So here's a unique problem. A very tired Christine went to bed early this evening and she doesn't appear to have written a daily post. The stroke of midnight just passed and I patiently waited for the Sidepodcast Updates system to inform me there's new stuff to read, yet nothing happened. No post, no ping, no nothing.
I am of course assuming that she has forgotten, rather than deciding to drop the feature altogether. However, given the choice between waking her and getting into heaps of trouble, and writing a post that potentially gets me into heaps of trouble, I'm pitching for the latter.
It should also be noted that the girl usually proof-reads anything I write before publishing, so if you spot any grammatical errors please holler.
A couple of topics to get the ball rolling then:
- Thoughts on the newly announced BBC commentary team - the new, the notable and the annoyingly good looking.
- Blundell-isms - now he's consigned to his own company on a Sunday afternoon, we have to ask... how did that man ever get a job presenting?
- More space - are they still up there and what do you think they can see that begins with 'c'?
- Where do you stand - live thing or doohickey?
Hopefully that'll keep you ticking over until sleeping beauty awakes.
before r.g. asks... i forgot, sorry!
melbourne planning to entice office workers to friday practice:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/sport/motorsport/f1-bosses-bank-on-webber-and-office-workers-for-starters/2008/11/24/1227491461986.html
"Key to the attempt to maximise crowd numbers is a strategy of wooing office workers to the track after work on Friday evening."
"Formula one practice, usually held in the early to mid afternoon will be shifted to 4.30pm on Friday and will finish at 6pm. Sunset occurs around 7.20pm in Melbourne during the race dates."
# More space - are they still up there and what do you think they can see that begins with ‘c‘? {original entry}
Constellation?
Comet?
Okay, new day, new post... which really means we should have a list in this post of all the guesses that aren't the answer to Steven's I spy beginning with the letter 'c'. So here goes..
- Comet
- constellation
- Christine
- Canadarm 2
- clouds
- cable
- camera
- Camaraderie
- Computer
- Cosmic dust
- Compounds
Steven has also given us a clue - it is man made.
Chinbar?
Definitely no to all of those
What about a city? that's man made... and probably visible from space when it's night, the sky is clear and the city lights are on...
great, wife will love that. I will only desert her during March Melbourne holidays after 4:30pm :-)
Now you are getting warmer. As a hint I did not say it began with c I said it began with C.
Now it gets interesting... Hmmm. How about China?
A country perhaps?
Apparently some guy in Ontario has sited the missing toolbag on his satellite. How is that possible?
Correct. Your turn.
Someone won? Hurray! And well done to Journeyer.
Apparently some guy in Ontario has sited the missing toolbag on his satellite. How is that possible? {Steven Roy - 3 comments ago}
Steven, I have no idea.
Hmmm. I'd love to hear the story behind this one.
Woohoo! I spy, with my little eye, something that begins with the letter... s.
I just saw it on the news. Just looked like a white dot to me.
is it a star? J.?
Nope, not a star. What's with J.?
Sidepodspace?
Hahaha! Creative, out-of-the-box, but no. :) Don't stretch your eyes too much, it could be right under your nose.
Smile?
Nah. Try again. :)
J. from Journeyer.
if this thing is under my nose, snot? :P
I said UNDER your nose, not IN your nose! Hahahahaha! Try again. :P
YouTube video about that toolkit in space is in moderation. :)
a shoe?
Nope. You're getting the hang of it, sorta. Keep at it. :)
A spacesuit?
A-HA! Your turn. :)
Why is it always my turn when I what to go to bed?
I spy with my little eye something that starts with the letter "C".
The doohickey thing is cool though its a pity it can only track one conversation at a time.
I like it when you want to watch sidepodpanel or one of the other live shows, and comment at the same time. It's easier to have the doohickey thing open on another page and not have to keep refreshing the comments and then you can quickly nip back to see whats happening live.
btw .. whats with the narrower width comment boxes? I think I may have to invest in some reading glasses. doh!
I've obviously not woken up properly yet (argh) I've just noticed the drop down list on the top where you can select which thread you want to comment on. Nice idea
Well, talk amongst yourslef to see what I have planned. I am off to bed. at 01:35 am local.

Oops. Apologies for leaving you in the lurch 'me'. I thought I'd done the Daily post, but I guess I must have just thought about doing it. Oh well.
I will make amends with a link. Barri is spilling the beans again.
Good Morning all,
Aww jeez... he's supposed to be one of the nice guys in F1 - all this business about him 'spilling the beans' really doesn't suit him - especially considering we all knew what happened in Austria 2002 :-)
Is he doing it to try and blackmail Ross Brawn for a Honda seat in 2009 or has he realised his career has ended and is having regrets?
Unfortunately, I will always remember him as the guy who sold his soul to get a Ferrari drive and was only there to help Schumacher win :-(
I was looking at F1.com for standings info and they appear to be a bit messed up. I know the powers that be don't like McLaren, but this is taking it a bit far, is it not?
I thought maybe they were just messing around, and the driver's standings proves it - these start off alphabetical, but then there's no clear order. Whatever they're doing, I thought it was worth capturing the moment that Jenson leads the championship.
Sleeping Beauty. Nacht.
I think that's a bit too cruel. Let's remember that the Ferrari was his best shot at winning a title. I don't think he'd have even gotten that close in a McLaren or a Williams
This is the 2007 WCC standings, isn't it?
This doesn't look alphabetical at all... I'm pretty sure I've seen this running order before, can't remember where though.
No, I just saw two Bs followed by a C. Forgot about Alonso and didn't look at the rest of the list. I can't do maths and I don't know my alphabet. It's a wonder how I get through the day!!
You're funny, Barrichello should be ahead of Button alphabetically. :P
That is also true.
Thing with Rubens' Austrian recollections: Why just now? Why not back in 2005, when he left Ferrari? Also, this is old news. Michael is long gone from the sport (at least in a driving capacity). Why bring it up again?
absolutely.
and i guess the constructors table is max's ideal finishing order?
am guessing he thinks his 2009 f1 opportunity has gone now.
if no team bosses are interested, and he feels badly treated by brawn, this is the ideal time to open his mouth. at least, before everyone forgets him.
It's the 2007 WCC order with 2008 points.
That's not a classy way of leaving the sport. If he wants to reveal it, he can do it quietly in his memoirs, get it published, and let people see it on their own. No need to promote it. It doesn't make Rubens look good, the way he just... gave way. He could've fought it off like Reutemann or Arnoux did.
I thought maybe they were just messing around, and the driver’s standings proves it - these start off alphabetical, but then there’s no clear order. {Christine - 8 comments ago}
Order in which they replied to the invite to the FIA Gala? I'm clutching at straws here...
Being serious, it looks like the teams are sequenced according to their 2007 position (which I suppose helps us with judging how they have or have not improved). Although I can't quite see exactly what pattern is in play for the drivers (if it were 2007 championship order, lou would be through the ceiling in delight), it is worth noticing a certain "Noah's Ark" tendency.
2 Honda drivers (who have been there together since 2006)
2 ex-McLaren drivers (together from 2002-2004)
(not sure what links Trulli and Heidfeld, apart from a tendency to unusual hairdos)
2 ex-Sauber drivers (who were team-mates in 2004)
(OK, it all falls to pieces after that... ...it was worth a try, though!)
Maybe it relates to testing mileage, since they've certainly never all raced in the same season.
:D
As I said, 2007 WCC order with 2008 points.
I swear the order looks familiar (in some respects, anyway), but I don't know where I've seen it before.
Live thing is better for me (but I'm yet to really experience a multi-thread banzai posting session), but doohickey has it's place as well. So both, really. :)
Morning everyone.
Remember I was the meanny that ISpy'ed a specific Star that started with a "P" and was very well known to one and all. I have done the same thing to one of the three answers of Jackie's replies.
I will throw in a RED HERRING and ask how is everyone's general knowledge of Cosmonauts?
CCCP?
nyet.
Hey, at least you what it means. I think. :P
but when you ask who, I think of Yuri Gagarin. Does he have anything to do with this?
The live commenting live....thing(lclt) tracks one conversation ata time
http://www.sidepodcast.com/ria/ajax/
The doohickey tracks all posts as they are made
http://www.sidepodcast.com/realtime/
I have now been moderated for trying to help. Unfair :(
Found it.
You have been misled by the RED HERRING.
How silly of me, I went for it AFTER you said it was a red herring. Hahaha!
Cheap Commie trick, I know.
So something specific from Jackie's two remaining choices....
Comet?
No.
I'm out of ideas. Anyone else wanna have a go?
you clearly haven't lost your touch.
i'm gonna need more clues methinks.
Your clue is: Apparently my hopes of nobody getting my answer are being forefilled.
claw?
You can not believe how close you are, me....
gah, i can't remember the name...
canadarm2?
Nope, You are getting colder me.
crane?
You where closer with "Claw" me. The funny thing is I know that 1 of 12 of you should know this answer down cold.
1 of 12? what the?! now i AM confused. :P
it's toooo hard.
Following the logical train of thought claw, crab, Cancer which is a zodiac sign which applies to 1 in 12.
that's genius!
See, we may scoff at those kids that say they want to be astronauts when they grow up, but they would be aceing this game right now.
Oh come on guys! What comes in 12's? I promise you that 1 out of 12 of you should have gotten this answer down cold.
Steven Roy, you are AMAZING. So it's Cancer the constellation, right? Get ready to have a new iSpy question for us. :P
Brilliant deductive work work Steven. it is you turn!
And as a disease, Cancer is something that I hope nobody ever gets.... Even Steven missed that clue.
i totally was not on that level.
I was going to ask something? Oh, the christmas special thingy, tis ok, had no time last evening.
I like that version, we finish second :D
What's Force India done to annoy Max so much they are behind Super Aguri?
A few of the op now.
I like the lclt thingy, I'm used to it and I like the good ol' fashioned way of commenting to blogs.
And btw, listening to the pod last night, can't help but think how you pronounced Ledge-ard so wrong. :D
became friendly with ron.
That went straight over my head.
I spy with my little sidepodeye something begining with w
we've been pronouncing names wrong for the best part of two years and you only just noticed?
web?
Water?
Well, it did lead you to answer "claw".... me, so I thougth you would have nailed it at the next guess. You disppointed me there, me, you are lucky this is not SPECTRE.....
Anyone in th UK who wants to watch the ISS/Shuttle should be able to see it tonight around 1745
To be fair, I've only been on here since End of May/June.
Fair point.
I thought that was a sneaky one and you get it first guess. Your turn
we get names wrong a lot, we're almost proud of our ineptitude :)
You are. In fact, sometimes you pick quotes for me to say just because there's a difficult name behind it. Meanie.
Haha. To be fair, I can hardly pronounce half the players in the premiership, or spell Spurs striker Roman Pavlyuchenko (that was copied btw)
that is true. sorry :(

me, your turn to tormnet us at ISpy.
I am just listening back to Sunday's podpanel and something has struck me about Lou's Skype problem. Everytime she starts to speak we can hear her perfectly then it gets worse and worse. The next time Lou or anyone else has the same problem i think we should get them to pause for a few seconds and then start speaking again as it seems like the more she spoke the worse it got. I am utterly clueless about the technology involved so this may be garbage.
Can we do this Sunday's show after Top Gear again? The shuttle is due to land around 6pm and if that fails they will probably try again at 7:30. Normally they only make two attempts because they have to close the payload bay doors and that kills the cooling system so they use up vast amounts of water cooling the shuttle.
Alright, which teams are to blame for this?
At a guess, Toro Rosso and Honda
Take your pick between Burger King, Wendy's or MacDonald's.....
oh dear...
oh if only that were true. You never know, maybe one day...
haha yeah i really would.
I think i prefer the lclt probably cause i'm used to it, however the doohickey is great too, and i have taken to using that more often, as it's brilliant to be able to keep track of the different convos. So yeah... i like both.
ah damn it's cloudy again :(
was it really that bad? I haven't listened to the 'as live' show this week, i hate hearing my own voice as it is... sorry again for the problems it caused. My skype seems to be fine any other time...
agreed. we could hear it happening, but we didn't know why.
sure. debrief will be in the afternoon again.
yay, i got one :)
i spy with my sidepodeye, something beginning with 'i'.
International Space Station?
for some reason the first couple of shows we did were just dandy. not sure why but the quality is deteriorating week by week.
don't think it's any individuals fault. maybe we should try it with two teams of two this week?
nope.
Intruiging Christmans special :D
It sounds awfully like Fig, I mean a well known comical sport show hosted by an irish dj.
that might be worth a try... we could always to some more experiments when the debrief finishes?
good plan :)
oi!
they're totally nothing at all like each other. i've never even heard of five live anyhow.
Your cap?
I went out to have a look and all I can see filling the whole sky is one humugous cloud.
sorry, no idea what you're talking about.
motion denied.
Oh, my mistake, apparantly your replying to something about five live ;)
i hate my life.
:)
hmm.... Indonesia?
nah.
Red Bull buys back Toro Rosso stake:
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/72252
[thx to: http://identi.ca/notice/1227533 :) ]
Ikea?
so now they don't need a pay driver... bourdais?
hehe. nope.
Fingers crossed. Monsieur Pomme de Terre looking very good now though.
Gulp
What? I thought Mateschitz wanted to sell not buy. This asks more questions than it answers. Is he going to run both teams? Is he going to try to get the same engine in both now that there is a spare batch of Ferraris available? Was this what Bernie use to convince Ferrari to give up FIF1?
Iceland?...
Seems a bit, er, odd? Why would Mateschitz buy back his share in Toro Rosso and fund two F1 teams when sales of Red Bull are on the decrease?
all good questions.
mine... what of berger?
Heads up - Murray Walker will be on BBC Radio 2 in the next half hour (before 1900 GMT)!
I bet Berger made a profit out of his shares but you have to ask about his future. Has there been some kind of falling out or is this just a business decision?
Would it be easier for him to sell Toro Rosso now that he owns it 100%? Or maybe (gulp) he'll be saying goodbye to Red Bull Racing?
Divinae if youve talked about this.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/72249
Where will he go if not? Renault or Toyota my bet.
he made a better job of managing a team than horner did. maybe he's set for rbr?
naah, he wouldn't let vettel go would he?
might replace nick at bmw?
Io, a moon of Jupiter?
jupiter has moons too?
oooo thanks for the heads up :)
are we live commenting muzza?
Only 62 that have complete orbits.... There one that snobby one that roams around various planets looking at the cheapest orbital rental rates... :P .
it's on now. :)
murray race previews :)
Will Sidepodcast TV be competing with Murray?
:D videos every monday after a race + previews :D yay!! go bbc :)
haha. we can't compete with murray.
ahhh, awesome stuff :D
It looks like Murray will be doing a Debrief/Preview to be recorded every Monday following a race.
"Murray Walker, the voice of motorsport - he's louder than the cars." :D
he can't an ambassador for honda and do all that surely?
I got the impression that was a one season thing.
ahh, that makes sense.
i like that he's answering listener's questions too. great going.
course he can, he's the great Murray Walker! :) plus it's only the occational monday.. we will see i suppose :)
in case anyone missed it:
http://drop.io/sidepodcast/asset/murrayonradio2
DC can work for Red Bull and the BBC so why not?
Good news is unlike ITV the BBC have discovered that the internet exists.
Jupiter has many moons, the 4 largest were discovered by Galileo when he pointed his telescope at Jupiter in 1609. His discoveries led weight to the Heliocentric theory of the solar system proposed by Copernicus, which led to him getting into trouble with the Church. The Vatican finally acknowledged that the Earth goes around the Sun in 1822 when the Pope allowed the printing of Heliocentric books.
All but Venus and Mercury have moons, Mars has 2 I believe and it varies massively between the outer planets.
Careful, everyone, least his Holiness, Pope me I, decides to have us excommunicated for suggesting the heretical idea that the Earth moves around the sun.....
i was led to believe the world revolved around christine?
Only if Christine is at one of the Geographic Poles can I see any merits to that argument, me.
NASA has just decided to launch a mission to Jupiter in 2011 so I guess we will all be learning a lot about it just like we learned a lot about Saturn and its moons from the Cassini-Huygens mission.
http://www.nasa.gov/topics/solarsystem/features/juno-20081124.html
Evening all :-)
Sorry for the quietness, I was like a maggot on a hot chop at work today :-(
You're absolutely right - it is cruel.
Basically the guy's career goes like this:
Had a mediocre debut at Jordan, got worse over the next few seasons, went further down the grid at Stewart and somehow got the Ferrari drive. When that car became uncompetitive he moved to Honda and sucked again.
One can only assume from day 1 at Ferrari he was contractually obliged to be Schumacher's number 2. He then had *some* success due to the absolute awesomeness of the 2001-2004 Ferrari but was generally slower than Schumacher, and was pants in 2000 and 2005 when other cars could match or beat Ferrari. He then went to Honda, where Jenson Button has completely wiped him out and it turns out that he couldn't drive a car without good Traction Control Electronics (Jenson just used his karting skills to get around it).
It makes no sense acting how he did in Austria 2002 because we all knew he was number two and he was so far behind at that point (I think he only had 4 points) that it was just a question of when he would move over. If the guy had not been hired by Ferrari he would have been long forgotten by now as a mundane midfielder - he sold his soul knowing he would be the number two at Ferrari, knowing it would get him wins and knowing he would never have the ability or be allowed to beat Schumacher.
Therefore I have little respect for him and even less now he is trying to 'save face' by spilling the beans. As far as I am concerned Honda are right to dump him and cultivate a new talent as he is way past his best.
By the way, I know the tone of this comment may be a bit too strong. Sorry if this offends any Barrichello fans - it's just hard not to say anything after his recent outbursts :-(
Jupiter... 2011...
OH MY GOD! 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY!
If they find a large black obilisk, run for cover!
Good morning Dave.
You all seen the new You Tube ?? They've got Widescreen now!! Wooo!!!
ah wow, goo youtube :)
i'd call it annoying, personally.
take a look at: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=sfc2imIZjXo
it's a widescreen upload, so why borders all the way around? clicking in the high quality switch fixes the problem, but jeez it looks awful by default.
oooh, hadnt seen a video that didnt work. that does look naff. hmmm, high quality all the way!! lol
We already know a lot thanks to the Pioneer, Voyager, Galileo and Cassini-Huygens missions. Jupiter is a useful staging post for probes on their way to the outer solar system (slingshot effect) so it has been visited quite a lot.
You Tube-ness, smaller videos are annoying. Grrr, that does ruin it a bit!
:)
the more i find, the worse it is. hope it's only a temporary problem.
Yes but this one is scheduled for 30 odd orbits with radar that will let us see through the clouds to the metallic hydrogen. This will give us a lot more detail than all those you mentioned that have used Jupiter's massive gravity to slingshot elsewhere.
erm....
'me', can we have a clue?
ah.., just got through some new videos and found an older one...i don't like the older videos on it :(
It is not a moon, becasue me thinks that moons do not exist except for our little planet earth.
lol ok... so that narrows it down a little...
hmm, i was gonna leave it a little longer, but okay...
the space people can most certainly see this particular 'i'. but that doesn't mean you'll need a telescope either.
True enough, I just wanted to point out that we've been to Jupiter before. Galileo was in orbit for several years before it was deliberately crashed into the planet.
Just to wrap this idea up, me, is it the constellation "Indus"?
wow... ok... i've still no idea. I'll go away and finish up my homework, and hopefully it will either come to me, or someone will guess it :)
nope.
icarus?
india?
neither.
The star "Izar"?
seriously, you're so overrating my intelligence.
Hmm, erm, iPod Touch?
yay... well, not the touch, i think they have the iPod classic(s) up there.
your turn.
This is a game of Space I-Spy and you choose the iPod???
they have ipods on the iss :)
Yea but... it's not very spacey.
but they can see it / them.
and so can i (just not theirs).
Ice cap?
I cannot deny you are within the rules of the game.
i was chuffed to learn they took em up there, let me tell ya.
It was revealed by a shot of the cockpit from the ISS that clearly shows a white iPod classic on the dashboard.
How do you know that?
Are you sure Steve Jobs isn't paying you?
http://www.tuaw.com/2008/03/15/ipods-rock-the-space-shuttle/
According to this article, iPods are not allowed on the ISS, but they are allowed on the shuttle.
i read the comments here:
http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2008/11/the_international_space_statio.html
and it told me where to look, and then i googled it to be sure
ahh, sorry yes.
not as yet, no :(
this post says they're also found on the iss though:
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewsr.html?pid=22729
I assume someone on the ISS saw through the shuttle window then. :D
igloos!
Damn, cheating doesn't seem to be able to work for me at the moment :(
I wonder how i knew you'd choose an iPod...
Ok, I spy with my sidepodeye something beginning with H.
it was Ipod! wow congrats to Dom, i would never have guessed that.
Heidemarie M. Stefanyshyn-Piper
I didn't copy that off anywhere (cheers NASA btw)
Better be right.
Well, Dom's I Spy word has just been proven to be better than me's.....
You have to think like 'me'. ;)
Nope.
Heaven ?
hehe, nope.
Before you ask, it's not hell either.
Darn. There goes that answer.
Erm, H, h, h, h. Is something that is in the ISS?
haribo?
They are spoiling those astronauts now.
Hungary?
Nope, nothing in the ISS.
Haley's Comet?
Poor Gerhard.Buys into a team, gets a win, gets bought out.
He doesn't have much luck with high level jobs in F1. BMW Sporting Director, Toro Rosso Team Principal/Owner...
He's there already!
Your turn. :)
Damn it, I got it right.
Okay then, in my little sidepod of an eye, something in which a word begins with the letter A
apple?
Think of being stuck at the north pole, thats how cold you are.
:(
:D
ahahahaa XD
applecake?
Absolute Zero?
hehe, speaking of apple, i'm just about to watch this weeks episode of the gadget show where they tried to wean one of their producers off of apple products.
astoriod?
Nothing to do with apples, cakes or food.
Nope
Good episode. Won't spoil it for you though.
Think about being in Germany, warm, but not the hottest
I have no idea how people can become that enamoured with Apple products to start with. They're not exactly the most capable devices out there.
Oh - apparently DC's kid is called.....Dalton...
Not at stupid as Apple, Fifi Trixabell or Pilot Inspektor, but not exactly a normal name.
Is this the name of a moon, R.G. ?
i fancy some apple cake now...
No.
Arctic.
Aries?
Nope, in space.
Nope
armageddon?
apple strudel ?
I've gotta gan te bed soon y'know.
Gonna be a looooong night
Aquarius?
No
Bratapfel?
it was in space. on mars or something. they had a big drill.
It's 'Dayton Minier Coulthard'.
And with regards to Toro Rosso: Berger sold his share down to the fact that he was unwilling to dip into his own pocket to help fund the team during the course of the season. With no sponsorship on the horizon and spiralling costs, things were looking decisively tough.
Which would also explain why Bourdais stated last week that they were looking for drivers with the financial backing rather than the talent.
I disagree, the key to Apple's is integration - most of the software looks similar, extending the look and feel of the operating system to applications. Apple also don't play the "move things around for the sake of it" game, so the consistency is always there.
I got my first Mac (and iPod) in December last year and I wouldn't go back to Windows now. I find XP clunky and Vista unbearably slow in comparison.
Antlia?
Asteroids?
Twas an astroid
Not even beginning with A
Atmosphere?
No, no, no
huh? Astroid? is that the answer?
nah, apparently bruce willis blew one up. i thought it was a whole planet :(
oh right...
your light years away from it, but pretty close
I thought the translation might :)
you don't happen to write crosswords for a living do you?
Aitken basin (South pole on the Moon)?
You want the name of an ateroid for the answer?
Aurora?
That was on TV a couple of weeks ago. Definitely just an asteroid.
No
this is a clue
-
Still at school im afraid.
Non
The star Alshat (Nu Capricorni)?
No
Is this something to do with the universe being shaped like a torus ? Close in one direction but far away the other way?
Ya wha? Erm, no. This of it literally, whats light years away, but still pretty close in universe standards?
Another star?
Not a star/constallation
Alpha Centauri ? (Cloest star to ours, except the sun).
Youre getting there, but not a star.constallation
Andromeda Galaxy ?
This is starting to require google now.
The Aten asteroids?
And he has got it.
Your go.
what is it?
it's a galaxy ;)
It's a galaxy far, far away except on a universal scale.
The Andromeda galaxy, 2.5 light years away, but the closest galaxy to our own
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andromeda_Galaxy
right. :D
not an apple then :(
Hence my clue ;)
And as in perfect timing, night all.
sorry i'm in that kinda mood tonight :P
Yay! I spy with my sidepodeye something that starts with the letter "S".
catch ya tomorrow!
night R.G.
Do Apple make it?
another one beginning with 's'... is it one we have had before?
what about Saturn?
Nope. Gases made it.
Well someone has posted the Wikipedia link for the Andromeda Galaxy, so that saves me some typing.
The Universe is, apparently, saddle shaped.
Bruce Willis blew up an asteroid in Armageddon
Exploding planets feature in Star Wars and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
No it is not saturn. Nor have we used it before. It is the eye that can not see.
how about Sirius?
Are we talking about the eye shaped nebula? I could be here all night and not remember the name of that?
Wow! Two tries and Lou got it right!
wow!
...what's sirius?
Poor Doggie! Lou nailed his eye.... Yay! it's your turn. Lou.
Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky, me. It is where the eye would be on teh constellion Canis Major, hence "the eye that can not see."
the brightest star in our night sky. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sirius
