Hello folks, it looks like it is my turn to write a daily once again. Thanks to all those who have gone before me this week, it's been a good run of links and lists recently. This weekend we're looking forward to all the action from Monaco but until then, here are a few things we're talking about:
- In a slightly non-F1 related post, the great folks at Axis of Oversteer have been working on their tilt-shifting skills and produced a fabulous slideshow of photos from the Porsche Supercup. Needless to say Mr C is very jealous, and I'm worried that tilt-shifting is going to be his new obsession after typefaces. Stay tuned!
- Whilst we're off the F1 topic, I posted a quick entry on I Heart Franck yesterday regarding teh upcoming Superleague Formula race this weekend. After waiting more than a month for the second event, we've now got back to back racing, starting in Assen. I still have no idea how it works, but I've posted a few words anyway.
- And since I am self promoting, it would be wrong not to plug the ninth part of the second series of Life in the Fast Lane. This is the last time you can vote this series, so if you haven't already, make sure you head on over and have your say in how Melissa decides her future career. It's all in your hands! If I still haven't convinced you, there's also a bit of Damon Hill. What's not to like?
That should do it for now. Let us know what you're up to this weekend and how you are watching the race - whether it is from under a duvet on the sofa, to a swimming pool in Monaco, we want to know! I'll see you in the comments.
Hi Saturday.
You may like Peter Serafinowicz's latest tweet, a link to an article he wrote..
I forgot the link

has anyone seen the video he directed for hot chip? it's unusual. i like it though
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaCZN2N6Q_I
Crazy, hardly features the band at all :)
I'm at work so I can't stay long. I just wanted to mention the Australian iPad meet:
http://www.mactalk.com.au/2010/05/14/national-ipad-mactalk-meet-29th-may-1pm/
noooo I have got an email with dates I can apply for a MTC tour and some of them are when I am in Europe but they are the same weekends as Spa and Monza so I can't be near Woking. Why McLaren, whyyyyyyyy.
also, CATHERINE. And Mrs Timo. <3
http://tweetphoto.com/22385991
That is rather crazy
So i've been looking through pics of the fashion show...
based on this pic maybe it's a good idea i can't find any of Jenson
http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/99442542/Getty-Images-Entertainment
she's probably seen it.. but a pic for Amy
http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/99313795/Getty-Images-Entertainment

I miss 2008 when he sat with Kimi and there were many pictures of them together. Finns <3
Hmmm, Glocky looks the smartest I think.

i see Heikki.. but no Catherine?
he was watching, she was walking :D
last one till after quali...
Why on earth did they not get Jessy involved?... she's a model...
http://www.sutton-images.com/preview.asp?filename=d10mon804.jpg
IIRC, she was involved last year. perhaps she declined this year?
now to switch my attention to the tennis because Rafa is losing and I am so torn, because I don't know if I want him to win or not.
i found out Andy is out again :( bad times.
Andy has had a terrible clay season, I almost feel bad for him.
If Rafa wins tonight and then Roger wins, Roger has to face him in the final which I don't think he'd win and I would be sad.
But if Rafa wins tonight and makes it to the final he moves up to #2 in the rankings which would mean he would be #2 seed at the French Open. I would like this because with him seeded 3 there is a 50/50 chance of him being in Roger's half of the draw which I don't like. So I think I want him to win.

Would it worked if we hoped for Rafa to win and then Roger to win the final or have I got muddled up/divorced from reality?
Can't remember if I've told you or not, but I got some results this week and I've passed medical word processing and audio typing.
that would work, and it could happen because it happened last year! I'm just pessimistic when it comes to Roger v Rafa matches :D
well done!
well done! {Comment #28}
Thank you, Amy :)

OMG. I rush here and find #tennistalk instead of F1.
Anyway, how was quali? I had to miss it due to family business. :(
Hi Marilene
Qualy was....Crowded...
But not as crowded as it might have been due to Alfonso getting over familiar with the barriers in FP3.....
I heard that. Sad for him, but all the better for Felipe, I hope?
Well he wasn't stellar but ended up 4th so not too bad....
The Macca, that was expected to be good, didn't appear to be at the races today and ended up 5th and 8th...
Rosberg beat Mr Burns but was unhappy as he felt he could have done better following a great Q2 time...
Ping: http://sidepodcast.com/2010/05/15/everybody-loves-monte-carlo/
#absolutelydefinitelynothere
Franck qualified second t Assen. I think. Quali system is weird.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/83627
Well beating "Mr Burns" is the norm for him now (except when the team tries to screw him over). He needs new challenges.
Am I the only one who is loving the Red Bull poles? Seeing as how they don't seem to be particularly reliable, the race winner is bound to be less predictable.
Wooooooo!
Hello all, sorry I haven't been about, should really come more often...
hey sir, how are ya?
I'm not too bad. I think I have exams looming though, not entirely sure, can't remember when they are!
best way to be :)
Absolutely, ignorance truly is bliss!
how come you're indoors on a nice day like today?
I have no idea. I suppose the argument is there that I should in fact be revising...
oops :)
Well, as far as I can remember, my first exam is Chemistry, and that's pretty easy anyway. It's all the Maths that I need to panic over!
ahh, panicking won't help.
...
...
...revision might, but panicking won't :)
Same as me. I remembered memorizing equations up till 3am before I realized I needed to sleep too.
They'll come hand in hand, I think! Panic first, then revise to try and stop it!
Red Bull F1 Spy: What's the word when you come out of the Paddock and the crowd just look dispondent when they realise you ain't famous? Deflated?

Hehehehe.
Aw... I would ask for his autograph if it will make him happier. :)
Fantastic programme on BBC 2 at the moment on Usain Bolt...
His parents took him to the doctors when he was small(ish) because they thought something was wrong because he was so hyper-active....
His parents are delightful...
Amazing enthusiasm for athletics in Jamaica....
hi everyone
what goes on?
He, his family and the wonderful people of Jamaica are the reasons I watch athletics.
I've had a disaster :( :( :(
Shiny shiny has stopped working :( I send it back for new one. I hate the no phone action though :(
I hate it when that happens, boo :(
Hey all
Hello Bassano. :)
hey bassano,
is it just me or did anyone else notice how sparse some of the stands were at monaco today? parts of it were shockingly empty
I just downloaded an app called HelTweetica and had to come here and tell Mr C :D
If Virgin Media/BBC decided to add it to the iPlayer, I'll let you know
Oh dear. I feel like I've been penalised for doing my pole poll too early!! Watching qualy now, it already seems that Alonso to win maybe is optimistic :P
how do you know there won't be a 23-car pile-up into st devote?
Edited. Thankfully I had a Red Bull for the pole & win. Unfortunately, it is the wrong one.
:D
Shall I bring out my Chandhok to win banner?
Damn ash cloud is trying to ruin my Sunday
I had a pub lunch in Windsor organised after the race. If his wife can't go to Scotland, I fear it's in grave danger [the pub visit, not Scotland]
go for it
:D
Damn ash cloud is trying to ruin my life
Is it online?
yah
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00sfgtm/Formula_1_2010_The_Monaco_Grand_Prix_Qualifying/
The BBC newsgirl must be a Sidepodcast listener. She said Kubitzka, I think she [hearts] Mr C :)
I'm browsing in the living room, want it on the telly
Yes Virgin Media, I'm talking to you
Thanks though
Dubai planning?
Yah. I'm thinking of impulsive trip before I start new job. But errrrm.....
Yay for short notice flying
Boo for sulphurous cloudage
Do you think I could go from Newcastle and go back to Liverpool or does that make life stupidly expensive?
hello!
Actually, what's the point of that. I've just realised I'm going to want my car.... This is what early morning working does to my brain.
Hiiiiiiii :)
Hello Lou!
Most online bookings let you book it in two sectors, shouldn't make much difference
Let me know what price you get and I'll see what we're offering
Hi Lou
so how is everyone this evening?
not too bad - how's lou?
I wanted to leave on Monday 24th. Pretty flexible about return date, I'd probably be looking at the 13th June maybe. Newcastle is best for me. Best I can find at the moment is £380, disregarding KLM who seem to think a 7 hour trip should take 30 hours :P
i'm good thanks. went shopping in Bluewater. made mum fall in love with a macbook pro.. and found a dress i like.. i'll hopefully get it later in the week :D yaay
Bring a book - it'll fly by....
:D
It's really not worth it for £50!!
Bring the best book ever written.
I'd rather have nearly 3 days of my life back....
Nowhere near, we never seem competitive on that route
Plus, our internal routes look like they're cutting right back during the industrial action
One step closer
Do you run competitive routes anywhere? :P
I wonder, if I request my personal info under the data protection act from google, will they use to google to find it?
Good evening
Sometimes, mostly Europe I think :)
Hi Pat
Evening, Pat.
Hmmm... Ross isn't happy.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/83645
:D
Why is it that I only feel bad for Nico? :P
Apart from F1, they doing first practice runs at Indy today. Helio Castroneves on top of the sheets with an average lap of 226.603 MPH - already up on last years pole position....
On day one??
Yep
In hour 2 in fact
Blimey. They must be into rookie runs by now though right?
Live stream of the Nurburgring 24 Hours, on the Nordschliefe. Incredible. But mute it and listen to Radio Le Mans.
http://adac.24h-rennen.de/Streaming.4101.0.html?&L=1&cHash=f6a7d1bb2f
There's a yellow out for rain at the moment - not too heavy though
I LOVE endurance racing.
so much!
How was the Doc?
he was epic
oo i totally forgot about that! *goes to iplayer*
Hehehe
Thanks for looking. I want to book now.... I need to wait to talk to work woman on Monday :( :( :(
oh for goodness sake! i just realised Paul Henri-Cahier... was at the same photographic talk as Darren Heath in Singapore... they had an entire evening of loads of photographers giving talks. why wasn't i there...
You need a time machine. When you get one, can I borrow it yesterday ;)
Hello. Have not had a good day and now Dr Who has stopped on the iPlayer a 3rd of the way into the episode *strops :(
why don't canon do these types of events in London :( bad times.
hehe Lukeh apparently has a time machine...
Hi Lukeh
Hit play again and go to the place where you left off
I have
for 15 minutes. Hard refresh. Restarted laptop. Tried on brothers computer. Meh :(
by the way folks - because the indycar practice is currently halted, they're showing highlights of old indy500's on indycar.com
An interesting watch - currently showing 1954
Okay that's a lot of Doctor Who love....
Thank god for virgin digital's iplayer access, that seems to be working. *disappears again to watch*
btw Lou, did you see this Monaco shot at The Guardian?
http://gu.com/p/2h2c3/iw
...and i love the 1954 indy500 is in colour!!
:D
I think the player of i is suffering from popularity
Wow. Looks pretty.
But what's up with the empty seats?
oh dear :(
That was from Thursday I think
The Eyewitness pics are great and they have an excellent app too
there was a mass of empty seats today though
I noticed that too.
woah! *cries cause she isn't there*.... monaco is one of the GPs where i get this feeling like i'm missing being in the paddock, even though i haven't been in the paddock..
Wow, Heikki's Dad races too!
http://twitter.com/H_Kovalainen/status/14053716788
Classic comment from a commentator at the rookie test at Indy...
Not only does he race, but he races against Kimi's dad.
F1: the Previous Generation
We NEED to get you in at Spa, maybe we should get Joe to make you his official photographer for the weekend
And they race in the Legends series, which makes me very jealous!
I'd like to go to that aftershow party!
hahaha! doesn't Joe spend alot of his time watching the GP from the media centre?
I don't think he's interested in photos of himself though :P
Post-golf pint of John Smith's Original went down very well.
hehe
i think i might end up passing out in Spa from all the excitement.. i was hyper enough when i went to Valencia, and that was the day after the grand prix!
Woot! I am just done with my speed dial: http://twitpic.com/1o2yjn
Shhhhhh!
hehehe just help me find the awesome photogs and make me talk to them.. :D tis my aim of Spa.. not sure what i would say, but i need to talk to them :)
Puts "anti-hyperventilation paper bag" on the list
Have already started amassing ear plugs for all
ooo what a good idea.. i'm rubbish at remembering important things like that :(
oohh grrrr bbc iplayer.. grrrrr...
i can't find a non HD version of dr who.. which means i am subjected to watching alot of buffering. :(
I even use my "notes" app for groceries
It frees up more organic RAM :)
Scroll to the very bottom of the page, is there a link that says "watch lower quality version"
no :(
Boooooo!! Stupid BBC
Nick seems alarmingly lost.... :S
Fuelled by Fosters?
Last seen playing minigolf :P Christ knows what he's up to.....
Is this the HD version?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00sfgtp
Hello, not dead.
Twitter is scary and funny in equal measure. Here's me
"Just got in. Love that in the FIrefox address bar when I type in "radio" it comes up Radio Le Mans above RadioTimes.com or bbc.co.uk/radio"
and here's a reply from @RadioTimes..
"@toomuchracing Boo - we don't love that!"
There is a tweet about Mr Webbers contract negotiations starting....
Hmmm....
i see Lukeh is having the same problem
'@lukehmuse BBC EPIC EPIC fail for HD only version of dr who on iplayer. Some if us don't have great broadband you morons. Ugh.'
i think so.. my internet is having trouble streaming it :(
Oh, okay. It had the different ident at the beginning so I thought maybe it wasn't.
yay!
hello!! :) other than not dead (which is great news) how are you?
Yay, hi Kathi
Hi Kathi
I think Nick's been complaining to the BBC as well as on Twitter
BBC's Click are talking about Flickr being banned from Dubai
Mr C, did you see the new Twitter app I found?
HelTweetica :)
nooooo?!
Tbh it's worth it for the epic coffee lady picture... COOL DOWN!
the wind changed, so now the ash cloud is over the hotel I work. -> lots of work.
I even hadn't had time to change my FR team, although looking at the quali results that was a good thing. What happened to Alonso?
Crashed in FP3, severely damaged his chassis. Didn't go out at all.
Alonso hit the barriers and damaged the car in FP3.. which meant too much work to do in the few hours before Quali.. :(
He's fine though and planning to start from the pits tomorrow.
It made me smile and I thought of your type fascination
WTF? Trousers with built in fans!
Only in Dubai
What are you looking at now? It sounds painful....
Still BBC News' Click
There are inn Dubai
i shall look
He he
@Queen_UK: One can't help but feel sorry for these two from Newcastle. They're on BGT every year and never seem to get put through.
I think it's iPad only but you can still but it in your library, it's free
following on from today's mclaren webcam experiment, i've been working on making their track map bigger:
http://sidepodcast.com/playground/mclarenmap.php
i kinda wish the race was now, cause i'd really like to play around with it.
omg! you're tracking JB :) <3's
at the moment, he just goes north through europe. but i can't finish it until they turn the thing back on tomorrow
this is very exciting. Mr C you're ace. :)
Nice
I think Mr C needs to go to a Coders Anonymous meeting soon :)
tis fun. if it works, we can put it into the lclt box and it'll all be there on one page.
i am addicted :)
Have you got Dev status yet?
i have no idea what that means? i missed qually due to coding, does that count?
App Developer
In spirit yes :)
I read that as cod-ers and wondered why you were having a secret meeting with Stuart
oh, two years ago maybe? i'm coding that at work though, so it's nice to do something else in the evening.
Yeah, gives you a break from LCD screens... Oh wait
:D
Hullo again, have finally watched Dr Who and have some pinging:
http://wibblywobbly.wordpress.com/2010/05/15/amys-choice-having-the-times-of-my-life/
So are you running 4.0 on your ipod Touch?
Is it me or is Webber looking more Desperate Dan than ever today?
Oh, by the way, I finally saw what jake humphrey was using instead of a clipboard when I got back home from work earlier. Jake is awesome :)
bbc have gone MFC with their scripts :)
until it rains or is especially sunny ;)
he said in a tweet it was acting like a mirror in places..
yeah i can imagine, would be a good long term review model
hehehehe

http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/4607934025/in/photostream/
Have you heard the podcast where he goes into the Casino with Holly? Made me smile
yeah :) These are pics from the podcast i think :)
I like Ant's comment: Holly is a loser
They always seem to be having fun
I bet Brundle can't wait to get away from the Headmaster when the show's over
if they need someone to follow them round and just felt tea... glasses of wine or something.. i'd like to volunteer for the job...
http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/4608536290/in/photostream/
working in f1 seems to be so much fun...
nope, just the normal installation. we have plenty of them at work and the code doesn't leave the office.
...lest i leave one in a pub.
he had an ipad?
yeah, he's using it for his script :) :D
ooh, that's too fab.
i bet it would be even more fab if the screen was matt...so he could always see the script :P
I think you are secretly Steve Jobs..
You didn't watch qualifying? The one qualifying session worth watching of the whole year?
:)
sorry, i was coding. i'm not planning on watching any quallys this year though. just the races until they bore me.
Matte screen protectors are available
4 lap races sound like an interesting concept
they should get one of those...
don't be mean about monaco you.... :P
That was last years Suzuka in a nutshell...
Could be worse, could be Bahrain. Which was a half a lap race. ;)
oooh generous
you can be mean about all of the races this year... but not monaco... no point in going to a boring race next year is there :P
You think you're invited? :P
I'm confused - I didn't even say I was on about monaco!
i think following the whole of tomorrows race could be a struggle, hence the plan to do awesome stuff with maps.
oh. never mind then :P
I don't expect a great race at all... but it is Monaco
i wasn't implying that i was... just saying, no being mean about monaco if he gets a free trip there :P
ive decided that for me that is the way to get through f1, you have to be doing other stuff at the same time thats enjoyable, then even if the race has been rubbish the whole time was enjoyable!
I mean, in hindsight I'd wished I'd turned the Spanish race off. Not looking forward to Turkey.
Anyway. lots of other stuff to follow.
true enough. mr. franck in action tomorrow.
and a 24 hour race going on at the moment, its....EPIC
Here's my Doctor Who babble: http://smarterthanyouraverage.com/2010/05/15/amys-choice/
ooh do we have start times?
Awwww dear. You are all very negative at the moment.
I have RE revision I could be doing in the highly likely chance of both Saubers and Timo Glock being out before, ooh, 8 laps.
The video feed at night is a bit rubbish though. Just a static shot.
apparently its going to kick back in soon
It's not our fault Spain was rubbish!
I stuck with Spain because I'm stubborn and I was hoping to see it get better, it didn't and it made me miss a good LMS race.
It wasn't that bad though was it? No-one moaned this much last year....
i think 10am, 1:30 and 2:30. and steven said franck was doing superkarts too?
You have only just noticed?
Rubens was doing all the moaning for us
the regulations have been changed to the detriment of the sport. what else are we to do when we can't influence the decision making process?
:)
I'm moaning about absolutly anything, I think I had to stop myself earlier from blaming Lotus for everything thats going wrong in the world
:D Blah blah blah
Is he?? I thought he said they were just the support race but I might have missed it
I said what?
Evening all. Nice to see the headping is still working
didn't we have a superkarts discussion the other night?
It was interesting for the storylines of how the teams have moved on, but storylines ain't racing.
i was convinced it as going to be rubbish before it started... because it was dry..
however i have a strange ability to watch even the most boring monaco race over and over and over again...
yeah but i didnt think Franck was racing them?
Meh. Racing shmacing
Yes but I didn't say Franck was racing one. I assume he has way more sense. After all this is someone who lost a fight with a football
i'll hold you to that comment, after jenson has been eyballing schumi's rear wing for 40 laps
Hey!
you put his name in the same goddamn sentence! what in the world was i supposed to think?
http://sidepodcast.com/2010/05/13/daily-13th-may-2010/#comment-776328
;)
Oh goodness, he qualified behind Schumi didn't he?
*prepares*
;)
Think of it this way, I have a tendancy to get my predictions wrong, so, considering I said it would be a dry race, its almost certain to be wet...
its something about Monaco though, the walls, the constant tension that someone might crash or something might happen (if never does, you'd think we'd learn).
it draws me in
Mr C wants to put him in a 150 mph krt
we need you to predict the following races as dry races, sir:
Turkey
Canada
Europe
Great Britain
Germany
Hungary
Belgium
Italy
Singapore
Japan
Korea
Brazil
thanx
With no seat belts that lap faster than most GT cars
I will try to make my sentences simpler and clearer in future
I see you lost all hope on Abu Dhabi being wet then...
i'm not watching that, even if it snows.
*shudders at the thought*.. i'll cry if that happens.. and then maybe figure out what i can chuck at Schumi in Spa for destroying 2 of my sundays :P
i watched last years about 6 times in all and it wasn't a great race... that might have had something to do with Jenson...
Valencia is he only race I haven't bothered to book off until I go back on Mon-Fri's
snow for abu dhabi please
If it rained there, it'd be red flagged :P
What the? beat me to it... somehow?!
Did you predict Indy rookie practice as dry? Takuma Sato hasn't got his mileage in yet. He and some others have to run at certain speeds for 10 laps to be allowed to practice properly.
i have an idea about a blog post... must get round to writing it..
mini me
this is actually getting scary now..
Maybe if I predict it to be a rubbish, dull, race, then...
Actually, nah, I'm sure I can't get that one wrong.
We will get the entire internet to focus its mental capacity on one of Schumacher's tyres. Jenson won't get stuck behind him.
Men Who Stare at Tyres?
Bassano agreed to go!!! There were witnesses....
Hi Steven
heeh!
I was going to suggest he'll beat him at turn one. But this is MS at turn one.
:D
to abu dhabi?
I will however, be not very sober. Me is smart :)
Yep. We are going to make a tyre explode
Mmmmm arest.... My favourite.
maybe nico will sabotage Schumi's car ....
Quite likely yes
Nick has a table reserved at that hotel
My only question is: what's the minimum spend?
Shame Kobayashi is so far down, he really can't cause a 20 car pile up from like 16th.
Yeah, he's got me well and truly off the hook :D
O wouldn't put it past him ;)
You're welcome :)
My main concern being sitting outside for hours in the middle eastern sun!!!!
it's a night race?
That's why we'll be inside the hotel, looking out
Good point :D
:D
Radio Le Mans are talking about the flywheel energy recovery system made by Williams. All of the Porsches at the Nordschleife are doing 8 laps between pit stops. The Porsche fitted with the Williams system is doing 10 laps.
In truth, I'm only going for the Beyonce gig
you can't get nice pics from inside the hotel...
ooooohhh dear.
ooooooooh, now that is a cool fact. cheers.
Have they moved the time? It was running over the sunset last year. I presume you have to be very early to secure your spot.
you can of the hotel
The new Diesel
Remember a lap of that track is 25 kilometres... the cost is an extra 60kg but it is working for them.
heheheheheheheh
hehehehe
hee!
very early?.. i think you are mistaking this race for one of the more popular races...
You get to witness that hotel first hand, I'd love to be there.
Sorry, forgot to tag
#sarcasm
Not really tbh. It looks really weird close up. Funny giant mesh stuff.
but.. the cars are on track.. not in the hotel..
ust hve more than 60bhp for 6 seconds every 14 miles
you're going to struggle to get sun burn in this, surely?
http://www.f1minute.com/2009/10/31/scuderia-amongst-the-shadows/
ah that's alright then...
Watch 1st lap, imagine the next 52 ;)
I guess so. I nearly got burnt at sunset on the beach when I was there though. The sun is so so powerful.
I miss F1M Big Pic :(
i agree Abu Dhabi is dull.. there is no arguing with that. however the only good thing Abu Dhabi is good for is pics
awww, but look at all the good stuff you get instead. there's...
...
...
ummmm
Plus, I get to witness Nick being bored by it
Priceless
ouch! :)
Not true
It's also good for backing up the argument against Hermann Tilke's track ;)
I want to show you my hotel pictures :( Sadly I can't.... Silly boy!!
Yours and Christine's happiness is enough
*tracks, even. All 1 of them created all obver the world in various ways
Erm yeeeeeah.... Keep on dreaming.
has nick got them? get him to upload them to Facebook or something..
true story.
Or I could just get us drunk

Surely someone has to drive? I'm sure staying that night is obscenely priced.
Public transport? Or is that just being silly?
Hahahahahaha I guess you could fly from AD back to Dubai....?
Apparently Rory in Dr Who was in the Harry Potter films as someone called Dobby
#notseenthefilms
#sorrylou
Yeah, possibly :)
i don't know who Rory is... i haven't seen this weeks ep :(
s'ok since our convo i have discovered there are many people like you.. :)
Oh yes, I can see that.
But you saw last wdeks and the first episode...
*weeks
my typing is atrocious tonight, apologies. Preview button ftw
Oooh yeah, sounds possible.
but the fact you don't know the awesomeness of the house elf which is Dobby is a crime :)
oooh is he erm.... her fiancée?...*
*useless with names...
I decided to googly 'Dobby Harry Potter'
What the hell.

Toby Jones

oh okay :D
That was NOT a genuine suggestion!! Maybe someone will put coaches on. It's not that far from Dubai, maybe an hour's drive...
dobby.is.awesome.
oh i got told it was Rory, it was the awesomeness that is the Dream Lord
Shall say no more for Lou's sake, although he was in last weeks preview anyways
I kinda figured
I'm sure we can work something out.
Rory's nose would work as Dobby too :)
Axis at the Swimming Pool, very cool

You know, the more I see him, I'm starting to agree that Ed Milliband does indeed look like a young Bernie Winters!
Where's Schnorbitz?
I'm just checking... I say things like that to Nick and he wants to do it!
F1 drivers really have it easy when they have traffic issues at Monaco!

Bernie had a brother too.
Just reading the Telegraph's article on today's qualifying. Typical Telegraph - the British drivers are in bold text :)
Spooky
evening folks,
because they believe their readers are idiots??
Oh dear. I'm very scared about new job....
Why? You're more than capable
oh?
So long as it doesn't involve extensive travel inside a small blue wooden box, I'm sure it won't be too bad :)
Yeah I'm just nervous about it all working out properly. The idea that I could end up unemployed has kinda struck me :P
You'll be fine. Nerves are natural
Err ...still thinking
Yeah.
This has made me more terrified as it's reminded me about my evac chair training last week. I'm not sure if any of you have encountered these but they're for evacuating disabled people down stairs in case of fire.
I think I'd rather face the flames than go down more stairs in one of those things!!
ergh! Angry Birds is toooo addictive!
I just thought it was too hard and gave up :P
i'm a bit too competitive to give up... :(
but so good :)
In!? Don't they usually have handles and are like those Roman chairs that slaves carried their masters in?
It really is
the noises the birds make are soo cute!
Angry Birds??
The audio makes the game, in my opinion.
And when you finish it, you want to get 3*'s everywhere and find all te Easter Eggs
It's like a cross between a pram and a deckchair. You half wheel, half slide it down the stairs. I had to sit in it to let someone practice, I'd forgotten how purely terrifying it was. It's like a rolercoaster but involving concrete steps...
It's the number one game for the iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad (HD version)
WOW! Alison! How can you moan at that? That looks SO much fun!
I think they're brilliant fun.
Simple game on Apple and Nokia app stores
oh OK - I have none of those things
Okay. You'll let me push you down?
Don't Panic
Any time. I love them :)
Totally, it looks epic fun
'scuse me
agreed. I'd not heard about it till the meetup.. and then when people were playing it, it seemed obvious i had to try it out.
Too late. I'm angst ridden. I might ask if I can do one night a week at old job down there. That would almost pay my rent I think.... Maybe that would make me feel better.
oh sorry..
#notcompetitive..
:)
I never told my co-worker how close I was to dropping them!
http://www.rovio.com/index.php?page=angry-birds
:D
You will be fine once you get started
Oh Lou, they put normal Dr Who on iplayer.
They are designed so that if you let go, the chair stops moving.
wohooo!!!!
Yeah we tested that!! They don't go out of control or anything but they do slowly accelerate!
Which is just as great if not better
thanks for telling me, i would have just not bothered otherwise.
Yes. I know that. But I can't get started.
Odd when you hear this stuff from a racing driver
