS 3.0 at work when it came out in the evening and they said no.
That was your problem
You asked ;)
I guess asking for a 3GS as a replacement is pushing it too far then? :D ;)
Say nothing, see what happens
It it a 16GB model?
8GB
Still have brand new of those for sale, unfortunately
So no chance then. Besides O2 seem to be a bit light on stock at the moment.
Heh, fair do's. End of the day, iPhone's an iPhone regardless.
Right, I'd better go. It's late, I've got to be up at 6 for work, provided Mum can hopefully knock on my door to wake me, which she normally does anyway.
Morning all.
See ya Scott
Good luck
Em, farewell me matey.
Night Scott and night everyone as I have stayed up too late again.
That couple of hours flew by.
Knowing me, I'll damn well need it :P
Will people stop leaving, em, see ya later piquet
Piquet?!? What did i do to you?
No, no. Just, Piquet left us. And your leaving us for the night,
I think RG's running out of original farewell comments ;)
You are my executioner
:)
I'm not using that farewell again
Would that make it RG Bargy?
That is brilliant.
Am loving the Apple movie trailers tonight
More weirdness from the Cohens

“Fair play” is a quintessentially English concept. The French do not even have a word for it. They resort to using “le fair-play”
:P
If I had no soul, I would probably write for Rupert Murdoch
Presumably going by the Ferrari statement the Italian definition is a bit different too.
I think in Italian it's something like
Ferrari's way
As Flanders and Swann noted in their Song of Patriotic Prejudice, the problem with those foreign types is that they don't play the game - "They argue with Umpires, they cheer when they've won, And they practice beforehand, which ruins the fun"
la unfair-play?
Hello all
Joe!
Hey dude
What's up, my brother?
Hi Joe
Originality is not stretching to greetings, hello
Steven, do you live in PI or were you visiting?
PI?
The Phillipines
Never been there. Journeyer lives there. Janine is originally from there and Bassano is considering a trip next year.
Sorry Steven, I got confused. Might be the beer talking, just you and Journeyer are regulars.
he wouldn't appreciate you. we do.
Easy mistake to make
Ah, bless :)
Mr. C ! And a good day to you, Sir!
And dragging others, some willingly
bloomin' well is n'all joe :)
what's news in your world?
You've obviously heard Steven on the podcast and were without subtitles ;)
Hello, everyone. :D
Yeees. Why'd you ask, Joe?
Hi Journeyer.
Mornin.
Just curious, as a dumb American I'm thinking that I'm talking to a bunch of people in Europe
Ain't technology wonderful?
The Phillipines isn't in Europe?
I may have to rethink my travel plans
Airfares might increase
Night all.
night andy.
Strangely, Cattle class is rising, Business class is dropping
Who knew!
Hasta La Huego Snr
Night Andy
gah, bassano's doing better with these original farewell andy's
:D
Night Andy. ;)
I'm glad someone else feels like cattle in an airport. I was considering going to the NASCAR race in Montreal, but with the news of a possible GPC, I think I'll save my money for beer
May I offer my sincere contrafibularities.
I will add that to my new book. It's called a dictionary
JA's article on the Todt Manifesto:
http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2009/08/todt-plans-to-change-how-fia-manages-f1/
Can JA be wrong, pleeeeeeeeeeez?
I guess Staff Travel has spoilt me but it's still not as bad as an 8hr bus journey in Laos on a child-sized plastic 'picnic chair'
i originally decided to stay clear and take photos, then someone hit me with a water balloon and i was soaked...as fun though :D
night to everyone who has left while i've been reading comments
I think JA has now given up reading SPC and is reformatting Mr Saward's ideas instead
:D
Rg is now bored of coming up with original stuff, so before anyone else leaves, he's going before them.
Night RG.
night RG
Buenos Noches
I'm off to sleep now, need some sleep before my driving lesson tomorrow morning! :D night all! x
Night Lou
Remember you are not allowed to go more than 90 mph
haha i'm not sure my instructor would let me even if i tried :P
And handbrake turns don't score points if you hit the kerb
See ya Lou
I notice that as soon as Lou said she was getting behind a steering wheel everyone scattered.
Sorry Lou
Checking the barricades were secure
Speaking of which, I shall get back to them
Night all
Night Bassano
good mornng
Good morning
this interesting piece of marketing:
they should apply something similar to F1 - money back for boring race or something :-)
That could mean an awful lot of refunds. Might sell moe tickets for Valencia though.
I hate to run just as you arrive but it is waaaay past my bed time.
See you later.
It appears SPC sleeps during the hours 4-9, oh how things change
Morning Jon.
Ah, there is someone awake :)
Goodmorning Christine, how are you this morning?
Not bad at all. I had something in my eye this morning and it feels like it's still in there even though I know it's gone. Grr.
How are you?
oooh, i hate it when that happens.
im doing ok thanks, glad its nearly the weeekend :)
Ah yes. Your post should be going up shortly.
ooh cool. Thanks :)
Have been a bit busy as of late. No Amy to stir conversation too. ;)
Morning Jon and Christine. :D
Ooooh. It'll go away in time. Maybe washing your face will help make the feeling go away?
And blink lots, but that may make it worse. So i take no responsibility for that
Hehe. Thanks both, it is starting to go away, and so far I have only blinked a normal amount :)
Morning Journeyer. How's it going?
I have been awake (but sleepy :-) ) for quite a while. Unfortunaly have very time consuming and boring thing to do ...
by the way, Theissen says no deal was possible to reach before the Aug 5th deadline
hey. 09:35. who knew such a time existed?
I know the "pm" version
i am, shocked, ney, stunned. how does it feel to be awake at this time? ;)
Woah. That thing in my eye is making me see things. Mr C is awake?
Unless they are contact lenses?
Haha, let's not go there again :)
define "awake"?
Erm... not asleep?
oh. yeah, am awake then.
Wow.
Unnamed energy drink for breakfast?
Or... this works for me. Go into server rooms first thing. Soooo cold.
Trust me, that works better than Alcohol.
alcohol for breakfast?
well, I tried it as a hangover cure one time. It didn't really work.
I find this odd, because when I have a hangover I always swear off alcohol for life, rather than indulge in a tipple for breakfast.
Never heard of the hair of the dog?
Yup. Find it odd.
glass of cold sparkling wine really works ... tried and tested
you rang?
(only joking)
where are you taking us today giggles?
"What's the best thing for a hangover?"
"Drinking heavily the night before."
good question. We are having a home bound day today in th main although I am planning a trip back to the place with the pork pie platter. Whih means more pigs, chickens and goats!
I'll see if I can rustle up something more exciting :)
No water?
how much time you expect to pass before certain person expresses unhappiness with your free friendfeed ? :-)
If anybody feels like wasting 20mins of their life, I uploaded what was going to be on Sidepodraio V1.0 but will be far too far out of date by the new date.
And with that, I'm off, dinner calls.
sounds good
I heart this :D it's really good sean
damn, no audio again. i shall listen later though.
amy's gonna hate you :D
I'll sort something out :)
Yay. Because you know: http://weheartalex.tumblr.com/
:)
Just having a browse....i have the same shorts as Giggles. :D
the insanity of that site makes me smile!
really?
How interesting. I have been searcing high and low for the perfect shorts since J Crew changed their design a few years ago. These from UNI QLO are close but they're not quite right.
they aren't exactly hte same then, but from a looking point of view, they look the same
where are yours from?
I am currently running at about 10 slightly different pairs of tan shorts with large cargo pockets while I try and work out the ideal replacement.
10!
Peacocks i believe. I have many of the same type in different colours, they are so darn comfy
I may be slightly hampered today as I did sustain a sidepodinjury when I slipped off the rocks.
I won't be uploading a picture of the cut on my foot though.
i have ended up at the ferrari cafe for dinner. Shall drop some pictures.
I think so. It's hard to decide.
I had THE perfect shorts before. You could only buy them in J Crew in the states but that wasn't too much of a problem. But now they've changed the design it's all gone wrong :(
I have none from peacocks. I shall have to investigate :)
what is this other colours of which you speak?
hurrah!
Different blue's and there are other colours, i forget what exactly
This random tumblr I googled has the answers showing somehow...
http://jillian.tumblr.com/post/91395227
maybe it's a template thing?
wooot.
i went to the Renault F1 cafe in paris a few years back. it was soooo nice
Interesting. I will investigate.
no shorts and trousers are tan in colour.
Unless you are going to work in which case trousers are blue or gray. But no shorts.
(I do actually own a pair of pinstripe shorts!)
We really need to have an Inside Giggles' Wardrobe show.
you sir, are, in fact, UBER cool.
i am quite jealous
heh!
Katherine purchased them for me.
There are some very strange clothes in my wardrobe!
this i can believe
You are right!!
http://mediafuturechange.com/post/155776737/super-speedy-usb#note-container
Lotsa work. Hehe. Time to catch up on comments!
That's a very odd idea. Very, very odd.
Looks like I swapped the username and email fields last night. :D Trying it again now, it's worked! Yay!
subtly hunting for pictures of rob on the wall. Lots of massa and michael, some rubens, not a lot of kimi
I guess we know who they love then:
Felipe Baby! :D
But an utter lack of Kimi. Disappointing, but unsurprising.
I think it is simply that Ice Man is less easy to say with an Italian accent than Filipe Baby!
any Chris Dyer?
I found a Ferrari dealership by accident today when looking for somewhere to park near the train station. I am there right now drooling. I declare it Ferrari night in Australia
Hullo all. I don't have much to say except..
http://drop.io/sidepodcast/asset/dsc00990-jpg
:)
Lukeh! You sneaked over there without telling us!
No. I'm stuck here with pre-ordered meals, I'm coming over.
Mornin all.
I went out for a run and I so happened, purely coincedental, to run past Greggs. These things happen!
FIX!
:D
are you suggesting that I set out a route so that on the way back I would pass this wonderful bakery? Simply outrageous!
yes, I believe I am ;)
You're crazy in the coconut!
:D
Sounds suspicious, if you ask me. :P
mmmmm coconut! ;)
Peter Sauber has said to AUTOSPORT that BMW are wanting much more than he is willing to buy the team out for:
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77574
That's a shame :( still it shows that Sauber is definitely interested in it plus he mentions wanting to sign the Concorde Agreement. Maybe if he can get someone to support buying out the team with him?
Boo, stupid BMW.
News Corp are going to start charging for online news content:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8186701.stm
Any plans to take on Rupert Murdoch next?
I think this is just half the story. We have yet to see if the Piquets' money will play a part here.
what's the big deal with Thursdays?
The weekend is in sight but frustratingly out of reach
Most people dislike Mondays. Not me.
Actually, I'm going to a wedding tomorrow so it feels like a Friday
I've never liked Thursdays either. I'm ready for the week on a Monday, by Thursday I'm just counting the minutes to Saturday..
Thursday should just be renamed to emptyday. Every thursday feels so empty to me!
I thought we called it Wednesday2?
I don't mind Thursdays. For me it is the first day of the weekend.
Oh yeah!
Yeah Wednesday2 is better. Although a sequel never lives up to it's predecessor.
ah but Thursday is a good day, becuase Friday is the end of the week. For instance, if it was, say, Tuesday, you had wednesday then the rest of the week to "look forward" too, but on Thursday, it's oinly Friday, then the weekend, ergo its better
Afternoon :)
who the hell is going to pay for that s....?
ind you AP announced something similar last week.
gotta be worth a shot. what do we know about radio controlled aeroplanes?
Some of us don't have the end of the week to look forward to most of the time :(
i may be able to help :D
hullo :) how is lou today?
Evening.
excellent. sidepod24 is go!
im good thanks. Driving lesson was great fun today. Aparently all I need to do now is just learn bay parking, and then practice practice practice :) I may have accidently mounted a low bit of pavement when I got a little flustered at a quiet junction. First proper mistake though.. And he said it was alright.. Scared me witless though... :)
Woo! We all have then kind of moments learning so no need to worry about that, just one of them little things. I used to get horribly flustered on my lessons if I made a silly error but in time you learn :)
:) it was only my fifth lesson and he just smiled, aparently there was no point in trying to stop me because we all need to learn from mistakes and it wasn't going to hurt anyone.. so he just...didn't do anything. lol :)
oh.. i'm being told it's time to go out into the very hot real world... lets hope i don't melt! ;) see ya!
if it's only your 5th lesson, then you have nothing to worry about :D
Please don't melt! :P
Have a good day!
Outside? Be careful.
*remembers 2 lessons before test having an absolutely horrific lesson full of stalling and issues*
...yeah I think Lou has nothing to worry about based on how well she seems to be doing ;)
Theres a Debrief i haven't listened to!!! :D :D
Hi. Over lunch I've been reading an interesting column by Dieter Rencken (sub.req.).
http://www.autosport.com/features/article.php/id/2315
See ya after work...
btw, I got sent a bottle of red wine by work's electricity supplier! in my name! to say thanks for being a customer. i think they liked that we signed for 3 years on a fairly low rate...
and British Gas wonders what it does wrong
Does British Gas do that though? My guess is they think they're always right!
So Valencia has only sold around 35,000 tickets and they complain about Renault being banned?
Do Spanish motorsport fans wait until the last minute just in case of this eventuality occurring? {Comment #49}
I believe that applies to the Spanish regarding all sports with the partial exception of football. If my Spanish teacher back in secondary school is correct, a lot of Spanish people are fairly spontaneous about deciding whether to watch sport. They might even be waiting to see if the weather will be good on the morning before venturing to the track.
Or because even they know they’ll need more than caffeine and Red Bull to stay awake? {Comment #55}
On the other hand, this may have rather more to do with it!
Another theory is that the way F1 has been covered in Spain, the casual Spanish F1 crowd think Alonso is F1. Therefore if Alonso isn't in the race, it can't be F1 (poor Jaime)...
..where last year a lot of the grandstand seats had no view of the track, reportedly. {Comment #59}
Did they hire Fuji's grandstand designers?!?
I missed this one:
“I had been thinking for a long time of a third car for Michael.” – Luca di M
How were Ferrari going to run a third car? {Comment #71}
By hoping that either three teams didn't make it to the 2010 grid or the FIA mysteriously forgot its collective elementary maths lessons.
The FIA did forget how many teams were entered for 2010 so not beyond the realms of believability
I wondered if that was the case. I wasn't impressed by the claim that sales had shot up after the announcement that Schumacher was racing - the increase seemed minimal and in line with sales going up naturally as the event approached.
Going by the earlier conversation you need to learn a language that none of the commenters already speaks. {Comment #105}
I speak Gobbledygook fluently, and I know someone in my mobile network provider's Technical Support department who can speak Static fluently as well...
On the serious side, I have some capability with Spanish and French, have studied some Japanese and have a gigantic Italian dictionary, if that's any help.
The FIA did forget how many teams were entered for 2010 so not beyond the realms of believability {Comment #373}
I wonder if they've remembered again yet?

'Archaeology'' magazine's review of '10,000 BC':
“Unsurprisingly, this tribe is starving, but it is hard to have sympathy for them because any culture that tries to hunt mammoths with a net gets what it deserves.”
I was rather upset by doctor's comments that Massa hadn't sustained brain damage as he was "lucidly answering questions in Portuguese, English and Italian" - I can only manage one of those three!
Boo. I have only seen two of them.
Right, phone died while I was in the middle of dinner so the dropping had to wait. Here are some blurry phone-pics from the cafe.

Erm, rusty.

Presumably going by the Ferrari statement the Italian definition is a bit different too. {Comment #190}
According to my dictionary, the Italians have two phrases for "fair play":
- comportamento leale - roughly translates into "honest behaviour"
- gioco leale - roughly translates into "sportsmanship".
Perhaps Ferrari decided the language needed a third versipn of "fair play"?
That is a nice one!
I like that it doesn't have his face on it like the Lewis one. I couldn't wear a shirt with someones face on it. Too creepy.
Is Twitter dead today or is it just my internet connection / computer?
Haven't been able to get on since lunchtime.
Facebook is more like a dying horse as well - erros and stuff...
It's still a bit orange for my tastes, but orange it certainly better than a creepy face.
That's comforting news!
In Italian:
We asked Bernard's people for permission to use 'Formula One' words so I was afraid they told Twitter to shut us down.
Glad to see sidepodcast is back. How's Mr C? I understand he's depressed because of Schumacher's return?
Ralf is back? :-)
I especially like how the price will be drastically reduced at the end of the year when they drop him.
Not depressed anymore. But he won't be watching if Schumi is in action.
this interesting piece of marketing: {Comment #246}
I'd laugh if someone took a holiday to Istanbul on Grand Prix weekend and then claimed compensation - because it rained all weekend and as a result interesting stuff happened in the race!
hey. 09:35. who knew such a time existed? {Comment #262}
By then I'd already been refused the final step of course sign-up at college because I'd brought the wrong piece of evidence (they gave me a deadline extension, but I had to do a fair bit of walking to get the paperwork done!)
I've managed to sign up for a First Aid At Work Requalification at the end of next week somewhere else though, so I will learn something in the near future...
I have found another mode of transport:

its windy miller!!! without the wind mill
I have no audio, but Giggles on a tractor deserves embedding regardless.
it shows that Sauber is definitely interested in it plus he mentions wanting to sign the Concorde Agreement. Maybe if he can get someone to support buying out the team with him? {Comment #336}
Someone give him Nelson Piquet Jr.'s phone number (since I'm fairly sure Peter isn't on Twitter)...
I'll be watching anyway but Schumi is not 100% certain so that must be good news for Mr C.
There'll be a launch party for FOFA at Spa this month, our attorney / German representative together with f1fanatic.co.uk are working on it. Needless to say I won't be there. Terribly disappointed but c'est la vie.
Ciao-ciao.
My daughter's favourite word at the moment is 'tractor', she's obsessed with them. She was pleased as punch to get to play on a John Deere last week.
the audio is a bit strained because I had about ten people looking at me like I was totally crazy.
But there was no other option. It was the only new kind of mode of transport available :)
our nephew loves tractors too!
your shirt isn't blue. I don't understand. It's like I don't even know you anymore.
so although I do like being sent free wine, I still think the entire utilities industry needs to leave me alone. got bugged by another broker today. GO AWAY
I was rather upset by doctor’s comments that Massa hadn’t sustained brain damage as he was “lucidly answering questions in Portuguese, English and Italian” – I can only manage one of those three! {Comment #378}
I think the doctor's point was that Massa was fluent in those three languages and no others, so if he could answer questions in those languages, then it indicated his brain was working as it had normally. If Felipe had managed to answer the questions in some of the languages he'd mastered and not others, that would indicate pretty clearly that there was a problem.
I don't think the doctor intended to imply that trilingualism was a prerequisite to a healthy brain...
An excuse to watch the others, how is your Mayan? {Comment #381}
All eaten apart from a few crumbs of chocolate in a wrapper in the nearest bin.
In Italian:
Indovinate un po’ chi si è opposto al test con la F60? Una scuderia che non vince da molti anni e che non ha perso l’occasione per dimostrare ancora una volta scarso spirito sportivo.
Solo una nota per la cronaca la Scuderia Ferrari aveva dato il suo ok al test del giovane Alguersuari ma pare che anche in questo caso qualcuno abbia tirato fuori l’interpretazione alla lettera dei regolamenti {Comment #392}
"Spirito sportivo" looks like a third version of fair play. It's also a fairly clear borrowing from English (how close to "sporting spirit" is that?) Someone needs to get Ferrari a better dictionary...
Odd. Twitter isn't loading for me...
It is broken.

well done. :D

s3 is still working, because we're still on air. must have a poke around.
that was easy
dosa.
who? :-/
Dammit. I was being so knowledgable and you still beat me.
Pleased to read LJ is down too, I was blaming my bad internet because I thought it a little odd that two big sites would go down at the same time.
mike arrington. he wrote the article you linked to. sensationalist blogger. loves controversy.
so does that mean that someone somewhere is doing this to twitter on purpose? who are these people and why do they get their kicks in such lame ways.
lj and fb are both okay for me.
twitter's back up.
they are for me now, they weren't about 90 minutes ago. I was disappointed when they loaded that there was nothing worth reading anyway. My LJ friends list is so boring these days, no one uses it anymore.
yes.
distributed denial, means it's likely coming from multiple co-ordinated sources... usually hacked windows machines.
ohhh. sorry about that. :(
ahh. interesting. clearly leaving the keyboard is a bad idea. i miss all the fun.
nah, don't worry about it. i think we added him to the list after a particularly bad week to sensationalism.
it is?
Or look at it another way - you come back when it's all working, miss out on the angst :)
yup.

hmmm, not for me.
also true.
I could load the homepage but nothing else, now I can't load the homepage either. It's very up and down.
maybe they're bringing it back up in some areas, but not all?
7 hours til I can buy Pearl Jam tickets. I'm too excited to sleep.
heh. I am on holiday. I was wearing a pink shirt on the beach the other day!
Normally it's only blue honest!
anyone getting withdrawal yet?
I'll forgive you this time but if it happens again, it's over.

It's speed weekend at boneville (or was, or it was soon ago, or is in the future. I don't know)
oooh its Friday. Thank you, passing of time!
bah! we still have 5 hours :(
at least its not 2am there. I should be asleep for my 8am Pearl Jam tickets alarm :D
Hurrah!! I can come back to the internet now I have do...I mean, bought The Office US season 5. Yes.
I was shocked the other day to be reading comments and come across one where you called the US Office the "good" one.
My mind. Cannot comprehend.
Ricky Gervais drives me mad in ours. ;)
Plus I looooove Steve Carrell's stuff and the american one has Dwight Schrute, possibly the greatest character in the history of mankind.
I prefer Gareth :D
:o
To be fair Gareth and Tim are awesome. I will give it that. I just prefer Jim and Dwight. Just realised the same character in both has similar names.... Jim and Tim... huh.
heheh I will admit that I have seen some of the later episodes and they were alright, but I formed most of my opinion of the show around the first couple of episodes in S1 which were pretty much word-for-word copies, which I did not like. Too easy to make comparisons to something you already love, and that never works out well for the newbie.
Noooooooo!! Don't judge it by the first series :( It is an absolutely rubbish series!
Series 1 is bleh because they did do as you say, just did the UK one, and it was so awkward. The second series onwards is just original brilliance, nothing like the british one and just pure awesome. Every character gets their own idtentity, everyone gets their own story, and it's just miles beyond the 6 episodes in the first series. Definitely recommend watching them if you have a chance rather than the first one :)
I absolutely really dislike the first series though because they just pretty much remade british humour in an American environment, which never works.
loving sean's show :)
Hello all, have just woken up again, off work sick today & have been sleeping intermittently. I have Windows Vista & I find I can only get LCLT to work on Safari but if I want to see a video (e.g. Alex on tractor) I have to go to IE & watch it from Sidepodcast there. Is it just me?
it's awesome isnt it :D
he's a natural.
shall investigate and get back to you. Vista/IE used to work fine?
I've never been able to get LCLT to work from there although I have the latest version of IE. I've only been trying since about March. Safari is fine although I don't think it downloads very well, it keeps saying "localised string not found" on menus. It's just annoying having to go back to IE to see any videos, mind you it's really only me being lazy I suppose :-)
tis fine for me :(
does anyone else have IE they can try this on for us pls?
LCLT works fine for me on IE
as does doohickey
cheers jon. janna, can you drop.io a screenshot of the broken page pls?
Commenting works fine on it too
This is from IE: Have just tried again on IE and it seems to be working OK now, sorry to have been a bother, before it was opening the extra box but not showing any comments. Thanks for your help.
Does doohickey work?
This is from doohickey
awesome :)
nice one.
if you haven't checked in a while, i would guess the recent batch of updates fixed the issue. found some performance increase when using lclt on various browsers.
Interestingly, from this comment onwards, only the LCLT in Safari has updated all the comments. The one in IE has not updated at all & the doohickey just shows my response to Jon. I assume I'm confusing it by having all three open.
is the "follow comments" checkbox ticked?
Yes in all three
how odd, i cannae help you then i'm afraid
Thanks for trying :-)
does it still say: "Status: Connected"
near the top? and what does "Last polled" say near the bottom left?
LCLT in IE says Connected and Last polled: Thu, 6 Aug 2009 17:53:42 UTC. Doohickey says Connected and Last polled: Thu, 6 Aug 2009 17:54:20 UTC.
how odd. cheers, i keep testing.
Just Checking from IE
Doohickey's better anyway ;)
Just checking from Doohickey
Sent the last two comments from their platforms. When I send the comment, all of the ones prior to that appear
cool. worth knowing. ta.
Evening.
Evening sire. How be pat this day?
Tired, but supermarkets do that, even when I'm only getting a few things! Yourself?
Pretty good thankin' ya, in the middle of packing my vast amounts of kit.
that's why I get them to deliver!
Eening all! :D
Ah good. Do you need a lot then?
Eening Scott
I convinced myself that I'd do that for the next big one.. of course today, "ahh it's only a few things it won't matter"... ha...yeah.
I'm taking enough food ot cook for myself, it's not lots, but lots for 3 days
Eening to you too ;)
I'll update the wiki.
Eening Scott :-)
Well, very good news - THE IPHONE WORKS AGAIN! :D
aaah, Mr G, how are you this fine evening?
comments are happily refreshing in IE8 for me. both doohickey and lclt :(
:D woop
yay!
It's probably just me then. They both updated at 19:02 when Jon replied to Pat but nothing since. I think they're on a go slow.
Satisfied, a bit shaky here and there but I'm good. Though if it wasn't for that blind linesman...
oop, still in football manager moder. I am just good.
:)
For sure...
I never blame the linesman I blame the game. A good worksman always blames his tools. :)
Nice one :-)
A good manager always blames the officials. Top tip is get a good assistant manager, you could be on the sidelines a bit.
I hope 'tan' is different to 'beige'. Because if they are beige there is something wrong. But tan seems ok.
Tis is true. The FA get too angsty on FM :(
All it took was to restore it at work on one of our computers. Now all I need to do is sync everything back on, then uninstall and re-install iTunes, then sync again so all my stuff gets copied onto iTunes again.
Hmm, I've only seen any FA give out warnings or touchline bans. Blatent Frej fans.
Can someone tell me what's wrong with this video compared to the title *Warning - possible "HIM" alert*
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifKQoW3Cuzk
Its testing from the 31st of July uploaded on 29th of July?
Oops, "testing" ;)
31st '07?
it wasn't top secret?
That plus:
1) It's not an F2007, looks more like an F2001. Also a V10, not a V8
2) That's Fiorano, not Mugello.
hehe. would explain why he's driving with grooves too.
so.. Youtube is lying to us?!!
I suddenly feel sick. Damn you Youtubes.
:P
Plus the fact that he's on grooved tyres, and the car he tested used GP2 rubber
Fast Lane Daily just reported this thinking this was actually him testing last week.
FAIL.
What are the odds its not even him?
FLD are rubbish, sadly.
they have a great concept but are almost always confused.
all you can see is his gloves, so i'm saying those odds are quite high
this is more likely to be him,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQjw5SGAtGU&feature=related
rtl were showing that footage on saturday, so i'm gonna say yes. scott?
It might do. We've been with them for years and they never sent us anything.. BG 'support' are Abysmal on the scale of good to bad. At least this is an improvement, they used to be Horrific.
i'm thinking due to the fact the Marlboro sponsors are lined out, it's probably right, but i'm not sure you can be 100% that far away
Maybe it is him, but just from a few years ago. Still, EPIC FAIL to all those who think that's actually him at Mugello the other week.
eh? no i meant jon's link.
Oh right, haven't seen it yet.
Yup, that's him alright. F2007 - check. Mugello - check. Red helmet lighter than the paintjob - check.
Very good :-)
Info for me - IE LCLT & Doohickey both just updated. Last update was 19:11. Am going to shut them down now. Love the panda on the Doohickey, not seen her before. :-)
cheers janna :)
Haha :-)
I just caught up with your train journey too.
Slowvalainen!
I want the US Sentator from Rhode Island to run for President....
His name is....
Wait for it...
Mr Whitehouse :D :D
well, that was fun while it lasted:
"This Pipe ran successfully but encountered some problems:
warning error fetching gmmf1.net/xml/output.php (404 Not Found)"
booo
Evening sidepodworld
hullo.
It was more than 20% reliable so it is an improvement straight off.
I am listening to Sean's first show and it is eally good.
In answer to his question I can't think of any Norwegian F1 drivers.
hey, i noticed a correction earlier:
http://friendfeed.com/gmmfeed
sadly i think it was only for a typo :(
So the answer is notes and not answers. Interesting and confusing.
Damn, Gavin's still on holiday. Could I just do my show by myself?
The sidepodradio show? He'll be back by then surely?
If you like. He is back this weekend though.
If you have anything for the show you can uplad it to http://drop.io/sidepodradio/ On;y Christine, Mr C and I can then access it so it will be fresh for people on the day.
Can anyone who listens to Sean's show please not leave a voicemail at 0121 28 87335. It should be 0121 28 87225
Yeah but I don't want to wait too long though.
OK, I'll start recording my review of the Race Pro DLC content again. Had an issue with the laptop and it kinda didn't save it.
Why not? Won't it be out of date if you do it too soon?
Mmm, true. I want enough time to edit it though. I have contemplated doing it live, but for some reason I can forsee many problems with that knowing what I'm like with Skype :P
Also, why is there a video of Alex pretending to drive a stationary tractor? Has he officially gone mad?
He seems to be on a holday where he is looking at different mode of transport. Give him another couple of days and he will be wing walking or flying helicopters.
Haven't we all gone to a farm and done that?
He's been in the Concorde at Yeovilton
No. I have driven a moving tractor but not a stationary one.
Look, I was a kid. There are good excuses.
If the worst thing you ever do is mount a pavement you will be very lucky.
I really enjoyed Sean's two 10 minute shows. I am looking forward to the real thing now. I have a feeling sidepodradio is going to be very good.
I'm yawning too much. I should stop staying up until half one every night. Cup of tea I think
* not connected to having listened to Sean's shows, I was already tired
evening.. god it's hot today :(
You mean it is possible to go to bed as early as half one. No-one rvrt told me that
Hey Lou.
Did you melt?
tis rather :(
hot and humid, but not very sunny, not here anyway.. :-(
mmm. a necessary evil on a weeknight. although this being thursday i usually exempt myself, because hey there's only one working day left...
not quite... but Dover (was at my nan's) was sooo hot today! it's a little cooler here, but not by much.
twas no cloud cover today at all.. but it's meant to rain tonight so it should cool down..
so how is everyone?
It was hot an sunny in the far north so I can't imagine what it was like that far south
Yeah we had the rain, and the cloud cover. nice and calm out now, clouds are clearing, tomorrow should be nice.
i am good, ta, yourself?
We had a bit of cloud, still a nice day though.
mum got sunburnt just working in nan's garden for like an hour :s...
i'm pleased that my driving lesson tomorrow is at 8am.. should be nice and cool :D
i'm great thanks, have had a lovely day with my aunt, cousin, nan and mum :)
Watch out for those pavements. They attack when you least expect it.
I may have attempted playing frisbee:
http://drop.io/sidepodcast/asset/snv80473-avi
yeah... lol they do... :) i'm still pleased i didn't stall it and that my manoeuvres are alright. but yeah i'll be steering away from the pavements in future :P
hehe :D
It's inevitable that you will do stuff like that and worse. The important thing is not to worry about it afterwards. A lot of people get into trouble because they make a small mistake and are so busy thinking about that and not what they are doing and end up making a bigger mistake. THink about it after the lesson but not while you are still driving.
Mock the Week next! :D
:D
Need some food as well, haven't eaten since about half 12 when I had a hotdog from the canteen at work for lunch.
Good stuff. Bit jealous of all the lovely days, my turn soon..
I like the ripple effect on his name
I'm holding out on the football, two useless teams, a useless competition and a useless host.
Going off to watch that.. enough multitasking for one day..
*moves 2ft*
Frankie Boyle has the best answers ever
anyone know the name "Ed Straw", it rings a bell but i'm not 100% sure why
Back with seasoned bowl of Uncle Bens Egg Fried Rice and 2 Brussels pate sandwiches. Yes, I am hungry :D
it really shock me up tbh, he let me pull over and talk through what happened so i could just get on with the rest of the lesson which was nice of him ;)
AUTOSPORT
ah ok, he'll be racing this weekend, found a tweet from him
It's just because it is the first time. Eventually you will do something like that and just mutter under your breath and forget it. Sounds like you have a really good instructor.
you have to get an interview with him!
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77577
What a rip!!! Usually the BRDC award winner gets an F1 test!!!
haha, tis likely, you guys will just have to be paying attention :P
i look forward to being that confident on the roads :)
Frankie Boyle
Who made Mandelson a lord? The SIth?
:D
He has tickets on sale for a new ticket at the moment, you know.
i can tell you're gonna be an impatient learner ;) when you get to 20-25 hours, and are really far from confident, then i'd start to feel concerned. so until then, just enjoy it :D
He is due a McLaren test as well.
At 30 hours I still felt iffy on the roads but I passed ok.
Oh really? This i didn't know
It just happens naturally but it takes a little time
I'm talking having major panic type non-confidence, everyones nervous when they get to the time they take their test (unless your name is Mr J Clarkson)
hehe :P
Why is Frankie growing a beard?
He has had it for ages
Yeah I know but I've noticed he's just let it grow more than he normally has in the past couple of weeks.
That was funny and relaxing :-)
I thought he got that as well.
what to do now... watch, listen or read..
hello.
Woohoo, I love discovering new techniques on photoshop accidentally :D
That's clever :)
WOW, i feel like a hippie, my rucksack has an empty milk bottle and a sieve hanging off it.
My life is now complete.
learners have to do a minimum of 150 hours here in NSW. I'm glad I got my licence well before they bought that rule in!
that insane!! are lessons alot cheaper?
Aha, Mr Taylor. You'll be pleased to know my iPhone is back to normal :P
Thank goodness I've booked tomorrow off work. Think with recent circumstances there, I needed one!
I don't know. About 30 to 40 pounds per hour? I'm a very good teacher for Zoe but at the rate she's going, she'll never get her Provisional licence (we call them p plates, or pees for short)
Lessons are £20+, which is about $40 Australian
How so?
Just looking on DVLA.gov.uk and found this:
"The next auction of 1,600 previously unissued registrations will be held at RBS Williams F1, Wantage from 5 August to 7 August"
ace. good find sir. why there though?
Pass.
quick test
Pleased to read LJ is down too, I was blaming my bad internet because I thought it a little odd that two big sites would go down at the same time. {Comment #425}
This is one of those times when I'm glad my blog is on an obscure server. Nobody is ever likely to attack it on the grounds of fame (though the server was taken down once by someone taking revenge, which spoils the theory a little...)
So, Scott, how did you fix your phone?
That's annoying. I was just smiling because Twitter was working after the DoS attack... ...when the site doesn't let me log in because the site's taking too long to respond!
i think he said earlier. filter is your friend :)
I would take the test but I can't see the question. :)
just a quick update. if you download the latest chrome beta, the noises in doohickey should be working, but aren't. the checkbox appears but nothing happens at the moment.
i should say the installer is brilliant though. it's not often i get excited by software installers, but chrome is seamless. windows installs usually involve:
- next, next, next, next, ok
- allow
- ok, ok, finish
chrome just installed without making any fuss at all. 20 years of windows and google finally cracked it.
haha. chrome failed the test with flying colours. it's a beta, so it was sort of expected.
Haven’t we all gone to a farm and done that? {Comment #563}
I haven't - perhaps living on a farm reduces the need to pretend I do.
Can it be a co-incidence that Leo launched TWiG this week?
Managed to restore it at work. Tis working perfectly now :)
haha. i'm sure it's not a co-incidence that windowsweekly has been shelved this week :)
That doesn't work if your doohickey hasn't been open for long.
great :)
But the More button! :P
agreed. also... lclt?
there is a filter on lclt...
Basically how it went was:
- Restored and updated iPhone at work
- Synced it here at home to activate it
- Restored it from a previous backup, which was last night
- Put everything back onto it
Simple :)
That's what the more button i for
thanks. Found it using browser search on the daily thread page.
boooooo!!
I'm thinking of getting a couple of audiobooks from iTunes. Maybe Richard Hammond's autobiography and the Long Way Down book by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman.
What did I do wrong?
You should try audible.com
Oops. Sorry wrong podcast
browser search? that's like, so, 1998 ;)
:D :D
the long way round book was a great read...
:D
Worked though :P
I have the Long Way Down series on DVD. Watched on BBC2 before it did. Fantastic insight into the awesome trip they took together from John O'Groats to Cape Town.
how does the actual daily thread look these days?
I think i may have seen both series on tv/ on repeat waaay too many times :D but i love it :)
A bit neglected.
ought to sort that asap.
I'm sure it will like that.
Back broken via Rucksack, Hippie look complete via empty milk bottle and sieve hangin off said rucksack.
And i'm off to sleep, night all.
Shall leave some voicemails over the weekend for your listening pleasure!

uploading 78 photos 5 at a time onto facebook is just painful :(
So many feeds. You sir, have a whale of a time. See ya later Ted.
have a great weekend Jon!
Have a great time!
hello everyone!
Anything interesting been going on in the wonderful words of f1 and sidepodcast over the last 30 hours or so which i should know about?
Before I go, just like to point out the Upcoming Schedule hasn't been filled in since July 6th. Just for the newcomers and all.
See ya folks.
noted. thanks sir.
...ummm.
giggles drove a tractor?
OOoooo. I bet the toddler loved that. Wonder if it was red.
he did??... i need to read back through the comments....
actually, 'drove' might be stretching it.
i enjoyed it, if nothing else :)
There is video on the drop, which was embedded here earlier.
Hehe. :D
i can tell i'm going to have fun reading the comments tonight :) although for some reason Jackie's missing 'v' yesterday made me giggle so much :)
ooh will check the drop?
Anything happening with the newswire? or concerned fans?
she said she was getting a new keyboard today, but i've not seen her around.
