Today is the seventh day of the seventh month, and things are looking up in terms of Formula 1 news. Teams and drivers are starting to look forward to Germany, and in that case, so should we:
- Ross Brawn has admitted that finishing third and sixth at Silverstone was not really good enough for the team and they are hoping to bring some more updates to the car to take them back to their winning ways. I wonder at what point we stop saying - who would have thought finishing third wouldn't be good enough for them?
- Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso has admitted that the Nurburgring isn't the most exciting track on this year's calendar, but he says the circuit has a little bit of everything so it could be a good race. Also, it will be Piquet's first F1 race there as we were at Hockenheim in 2008, so what kind of chaos can he cause?
- Although the Red Bull team are Austrian, they are based not far from Silverstone so for Vettel, it is like going from one home turf to another. The German is looking forward to racing in front of the home crowd and says it gives him even more motivation to do well.
That'll do it for now. We're starting to see pictures uploaded from the weekend's excitement at Goodwood, so please feel free to post your links if you've got some to share with us. I'll see you in the comments.
Maybe Sebastian will get the feeling he wanted of giving a home crowd what it desired :)
Morning everyone. Anything much been happening?
Mostly Goodwood. Some purchasing of old F1 cars. Usual stuff.
Right.
Hello all
Hey joe, its all a bit quiet round here, a lot of people recovering from goodwood i expect!
Morning.
still doing behind the scenes things here too. so much quietness from us.
just having a beer looking at some F1 stuff on Youtube, the USF1 benefactor
:)
Adjusting bouncy ball pressure to ensure optimum boinginess for next weekends shows?
hehe. absolutely :)
by the way, the motorsports reporting outlets in the US are up in arms about what Bernie said. Marge Schott, the owner of the Cincinati Reds MLB team, a few years ago was quoted as saying, "At least Hitler made the trains run on time." MLB forced her to sell the team. what is the reaction to what Bernie said in Europe. By the way, I understand most people regard him as a senile rich [email protected]#d
Bernie has apologised for his Hitler remarks. Apparently Hitler wasn't really a dictator and Bernie's Jewish mates have decided he is more Jewish than them. This clown is unbelievable.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/76750
That was good timing.
I hope I don't offend anyone by saying (bernie) what a douche-bag!
ohhhh
myyy
god
I can almost believe that bit.
I think bernie is kind of expected to say silly things, to be honest as he is jewish himself, most people have been thinking it was a dig at max and his antics.
The mayor of the hockenheim region cancelled a meeting, it might all blow up at the German GP, but who knows, he will probably organise a firework display to cover himself before that.
He apologised... It probably helped that a lot of people were distracted by goodwood this weekend
"What I regret is people who have taken this the wrong way and have been offended"
how else could it have been taken?
I would love him to answer that question but you just know he would say something stupid like he wasn't suggesting Max invade Poland.
I think it was supposed to be: i am going to mention hitler, Max has a Nazi past... everyone mention that.
Unfortunately he didn't get the right journalist
Bernie Comedy is a genre of its own
Wasn't Max' father in the SS or some Nazi sect?
He ran the British Fascist Union, family friends with that German lot too
roger that. Right about Bernie being his genre. A short little guy spouting bizzare stuff
He was head of the British Union of Facists. His parents were married in a house belonging to the Nazi propaganda minister Josef Goebbels with Hitler in attendance. His aunt was Hitler's mistress at that start of the war and unbelievably according to the family history she was conceived in a town called Swastika in Canada.
You couldn't make it up.
I am not sure if i am alone in this, but most of the time he is on the tv , i really do find him funny
That's gotta be some great wedding pictures. "Here's grandma and grandpa cutting the cake, oh, that little guy with the mustache, he's a family friend"
When you pile it up like that, its pretty miraculous how well he has done for himself.
Max's mother and her sisters including that aunt were Winston Chaurchill's cousins so when her cousin declared war on her boyfriend she went into a park in Munich and shot herself in the head. Of course that was never going to be fatal for a member of that family and she was repatriated to England and spent the next 6 months in a rural cottage in Yorkshire that was eun as a maternity home. Some locals say she had Hitler's baby.
Very true
Any word on what happened to it?
Okay, this is too much like a Jerry Springer episode....Let's talk racing. How about Dale Coyne and his former Minardi driver
Max's dad http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oswald_Mosley
Max's aunt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unity_Mitford
It's existence has always ben denied but there was a TV program made about her last year and they interviewed some locals and some of them swore that there was a kid.
I was really surprised when I read that Justin Wilson had won. He has never looked like winning any of the races I have seen.
I suppose if there was a child, they would have to cover it up for the baby's saftey
His share price will most likely have just gone up
He did well in Belle Isle last year. He's an F1 guy in a spec series, I was happy to see him win. I just wish Marco had screwed up more
Is that scheme still going?
Share price? What are you talking about?
I'm not sure. If he was publicly listed, they must be unless he bought them all back (explaing his change in form) :-)
wasn't it for life?
http://www.jwic.co.uk/
looks to be alive and kicking.
By the way, Indycar says that will not have a new car before 2011, so we might stuck with the butt-ugly Dallara's for a while longer
There were some nice ones at goodwood, they could consider re using,
Was the march i saw there of Mosley connection?

Investors are entitled to 10% of his income until 2012
Yes
aha. cheers.
Milwauke, where they raced earlier this year owes NASCAR and Indycar millions and just laid-off its workforce
He was struggling for finance and sponsors so his manager Jonathan Palmer who owns the Brands Hatch group of circuits and runs F2 set him up as a company and sold shares with the sahreholders getting a percentage of future earnings.
Dr. Jonathan Palmer?
Yes. He is one of these really annoying people. Qualified doctor, F1 driver and successful businessman
I have only one skill and it isn't really all that good. Damn!
Morning, everyone!
Has this been mentioned here already?
Rally champion Ari Vatanen signals intent to challenge Max Mosley
by kathi about 3 weeks ago. not sure i/we believed it though.
go ari!
ARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed.
vatanen all the way! :D
:)
Never seen Steven Roy that excited before. :D
He hadn't made any comment since the last campaign where he said he didn't want the job. Imagine an FIA president who is universally popular.
I saw him drive in his pomp. If you were in a forest watching a rally you never knew who was coming next except when it was Ari. YOu could hear the cheers a mile away through the trees.
hehe
I thought that was an entourage refference untill i scrolled down!
Change is good!
Let's hope he's universally popular inside the FIA. ;)
He is universally popular everywhere. Bear in mind his co-driver was David Richards who has a lot of clout in the middle east and Bin Dulayem claims to have put enough votes behind Max to keep him in the job.
i know not of him but i assume he is finnish so i give him 2 thumbs up
We were talking about the Pikes Peak hillclimb a few days ago. Here is Ari giving it full bananas. Look at those drops.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5128933997167560481
He is Finnish. How did you guess?
This one is in the Isle of Man. The car is not one of the modern 4 wheel drive, electric gizmos cars. This is front engine, rear wheel drive as it is meant to be. Yes the road really is as narrow as it looks and yes he he really is going that fast.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIFUsqAbbrI
Awesome stuff, the 09 one is in about 2 weeks i believe, not sure if it is televised though?
Bedtime for me, Night all
Night.
Time I was in bed so a little bit more Ari before I go.
The first clip is a long version of the Isle of Man http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXV3sEH7PU0
The best selling rally video in Britain for years was The Vatanen Touch and someone has uploaded it. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=vatanen+touch&search_type=&aq=f
That's great news hopefully Ari can get elected and then the FIA will have a proper president.
A Vatanen presidency would also be good news for the struggling WRC.
I agree, there will be someone in charge who knows a thing or two about rally racing.
The band is just fantastic,
That is really what I think
Oh by the way, which one's Pink
drop.io gets in the news...
Vatanen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8)
All previous sentiments echoed
Rejoice, people! Fuji has dropped the Japanese GP completely! w00t for Suzuka! :D
now let's hope Honda will not mind to continue pouring money into the Suzuka race ...
I'm very happy for Suzuka, but Toyota spent an awful lot of money to restore an F1 circuit that only hosted 2 races... Then again, this is Toyota we're talking about.
Why would anyone want to be happy for Toyota? Especially after the way they treated our Franck.
(sorry R.G)
Honda wasn't around officially from 93-99, but it didn't stop Suzuka from hosting races in that time.
If Honda wasn't funding Suzuka, wouldn't they just pour more money into Motegi instead?
Because Japan needs more decent circuits and Fuji was OK - I mean, it's no Suzuka but it's still decent!
Last time there was a race there it rained a few drivers went off a turn one and Hamilton used a crane to get back on the track. There was also the Spyker leading the field until it was red flagged. Then Alonso passed Massa in the closing laps for the victory and the two of them had some heated words before the podium. So maybe the track a non exciting track can produce some great entertainment ;)
Ahh, I'd forgotten how epic that race was. LOVED IT.
:D
Kimi even missed the pit lane entrance because it was raining and had to do another lap on dry tyres in the rain.
Somehow I don't think this years race will be as exciting, unless it rains. forcast anyone? :D
A few sunny spells in practice while it appears that neither the Brawn or the Red Bull is fast enough, turning to dull and overcast during the race when one driver runs away with the race?
Don't forget 2005 and the ticking-Kimi-time bomb!
:D
The more I read about the 2007 race, the more I want to see that one again.
DON'T GET ME STARTED. DON'T EVEN. I'M NOT OVER IT.
these days the situation in car industry is perhaps a bit different from 93-99...
No need to shout!
That was a weird race because we all knew that Kimi had to change that tyre but nobody could see how they could legally do it... It was just a matter of time really :(
Clearly the Nurburgring has produced some entertaining races over the years, lets hope this one is just as good :)
Couple more facts about the 2007 race, Michael Schumacher presented the constructors cup to McLaren boss Ron Dennis. This race beat the record for number of pitstops in a race, there were 75 pitstops during the race.
Murray to remain Scottish for another 50 weeks
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and it killed that he almost....made.....it. If it had happened earlier, I'd be over it by now, 4 years later :)
Just thinking about the Fuji thing ... will there be even more rumours of Toyota pulling out of F1 now?
:D :D
http://andymurrayometer.com/ begs to differ with the fake news :D
Kemblewatch - 7 July
I'm sure I just heard an F1 car - there are a couple of unliveried trucks out there, I'll go and have a look later and let you know if its anything of interest..
Cheers.
Rob
that pullout saves them some money, so perhaps they can afford racing now :-)
Legend! Just found a can of unnamed energy drink that gives you flying appendages in my drawer!
Kemble - According to a colleague - Jenson Button is oustide now giving it some stick on the main runway...
Rob Sinfield
And yet Lou and Lukeh are not here... hmmm ;)
Awesome!! Thanks Rob!
Tad far for Lukeh me thinks, but Lou will be annoyed that she had to be at school
Morning all
Ooooooooh... awesome!
I can't speak for Lou obviously but I think we'll settle for how many times we saw him on Sunday. Good to know brawn are doing some straightline tests though...
spots of rain on the camera: http://kemblecam.co.uk/
they're wet weather/cool weather tyre testing?
jenson overload?
i think we need a go rubens! to redress the balance.
they need it ;)
You're Welcome ;)
hehe :)
I find it quite funny Chris realised it was us at Goodwood because he saw my rubens cap...
go rubens! (win me $100)
Yay!
that is the man for the job. awesome.
Are you gonna bet on him every race? I'm just wondering, if there's one race you decide not to bet on him, then he goes on and wins... not that I'm trying to jinx it!
this is why I have to keep on betting :D
So that he doesn't win?
He wasn't winning long before I started putting money on him ;)
:)
I'd quite like to write a blog post about Young Bernies remarks, but everytime i think about it, i just laugh.
How could anyone be so stupid
Awwww
To be fair before Turkey was when I was most confident he was gonna win so far this year. Then he went backwards. :(
He's gonna win at Interlagos and then there will be tears and I will be all 'aww Rubens' and love him more :D
Bernie on Max:
"Max's great skill is being a dictator without anyone realising. He's great at working people, isn't he. You should see him and Alan Donnelly together - it's like Keith Harris and Orville. Not many people would be prepared to put their hand up there, either."
Until you realise that the amount of money you've lost on him outweights the amount you've won
hehehehe.
His lap chart from Turkey is very interesting ... he really did fall apart in that race!
Where did you get that quote from? I think that one crosses the Rubython line... :)
I started with $40 in my betting account and I haven't yet topped it up. Current balance, $47.50 :)
Attagirl Amy!
Granted it is from Planet F1, but aparently it is an actual quote
Most of that is thanks to Federer though, not Rubens :D
no chance. have they quoted sources?
I wrote my own name on the bottom of my Racing boots; Toy story style :D
haha no, but i do love how they put this at the bottom..
"Incredibly, these two are verbatim quotes - the other quotes have not been verified and should be taken with a fair degree of scepticism."
which is basically saying; "LOOK!!! LOOK!!! WE'VE USED AN ACTUAL QUOTE!!!!! but just so you don't feel like things have changed, heres some made up ones too!!"
I do love PF1, i love to go and see the madeupness of the storys :D
It's made up. They used Bernie's two real quotes and took the p... with the other ones. If it's in the "Off on F1" Section it's just a joke...
hehe i know, makes me chuckle. this is "Bernies Top 10 dictators"
hehehehe
you probably shouldn't take one of those quotes out of context, without explaining that though. it's kinda important.
Well you sorta implied it wasn't earlier. Never mind!
well, it says it is right. but i do take it with a pinch of salt
Update - It's pretty dry here at Kemble - quite a lot of running today..
Rob Sinfield
I know it's not Thursday, but this one's for Christine:
Thanks Rob
Morning everybody!
Bernie has written a column about his comments
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/guest_contributors/article6652501.ece
loving the comments!
"How dare he suggest that doctors simply send their patients away with pills rather than giving them an accurate diagnosis."
:)
The article removes the foot from his mouth and puts the other one in there instead!
I dont think he thought that bit through!
Huh. There's a Brawn GP related iPhone game
Anyone tried it out?
Just getting some of my goodwood photos ready to upload, really love this one, but i have no idea how i took it
http://drop.io/sidepodcast/asset/rally-stage-jpg
Apparently the weather for Nurburgring this weekend is gonna be wet and cold. cue Ross Brawn's head slipping into his hands if true..
downloading it now. Will tell you when I try it out.
james Allen says According to bloggers in political circles, Bernie has been advised on media strategy over Hitler remarks by Peter Mandelson
Brilliant...
Yay!
Might it be a long-range forecast? It's only Tuesday...
Whose lawn is Newey going to wreck this week?
Hopefully ze Germans are accurate weather forecasters then. ;)
I cannot win the Mercedes. I will not be buying this.
http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/GMXX2527.html
The Weather Channel says it'll be cloudy for Friday and Saturday. Sunday's still too far out.
Go Lewis!
The glass is more than half full of coke today...
Kemble - Having spent all morning in a meeting being distracted by the sound of the Brawn, I managed to get outside to see just three runs before the heavens opened..
Back inside I think..!
Rob Sinfield
We have had some kind of Jet (probably F-16's) repeatedly flying overhead us today...
Mini review: not bad! not the best racing game in the world, but worth the £2.49 I paid. There is a media section, which contains photos and a news section, as well as two camera settings.
For Lukeh, the driver is Rubens. You can't change the driver either.
Well at least they got something right then. ;)
This is the best game in the history of games
lol
Just bought the Brawn game too. Better looking graphics than the official F1 game on the Wii if I'm honest. That just looks like a bad PS1/PS2 port. Am hoping the 2010 is 5 visual pints of awesome. It better be, Codies!
Ok, next set of goodwood photos:Sportscars, Stockcars, Rallycars
http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/sets/72157621088603750/
Looks like Max has set the elections up perfectly for himself.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/76759
You need public support from 22 cabinet nominees, are there that many people in the FIA Brave enough and senior enough to do so?
AUTOSPORT says:
I think they mean, "to ensure that Max stays in power." I think Vatanen can get 22 nominees - he just needs to approach the AAA-led anti-Max group in the FIA.
That could alienate the moderates in the pro-max group though, which so far has proved to be bigger...
But without a cabinet, he won't even get a chance to run. Ari will have to find some way to tempt the moderates...
Hello
I'm trying to cook at the moment.... It's not going well!
Watcha making?
A variety of salads for a bbq later.... Before you say salads don't need cooking, these ones really do!
I'm trying to work out how long to steam baby new potatoes for....
and you think we have too many twitter accounts:
http://twitter.com/towerbridge
Blimey. That's someone's job.....
Woo, finally put together my blog entry about goodwood, talking about how enjoyably it all seemed, plus just how much impact it has upon msyelf as a first timer to the event :)
it might be automated? otherwise, yes.
perfect timing. i have tea.
I presume it's the guy who's operating the bridge.... That's a pretty sucky job too!
As they say on the simpsons...
You don't make friends with salad :P
I don't even get to go.... I'm making food for someone else to take to a bbq.....
awesome, awesome, awesome.
when everyone has their pics and blogs up, we need a wiki page or something to collate them all too.
sounds like a plan :)
Boo hiss! My cooking sucks!
Oooerr, the old school i went to has someone with swine flu. Even more worringly, the school is a 3 minute walk away.
Oh, hi everybody.
Assistant has gone home now. :D
I can finally get some work done.
Also have the keys for the new office, so the remainder of the week will be preparing that for our occupation. I even have a budget!
Someone has anonymously sent me a ps3 game. They also sent me a birthday card which they haven't written in...
Should i be scared?
Do you have a PS3?
Howdy!!
How are ya?
If your assistant doesnt assist, what do they do?
Very paranoid. But just fine. Yourself?
yes... :D
Day setting them up on all the systems and giving them an overview.
New person. My first subordinate!
Ooooh,here's something, it's pretty cool! :D
Jenson Button getting asked questions by people from collegues and friends :D
*laughs at Niki lauda Q*
ah.. with great power comes great
responsibiltyrefreshment delivery servicesUgh, Eddie Jordan is in it. Booooo.
I don't trust anyone with my espresso machine..
I think that was the first chequred flag podcast from silverstone, very cool though
He's asking about motivation.....Niki Jordan?
Perhaps you should give the assistant the manual as 'homework'
Joe makes it sound like Ari Vatanen is worryingly close to Todt, and has a history of being involved in team orders :(
http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns21615.html
Jenson winning the stupidly obviously quote of the day...
"He's my dad, he's been there since i was born"
:D
Afternoon all!
ehehe i love that i open spc just as people talk about Jenson :D
I wouldn't make too much of it - it's from too long ago. Also, Todt didn't exactly leave Peugeot on good terms...
Oooooooooh Rubens asks a Q! Yay! :D
Afternoon everyone... Bit of a deluge here... I'm guessing the poor woman on the plinth is getting a bit wet.
ahh, I havent heard that. My bad... still very cool indeed :)
Still, a 'clean' candidate would be much better. From the sounds of it Bin Sulayem would be just as good as this guy.
In the FIA, is there such a thing as a clean candidate? I don't think so.
Are they still doing that? I thought it would last a day and then be like david blane with people throwing stuff at the poor person stuck up there for an hour
100 days :D
Well not dirty would be a good start...
I'm watching a post-race interview with Lewis....Lee calls him a past world champion hehehe
It's ideal, but it's next to impossible. Not even Barack Obama is totally clean.
True, but its not like he had a history of being friends with Kim Jung Il
This is politics we're talking about, Nick - racing politics, at that. ;) Align your expectations accordingly.
I can :)
I would just rather the great challenger to Mosley was someone i thought would be reliably independent
True, but given the quality of people in this sport, Vatanen is way up there on the scale.
Maybe, but think i would prefer Bin Suleyam
But isn't he even closer to Max than Vatanen is?
Im more worried about Todt...
But Bin Suleyam just used the max scenario to build himself a support base and get him to the top of the FIA far quicker than he would otherwise be able to do
Who in turn is connected to Max. Given that Vatanen is challenging Max, I don't think he'd be on the same side as Todt.
I guess, but had he not done that, it would've been a much closer deal if Max would've hung on or not.
Max would have gone.
But Bin suleyham didnt have the cv or profile to challenge then, who knows if he does now, but maybe in the future.
But the main fear i have about Todt is that his vision of motorsport is worse than max's.
Are you sure you're rid of max then??
Anyway, will go to bed now - but I won't sleep yet - am watching the Michael Jackson memorial.
Night, everyone.
Night Journeyer!
Night
Politics Back on! :D Whoop!
FIA say FOTA cant decide new rules on there own, need universal approval.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/76766
Since Manor appear to be Donnely's puppet, does that give max a veto?
Awesomeness collision!
Leno was at Mclaren this morning!
I've had more than enough for this season, thank you very much. :P
That makes sense - that would explain why FOTA invited the 3 new teams as well.
Possibly, but hopefully not.
Evening all
Team orders have always beem part of the sport. It is only in the last ten years that Max has made them sound like something immoral. Vatanen may have been close to Todt when they were in the same team but that doesn't mean he is politically close to him. It should also be remembered that running the Peugeot raly team was Todt's first real job after retiring as a co-driver so they competed against each other for several years so it is no great surprise that they knew each other well.
Why haven't Williams and FI been unsuspended yet anyways?
Vatanen is not an FIA insider.
I meant F1 politics in general. :)
I have nothing against tem orders, but when you use them like todt did to make a mockery of the sport, they do become immoral.
I dont think the FIA can risk a president that close to Todt
Really? Why?
Bin SUlayem has a strong power base in the middle east. He was always going to be an important wheel in the FIA
No
He is a nice guy ;)
Seriously i think he about as independent a candidate as we can hope for. He doesnt really have significant ties to any major stakeholder in motorsport, and mainly i cant see him being too active, letting everything run like it should.
They were always used like that until Max objected to McLaren applying them in Jerez 1997 and Melbourne 1998. Until that point any team could do what they wanted with their drivers.
He hasnt been active in the associations for all that long though, i think he was still competing untill 03'-04'
He is from an important family hough, which gives him a lot of influence in the region
I think he would be very active. He has built himself into a strong position be being very visible not by being the power behind anyone else.
So making a guy stop his car on the line for no apparent reason so his team mate can win with no championship at stake isnt mocking the sport?
Even when he was competing he was head of the local association and involved in regional FIA politics.
Like anything else there are two sides to any story. One is that the sport is entertainment and the fans are the most important part of it and therefore racing must be totally open. The other is that it is a sport and winning is the most important thing and therefore the person in charge of the team has the right to use the resources at their disposal in the way they see fit to get the best result they can.
If I was Jean Todt and I had gone to the Peugeot board and convinced them to design and build a car to win the Dakar and to build a team around it. I had then convinced them at great expense to hire two magnificent drivers and raised the sponsorship necessary to finance the operation. Why would I let the two drivers race each other when they are pushing so hard that one of them has already been on his roof? My aim from the start of the project would be to finish 1-2 so with that assured so long as no-one took too many risks why should I risk that result? Achieving that result would also create my reputation as a strong organiser and team manager and lay the foundations of the next 20 years of my career. Why would I care if th drivers had fun or the fans were entertained?
Thats a great phillosophy for a racer, but its not for someone who wants to run the FIA.
I cant see what someone like that would add, in fact it could well destroy it all.
Anyway, Joe has a blog about Ari now and starts off by saying he is a good guy ;)
http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2009/07/07/ari/
Evening!
That's the funniest thing ever! :-)
I saw him at Goodwood - he's very orange.
Wouldn't work - it's more about feel than reading the manual. I haven't read it yet. :D
Just ordered the screens for the new office. 1x1080p 42" LCD, 1x50" 1080P Plasma, 4x24" LCD's
LCD for monitoring
Plasma for - errrr... anything else. ;)
Little LCD's for the 2 new desktops
Now to order the desktops, desks, chairs, broadband, 2nd broadband line, SkyHD, alarm system, CCTV and arrange a service for the aircon. :D
& Sky HD? This is an office?
This is the sort of place i need to "work" ;)
The 42" will be used to monitor all the servers.
Each of the 2 desktops will have 2x24" screens and the 50" will be used for whatever we want.
SkyHD is only going to be used for the news... we get busy in times of crisis. Movie package won't be used at all. Honest....
Oooh, need to order some servers.... I need to duplicate the hardware here and setup a seamless switchover.
Ari is a great guy. You won;t find a bad word written about him anywhere ever. The closest you will find to something negative is people saying he was crazy when he drove just as they said about Colin McRae and Gilles Villeneuve.
GP2 has found a home. Martin Haven just tweeted it - British Eurosport will cover it until end 2011. Not sure if it is just the British variant though..
http://www.f1bigpicture.com
TUSK!!
Man the harpoons!!
Have we discussed the fact that Villeneuve wants to return to F1? Isn't he like waaay old for that?
Lovely pic, don't see the track from that angle often.
i think we've discussed that everytime we've seen him turning up at F1 races this year. I don't think he's too old, but too removed from current F1, yeah.
I actually want him to return! I have no idea why, he's useless. But he makes me laugh....
Tusk?
Can i just add that DC was no where near as entertaining as Timo, and left without so much as a wave to the fans outside his garage so he could go get his flight to Wimbledon.
I have a video of it too.
.
Boo.
It's interesting that he says the test ban makes experience much more important for teams. Eventually, they'll run out of drivers with experience.
Webber did the same, he just disappeared instantly when in the garage twice.
Hahaha, Heikki just took out Lewis on this F1 game I'm playing. Brilliant!
What is this game you speak of?
...and Heikki just went wide and off. Typical!
If anyone can do it...
I love the Silverstone sky pic.
New Star GP on the PC. Think Micro Machines meets F1... but without all the crazy powerups etc and on F1 style tracks.
He is not too old he is only 37ish.
Oh yeah, I have that! :D
how old was schumi when he went?
76
"Hello, Stirling?..."
Oops, sorry thats ralf Schumacher's IQ. Always get confused.
ish?
i was thinking franck...
I quite like it - it's available for the Mac too :)
Now that, sir, is a fine idea ;)
can i put it on the drop, or do i need to upload it somehow else?
Ping!
There is absolutely no reason why drivers can't compete into their 40s. Itis all the travel and testing and sponsor stuff that tyres them out and gives them more hassle than pleasure that makes them quit earlier.
Villeneuve has had a couple of years off and now the cars will suit him. Get him back in a car and doing what he does best.
Are you in trouble again?
None of that stuff has changed though?
Lukeh, are there any mods for it? There's an option to use a mod when you start up.
you need to ask?
drive slowly?
I thought it was make music. Oh wait...
I've no idea, I've noticed this but at the moment I haven't seen any. I'm sure in time there will be, could always check thew New Star forums :)
:)
Yes but he has had a break from it so he will be not be worn down by it. It's like when Lauda quit and built an airline up for a couple of years. What he was doing must have been massively stressful but he came back good as new and won another championship. Same with Prost when he had his year out.
That is unfair. He is an incredibly good driver he just made a stuupid decision getting involved with the whole BAR thing. I think he did that for all the wrong reasons. He saw what Schumacher was doing with Ferrari and thought he could do the same and his father had talked about setting up his own team so that was in his mind too.
i saw him drive a bar slowly, a renault slowly and bmw slowly. he may have driven a williams quite fast, but the car was dominating the field at the time.
i am rather partial to his song(s) though.
DC aka Mr Friendly
http://drop.io/sidepodcast/asset/dc-shows-the-fans-what-he-thinks-of-them-mp4
wow. miserable bugger.
Yeah, apparently some of the people had been stood there quite a while, and that guy's announcement was the first they heard of him leaving straight away.
He could have waved though
His record speaks for itself. He went through some bad times in some bad teams but he has won the Indy 500 the CART championship and the F1 championship. The guy is a great driver. He just needs things done his own peculiar way and needs the technical director to listen to him.
don't tell me, he's not as adaptable as other drivers? i don't rate him, and i'd rather he didn't return.
i can't actually see this being a remote possibility anyhow though, can you?
They said the same stuff about Webber!! But he gave a thumbs up as he rushed away. Still!
Where could he go?
Clearly someonee had told him his fellow countryman Andy Murray was out of Wimbledon, and he realised he had tickets :P
USF1 with Marco?
Not in the slightest.
He has a very wierd set up inside the car which he and Patrick Head fought about for ages before Head would allow the team to set up the car the way he wanted it. The same thing happened at other teams too. He uses a really short travel throttle pedal and other oddities. The thing is though as soon as the team stopped arguing and gave him what h needed he was instantly faster.
I can see him coming back. He argued against grooved tyres and that whole philosophy of car worked against him. He sees F1 as unfinished business and now we have slicks and marginally reduced aero the cars should suit him a lot more.
I want to know where all these masively adaptable drivers are. Where and when were there dozens of adaptable drivers?
There are 6 new cars on the grid. I would have thought that he was tailor made for USF1.
If it's any consolation to steven's argument, I would like him to return because when I was young, his helmet reminded me of neopolitan ice cream
Would it still do that though?
Well there's only one way to find out!
i don't understand when everyone suddenly became so needy?
there was talk two years ago(?) about drivers needing to adapt to new tyre regs and fernando said it took him about 6 months to get used to things, and kubica was the same.
but they did adapt. they had to change their style and work with what they had, but they still made the most of it.
that's two i can recall off the top of my head. there are plenty more. when was the last time webber said the car didn't suit his style? or vettel?
:)
Drivers have always needed cars to handle a particular way. At any one time there ae maybe at best two drivers who can adapt to anything. Most of the time there are not even that many.
They adapted but they did not change from understeer to oversteer or anything extreme they simply went from extreme understeer to milder understeer.
When was the last time either of them said anythig publically about the handling of the car? Most drivers don't discuss these thing in public.
he's canadian ;) Given I've been not in the f1 world lately, is there a more serious cause for this discussion or has he just been hanging around again?
He's been appearing at GP's more and more and slowly hinting that he wants to return, now he's just come out and said it straight to everyone so we can assume now he's actually serious about it.
i don't see why it has to be such a problem?
the car understeers a bit. okay. once the driver has figured this out... drive around it.
why is it that a driver who favours a certain style early in his career can suddenly be excused for doing badly, when he gets a car that handles differently?
he's meant to be the best in the world, so either help fix the problem, or driver better.
you think kimi can just fold his arms now and say... well, that ferrari isn't quite ideal for my needs, 6th it'll have to be. $40m please.
He visited the paddock at Silverstone and spoke to quite a few teams. He may be Canadian but he has a high profile in America and he has an F1 pedigree. As far as I can see he is their ideal choice.
i thought he'd pretty much said that at monaco. at least he'S blunt about it now. obviously the people he was talking to said "no" and now he's having to advertise
Another asset he would have is being able to test at the end of the season when the youngsters are supposed to have a go. He is one of the few experienced guys who would be able to do that.
if usf1 were even remotely interested, why would he have to go public like this?
don't tell me you think schumi should make a comeback too?
which one? ;) yes and no if the answer was both
Pay negotiation
Sound out to see if there is any other demand to get more money?
Promote the new album I made for him
OK. Change you dignature to something entirely different and repeat the new signature exactly 72 times and use the hand you don't normally write with. And the new signature has to be neat, legible etc. It can't be done. Some people can do it but they are few and far between.
You have to look at what is involved in driving a car on the limit. Someone like Raikkonen has tuned his brain to interpret the signals from the semi-circular canals in his ears as the rear of the car slides and translate them into movements od his hands and feet to correct the car.
He has to work with the team to get the car to do what he wants it to do. We have no reason to believe that is not exactly what he is doing.
signature not dignature
To get information from other teams. To assess his value. USF1despite their early launch have not exactly been making public progress. To me that is the natural fit for them but maybe he is replacing Kimi at Ferrari. He would be cheaper than Alonso.
I think if I was being paid 40 million, I could learn to be ambidextrous.
we can see that with 18 months, and with a brand new chassis under him, massa is still finishing ahead.
i bought into what you were suggesting at the end of '08. and figured if it were true (and with ferrari saying kimi would be getting a lot of off-season attention), that the roles within the team would be reversed this year.
they haven't.
i know that i would be seen to be trying as hard as humanly possible.
You can't just choose to be ambidextrous. Some people are but most of us could never be. There was a time when all left handed children were force to use their right hands in school. They didn't become abidextrous. A lot of them became psychologically disturbed.
I agree. Every time you get into a different road car you have to adapt to the controls, power and brakes, clutch position etc. Why is it so different for a race car?
but slower and more baggy ;)
Because there are about 400 more variables!
Also you are not just trying to drive the car, you are trying to take it to the absolute limit
But that is why they are the best, isn't it?
But at the end of the day it's still a car.
He may well be doing that but it isn't working.
Because you are not pushing at the limit of adhesion in every corner. Driving a road car bears no relation to driving a race car.
Thanks Christine for the brill mini series, loved it! As I have only started watching F1 from 2007 onwards I was not aware of when all the safety regs were introducted!
I think its a bit like being the words best sprinter, then being asked to do the long jump.
Some people can do both in credibly well, some cant.
i have concluded from this conversation that yuji ide was probably a very brilliant racing driver, who was given a car that simply did not suit him.
i therefore wish to take back any and all criticism i ever levelled at him, clearly i wasn't seeing the bigger picture. sorry yuj.
No it is not. You get in a car and drive to speed limits and never get close to the limit of what the car can do. If you took your car out and drove it as fast as you could make it go round any route the odds are you would crash very quickly. These guys are not only making the car corner absolutely on the limit of its capabilities but they care competing against 19 others doing exactly the same thing and they are doing it in a car that will pull 4 times the G force your road car is capable of.
If I may break up the current topic for a sec, just flicking through Lukeh's pics of Goodwood on FB and this one caught my attention:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?page=2&aid=280804&id=608160156#/photo.php?pid=7712435&id=608160156
Now, who does that look like Mario is talking to?... ;)
it's not though.
it's like saying, you are the worlds best sprinter and now you have to try running in different shoes.
you can still run the 100m. you can still run in a straight line. it's just there's a different brand name on your soles.
You have no basis for that. There is nothing in his history to say that he was any good. Villeneuve has a track record of winning major championships in different classes therefore he was either very lucky to be in the best car in all of them and have useless team mates or he is a good driver.
i say lucky.
sorry. but in the fastest car he was the fastest driver (except for when hill beat him in the same machinery). in other machinery he was at best, average.
I wish I could remember now if it was Loeb! I should've took more notice...
Don't know:

Ah.
To the drop then!
No its not. The world's best sprinter is that because of his muscles and his training not because of his shoes. The shoes contribute almost none of the speed and the difference between one shoe and another is absolutely minimal.
Ahem, Lukeh, If I may? ;)
I'll see if I flickr'd it a sec
So what about his CART record then?
This photo
montoya did well in cart too didn't he? so?
Forget pannel shows... Sidepodcast needs a hardcore question time style debate!
Well so did Bourdais... but thats another matter.
Jaques did win the world title though, and his car didnt appear to be massively better than Schumacher's
So he is a quick driver. Montoya's problem was Jan Magnussen syndrome. He had all the speed in the world but didn't have the other things necessary to be a success in F1.
Montoya and JV raced against talented fields, Bourdais only had to worry about Tracy.
interestingly, i didn't want jacques to come back to f1 ten minutes ago, because i think he's a waste of space. now i really want him to come back, to prove it once and for all.
a return for jacques would be a disaster on a scale not seen since... well, the last time jacques made a comeback. but now i'm quite looking forward to it.
That sounds like a fun show.
Sadly, I would have to host it, and I am not smart enough.
CART was a shadow of its former self by the time Bourdais was winning
I consider that a partial success then.
Who needs a David Dimbleby when you have a Christine?
:D
Pf course you are
We could have a guest host, like the panel.
The host really just has to step in when things get to heated, and stop people from going on to long.
..whereas ten minutes ago I didn't think he had a chance but sort of hoped he did, but now think he does have a chance but I don't want him anywhere near it.
I hope he does. I kinda miss neopolitan ice cream
Hehe, I meant to say that too!
:D
Just a thought - perhaps Kimi needs some of this:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/07/07/magnetic_brain_stim_research/
Can it read through giant caps though?
we already have sidepodchat. we tried it, and it went on for way to long and killed us in terms of bandwidth usage.
we don't have time to do any more shows at the moment, but it could make a comeback one day. we're going to need a means of keeping it shorter though.
Plus, I need time to get smarter :)
not sure if you guys have noticed, but for all the jokes we've made about "beta" products. have you noticed that gmail has dropped it today? only took 5 years of testing...
1 hour time limit?
Something not quite right with the world.
Still says beta for me?
it's not that though. the subjects dragged on a bit too. good conversation, but only really for hardcore fans.
no fun for casual listeners.
Much as it goes against the grain there need to be rules and time limits and some kind of structure.
stop watching tennis?
Have a few topics, 10-15 mins per topic, at the limit be strict and move on but otherwise keep it open. If something ends early that just means more time for something later.
it's ruined sidepodcast. now we have to think about doohickey still being beta.
You've changed your tune.
odd. the main gmail page i go to does not use the word beta, plus has a link at the bottom about how they've dropped it.
Not true. At least you never got outsmarted by a chair
agreed. but also, somehow different from the panel.
:)
i think all the green rots your brain.
I get what you mean. I remember I was on one of them and it dragged on for so long, even I was getting a bit bored. Plus, most of the time I probably couldn't really get a word in edgeways since I didn't really know what we were on about!
ouch.
that is mean!
how bout you just call it gamma instead. sounds tre cool.
You threw it up. She HAD to hit it. :D
Each show needs its own clear identity or people will get confused.
If somewhat radioactive :P
Oops, I meant he. Thought Christine said it!
Thats true, maybe just 3 people and a host. 30 seconds to answer, maybe 1 repost each?
Not that i intended it to be more than a flippant comment!
that's exactly the effect I want in a website. but maybe doesn't boost traffic..
Just gives you 5 arms and a second head.
30 seconds is way too short for a more in-depth QT-style show
Before we get anywhere, we still need a name. Then work it around that.
true enough. keep the ideas coming though.
like this
More from the Register: Something for Alianora I think:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/07/07/preboiled_eggs/
Shouldn't the name suit the format rather than deciding a name first
i must've missed a conversation?
you don't like sidepodchat? or are you confused by all the sidepod's too?
Clearly, The C's started off with Sidepodcast and made it around that.
i blame...
I think Alianora made a comment about being unable to cook anything. Seems to be a common failing round here probably due to no-one having invented a food preparation device that can be run from a keyboard.
i'll put it on the list.
I'd envision it as being like a panel but with longer answers and much more open answers - as long as there is a Dimbleby-figure to moderate and keep within the chosen topic. Not time restricting the answers, allow them to speak but also to shut them up if they've been dominating.
Allow 8-10 mins per topic. 4 topics per show and a break or two during the recording. About one hour less the edits.
That may be true, but a podcast can use pretty much any format you like.
it has been done
I need a device that gets the cup and the ingredients then makes the tea and washes up after.
There's an obvious joke there, but I must.not.reply.
it has been done. it's called a cafe.
SidepodFormulovision - A contestant applies to sing a song for every team about the team or about F1, ala Eurovision, and then listeners vote for the winner! Job done and infinitely more useful/credible than the eurovision
The BBC will be stealing this idea I fear
i half typed it. then just pulled out the 10 foot pole and let Andy ;)
again??
But I need to go there.
night time for me. night all. France says hello ;)
Not going there. I don't want to be sitting on the Naughty Step.
if you have a shop nearby, they will deliver.
Might have to take a trip down to bbc studios and have a word with that fella' off the one show if they do, or john barrowman. they seem to do everything on the BBC asides f1, they'll sort it out
Night Scott
So what you need is a tea delivery service. I used to call mine "mum".
C'mon, its nice and comfy.
Night Mr Scott in Italy in France.
bye, and are you applying for max's job too?
i was in bologna when fota met there so i think it's clear whose side i'm on.
ciao.
night
Barrowman can't help he'll be too busy doing torchwood things :P
Not with the lenght of their seasons!
1 week!
eh?
Torchwood's series this year is an hour at 9pm every day, from yesterday till friday so 5 episodes
wow. isn't that just a soap opera?
Some people call them mini-series ;)
Erm, just like classic dr who episodes.
heheheh!
it was? fair enough.
Hahahaha! He walked right into that one :)
Brilliant :D
With the amount of sexual tension in Torchwood, you're probably right.
:(
i kinda though the point of a weekly thing was to build anticipation. daily is no more exciting than hollyoaks, surely?
I like Torchwood but I'm sure it's just RTD unleashing everything he wishes he could've attempted in Doctor Who concerning swearing and other stuff. And it's SO WELSH!!!!
Which is a strange observation coming from myself I know but my god it's just welsher than wales. Still good viewing though :P
Ive tried to watch Dr Who and Torchwood. I just cant get into it.
I think i have narrowed the problem down to: Its not Star Trek
It is :D I just hope they don't finish it after this.
I like Torchwood because it's Dr Who, but more adult and not everything can be solved by the use of a sonic screwdriver :P
Original Series or The Next Generation?
Please don't say Deep Space Nine.
I don't know why I visit cardiff. it gets so many aliens visiting.
I know, they should really relocate that city.
Erm, well thats clearly the best one... ::D
But i like them all.
In fact if any TV series had to be made forever, I think i would choose DS9
Geordie Cap'n Jack??
Evening all
Yep and that bay (around the Roald Dahl Plass) must be a mess, so not much worth seeing ;)
Uh oh. Can't we just agree that Next Generation is the best Star Trek? :)
Cardiff Bay has Techniquest though. I'll fight off John barrowman and aliens to go to techniquest anyday!!!
Last time I was there, the Torchwood entrance was all padlocked up. I have to say I was quite worried by this.
Nah, that would mean I'd get lots of aliens. And that would require running around a lot screaming your head off. Not good for your health.
There's a risk that aliens could kill you, but meh.
Next Generation. TOS is badly showing its age now
Hehe, I'll help. I'd be good with Barrowman ;)
Yet again Steven is the voice of reason.
DS9 never made any sense to me. It's called Star Trek not Star Park here and see what happens.
he's not the voice of reason, he's a very naughty boy.
Just say to him 'BBC are starting a new reality show and need a host' and he'll be gone in a hurry. Not that it'd be your objective but still, if a problem ever occurs, that's the best way out of it! :P
TNG and Voyager are about the same level for me
They realised that after what the 3 seasons? and gave them a ship :P
Which was "not much" if I remember correctly.
:D
Can we settle for reasonably naughty
Hehe that would work, but I prefer my objective (whatever that might be :P)
But Voyager's Captain had an annoying voice. The Doctor (wonder where they got the name from) was good though.
There was all that mystical Sisko rubbish and the security guy who lived in a bucket. I never understood how they could have so many problems when the head of security was a shape shifter.
Why, I wouldn't know.
What! It had story arcs, it had charichter depth, It had everything a tv series ever needed and so much more!
Wars, Crooks, Spys, Klingons, War Criminals & Terrorists.
I love all the other Treks, but DS9 is the only one which poses real moral questions, and the drama was much better because of it.
Voyager is the only one I'll watch now. TOS looks bad now, TNG never intrested me that much. DS9 was good one time through and the less said about Enterprise the better :P
(The Doctor from Voyager was in another of my fav shows, Stargate :D)
borg?
He was raised by bajorans though so he didnt become a proper shape shifter until season 5 ;)
No borg in DS9, they were busy being made to look bad in Voyager ;)
Sisko was at the Battle of Wolf 359*
*Perhaps the most nerdy thing i have ever written
Hollyoaks is underrated.
Oh pat I thought better of you! :(
btw, I have uploaded 319 x GW pics
go on?
I endured 14 minutes of that show, it was torture. Also confusing.
Home and Away on the other hand...
I agree.
you're saying home and away is better than hollyoaks?
The point of Star Trek was the Trek. A captain and his crew heading out to discover new life and new civilisations. Not to put on blue berets and act like a UN peacekeeping force.
i feel your pain brother. That way we were both succumb to the power of losing batteries and remotes :(
It had proper story arcs and the action came to the station..
DS9 was alll about Bajorans and Cardassians
Which one is the one with Harold Bishop? As that is the best one, as it has harold bishop
From the 18 minutes I watched that, yes.
Never work when you want them too. Damn technology. Clearly built by... actually, won't go down that route
But that was the point of the "Federation" and when DS9 started TNG was still running, so there would have been two shows about the same things.
you could be on to something there.
Ahhh, that was neighbours.
He was always a shape shifter he just didn't meet other shape shifter until the worm hole aliens/prophets were identified. He still spent an hour a day in a bucket before that though.
Thankfully not. The Borg were good in Next Gen. They were rubbish in Voyager.
They did that through the wormhole...
But i get your point.
DS9 was on at the same time as a traditional trek show throughout its run though so it got a bit different, i liked it, especially the war.
I am denying any fact I have a preference towards Australian soaps.
I see. neighbours is the best soap I reckon
Hasn't he left now? Or is leaving soon?
I haven't watched it for a month though.
Until he joined with the others though he was limited to becoming things he could understand
*geek moment* because he couldn't maintain human form forever and needed to revert back.
Which is bigger in UK, Neighbours or Home and Away?
well that changes everything...
And hello.
No, he left. A few weeks back if I remember.
It was advertised, thats how I knew.
Neighbours as it has Harold Bishop
Neighbours, both on Five though.
he left a few weeks ago :)
*waves*
was it advertised during the programme?
HE LEFT???????
Hullo sir. Glad to see you coming in right during the Australian Soap debate
I thought it was, which confuses me, cos H&A is much bigger here I think.
OH MY GOD.
I need to sit down
you can't put a smiley after a sentence like that. it needs a
Yes.
I mean no, I was watching, the channel for CSI
*Comforting arm around your shoulder*
Its tough to take
There are some questions I never thought I would see here.
I suspect he may just be in a coma, and have amnesia, he has a habit of those sorts of things ;)
after a whole evening of sorting/ editing i still have hundreds of images to sort through. however i've decided to upload one image as a bit of a teaser... it's a bit small though...
oh...sorry editing photos of Jenson has scrambled my mind... he didn't die though... he could always come back.
Ooh do go on! :)
oh phew.
he went travelling again, he's been a little absent from the program for a while
Mum watches Eastenders. Sometimes my visits coincides with it being watched. It is the same storyline over and over and over. Yet the thing wins awards.
Hollyoaks, while preposterous at times (and thus showing it doesn't take itself seriously), does what EE used to do and asks questions. When it isn't doing fluffy stuff.
my keyboard not working properly again, stupid wireless
Oh wow, i missed that, will have a look now ;)
He did got cancer. But sorta left to live somewhere else, so will come back when there is some sort of funeral.
Maybe he's talking to Campos or manor? I hope so
14 minutes is nothing. Watch it for the rest of the week.
:D
Dea..oh no you are not.
I know he died once and they brought him back.
Used to be Neighbours because that used to be on BBC1 and Home and Away was on ITV. Now both are on on Five and nobody cares.
Last time I watched Neighbours, Mike Young had just popped off to Perth to visit his mother. He was never mentioned again.
will upload more once i've finished editing the rest :)
how would know that though?
Putting the Sidepodcar project on hold while I think what to do with it next, I need a livery to do on Forza 2. Was thinking about doing a Brawn Merc CLK GTR. Any ideas others I could attempt, maybe? Need somethin' to get the creative juices flowing :P
I've been told.
ahh. understood. by the same person keeping rg informed no doubt.
Hmm, I just watch it.
;)
Damn, I'm stupid.
Has John Surtees been knighted? He should be.
Seeing as he left 20 years ago, that's unlikely. Neighbours to me is Joe and Mrs Mangel, Harold and Marge, Henry and Bronwen, Des, Jim Robinson and his interchangeable wives and daughters (by which I mean they kept replacing the actors - once his wife left for a conference as a blonde and returned as a brunette and he didn't even comment on her hair).
Not watched it since.
Go John!
Lukeh, just reading your blog about Goodwood - you shook Adrian Newey's hand???
Great pics Pat, you took some from right next to where i spent a lot of Sunday, so we might have anonymously passed!
Ta. Where was that? I was all over the place.
I had a small chat with him. I said yesterday, he really is a lovely bloke.
On the straight opposite the main house, before the bridge, we were on the terrace
Right, after revealing waay too much about my tv viewing habits, I shall now say goodnight.
Won't be around for the quiz tomorrow night by the way.
Ahh right. I was at the bridge quite a few times, on either side of the track. A good place to take track pics between other locations.
night rg.
Ah, I remember those days
Not watched it since either and still trying to forget Stefan Dennis's chart success!
Yes you can no longer make disparaging remarks about other people's TV habits.. Night.
Goodnight.
define success.
Lola's 1997 F1 campaign was a massive success
For Stefan Dennis, I'd saying someone buying a record and it entering the charts! :D
hahahahahhaaaa
I completely forgot to say!
I think i saw VBH in Arundel!
Lukeh - can you get on Forzamotorsport.net?
I'm getting an endless loop of singing in popups when I go on. :/
Same. I wanted to upload my Brawn logo on the white CLK GTR I've begun working on :(
See ya later everyone.
This answers a lot http://twitpic.com/9mr2t
...I think that's Gran Turismo ;)
where, who, what?
bye sean.
Well at least he's going the right way
He's in for a shock when he finds the full GT5 has damage :D
Arundel, Near goodwood
Viki Butler Henderson
I may have seen her from the back of the car, although i had walked for hours 2 days in a row, i may have been delirious
no pics?
Whaddaya think? :P
http://drop.io/sidepodcast/asset/photo-109
Verry nice!
can you make the wheels glow for a finishing touch?
Nooo the monkeys on Zoo Tycoon broke the fence and got into the lion enclosure :(
Damn this game breaking my heart
Camera was normally out of ammo by 3pm.. sorry.
I was also dead after leaving the site too ;)
That's the best I could get for luminous yellowy-green. The photo makes it seem a darker shade than it is.
Think of the savings you will make on lion food ;)
I feel the monkeys are to blame; they had a walrus exhibit the other side and broke the lion fence. That's just a stupid choice I say.
has anyone else tried the brawn gp racing application for the ipod/ iphone yet? i've been playing on it for a bit and i think it's pretty fun :D
The monkeys arranged a Walrus exhibit?
Was that an art project?
it sounds great from what was mentioned earlier. You get to drive as rubens and everything :o
I bought it too, while on my lunch. Only had one go but it's pretty cool. Graphics are very impressive too. Better than Codies' work on the Wii F1 game so far. Yes, I DO mean that
i've just read back through the comments... Jenson was at Kemble today! how unfair i was stuck at school organising this stupid inter house art/drama/music project we are doing this week. :( i could have done with not being in school today... lol
comment.of.the.year :)
i don't think it's anything really to panic about tbh. there have been a few cases in my school recently, including my best friend and our head master. Everyone is fine, they only seemed to have the symptoms for a few days, and after being cleared by doctors were allowed back to school.
and done
okay, time to sleep. another long day ahead organising my house at school, fun times :) night all! x
