Surely it can’t be week 6 already!? Finally we’ve been treated to a competitive Thursday Night Football game, which the Indianapolis Colts came through to beat the Houston Texans. On to today, and we have an all-NFC slate ahead of us: Up first the Detroit Lions play in-division at the Minnesota Vikings (18:00 Sun – Sky Sports) – I’ve got no read on this one; it could be a high scoring spectacular, a defensive grind or a blow-out either way. Next up the Dallas Cowboys travel to the team with the Seattle Seahawks (21:25 Sun – Sky Sports). Last up on Sunday Night Football the strengthening New York Giants play their division rival Philadelphia Eagles (01:30 Mon – C4). Phily are currently sat jointly atop the NFL, but their offence is faltering in comparison to last year, so could well be ripe for the picking.
NFL Week 6

Who's here?
Evening
Confident with your fantasy lineup this week?
Mildly... but I'd rather have had Hilton in it ;)
When are you planning on running your FantasyF1 results? (I feel I've done well for once)
I'm doing them now. I just have to remove Alexander Rossi from them.
Coolcool :)
You won. Congrats.
Excellent, when I checked who I picked at about 2/3s distance I was shocked
I also don't have a Russian flag in place. Oh well, it can join Austria as a blank yellow background.
I noticed - don't think people will mind ;)
HaHa!! Jets take the lead over the Broncos
I saw Hilton scored nicely for you. I'll call it quits with me having Reggie Wayne, who underperformed.
Yeah, probs fair-ish. TY has not performed yet... until Thursday. Might have another WR to agonise between now
I only just saw today that Montee Ball is out for a month. Not sure what to do with him. Give him up and replace with another, but risk another team picking him up?
Gostkowski missed a FG. First attempt was good, but cancelled by a flase start.
*false
Pats luck
Baltimore are up by 21 already!
Which game is on Sky? None of the early games are blacked out, weirdly.
If you have space, stash him - I lost Ingram in a similar fashion.
Lions-Vikes
Ah, it is, I just didn't see it.
That's my thinking. I do have Jackson, Bradshaw, Murray and Gore, so I'm hardly short of decent backs. In fact, Ball is my lowest-performing back.
You do seem to have a strong backfield - but RBs do get injured, so you're got a sreasonable chance of losing 1 for the season (Bradshaw and Murray and maybe Gore can be injury prone)
Pats pick off Orton.
Prater misses a FG - the Lions may as well not have a kicker on the roster
Someone should ring up Jay Feely.
Running backs tend to be more consistent than receivers though.
I say Kickalicious http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDwbjHV8jLo
That's why they are so valuable :)
DPI in the endzone as Brady throws to Edelman.
We want Brady to GRONK
He was just thrown to the floor, well before the ball arrived.
Sorry, it was to Tim Wright :-)
Wrong TE Tommy!
Is he available in our league? Travis Kelce and Julius Thomas might not be enough for me.
I've not noticed him get picked up, but then I'm not as all-over-it as I was last season
He's not on a team, it seems.
Flacco with his 4th TD of the 1st quarter
Has nobody told him it's NOT January?
Flacco is the anti-Dalton
Gio Bernard just picking up 14.9 fantasy points on one play - no big
Haha Clinton Dix. How anyone can keep a straight face saying that is beyond me.
I love that his name is the punchline to a political joke
Flacco now has #5
Buccs fans already leaving their seats
I can't remember a more one-sided game where the score went up so quickly.
Crosby 43-yard FG is GOOD.
The Tampa QB casually ran out of bounds for a loss inatead of throwing the ball away. CRAZY.
Manning's throwing a lot of dangerous passes.
He's had a couple that could have been picked off.
Evening all.
Just tuned into the Lions-Vikings game
TD D Thomas.
TD Bills.
boooo ;)
Bills challenge a GRONK catch and fumble. GRONK definitely acted like it was a fumble.
Gronk leapt to cover the ball again, and did, so he wasn't taking a chance.
Tannehill picked again
Play overturned. I would disagree.
Baltimore only 38-0 up. Looking pretty rocky now.
TB just completed two passes and got a first down too. They're back in it!
Orton fumbles. Pats recover.
Vikings punting the ball away with 1:05 left in the half
Head to head clash in the Broncos-Jets game. Miller off with concussion
TD for Julius Thomas against the Jets
Lions leave Prater with a 51 yard field goal attempt
He made it.
10-0 at half time
Paid enough to
He already has a 64 yarder to his name
Ravens a minor 38-0 up against the Bucs
The record isn;t it (but then the atmosphere in Mile High did help)
Came back, looks like another fumble recovery for the Pats.
Looks like Spiller spilled it.
Gostkowski gets a 53-yard FG.
nailed it
Bernard took a hard hit in CIN.
Dalton intercepted. I think it was tipped.
Nope, not tipped, Just bad.
Bridgewater intercrpted
TD Dolphins.
Lions O line is suddenly full of holes. 0 for 8 on 3rd downs
To add insult to injury Prater hit the post and bounced out from the 34 yard line
Buccs have a FG
Td packers
You know how Gronk was finally fully healthy again last week? He's hurt.
I think his body wants to retire
People go on about his size being a great advantage, but when he hits the floor, it's a bigger hit.
Vikings offence is awful.
Bridgewater has no protection
5 sacks
9 hits
12 hurries
7 knock downs
How hurt?
Fins TD
He seems to be back in now.
Wallce TD. Dolphins lead.
*Wallace
Vikings score
Only 3 points with less than 5 minutes left in the game
@AroundTheNFL: Dolphins' three second-half possessions have resulted in TD drives of 80, 80 and 77 yards.
GRONK TD
...aaand it's coming back. Holding.
Obviously not that badly hurt then
Dangling the dream!
On Wallace's TD reception there was a flag too, but it was on the defence :-)
Shock off the hold and still caught the ball
Lafell TD for the Pats
Pats TD is eventually score by LaFell.
Vikings have 3:13 to go 60 yard, make an onside kick and score another TD to take the game ot overtime
Wrong week to bench Super CAM
Jets make it a one score game
Bridgewater constantly ducking arms that are flying around his head.
Vikes failed to make a first down.
Dalton at home, or Newton at the Bengals? I'd make the same choice every time. Over a handful of games, Dalton would win that one, I think.
Bills get a 2PC, but I'm not convinced the ball broke the plane.
I agree that it was the correct choice looking at the numbers...
All scores reviewed
CAR-CIN all tied up
What happens, happens. You can only mitigate the risk. Dalton's provided the numbers I was realistically hoping for in that position :-)
Yeah - I often end up over-thinking most of my choices.
Raiders TD within the first 12s of the game
77 yard pass
Brady's thrown for 300 now.
LaFell TD.
See, past it ;)
I still think he's past his best. He's still top 5 though.
Rodgers fakes the spike in Miami. Very cheeky pulling the Marino move there
Aaron Rodgers pulls out the fake spike play with seconds remaining...
Dolphins should have realised from the way he was talking to his own players.
TD Packers
Who?
The TE... I'd not got there
Andrew Quarless
Fins can return the KO...
Crosby will squib it. Even better, he could onside it and the Packers could hold off the tackle.
Hail Mary time
Rivers already back in the game
Panthers tie the game and take it to O/T
free football!
Russell Wilson with a very sloppy fumble. Took the snap and broke left then for no apparent reason dropped the ball
On that Dolphins hook and ladder play, Miller cost me a fumble
Seattle have to settle for 3 on the first drive
Romo took a big hit. Looked late. Should have been a penalty
Seattle block the punt and run it in for a TD
Seattle imposing themselves
Cam has 8:35 to make back the 3, or maybe get 7.
Raiders with too many men... trying to play 13 on defence
Based on the last time I saw them play that is still not enough
TD Cowboys
Commentator says Washington would not kick to Percy Harbin last week.
Dallas do and he returns it almost to half way. Looks like the Redskins were right
15 might do it.
Yeah, they kicked it to someone else instead, which meant Seattle started on about the 40. May as well have booted it out illegally for the difference it made.
CIN and CAR both with an FG in OT. 2 mins lefts until a TIE!
Dalts with a chance to take it the distance for the win...
Chargers TD
80 yards TD pass would be good.
Not a read option, 80 yard QB-keeper? 2 points more
Can't see him running 80 yards, can you?!
Nope, not at all, but it would net you more points. Maybe he could throw it to AJ...nope, or Marvin...erm,no, maybe Mo Sanu then
Bengals are gonna win...
Or not
MISSED IT! TIE!
I was actually going to mention, his stats aren't great. 75% 30-39, 50% 40-49. Maybe they should look elsewhere too...
Maybe he should look at another profession
punting?
Probably nothing that involves his foot coming into contact with a ball
Maxwell with an incredible break-up on Maxwell, but he's down injured.
Raiders get back to back 10 yard penalties
Cowboys convert 3rd and 14 against Seattle
Chargers & Raiders tied at 14 at HT. Time for me to disappear. Byee y'all
As a sidenote, I've managed a little bit of work on the comments section for my site. Just looking out for the future of NFL threads...
Night Will^
See ya Will
Cool. Let me know if you want to test anything etc.
Night
Seahawks-Coboys finish the half with a brawl. A very tame brawl
Seahawks down at the half? Brilliant. Should be a great second half.
5-1.....unbelievable.
