Lo and behold, we are now entering the last week of the 2009 season, with the build-up to Abu Dhabi starting now. Even though the championships are no longer at stake, there's still some racing to be had. Meanwhile:
- RG has written an interesting analysis of a potential qualifying championship. Given a set of points based on qualifying result, who would come out on top? It certainly wasn't the result I was expecting but makes sense when you think about it.
- The organisers of the Abu Dhabi race have said the event is a sell out with all the tickets up and gone a week ahead of time. That's really good for them, particularly as they are a brand new circuit and need some success that the other new circuits are lacking.
- Ross Brawn has said he is sure they can find a way to keep Button with the team, and I am sure they can too. Rumours of a rift are presumably over-exaggerated, as they have been several times this season. It'll all be alright in the end.
That's all for now. We should have a competition launching later today, as mentioned in yesterday's Debrief. Stay tuned for that and I'll see you in the comments.
