Happy Easter Sunday everyone! I hope you all have a large amount of chocolate or maybe some celebratory Pimms to help you through this non F1 filled day. Just…
14 days, 12 hours and 58 minutes until the Turkish Grand Prix. #f1
… and that really is the end of the F1 news today, well that was short.
Moving on to more motorsport news have you seen Mike Conway’s new haircut? I mean driver video? He takes us round his apartment (which I love), on a track walk, to breakfast and much more! Make sure you check it out.
Leigh’s been off travelling around on public transport again in order to get to cover some F3 races. Here is his report from yesterday, look out for a diary of how things are going from him in the next few days too. Not sure about you but I’m starting to get a bit jealous of his F3 tour!
Yesterday was fun wasn’t it? Amy made a banoffee pie, Lukeh went to Cardiff, Mr and Mrs C went on a day out (and had a fabulously named drink too! ) and Pat was also enjoying the sunshine while playing a round of golf. Make sure you all continue to enjoy the sunshine, goodness knows when it will be replaced by rain!
Yesterday also marked the return of a much loved series over here at sidepodcast. Dr Who made it’s come back to our screens in a rather confusing fashion. Check out our live thread for more details on our initial thoughts, while Lukeh offers some more collected thoughts over on his blog.
I have a lot of exciting arty links for you all today, as always discussion of links, plus anything you may feel inspired by is welcome in the comments.
• I’ve always had a soft spot for documentary and photojournalistic photography, Lee Jeffries and Jan Banning both have amazing technical ability as well as a stunning eye for detail and composition. Their photographs are true works of art, please check them out.
• Within nature photography it is getting increasingly difficult to produce highly original and unique pieces but Cecelia Webber has managed it with her recreations of nature using human forms. Amazing.
• Creativity is something I always try to encourage, be it using post it notes, toy advertisements, competitions, city walls (absolutely love this!) or innovative and cute ideas we wish were on sale in ikea.
• If you like photography, and if you do I don’t blame you it’s wonderful, have you looked at these websites? They’re all pretty great and often contain very useful tips.
• Finally I want to finish with a truly beautiful piece of footage. It’s a time-lapse video created by Terje Sorgjerd and it leaves me speechless. What do you think?
That’s about it for me today, I hope you all have a lovely day and I’ll see you in the comments.
I the days when i prepared for daily posts and wrote them during the day, not last minute... and by that i mean that one time.. :) hehe anyways. hello sunday!
ohh i think i'm a bit tired.. :/
Hello lovely action packed daily!
Hehehehe, the Angry Birds are genius as are the toy store ads. Really, really love the time lapse video too, pretty much proof right there how stunning life can be. Awesome daily Lou :)
I love saving up the links from your dailies, Lou. Thanks for all the fun stuff. :)
Hello, everyone.
Nice daily, Lou! :)
On an F1 tangent. from Adam C:
#F1 Well done to @nelsonpiquet, who was second to Kyle Busch in the NASCAR trucks at Nashville. And Kimi's coming next month!
Great daily Lou
Hi Journeyer
Hey Steven. Anything I missed the past few days? :D
I'm gonna head to sleep anyways, night guys
Night Lukeh.
Night Lukeh
i should also head off too.
night lukeh, night all! xx
Night Lou.
Nothing very exciting other than last night's argument about the FIA's plans to ban DRS in onaco
Moncao
Night Lou
You mean Monaco? :D The ban will be interesting. If we still get an overtaking-fest there, that may be the first end towards ending the DRS. It seems tyre degredation is playing more of a role than the DRS in helping overtaking.
We should get some interesting info. I just object to there being some rules for some races and other rules for others.
I fully agree with you on that count. It's just making it seem all contrived.
I made the same comment last night and a two hour argument ensued.
Oh, is that what it was!
[I think it's best though]
#LetSleepingDogsLie
Oops. Should've given you backup. :D
Indeed. They're asleep now anyhow. :D Hello Bassano.
#noargumentSunday
It was a great discussion though and so good that so many people got involved
I get that but DRS has been openly released as 'work in progress'
This is the way it is until the aero rules change dramatically [if ever]
Hi Hourneyer
Agreed
Or Journeyer, whatever works ;)
lala lalalala
#notarguing
Hourneyer must live in Moncao. :D
Good. Hahaha! Anyway, off to breakfast. See ya later!
Enjoy
I have been researching yellow vs blue iPhone LCDs
And consulting with unnamed Geniuses
Happy breakfast, don't eat too many eggs :)
Are they causing your yellowing?
Seems there are 2 types that are either cooler with a blue tinge [which look better] and warmer with a yellow tint [which look awful]
As I am a fussy but very good Apple customer, I am not stopping until I get a replacement that is like my original
Am using the photography slant so far at the store but the gloves will eventually come off :)
ALL of the shop display models are of the blue variety
The defence rests
It is not unreasonable to want a white screen. Apple should be totally embarrassed they can't do it. They are supposed to produced high capability products and they can't do basics. I think you should just keep spamming them on twitter. Most companies have programs collecting tweets with relavent terms in them
THey kept the good ones and sold the bad.
Some people like the warmer tones, others will never notice. I am neither of those
Public warring isn't necessary until it's necessary. I am aiming for compensation this time, the parking ticket [which was my fault] saw to that.
Being polite yet determined worked with Monsieur Cahier, I'll continue on that front for now. In the past, I have not been a calm complainer but it always works in the end
#Stubborn
I am wondering if they switched LCD suppliers, or biased towards the warmer ones for some reason
If it works for you great but I know a lot of people have had problems solved within hours of complaining on twitter. In some cases where they only mentioned the problem and did not even intend to speak to the people concerned
Unlikely to be a supplier issue
Evening everyone.
I am up to bat for the Daily tomorrow. Anyone have anything interesting to share ?
They source their LCD panels from more than one supplier for iPhones and iPads
Last one I had I gave to Lou a couple of hours ago
I am sure they use multiple suppliers but their should not be an obvious colour difference between them
I follow Phil Schiller, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing. We shall see, never say never :)
For info: Apple sold 18.6 million of them in the last quarter
Hi Jordan, scan tomorrow's [Sunday's] thread before you post, there'll be stuff around
Agreed
But I am just finishing for anything for my wrapped mind to twist the words totally out of their content. Like Steven Roy's talk about an Astroid becoming a planet turning into a mini-discussion on the B-52's just because I mentioned that the nineth planet is "Planet Claire"
:D
Maybe by tomorrow, there will be Bassano's campaign for an iPhone 4 that isn't yellow, cos 3 in a row is tiring and not good for such a loyal Apple customer.
Just saying

You are right. Real Macintosh Apples are actually a light Green colour, aren't they ? Or am I thinking of Granny Smith Apples ?
Green is always better than yellow :)
Now you're just being silly, that'd never catch on ;)
Who wants to drive a car like that?
Simply stunning
The Aurora is also a beautiful piece
And so, off to bed. Much overdue
Morning everyone :)

Good morning everyone.
Sunny sunshine here at Catalonia, but those clouds are already coming...
Morning Alex, Natal Felicitations. Hope you have a good one.
happy birthday mr giggles!
Good morning, Happy Easter ...and in case i dont see you, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight
Future Team Lotus Driver from spain? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUMcWI4Mzyg
It would be nice :)
There are plenty of young talented drivers from Spain, hope some of them will drive one day a F1 car.
There is also Carlos Sainz Jr., who is in Red Bull's Young Drivers Academy.
And happy Birthday Alex! http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs36/i/2008/281/0/c/Happy_Birthday_Alex_by_minimariodrawer.jpg
Happy Easter everyone! Cloudy here in Derbyshire and cloudy over at Le Mans (they're testing there today).
Hello Alianora.
Here in Northern Spain is sunny, but the last two days were very very very rainy.
I think the weather's been storing up weeks of water for the last 24 and next 24 hours.
There was a thunderstorm here l yesterday afternoon. Not much rain fell but there's due to be a fair bit
Do they test on the full track or just the Bugatti circuit?
Mmmmm ... I lovely chocolate. yummy, yummy. Happy Easter!!!
I've just read Lukeh's idea for a F1 Manager game. I liked it a lot, hopefully one day there will be a online game like that.
Who doesn't? hehehe
Happy Easter!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes.
Enjoy your day, Alex :)
Looks like Tickets For Abu Dhabi are going on sale at the end of this week.... In the event you have decided it isnt the worse thing to hit F1 since Mastercard Lola :)
I may be able to take a few visitors
You know I can't say no to visiting another race track, but I is broke now :D
There is always next year :)
No dodgy taxis to the track either!
No slots on my sports travel calender til 2014 I'm afraid :)
haha, where are you off to for 2013
2013 I'm hoping to do the USA/Canada races. If the USA race doesn't happen I'd still like to do Montreal :)
Do they test on the full track or just the Bugatti circuit?
Full track. Laps are taking 3:32 seconds for the Audis despite there being quite a bit of grease raised by last night's thunderstorm.
Lotterer and Kristensen are fastest in LMP1, Fisico's fastest in GTE and one of the Aston Martins has lost an engine already.
Lets hope they keep them together! I did hear an idea about making Austin the season opener after the 1st year
making them go to that part of the world twice would be the worst idea ever.
Mark Webber says on Twitter:
Ironic?
Even if they did the first one en route to the further-flung rounds like Bahrain was for Australia? (Though I'd still prefer Melbourne as the opener).
Well, that's true, but knowing that last year the difference between the Brazilian race and the Abu Dhabi race was just one week, anything is possible.
Speaking of Bahrain, There is an open letter to Bernie on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=186636461382656
Morning kids
Live timing for Le Mans just fell over :(
but you can fly via the Middle East to get to Australia. No one ever flies via Texas. (I'm sure people do, but generally not in F1 I'd say)
Where is it? (the live timing, not Le Mans hehe)
I flew via colorado, its not that far away.
I had to stop in New Zealand too... There were Sheep on the runway!*
*may not be strictly true ;)
http://www.lemans.org/en/courses/24h-du-mans/test-day-2011/live-timing.html
And it's come back :)
In the end I haven't heard that rumour anyway so I'm just going to assume Nick is wrong :D
About the sheep? :)
I hope everyone is having a nice Easter Sunday morning
just in general :P
I am :)
Exactly, but here in Catalonia the big celebration will be tomorrow :)
Children are given chocolate figures by an adult of their family.
!!! Haha :P
Here is an example of what children will recieve tomorrow. We call those chocolate figures "mones", "mona" in singular. The translation to english would be "monkey", but I can say they are not related hehe.
That's a little F1 mona: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_h6zoN4iTBBw/SeIiMc5Z4-I/AAAAAAAACHc/ypGbIlKKOc4/s320/mona2.jpg
Lovely :)
Awww sweet
Yummy!
I can run for twenty minute ping! http://amysrunning.posterous.com/week-5-day-3
Bye bye everyone. Have a great Morning and see you later :D
Enjoy your day!
Good golly.
Look who decided to finally get a domain name...
http://www.thef1archive.co.uk/
Whooo! :D
Good plan :)
So exciting news... I am planning a Giggles Radio - Super Soaraway Summertime Special from 4pm tomorrow!
Surprise!
its your birthday but we get the present :D
Well I got the present of some time off so I decided to fill it :)
You should be careful, there are rumors fourstar may be taking a donkey to the office this week!
I am very jealous of all this time off everyone has.
Im getting texts from my friends here from a beer garden, everyone in the UK sems to have 2 weeks off, and im at work on easter sunday!
Coundnt they have turned the internet off for the weekend?
Sorry.
I think my boss is winding me up, he told me on skype he is coming in, but its lunch time and no sign!
Oooh, well done! I still remember that run from mine, it's a big moment :)
No way, our weekend would be ruined!
it's not fair to go from 8 minutes to 20, it's terrifying!
Booo... ok i will do my best to make sure it doesnt fall apart :)
After buying it 12 days ago I have finally put my electric blanket on my bed. Just in time for the weather to have a remarkable upturn so the nights aren't cold anymore.
It's weird, and looks wrong, but clearly it is actually doable!
I wish I'd run faster, I finished it and was barely puffed. Fitness is weird.
I whole-heartedly agree.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb8VMEwdzJI&feature=watch_response
check it out, tiltshift fans!
The #2 Audi is in the gravel, apparently due to driver error from Fassler.
Morning all :)
Oooh life!
Hellooo :)
Hello :)
How is Lemans going?
Any Saudis in those Audis? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqJDuZIcQ34
It's going well unless your team is called Aston Martin. The #009's engine blew within the first half-hour and they have no spare. Luckily its drivers are not rookies so can sit out the rest of the day if necessary. #008 has not exactly been problem-free either.
Audi has posted a 3:27 (normally the organisers don't like cars doing faster than 3:30) and is looking incredibly strong, but Peugeot are obviously sandbagging. The Pescarolos looked good, except for the time Fassler went off and had to use a roundabout - with public traffic on it by the sound of it - in order to get back onto the circuit!
The #41 Greaves car (the one Alex Brundle is due to drive later) is the fastest thing in LMP2 by 0.8 seconds.
The #93 Genoa is the fastest FLM, but that category's been pretty quiet so far.
In GTE-Pro, it's basically been a battle between Fisichella (AF Corse) and Simonsen (Hankook). The latter put in a sterling lap and ended up a second faster than Fisi, but Fisi is 1.6 seconds clear of the BMW in third.
The #50 Larbre is the fastest GTE-Am.
Is that a testing speed limit? Why is it there?
Not sure if the BBC have thought through their choice of photo here for Robert's pose...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/13161731.stm
Not a formal limit, but the circuit can only realistically accommodate cars below a certain speed (just like every other circuit). This is especially true given that the fast cars have to share space with slower ones. The organisers tend to change the technical regulations to try to keep the cars below 3:30 because that's roughly the fastest that can be happily accommodated. The Audi times will probably trigger a slowing of the LMP1 cars next year for safety reasons.
Furthermore, the organisers have to do performance balancing because they don't like one manufacturer stealing so much of the advantage that the result is easy to predict. They can performance balance right up to the week of Le Mans. Since the teams care a lot about their Le Mans results, normally they sandbag until Le Mans week to protect their advantage. Peugeot seem to be doing it now but I have the feeling someone's let the cat out of the bag at Audi, possibly to their detriment.
I heard about that!
The is an unwritten rule of course about how fast a circuit / car combo can be before it begins to represent a danger
… and that really is the end of the F1 news today, well that was short.
hehe!

I am not here (transitting between babysitting duties and lunch with mum).
They think going below a certain laptime is too dangerous. I think they artificially set it too high because they know the cars can go faster, Audi were doing 3m26s 4 or 5 years ago and they and Pug do it in quali now. New rules (again) this yr should peg 'em back a tad but they've probably recovered that already
just watching this programme steven linked to earlier: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00zgy75/My_Life_Series_2_Boy_Racers/
tis very good.
it's a cbbc programme too, so christine will like it too ;)
Hello everyone again :)
:)
Cheeky!
Do you think so? http://planetf1.com/driver/18227/6893416/Karthikeyan-Hispania-important-to-F1
Afternoon folks
Happy birthday Alex [insert birthday candles icon here]
Thanks to you and everyone else :)
oooooh cake? happy birthday alex.
Is Mr C short for Mr Cake?
Hi Marti
Unfortunately, if PlanetF1 are saying it, then it's probably about the weather or something. Who knows?
by default, i ignore everything planet f1 say, always.
here's the original though, with an arguably better headline: http://www.hindustantimes.com/News-Feed/motorsports/Survival-will-do-for-now-says-Karthikeyan/Article1-687747.aspx
No. At least it's not being a complete embarrassment though - at the moment my inclination is to give it another chance.
Mr C, seeing your passion for cakes I guess you love to be at Barcelona tomorrow...
If you visited the catalan pastry shops you'd find cakes like these (and it's a little one): http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Lt8WG8Drxr4/S7ztOPCHJAI/AAAAAAAADIQ/Whs5_s5dF1A/s1600/DSC_1171.JPG
It's a Catalan tradition we celebrate in Easter.
Happy birthday, Alex!
i'm in the wrong country!
Why do you think so?
Lovely chocolate :)
A lot of it is GMM content which they're not 100% reliable about even crediting as such. Some of their own writing is pretty strange. Don't get me started on the forum.
It's a long story, does anyone have the link to the 'sites we trust' post? [I'm mobile and it's a pain at the mo]
agreed. in short there are many more reliable sources of information out there.
sure, but it's quite out of date: http://sidepodcast.com/post/f1-websites-you-can-trust
Websites we can trust
which I suggest needs an update when convenient.
The first two and the last one should be pretty safe though ;)
Thanks Alia
And Mr C
The principles still stand though
The 31st Jan 2011 post probably should be deleted
huh?
This for a moment made me think that you were adding Mr C to the list of Websites you can trust.
even i don't trust me!
I don't believe that for one... hold on! WORMHOLE!
The Aston Martin AMR-One team has run out of engines. Both of the ones in the cars they took have gone and there were no spares with the team.
Done.
Time to have lunch.
See you later ;)
Enjoy your lunch :)
Anyone is welcome to write an updated websites we trust post, by the way. If you get bored waiting for us to do it.
I would do it but my list is extremely short.
Same.
so is ours.
I want to be included :)
My list is Sidepodcast after people have told me what to believe in the comments :)
"Want to make money online fast. Go here: http...."
Oops, just catching up
Shhh... its supposed to be a secret!

Has anyone had password issues with Twitter after changing it.
Due to spurious DMs I changed my password but twitter doesn't seem to agree with me what it is. Think I';; have to do the procdss again
Silly billies [that should have a goat avatar akin to the fail whale]
Funnily enough, that's also my list these days (though I also add certain fora and Twitter friends after they've analysed what to believe).
Ooh, I think I can hear Lou eeking already :)
Only issue I've had with Twitter after attempts at changing is that I can't comment, search or do any other useful activity with it, except to switch back to Old Twitter.
That's not useful, don't know how that affects Twitter clients as I rarely use the web interface
Having yet to find a Twitter client that even works on my computer, changing the system so I can't use the Web interface means I'll be barred from Twitter by bad programming :(
I did create an account that is on standby if the yellow phone issues get sorted. @Yellow_iPhone
No point in following, I may never use it but Phil Schiller may get some tweets if required [Apple Marketing VP]
Which browser do you use again Alianora?
Opera 11.10.
Have always meant to ask, what is it about Opera that makes you stick with it?
I would say that that is where the bad programming lies.
How does one switch back to ye olde twitter and does it affect the API and the interction with Clients?
It's only about the web interface
It works and it isn't slow. Every other browser I've tried has one or the other problem.
When I did it, the option was offered at the top of the screen on New Twitter. I don't know if that's still the case and I'm not risking it unless I get a guarantee from Twitter that the problems I reported 3 months ago have been fixed.
No browser is perfect, is it a 'stripped down' browser that runs on lower resources?
Ta
It's a full desktop browser (though the most advanced of the "stripped down" versions was on my PDA).
On the web interface click on your name top right and choose switch to old twitter
But is it designed for lower power machines cos other browsers are certainly not slow these days
These days my computer is considered a "lower-power" machine - the insides haven't had a meaningful upgrade for five years. We exist too...
Which is why I asked about Opera's requirements
I can't find the requirements, but Opera is coded for efficiency, partly by not natively including proprietary things like ActiveX controls that only work on one platform (Java, however, is supported). That said, I'm also facing a problem that my email doesn't look like it will support Opera when it upgrades either, leaving me looking for a new email provider since upgrading the computer isn't a realistic option at this time.
Found the Opera requirements:
Minimum configuration
Windows 2000 on a Pentium II
256 MB of RAM
100 MB of free disk space
Which for me seems a little excessive for a browser, but there you go...
Have just discovered tweeteorites, which appear to be Friends' favourite tweets. This made me chuckle:
I used to twitter to escape Facebook. Twitter is now turning into Facebook. Not sure where else to turn except to get a **** life
Which is the excessive part?
Depends how you use your browser I guess
Shouldn't need a Pentium II - or 256 MB of RAM to surf the internet. Remember surfing it quite happily on a high-end 486 and 32 MB of RAM...
Like I said, depends on usage.
I have 2 browsers open at the moment, one is using more memory than that and the other not far under.
I didn't realise computers with those stats would even turn on these days.
They do and I believe one of my cousins has one for coursework (admittedly even she has a faster one for games these days).
Firefox has no minimum requirements but recommends a processor two generations quicker than the one I have!
Recommended Hardware
Pentium 4 or newer processor that supports SSE2
512MB of RAM
200MB of hard drive space
Even my first ever internet connected computer with its lovely dial up modem was a Pentium III.
If you haven't been able to upgrade in almost 15 years, I'd be surprised if anything at all worked :D
Alianora what spec machine are you running and operating system? if you don't mind me asking?
My computer is 5 years old and most of the non-Internet stuff I want to run works just as well now as it did when it was first re-assembled (there's been ups and down in the interim). The one exception is that when Sims 2 put on that stupid SecuROM DRM, it started demanding Norton run in Safe Mode (as opposed to off or full) to run.
but if a pentium 4 is two generations newer than what you have, my brain works that out to be a pentium II, which is 1997 technology?
Athlon 1700+
1.5 GB RAM
Windows XP SP2
160 GB hard drive with 60 GB free that's never been anywhere near full (even if you count deleted software - i.e. fragmentation is not likely to be an issue)
Do you need any other details?
Pentium II is at least 1999 technology and in any case Athlon is right at the top end of Pentium II equivalents. I'm not sure AMD ever made a true Pentium III equivalent because they swapped architecture so rapidly afterwards.
the internet still looked very very very very very different in 1999. I'm suddenly not shocked nothing ever works for you :)
It did - but not so different that the other browsers should refuse to install and/or load text pages correctly!
I'm getting worried. I found a link some of my friends might be interested in, posted it to them... ...and only remembered 15 minutes later a rather important piece of information: the item is in French and most of them read English...
A year in computer technology is like five years in car technology. And while you aren't really installing new things on your computer the web is giving you new versions all of the time. You are driving around the internet in a sixty year old car, which is not to say that it is undrivable but you probably don't have ABS or airbags.
I think the machine is the main source of the issues you are experiencing not the browsers. I think this in part because of the machine specs, and in part because you do seem to be the person I know who experiences the most problems.
...and I does be back folks. Had a rather lovely dinner.
:)
mmm dinner. I haven't had dinner. I'm considering some midnight pie soon :)
Maybe we need Ye Olde Internet, like Ye Olde Comments used to be before the upgrade :)
Also bought myself some chocolate too
Which makes it frustrating because it means that until I get a job there's realistically nothing I can do about it. It'll cost slightly under £200 to build a computer of the correct generation and quite a bit more to buy one...
Good thinking!
The other annoying thing is that iPlayer runs smoother than a lot of the more standard-looking bits of the internet these days. Surely text should take less processing power than video?
I have no chocolate! worst easter ever!
Indeed. I have looked briefly and the cheapest you can probably get it to work is about £150
Doesn't the iPlayer adjust according to the conditions of the download?
Good old BBC, trying to help everyone
wow, I didn't realise you could build computers for that much since my last 3 have all been laptops!
No eggs though
:(
£150? That would be cheaper than buying in bits (albeit still above the budget I'm likely to be able to raise for a while). Could you please give me a link?
And a tablet! :D
ah yes, that too was also nowhere near £150 :D
It does, but even the most basic mode wouldn't work on dial-up whereas a fair few of the sites that cause me problems have the sort of content that to my mind should (on the grounds that they did a few years back when my household was on dial-up only).
Well I think the problems might be wider than just the processor but it's hard to say exactly what they are... I would say being able to use a standard browser is better. But then I am sure twitter works in Opera but somehow doesn't on your machine... I don't know why but that seems to be the issue.
#indycar
Scott Dixon's wife, Emma, has joined Twitter - expect much online male frothing at the mouth (probably).
Just imagine Emma Dixon, Ashley Judd and Nicole Briscoe in a room together and watch the world collapse into itself
Judging from the performance feedback I'm getting, the processor is the bottleneck, whether it's supposed to be or not.
Well... I did a bit of back of envelope maths there to make it work... http://www.ebuyer.com/product/225757 includes windows and a new keyboard and a mouse but it was the first thing I looked at... You could probably find a cut down version... Might take a bit more searching though.
Try this page: http://www.dabs.com/category/computing,desktops-and-monitors,barebone-pcs/11253
actually don't
It looks like a good system. I'll need to replace a few bits to make it work in my specific situation but it's better than any of the other ultra-cheap pre-built systems I've seen advertised.
I'd need a serious downgrade on the operating system unless Windows 7 has an interface like XP (as opposed to like Vista) because I found Vista's user interface totally unusable (as has most of the other people I've met face-to-face). Though I'd be able to use my current OS licence, so that would save me some money.
The video card would need to be replaced because I don't think Sims 2 supports on-board chipsets properly (as in, it needs a lot of extra processor, RAM and hard drive speed to work round the limitation).
The mouse would be useless to me because I need my mice to have a ball, not be optical, otherwise they end up being really, really slow (even on computers that otherwise work fine - I really like computers but sometimes I feel like a walking techbane). Also, the nightmarish experience I had with the one wireless mouse I had before means I would have to replace the keyboard with the venerable keyboard (which is literally from 1997 and has withstood my harsh typing technique surprisingly well).
The WLAN would need to be replaced with a wired system because the walls of my house are too thick for wireless to work (the network engineers didn't plan for houses with foot-thick stone walls). That's cheap... ...as long as the case supports the right sort of connector. Otherwise the entire case will need replacing.
Well that's why I was kind of thinking that if you didn't add windows, you already have a licence, you didn't need a new keyboard or mouse, then that would knock some money from the price.
The problem with all in one systems is they tend not to be very upgradable.
eg. adding an extra graphics card usually isn't an option
Which I'd need to do to get Sims 2 working properly because it's not fond of built-in ones (it works but only with a lot more resources and slower).
The system I had in mind is a custom build-up one from components, with a Phenom 8550 at its core. That, the motherboard, a heatsink, an entry-level dedicated video card, a power supply, 2GB RAM, a 1.5 TB hard drive and a case look like being around £180 if I buy them now. The trouble is that's still 3 weeks' "income"...
Alex Brundle is on track in the #41 Greaves LMP2 :)
The amusing situation has developed where the #68 Robertson could be thrown out through lack of laps for its rookie drivers... ...allowing the #69 Robertson in due to it being first reserve.
Alex Wurz's choice of biccie for the day, and quite right ;) http://twitpic.com/4oxyzf
:D
Comestibles argument brewing at Peugeot. It's quite funny...
Ooh, word of the day
Heheh :D
Greetings ! My daily post is coming along nicely now. It is now just a major case of proper formatting to make it look right but I am just wondering if anyone is bloging about the race today (I think it is Le Mans Series at Spa) so that I can make a proper llink to it. ?
The "race" today is a test. I'm happy to blog about it though I can't say I'm likely to be the most objective of writers ;)
Isn't that the point of blogging to some degree, personal opinion?
It is part of the point of blogging. I just thought I'd better warn you ;)
I am watching tennis. And not blogging about it. Clay tennis is soo borrrrrring.
I think it'd probably be better if they used proper tennis balls instead of clay
:D It's the only time of year where I generally only watch the finals :D so far Rafa has won them both. This ones not even over yet, but he'll win it.

If you are I can put a link to it. Right now I sort-of have a link to the series' main site.
Hi again :)
Holy Smokes. I was looking around for links for my daily and have found out that Hollywood is planning to bring out Top Gun II in 2013!
1st Officer Lou did not even warn me about the new film and I almost did a fly-by of the tower in distraction.... :P
Too bad it is starring Tom Cruise again.....
Just found out that one of the lads from Ch.4's Friday Night Dinner is the son of Jim, Tom Rosenthal
#F1Past
I'm in the process of writing the Le Mans test blog entry. Anybody in particular you want me to write about?
Looks very much like a tenuous or unsigned project at the moment. With Tom Cruise 'rumoured' and a 2013 release, Tony Scott probably mentioned it in a bar or something. Still, stranger things have happened. Howard The Duck, for instance
Nothing specific. Any Highlights will do. Just want something I can link to.
Happy Easter, kids, and happy birthday, Alex!
I slept late today. Just as I get in the vacation groove, it's over. That's okay, though. I had a very productive week.
I am looking for a new theme for my wordpress blog. Any suggestions?
Best new show on tv is on AMC, it's called The Killling. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637727/
or The Killing with the right amount of L's, if you prefer.
OK. I think I'm about halfway through the article but obviously I can't finish it until I've thought through the last bits of the test...
Heya Kai. When it comes to TV shows I'm really getting into How I Met Your Mother at the moment :)
Thank you :)
oh yes, very popular here. Doogie Howser does a good job. :)
Also, has anyone mentioned that it's a very happy Easter for Robert Kubica because he's left the Pietra Ligure hospital?
4amy: http://sidepodcast.posterous.com/found-a-quiet-beach
I finally watched Dr Horribles Singalong Blog after years of hearing about it and I looooved it :D
yaaaay! but boo at the bottom bit.
Hehehehe, Neil patrick harris is brilliant.
Although on the subject of new-ish american dramas like The Killing as you mentioned, have you ever seen The Walking Dead? I know it's been on a while new in the US but I only got to see the first episode last week. To be honest I was a little disappointed after how much hype and praise it got.
Booo for no wifi but yaaay for awesome scenes!
I have just discoverd THE EVENT
its like LOST, but with a more dramatic title and less trees
hehe
I read that as 4am - y, thinking you got up at 4am and went out to take pics! Silly.
That beach looks like heaven to me.
I think RG was on about that before but lost interest in it or something. It does sound very Lost-esque though from what I remember
I haven't seen it because it's on HBO and I don't subscribe to the premium channels. I've heard the good things you have. Steve Buscemi, isn't it?
I lost interest in that about halfway through the pilot sadly, the ads made it look waaaay better than it was.
It does have redeeming feature over lost in that their are actual bad guys and you can see what they are up to!
I didnt like the pilot, i watched it a few weeks back, but i was stuck with nothing to watch and it gets a whole bunch better
People you could see would be a welcome change over Lost, which is what I was.
I also really like boadwalk empire. I love the era
nah, he's not in it. The main guy is Andrew Lincoln who I can understand if you've never heard of him but he's a british actor who's done shows here I really love like Teachers. I just can't get my head around seeing him as an American cop with a southern accent after some of the stuff he's done here though. Just so so surreal!
TV here is up to episode 17 and I don't want to give it a try if I've already missed so much and I don't want to download something I didn't like in the first try. I'm so stubborn :D
we got a bit lost. may never see it again. probs why no-one else there.
(mr c)
I feel like that everytime I see the scottish guy from Dog Soldiers on Greys Anatomy :D
oh, that may be what I was thinking of.. with Steve B.
I love when people can do accents really well, and it's such a surprise to find out how they really speak (House).
yes! Another prime example with the absolute genius that is hugh laurie :)
Time to make brekkie/brunchie. I'll be here, kinda.
Thats the one. Its fullfilling my sopranos addiction. I think its just as good. Its pretty mature show though
Time for me to Pub. I may drop in :)
How about just giving me the link to it as it is just a case of linking everything together on my daily post and I am done.?
I will give you a link when I've finished it. I've nearly finished tagging the post, the step before submitting it to the internet.
Pluggety plug plug:
24 H Le Mans Test 2011
http://lcmb.blogbaker.com/2011/04/24h-le-mans-test-2011
Audi over Pugs. Yay. :)
I've also just noticed that the link's not been shortened to 17 characters as it usually is on my blog provider (I know it's been shortened on Sidepodcast, but the fact my blog hasn't saved it the trouble pleases me :) )
Have finally finished the mini-makeover with my blog, phew. Decided to keep the background though just because I like the simplicity :)
I love Banksy. http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/photos-in-need-of-comment/photo-of-a-man-only-doing-his.html
Looks great, Lukeh!
Same here, always fascinated by the stuff I see from him. have you seen 'his' film Exit Through the Gift Shop?
Yes, that was soo good! What a crazy guy in that one. I guess he had to be pretty remarkable to turn that film around onto the original director.
I am absolutely convinced it's all a work though, banksy's biggest creation yet. Just everything about it makes me think so but it's such a unique and fascinating film to watch just for the shift as you say
Oh, I can see that, that it could be his biggest work. *wheels turning* hmmm....... Very clever, my dear Lukeh.
I blame the fact I watched it around the same time as the BBC's Sherlock Holmes drama :)
Like a big What is Art? kind of piece? Now do you think the guy was a willing accomplice? But he's so authentic, and I saw an awards speech given by him and he really is that way, I thought.
You're not the only one who thinks that
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/06/movies/awardsseason/06bagger.html
hehe
It's kind of fascinating to think if it is the case but I choose not to find out to be honest. sometimes it's nice to have that mystery and not spoil things, plus it makes for a fun discussion :)
oh yes. That article doesn't answer anything, by the way, it just says that no one is sure, and Mr. Brainwash could not be reached for comment (surprise). I do like the little twinkle in the eye about it all, though. And I loved seeing Banksy's work and Shepard Fairey.
I think that's why Banksy is so intruiging to me, that whole layer of mystery to his work and his whole set up as well as the quite simple yet meaningful creations he can suddenly put up on some random wall or whatever.
24 hours from nowyou will be very greatful you did see the BBC's Sherlock Holmes drama. I promiee you, Lukeh.
That is what really gets me about it, too, and the nod and a wink about it all. And it would be perfect if the whole thing is a social commentary about how we decide what is valuable based on our projections and some kind of group think, and someone like Mr. Brainwash/Thierry makes millions! That is hilarious.
Today it was Le Mans Test Day, no? Here it is my little Peugeot 908. It's quite damaged, but it runs fast! http://twitpic.com/4p07me
That's a cool looking scalextric you have there :)
cooooool! who's driving?
Yes, Alia posted earlier about it.
ooh. I like all the fine landscaping and attention to detail around the circuit! Nice!
A gravel trap, woohoo! :)
It's under construction, hehe. I don't have much space, it's a quite small track compared to others.
It looks awesome.
Well, I posted about the test. I didn't mention MartiV8's model, which looks cute :)
hehe
Apples and peanut butter make me very happy.
#simplepleasures
I've never seen that combination before :)
ooh yum.
I have it all the time. It's delicious. Cut up the apple and scoop to your heart's content. I've had it since I was a kid. nom nom.
I love it!
Really do like that little building in the background...
Hi people.
Yo RG
Ooh, you are still alive even after visiting That London!
I got through, relevantly, in tact.
hello!
Hi RG.
I bought the Pit-Lane buildings in Carrera's store. Here you have another view of them: http://i56.tinypic.com/s62n7s.jpg
ooh, fun! Those corners must be tricky.
Hi all
Hi Steven
Hello.
Allan McNish is good (but that's not really a newsflash - he happened to be in the quickest car at Le Mans today ;) )
Oooh, start reminds me of my old track. I like it, few nice turns in there.
Hey Steven
Awesome!
I know he is good. I may have mentioned it before:)
I also know he was quickest at Le Mans because I read your wonderful post and even left a comment. And so should everyone else.

Computer racing games are great but there is something special about Scalextric. I haven't played in years
We got a new set over Christmas and it was so much fun. It really is so special :)
I remember my brother asking for one for Xmas when he was 16. My mother was so embarrassed about buying it. It didn't help when the woman in the shop asked how old her little boy was.
Have you seen these recent posts on sidepodcast.com?
- Button at The Mountain
- Daily: 24th April 2011
- Live: Doctor Who - The Impossible Astronaut
- Daily: 23rd April 2011
- Happy Anniversary to the new and improved Daily posts
:)
Me either. My sister and I had a set. So much better than matchbox cars and those orange tracks.
hehe
Cool that she got it, though.
Yes I have seen all those posts but have you seen some of the incredible stuff in them?
Take Lou's daily for example. How cool are these ads? http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/smart-toy-store-ads
What an awesome way to sell stuff.
And what about one plain one fancy? We could so do a motorsport or sidepodcast version of that. That deserves to be a huge meme.
http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/one-plain-one-fancy
#sidepodspace
One plain - good old fashio rocket stack
One fancy - space shuttle
See!. Easy! Everyone should do some
My brother used to have a set of Scalextric. Trouble is it needs floor space and my house never had any!
I never had one of those orange tracks. Scalextric takes real skill and you can't argue that you would have set the lap record rather than landed in a tree if the coders had a clue about physics.
My brother is a he.
No, I mean your mom went ahead and got it for him, silly! hehe
That is always the problem. You can only put a bed on its side for so long before mothers object
I see.
Those are great!!
Given his bed was built into the wall Mum would probably have objected if he'd put it on its side in the first place...
I love those ads. Anything thatmakes people think is grea by me
I always used to hate when one of us broke off one of the little tabs, and you'd have to set the track just right so it wouldn't lose connection.
That could be a problem
The tabs that locked the pieces together, I mean.
That is one of the advantages of being an adult with a set. I suppose. Then you can just solder a wire across or find other ways to maintain conductivity
Yeah, besides yelling "don't MOVE it!" when your sister bumps into it again. :)
:D
Here is a gorgeous Scalextric track. It's not mine, but I'd like to hehe: http://www.circuitdelebre.com/circuit.htm (scroll down the page to see the photos).
There is not enough space in my house to build a permanent SCX track, so we did it in our country house.
It has lights and everything!
So much attention to detail. Awesome.
Wow...
All this talk of scalextric has reminded me of that brilliant track that was posted earlier this year
http://wlf1ring.blogspot.com/
I was trying to find one that I saw on youtube that was incredible too but I can't find it.
Hello everyone. My Daily is now ready. I am sorry for its length, but it does what I want it to do perfectly....
Just remember to look everywhere
Noted and thank you :)
No-one should ever apologise for the length of a post.

By definition, you should now be looking at your notes...
Hey everyone, back from Berlin. Happy Easter to you all!
Hi Gavin
Happy Easter!
Did you have a Berliner?
I had some for breakfast!
Hi Gavin.
How was Berlin?
:D
Ah, das ist gut! glücklich easter!
Hey hey!
It was awesome.
Went up the TV Tower, saw the Holocaust Memorial, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, the Reichstag, Gedenkniskirke, KaDeWe Department Store, Potsdamers Platz, took a river cruise, ate a scheinwerhacksel, went to the Currywurst Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, a Mercedes boutique and saw a Bugatti Veyron in a showroom!
Sounds like a great trip. :)
Yeah we had so much fun - Berlin is a really nice city with some great architecture too!
There is a curryworst... Museum?
Is that all? :D
You go to berlin to eat people ?! ?1 ?1 :^P
Natives of Hamburg, ya, I can see that, Thgere's a lot of meat on them, but Berliners are so airly and flakly that you need to eat tons of them to fill your stomach....
Yes! They had such sections as "Currywurst in architecture", "Currywurst in different languages" and "what kind of curry sauce are you?"
Yeah we only had 2½ days ;)
I do not understand! i shall have to drink with the germans to understand i think!
Well, I sent off my Daily for tomorrow. Hope it does not kill the Sidepodcast Server.
Good evening. Looks like Gavin had a great time. :)
ohh you saw the bugatti showroom too!! it was one of the first things i saw in Berlin (i fell asleep in the coach from the airport...) I looovvveed Berlin! :)
Hey all :)
PANDAS
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20110424/video/vwl-cuddly-pandas-take-refuge-in-newly-b-15af341.html
Happy birthday, Giggles
Ohhh!
Mini PING! - http://summerportrait.wordpress.com/2011/04/24/a-quick-update/
I love when that one guy is like "what's on my head?" at :40 or so.
I just love that they are creating artifical snow for pandas
Who said Pandas don't like motorsport?
http://www.frogview.com/uploadimages501/4a0290039a2231.94691346frogview-gallery.jpg
They seem to love it, too.
That buggy's got a Nascar or sportscar look to it, like he's been running in close proximity and mixing it up with other pandas.
Doesn't look like he can reach the pedals
I hope you had samples of currywurst.
So today I enjoyed a nice turkey dinner, with cherry trifle as dessert, and a follow-up of Kinder Surprise eggs. :) I had a giraffe.
Marvellous :)
Well, the car was orginially Wurz's drive, so.....
That'll be why it's making a face...
We are out and about again. Do frankie and bennies do cocktails? We need you to choose us another drink to try and get for free :)
I think so. Although every time I've been the service has been really... really... bad so we tended not to bother with drinks. I think Sidepoddrinks are definitely worth going for though ;)
ohh yeah they do. i had a lovely one there once.. no idea what it was called though :(
i went to my local one on friday and the service was fine for me.. must just be wales ;)
cocktail menu for everyone:
http://www.frankieandbennys.com/sites/default/files/menus/FB-Cocktail-menu-pdf.pdf
I've found them fine for drinks but unbelievably slow for food, even that time a group of four of us just went for an ice cream dessert on a hot day.. took them eons.
Wish we had a TGI or Frankie & Benny more local than an hour away, I'm most jealous of the cocktail action. :)
Wait a minute, Have you posted my daily up yet before the two of you get plasttered? Cause I do not want it looking Chinese after you had a few "Rusty Nails"...
That's Single Malt Scotch and Drumbie Straight up.
personally i'd go for a Pina Colada but that's just cause they're yummy :)
That Bugatti is really something!
Happy Birthday man!
Many. It's a staple of my diet ;)
Struggling to find F1 links to be honest. Long Beach Iced Tea (look for the option at the end of the Long Island)
did you go to postdam platz at night?
No, during the day.
Long Island Ice Tea
Woo Woo because it sounds like a train
Ask the Scotch to be Johnny Walker Black, do not they sponours McLaren ?
DO NOT have a Long Island Ice Tea because they are evil!
Mrs. Goat is partial to a Strawberry Daiquiri or an Elderflower Martini.
I prefer a Mohito, Caipirina or a Whisky Sour.
Good call
shhhh
Whyte & McKay for Force India
No man, you are already on the naughty step!
They are? They're on my 'must try' list through sheer curiousity.
The ones I've had were on the sweet side and went down easy...and that was the problem later on, but I never had any bad experiences with them.
Never tried them but reputedly they don't taste like alcohol and one second you are fine and then......
Exactly. They are really yummy and easy to drink but slowly over the next hour you get really smashed.
Rubbergoat: 24/04/2011 at 20:16:33
shhhh
No man, you are already on the naughty step!
Lou, get the Osprey warmed-up,we might have to break out Steven,.....again.
Time to have dinner. See you tomorrow :)
Bye
Hehe, this sounds like a plan. Plus, I'd like to hear Mr C ordering it :)
Excellent.
Bye Marti
See you later. :)
See ya Marti
Must say I rather fancy a Bloody Mary, but for the lack of vodka in the house..
You trust him to order drinks?
I had one on Friday Night. Mrs. Goat then spent most of Saturday telling me all the stuff I said and did - which I now recall!
As a #sameperson I've decided for him he should order it by going Woo Wooooooo like a train. it's the right way and he knows it. :)
Bloody Caesar, then ?
What is that Dark Orange drink with the crushed ice at the top called again. That stuff is evil as it tastes like and Orange pop/soda drink and goes down as smooth as Chocolate milk ?
Tango?
#noidea
Had to look that up, looks interesting, must try that if I make it to Canada. :)
Hah :)
Hmmm, That Dark Orange drink may have been an "Agent Orange 1". with crushed ice... The ingredants look evil enough.
Starting to be certain that that Dark Orange Drink was actually an Absolut Trouble. If that was, I am even gladder that my Spidy Sences where in overdrive after the first slip. If straigth Coco-Cola goes down rougher than Vodka, youjust know you are entering a world of hurt with a timer fuse.
A guy at a local social club is very good at mixing shots, Dad and I and a few others were there one night. We got quite drunk. :) There was one called strawberries and cream which tastest just like strawberries and cream. No idea what was in it but I saw him pour the alcohol, no strawberry or cream went in it.
I think you two should have some Depth Charges by droping a shot of whiskey into a glass of beer.....
I am reading the comments and I see talk of The Event. It got much better after the midseason break! Worth sticking it out. I think we've got 4 or 5 eps left to go.
There's one somewhat inappropriately called an Irish Car Bomb which is Bailey's and Jameson's mixed in a shot glass and the shot glass dropped in a pint of Guinness.
There is a cinema round here too, but I just want popcorn from it rather than to see a film. Mr C says it is okay to buy popcorn and walk straight out again but I don't believe him.
It is okay, but he should do it and you wait outside.
#sorrymrc
You should go and see Source Code.
....and get popcorn, of course. :)
Helloooooooo :)
Is anyone any good at writing rotas? I can't make mine add up :(
we bought ice cream from the cinema and then walked out.. so i support mr c
It's a proven strategy.
Isn't it mental buying stuff from the cinema though? It's like, a squidillion pounds for a pack of pastilles
Go ahead. That's why the price of the popcorn is more than the movie itiket nowadays....
And have a couple of Harvey Wallbanger cocktails as well !
Yea, but only cinema popcorn tastes like cinema popcorn.
Very true
Hehehe they don't even pop it in the cinema.... :D
we wanted some ben and jerrys ice cream in a cornet and we were no where near a supermarket.. it just made sense. But yes personally i'd get popcorn from the supermarket, but not sure they're open on easter sunday at 9pm.
They pop it better than the stuff I tried at home.
Mr C is now looking for excuses to come back to f&b, he says you guys could meet before your manics gig at the one in cardiff.
Does it still taste like cinema popcorn once it is outside the cinema?
That is a great question.
or do you have to stand in some sticky soda on the ground?
He just ordered the woo woo! Hehehehehe.
there is only one way to find out. Christine must buy some!
I know of the one there, it's right by the gig.
Ooh good plan. But if cocktails are involved I'm gonna need a hotel. :)
Woo wooooooooo!
:D
Mr C will be driving. I think now he is just keen on the cheesecake :)
I have drawn a map for Mr C
http://twitpic.com/4p2pa7
Evening folks
heya! good day at the track?
That's perfect!
That explains it. Google need you :)
Nowt on today. I just wandered around Chester for a bit and then typed a lot. Track action starts again first thing
The train track goes over the road before Cardiff gets accused of public transport mayhem in that very detailed map :)
Ohh I may be thinking of TGI Fridays actually...
ohhh that's cool. a day off sounds good :)
Well, if it i all right with everyone, I am going to do some other stuff as no one is reporting about any drunkeness but I will be back in three hours time to see my daily.
There's definitely a TGI Friday's in cardiff Bay anyways and that's a 10 minute walk from the city centre
Bye Jordan
:)
Hi Leigh, how's Oulton?
Also necessary - the last two-and-a-half weeks have been unsane
See ya Jordan
Yesterday was grand. Am meeting Mav in the morning and we're heading up together.
Bye Jordan
Nice one
Ooohh... Doctor Who good news
http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2011/04/dwn240411093312-impossible-astronaut.html
MW has good taste in easter eggs
http://twitpic.com/4p2846
Lovely egg idea :)

Genius, especially if you're familiar with the Aberdeen accent
First heard this about 6 years ago when I was working in Scotland, someone just reminded me of it :)
Nice one!
Ping: http://sidepodcast.posterous.com/mr-c-tries-a-woo-woo
I had to try this one when I saw the name, So close. http://sidepodcast.posterous.com/frankies-delight
Yay!
Is he woo wooing or boo hooing at it? This is the big verdict!
Living it up...
This made me laugh! http://www.savagechickens.com/2011/04/the-encounter.html
Leigh, any chance you could see if this is true tomorrow? :)
@The_Lap_Times:
Allan Simonsen appears to have gone from Oulton Park, to Le Mans, then back to Oulton in three days - the man IS GT racing...
Ping: http://sidepodcast.posterous.com/a-world-in-black-and-white
:D Well, he was second in qualifying for British GT yesterday, so he'd better show up tomorrow or else who'll rein in Richard Westbrook?
bought popcorn, walked out out of cinema. i win :)
(mr c)
yay! :)
does it taste the same?
woo woo :)
wohoo!
haha
apparently so :)
Who knew???
I refuse to believe it
I'm trying to choose new business cards for my life coaching.
Here are some designs I've bookmarked. Which ones do you like, that will make you think stress management and support?
https://secure.vistaprint.com/premium-business-cards/gallery.aspx?pg=1&col_state=COL&num_req_imgs=0&filter=9:10013||1,3:10001||1,4:10003||1&page=1&pagesize=24&sort=p_TO!desc&xnav=filter
This link better work...
It goes to the home page after some thought. I don't think that site likes direct links :(
boo. oh well.
Thanks anyway.
I like the beach scence card. It is so peaceful and relaxing on its own that I am thing about cancelling that Stress Management session I had planned.... {looks around}
Errr, Kai, maybe you are going about this business card thinggy the wrong way ? :)
Good point, maybe the branding should totally freak people out so they seek help? ;)
From other people?
Maybe Kai should charge people for seeing her business card if it's so relaxing...
Ideally it would be from me, but...
Anyway.
My quiet end of this vacation is here.
hehe
Renting out business cards is an interesting business option
And low overhead
Not if your cards freak them out
Very
I like Alinora's business model....... Kai's expenses would be miniumal and the sheer volume from business cards sales would make Kai the next billionaire (British version - that's a million million, not an American thousand million ) soon enough.
Then of course there would be the extra income from training your helpers to present the card in the most relaxing manner (of course the card would still bear your details not theirs) and giving them relaxing refreshers every so often...
Soon you guys will need a consulting fee, here. :)
I'm sure an occasional modest donation to Sidepodcast's expenses will suffice :)
What do you mean soon? We are way past that stage
good call. Donation reminders are always a good idea.
hehe
Just as logn as get my fees for the avertising space on Sidepodcastland's official (online) Newspaper, Panda Propoganda.....
another early night. until to tomorrow lovely people...
Goodnight!
Night
Night Mr C
Good night
cough! Cough! Daily! Cough! Cough!
Posts don't need to be put up at the right time. They can be scheduled ahead of time
Well, like my American PIlot cousins, I tend to get annoyed when the people running the radar tower fall asleep before it has been posted that I have landed the daily plane !
