I really like 3D, for me it is the natural progression from HD, especialy for gaming. If it wasnt for the cost i would have it now.
I understand that some people cant see it or its uncomfortable, i dont think thats a reason to hold the tech back though
You probably wouldn't use them for what we think of as 3D or even like they do on Blue Peter where we can drive the camera angle. What it would give the director is the ability to turn the cameras on the car at any time and for the footage to already have been recorded. So it's not like you would say, "oh it looks like Alonso got rammed by somebody at the back, wish I had turned the camera around there", the camera would have already recorded it and the footage could be played.
That might be hard to concentrate on for a 2 hour race with 22 cars!
Wouldnt a moveable camera be much more efficient?

well, if Lotus FAIL what to say about Virgin ... Lotus did look bad on Fri and Sat but they were actually quite quick (relatively speaking) in the race. When I was following the live timing could see that on several laps they were not that far behind FI . They however were about 2 secs faster than Virgins.
so, thinking about that it could have been that the conditions and set up caught them up in Mercedes or Ferrari way ... lets see. now when we know Mike can explain a bridge I am confident they will do just fine :-)
Well I don't see how Virgin can continue to operate with the limited budget they have - they are not exactly proving that cutting costs and using CFD is the way of the future.
We will see. I think Lotus should be in the midfield with the talent and resources they have.

they (Lotus) do not seem to be further behind the back of the midfield, they clearly are further behind the top. at the end as the team show us year after year, having a good car in race one is a bonus (and bonus points) but how it goes from then on is what matters. last year they knew they had a car that had minimal potential for further development. this year they seem to be confident that there is more to be extracted. now it all depends if they can match the pace of development of Force India, Toro Rosso or Sauber.
Well let's hope the reason for slowness is just untapped development and they do improve then.
I just expected them to be a little quicker out of the box.

Well they do seem to be a bit further behind. At the end of last season in Abu Dhabi in a normal qualifying the fastest Lotus was 1.6 behind the slowest established team. In Australia the fastest Lotus was just over 2 seconds behind the slowest other driver the blocked and out of position Heidfeld. The gap was even bigger to the other drivers.
A lot of teams were in that position. Look at Williams, there was lots of expectation for their triumphant return, but they were probably equally as disappointing as lotus when it came to a race weekend
yes, but the gap was much much smaller in the race, and the gap to Virgin in the race was huge. so they obviously still have the quali pace problem, but race pace is much better ...
The old adage is always true sponsorship stickers always seem to really weigh cars down in pre-season testing. The fewer you have, the faster you go.

Sims 2 is being silly again. One of the Sims has frozen in place, trapping 2 other Sims (including the one I was controlling) into the corner of a gym. And I've lost the cheat to unfreeze the Sim...

There are two elections at the moment in Germany. Baden-Württemberg (Mercedes, Hockenheim) and Rheinland-Pfalz (Nürburgring). In Rheinland-Pfalz, the Green Party will probably go from 4,6% to around 15% and become governing party as a minority partner with the SPD. In Baden-Württemberg they are more or less equal partner with SPD but will provide the minister president. (sorry my vocabulary especially for politics are not the best). But as I said before I don't think it will make much difference for motorsport. And in 5 years they probably will be gone again.

I use lots of keyboard shortcuts. On every every single piece of software used in Windows alt+space+x maximises it. THat applies to all browsers, word, excel etc. Absolutely everything I have ever used maximises if you use the short cut. Chrome closes 3 windows and 15 tabs if you use that to maximise one of the windows. Absolutely crazy.

I have been to one. It was freezing. Granted it was in the old ice rink in Ayr before hockey became popular here but it was cold

I've been to a few NHL games in Washington DC, so it's not like it's a podunk ice rink, that's for sure :)
The ice rink was even colder than normal Ayr

Did training go well?
It did. I got lots of lengths in, built some speed up, avoided colliding into any walls or people and didn't get any injuries or cramps. So I should be all set to rock... ...Cheshire... ...in 2 days.

How on earth do you find the time?
I'm not talking comments, I'm talking posts.
I don't think I've ever commented on a website without having an idea of what was going on and/or expecting other people to fill me in.
Skim-reading.
I get into work about 10 minutes early most days and open up the daily, do a search for my name and find the last comment i wrote then scroll down from there. 10 minutes really is all it takes, although it took a bit longer to read the live posts and their 1500 comments each over the weekend :)

It's an interesting move, but........ I just struggle to really rate Rossi. He's definitely got some speed, but I just don't think he's any better than the likes of Christian Klien, Vitantonio Liuzzi or Scott Speed.
There's not been much about his performances that's ever made me go "wow".

Haven't decided on that yet - I've gone into this with less detailed planning than usual, to give myself more of a challenge (I won 2 years ago with a highly-regimented plan and want to explore different ways of winning).
