Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmhummmmmmmm! I am pleased to see you all here again. You all look great! Let's see what I've got here for you ...
Ah-ha, thought so ... the Formula 1 thing shook our world and then fell into kind of a sleep again. No news, really. Except at Joe's, 'cause he's been really busy yesterday! And except of Sebastien Buemi who's been busy training at the moment of writing this words. Let's talk pictures then, shall we? Here and here you can find a very fine selection of some F1 moments.
And good news for all ... erm ... UK fans: the 'Senna' movie has finally been given a UK release date - 3 June. Lucky you! In Germany we haven't heard nothing about it yet. I think because there is already a Vettel movie in the making ...
Having said that let's move to THE topic for today, tomorrow, and the whole week, if you like: Champions League. Before the thing kicks off there's been only one topic for few days: Will Gareth Bale start against Real Madrid? Will Cristiano Ronaldo start against Tottenham? That's two topics by the way, but nevermind ... what matters is the answer: Yes, they both will start! *fireworks* *shout of joy* *etc* Real Madrid vs Tottenham Spurs tonight. Do not miss it. This is going to be a cracking match. Do NOT miss it! As for me, I don't know which team I'm going to support. I like both ... I do not mind Spurs winning and going through ... I do not mind Real winning either ... and by the way, Real has a secret weapon: this Xabi Alonso chap. Oh, we all love you too, lad! After this - if it's possible - even more. :-)
My enemies are playing each other tomorrow night so today I'm only going to enjoy the beautiful game.
Meanwhile in the league of all leagues 'Arry had something to say: "Harry Redknapp has suggested it would take a world-record transfer fee to prise Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer after the Wales winger said that he was open to the prospect of a switch to a leading continental club." Pffffffffffffffffffffffff ...
Wayne Rooney has been charged for using offensive language while celebrating his goal against West Ham on Saunday. He scored a hattrick. A hattrick! Why hasn't he celebrated like a "normal" guy? Why is he so angry? What's wrong with him? I don't understand. Do you?
Oh, and Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas has been involved in a car accident yesterday but he's all right. Take it easy Cesc, don't you worry about what Robin said ... as much as I loved this to be truth (everyone but United!!!), it won't happen. Not this year.
In yesterday's daily RG covered all the sports coming up this week and I agree with him: I don't know how I get anything done! Oh there are tweets of the week, sidepodchat, Football Weekly podcast and a new old episode of this for you to discover.
I shall finish up with some Spanish atmosphere, flair, spirit, complexion - or whatever you like to call it - by means of this interesting read about Real Oviedo, the home town of The Eyebrow Man. :-)
I am off to ... work, I guess. :-) Have a lovely day!
P.S. Heikki has been busy too! :-)
Morning ;)
OOps think i messed up there...
Hello april 5th :)
Now amy is in yesterday and it appears gavin was the first person to post today!
#Confused
It's quite nice in here - I think I turned up just as Amanda posted...
that's odd, when the doohickey loaded on my phone this post was on it so I assumed I was commenting in today.
Who can tell with the piece of junk that is the nokia browser.
Holiday over here today , I am extending it by one hour for myself by shifting to different time zone
that sounds very wise
Except the traveling to get there :-)
yo folks
Ho Yolks!
Does anyone know if the Joe chat happen last night?
I meant to leave a question but i was so sleepy i drifted off
Didn't know it was even on - I've spent much of the last few days either researching for an article or trying to sleep
:)
I too am busy. 12 Exce sheets on 2 screens and the emails slapping me like a salmon
That's an image for the Vault of Horror
;)
12??? I'm a Data Analyst and I never have that many!!!
I have about 30 ring binders of manuals that need checking and distributing...
To be fair 3 of them are for reference for the other 8 and one is just for reformatting data before it gets put on a page of one of the 8 sheets
:)
A day late, but I had to edit this a lot before I posted it (for obvious reasons)
Ping -->
For Organisers and Interlagos - http://theformulaoneandmotorsportsarchive.wordpress.com/2011/04/05/for-organisers-and-interlagos/
sounds exactly like my day today. It was not a good last day at work!
Hasn't happened for a long time that I arrived at the airport with an hour to spare. Rather quiet at this hour ....
food time?
i wouldn't mind some pie right now...
yep, emtpy lounge, some coffee some snacks, do not want to stuff myself too much, need to keep stomach reasonably empty for some proper Vietnamese dinner :-)
Ooh someone else in the competition has 30 more comments than me. I will not stand for this!
quickly comment on every comment :-)
hehe I have been replying more recently :)
I think I said that yesterday... :D But said person leading in comments didn't get a reply from AA Aus today. :D
I'm commenting on this comment
oh those comments
I shall comment on this coment, and refference this comment:
This has given me an idea for a post: http://www.formula1.com/news/features/2011/4/11891.html
Does anyone know how I could find information on the number of safety cars deployed during a GP?
Normally I would say "ask Gavin", but in this case...
I only have a couple of years of data...
:)
that is couple of years more than regular F1 fan would have :-)
Maybe the F1 statistics sites store that data?
There's a big hole in my 2010 data - assuming the FIA Pdf's have this info...
Tweet Manipe to see if he knows of a database for it
I have the post race stewards reports but they do not mention safety cars I think. you may have to go and read all the race reviews and compile the SC info from them :-)
Ah. Not a quick job then. I'm gonna give this one a crack just for a laugh.
Should be doing my Points Per Million graph for Fantasy Racers soonish.
I think it will be good idea to start walking towards the boarding gate
You could do a search on Grandprix.coms encyclopedia for "Saftey Car" ? then manually extract. If you can get it to highlight each race with a deployment could take less than 1 min?
I'm also looking for the number during each race too...
1 min per race with a mention. saftey car started in 93?
I guess it's easier to sort through a shorter list.
I believe there was one safety car period in 1973, then nothing for 20 years
;)
Slight orange juice shower, a bit on my shoes a lot all over the guy sitting in the first row. Surprisingly calm reaction to the actions of clumsy flight attendant
It did.
Ooooohh-errr... Getting excited now
:)
Correct. Probably because for the one race in 1973, we're still not 100% sure who won and probably never will be (Peter Revson was given the win but that was more of a "best guess" basis - at one point the officials had an Iso-Williams leading the race and even Frank didn't believe them!)
:)
Safety/Pace cars were introduced to USAC / Indycar events the previous year and the race in '73 (can't remember which one off hand) was a kind of test the water situation
I am skyping my mum as she goes through her email inbox, forwarding a link to my photo to everyone she knows with facebook.
She's still not willing to get one herself though :)
Ridiculous!!
I'm quite pleased my mum doesn't want to be my friend actually :)
You should tell her that you have a friend who hates Facebook but opened an account just to vote for you. :D

Oh. :P
What...? How...? :O WOW.
one of my best friends has one of those mothers who makes stupid comments on every single thing she ever posts on there so I have decided that all parents on facebook must be like that :)
Courtesy of the Official Formula 1 Season Review 2010 (a book which would probably benefit from being #mfc, but is still useful)
I'm friends with my mom AND dad. They're not like that at all. :)
And this info isn't online? *facepalm*
have they liked my photo? :D
My parents don't know how to use the internet
Alas, no. :| But I won't ask them to unless we really need to. :)
Nope. Bernie must think this is a wonderful way of making money from getting print publications to pay him to have the official review...
fair enough. always good to have a back up buffer ;) #tactics
My parents know how to use the internet but don't see the point of them being on social networks because none of their peers use them for anything other than professional purposes. They're quite interested in how my Twitter account is going though.
Incidentally, if anyone needs the equivalent SC information from 2002-2009, 2000 or 1997, I can oblige using other season reviews/yearbooks.
There's that too, albeit my parents don't know what twitter is
I was just explaining to my mum that I don't use facebook much, but I often update the world on twitter and everyone can see that. She didn't ask how she can see it though so I don't think I'll be secretly monitored :)
Ping: http://mrschristine.com/2011/04/05/no-two-pairs-of-feet-are-the-same/
I don't really use FB, but my site automatically links to it
if you google my name my twitter is the first result so I'm not hard to find. Who knows who's reading me :)
your mum. :D
I'm not entirely sure that mum knows what google is :)
And I'm not an online auction site so my dad won't care :)
Jenson and Jessica run, run, run. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1373424/Jenson-Button-girlfriend-Jessica-Michibata-compete-Hawaii-triathlon-together.html
:D
oh yes, running, I vaguely remember what that is.
Morning all.
Heh. My parents cyberstalk me...
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
#blameamysfeet
morning stuart
#blamelaziness :( orrr #blamef1 perhaps. All this race going is interfering with things.
:D
Maybe you should join the journos in their track run. :D
why are you reading the daily mail?
Aww. Well, do it today.
In other news, can anyone recommend a decent but not absurdly expensive Mac compatible Skype headset? Looking like I’ll have to go to Rally Jordan next week, and Mrs C is getting the jitters. Regular contact will help. Obviously I’ll need to buy a pair...
its now late and dark. And I still have 11 things on my to do list and theres only 9 hours until my alarm goes off so I don't miss my plane. Silly F1!
You can start again when you get back.
Unknown. Long ago, when I lived at home, they had the facility to snoop through my bedroom – perhaps this could be characterised as a displacement activity!
thats the plan. no more race going for a whole 5 months once I get back!
Ah, OK.
Sigh....
Passing this grey and damp Tuesday with the Gorillaz - nice.
:)
My dad called me the other week to say, "I won't be able to join in with the radio show this week so I thought I'd give you a call"
Holy crap! Cheers!
(Do you have any other years worth of data?)
Morning guys! :)
This morning am tidying my room from head to toe and I thought I'd share my little favourite cars that have come back out from on top of my cupboard under a thick layer of dust...
http://twitpic.com/4h6tfs
Nice to see them again :)
Logitech or Microsoft USB based sets start at around AUD $40 and are truly plug and play. I love my Bluetooth headset, the motorola S305 which cost about AUD $80 if you don't mind recharging it once a week. Buy a spare micro USB cable to charge from your mac instead of the supplied wall charger
Thanks Alia - Would you like to do some sort of collaborative post on this?
Incidentally you have been much more helpful than Manipe was...
Which ones do you want? (Alison has quoted the years for which I can provide the information).
Can do, thank you. I will make a start on retrieving the necessary data right away :)
Depends how long it takes you - I would be happy with 2008-2010 data though...
But if you feel it's easy to do more, you are most welcome to ;)
I now officially hate Aer Lingus
:(
aw what have they done?
What have they done to you?
Three-and-a-half months late, they still have not refunded me for my cancelled Christmas flights and now they tell me they may never have received my application in the first place
Are they quite cunning?
Jeremy!
Journeyer, I had Lugaw soup for lunch!
How awful!
http://www.auc.org.uk/
Naughty corner? :)
Oh wait they don't do that anymore.... BOOO!!
My mistake. One second.
that sucks :( Especially since it was at Christmas! My Air Asia refund is overdue but only by a few weeks so I haven't bothered to contact them to ask where it is yet #ilovetony
Many thanks!
...and I think I've lost my reference number too. Well, that was £130 that I really could have used...
where have you been hiding? I thought of you when I bought my iPad :D
Don't let that put you off. They will have records of you on their system. Presumably you can prove you paid by bank statement if necessary. You do NOT need to provide the reference if you don't have it.
Just not had much to say. I'm so happy about your purchase, it's made up for my sadness about not being able to join you all in Melbourne
The woman refused to deal with me without a ref number
:/
Never too late to join us in 2012. Well, it would be if it was the day after the race I guess.
I'm just annoyed now
Get hold of her supervisor. In writing if need be.
Might be necessary - this is nearly £35 worth of phone calls I've used up on this
do they have a twitter? twitter customer service can be awesome.
This flipping government. I had a few places where I was gonna link you some advice but every single one has a note saying this service is being moved to X organisation... Blah blah blah.
Rest assured basically you should write to them. Say in your letter your name, address, date you were due to fly, that the flight was cancelled. Tell them you're unhappy with their handling of your case up to this point. Tell them they've lost your documentation from your previous claim.
By the time they write back, I'm sure some organisation will have decided who is regulating air passenger complaints.
Both sound like plans
:)
Urgh. My blood is boiling in sympathy.
Found out last week that Ryanair are adding £2 to all their flights to make up their Christmas losses - cheeky *******
Also if you need to ring them again, try 020 8234 4333
Will do
:)
Cheers folks
Send them a bill for the £35 while you're contacting the supervisor...
Alas, this Friday should calm me right down
:)
Just don't let them tell you that you need a reference. This is a lie. You wanted to fly, the plane didn't go. You should have a refund no questions asked.
Speaking of air travel related grr's - my parents have already started to annoy us BEFORE they even come to visit us by arriving in the middle of the last day of work before we go on holiday!
If they tell you that you need a reference, tell them they have a reference in their file (because one will have been generated when you bought the flight in the first place).
Do not let me try to talk my way out of buying a Golden Ticket for 2012. I must be there!
Ooooohhh good point
I have between 2006-2010. You can certainly have earlier than that, but it will have to wait until mid-afternoon or so. I can promise it will be before 2012 though ;)
As in, 2006-2010 is now all on one text file which I can e-mail to you now if you like, RubberGoat.
That's perfectly fine. He doesn't want to help me at all anyway.
Oooh Excellent! Thanks Alia!

It pains me but I think I'm leaving my flag at home this race :(
I am going super space saving in my packing plus I feel safe that heikki will have plenty of support in Malaysia as a Lotus driver so it's not so important as usual :)
Maybe pick one up on arrival and give it to a local at the end of the race?
I think I'm going completely mad...
...by means of this interesting read about Real Oviedo, the home town of The Eyebrow Man.
if his hometown has a football stadium of that size, how'd he end up in a kart?
Ooh ooh mr c I won't have time to finish my fanvision post so look for it after Malaysia, new and improved with two races worth of data #rubbishblogger
I'm sorry to hear that
P.S. Heikki has been busy too!
easy day?! his new trainer isn't working him hard enough.
Because they're S...!
(I know a guy from Oviedo)
hehehe, no worries. i'd also love to hear comparisons with the ipad app after china. but if i say "no rush" it'll be june before you know it :)
i'm missing something: http://twitter.com/andy_hone_snapa/status/55221317045207042
Yup SU! I am the master of reading posts thanks to you pal!
SU is a nice guy, and has a good memory :)
presumably he's confused because of the whole list / follow thing?
well I get home on Monday but ill be hanging out with my brother, then it's my birthday, then it's Wednesday... Might as well wait a few more days and wait til Saturday since I'll miss fp1 and 2 because of work :D
that Adam, he's no petri!
ahh
you know his name already?!
I asked Mabel :)
*jealous* Andy Hone has his own pass this year...

morning all!
This is like the Seinfeld thing...
JERRY: It's only for three days. Today's over and we have tommorow. We leave on Sunday. It's one day, really.
JERRY: It's one day. Half a day, really. I mean you substract showers and meals, it's like twenty minutes. It will go by like that. (snapping his fingers)
I just realized the comments are keeping me from packing. I only picked up the iPad because my packing list is on here!
How do I make it stop putting z's where I want s's without turning off autocorrect all together. Grr.
turn it off... and autocaps. evil :)
Austin progress

hehehe on Jenson's triathlon.
'@JensonButton

points! :)
I feel it cruel that it auto capped Adam but not petri. Off it goes ;)
hehehe.
Hah that's awesome :)
My maths is too hard. I give up. Maybe I won't go to university afterall. It's too difficult!!
Ohhhh....?
What maths?
What ya doing?
i thought you went to uni for cheap beers and partying?
I'm trying to do an assignment for a level 2 OU maths course I'm supposed to be doing as a refresher.
Trying being the key point.
Hehehe i looovee that Andy wants Mr and Mrs C to follow him.. and i also love that her replied to me..
Just need Lorenzo on Twitter and then all my fav photogs will be there :)
Loan = Pay - (Beer + Partying)
oooh, that's my kinda maths.
Hehe, finding old stuff in a clearout is brilliant. I've found alex's daily that he sent me through the post and his Don't Blink postcard!
You just got to remember your BODMAS and you're in!
Things I would never have thought of...
he he :)
i (heart) happy f1 photographers :)
Or if you are American, Please excuse my dear aunt Sally
Can you do mine for me please? It's only sequences. Nothing difficult..... *runs*
What exactly is the problem?
Hmmm...
Parenthesis?
e...aster eggs?
Multiplication?
Division?
Add?
Subtract?
Go James Hinchcliffe (about time!!)
I think one of them is wrong. Probably Add. :)
Exponents?
:D
exponential. Which is order in BODMAS
as in squared, cubed etc.
Ohh I don't even know what that is. :)
Ahh!
:)
Aren't they an awesome band?
I can try...
Bad news: I'm having trouble finding a contact method for RubberGoat.
Good news: While waiting for stuff to load, I've already got back to 2005...
It's extremely cool how with twitter's popularity you can reach out to photographers really easily now, especially for someone like yourself. :)
The need to take sunscreen broke the seal on my see through carry on liquids bag. I found a replacement sandwich bag, i hope its the right size :)
Well i think it's safe to say my day has just been made. <3 f1 togs chatting to me, no matter how small the conversation :)
I mean unless it's an infinite sequence in which case I probably don't have the time ;)
BOOM MATHS JOKE!
Woooohoo! :D
at my school it was BEDMAS :)
I will admit we said BIDMAS
:D
@andy_hone_snapa
@f1_lou Just play it cool Lou and keep taking nice pics ;-)
:D
gonna go dance around the kitchen now.. :P
I sent you a DM on Twitter...
Just remember to breath and eeeek to your heart's delight ;)
Indicies actually seems the most sensible word to me... But it was O for us.
I like order. It keeps me in order from such scary words as indicies and exponent.
Although you could say they are squarey words...
I have done question 1 :D
Clearly I had forgotten my BIDMAS after all....
...and Twitter's obviously doing a go-slow on me because the DM count hasn't updated. It should appear in the next 2 hours but thank you for reassuring me that a method of contacting you does indeed exist.
OK so you guys said Exponents, and now I have this song in my head: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otFyKXje9Eg
Ehhhh....
If all else fails, I'll get someone to morse code it to you ;)
Ah, maybe that one is to be avoided then...
I'm so there!
Interesting valet service
Well done :)
:)
Well Order is what I learned and it's where orders of magnitude comes from that people know in real life... However I think it's avoided these days ebcause it makes people think, "hold on this list is supposed to make me remember the order and now one of the things is order *brain splodes*"
It just makes me sad because I'm sure I could do all this very easily when I was at school.... I might just go back there instead.
I will come back to you. Also uni maths is nothing like school maths.
Agreed. Totally different and much more interesting!
Yeah there is a huge oddness about trying to do any of these school things. I do find that maths is a bit easier for me because I do quite a bit of it in my job.
I was using Sin and Cos just last week for example.
does it involve more drinking?
I can't believe how short of Safety Cars 2004 was in retrospect...
Given this £10 note, and using only the bar provided, what is the largest number of drinks that can be purchased?
including water? quite a few.
Definitely.
My Fridays were spent madly finishing assignments and then trying to outdrink the geologists and law students!
Yes :)
I'm going to try and do lots of practice before I start. Bit embarrassing being shown up by spotty 18 year olds.
Water probably isn't served in the Mathematical Bar...
just read this which brought things flooding back
Another one for the book of ugly liveries me thinks
http://yfrog.com/h4x0azj
This is how Mr C reads this...
hehehehe!!
Depends on whether the purchaser is female or not. If female, then she doesn't need that note 'cause she'll be able to get guys to buy her drinks.
;)
:D :D :D
i like that one.
I found Nemo!!
Look how ORANGE it is!!!!!
I don't think we ever had factorials in the exponent. #impressed
Ouch - no Karun in Sepang this weekend. Davide Valsecchi will sit in for Heikki in FP1...
♥
oh dear.
I saw that too.
Lugaw??? HOW?? :D Sarap! (Or in English, delicious!) :)
All packed! Then i stood on my bathroom scales with my bag on my head. I think Tonys scales will be more accurate.
Would i look strange if i wore my rain jacket when its not raining? Ie inside the airport? Its the bulkiest thing in there and id like it out :)
I suspect the recipe was passed on to the cafeteria from a colleague?
I got told the O in BODMAS meant "order" as in "anything which was meant to influence the order in which stuff got done", of which exponentials were merely one possibility (the original example was the line in the middle of fractions).
Yes, but everybody looks strange in airports :)
I always look like a total idiot when I fly. It's normally about 3 below here so I'm wandering around Dubai airport with jumpers and fluffly coats and everything. You just get used to it after a while.
excellent, jacket stays on! More pockets that way too :)
I suspect so. :D Must've been a Filipino friend. ;) How was it?
Hemispherical travel always requires a strange and wrong outfit at some point in the journey...
Really yummy - like a warm savoury rice pudding. Perfect as it's quite cold today :)
While I realise that, yes, Lotus have an extensive young driver programme, but this definitely putting Karun on the naughty step following Australia
Well you can't blame them really.
even if im flying somewhere hot to somewhere hot i always get cold on planes so wear too much onboard :)
You think he'll get another chance or has he totally blown it?
even before australia they said the young drivers would get a go though
with that many drivers, he may not get another chance until India.
Interesting liveries, part 2
It'll be hard to miss Justin Wilson at this weekend's IndyCar race
http://twitpic.com/4h82l4
Exactly. Easy enough to take off that extra jumper should you get cold. Hate trying to sleep on a cold plane!
I had never heard of the acronym BODMAS until today. Or maybe I had, when I was in middle school or something... quite a long time ago.
Toothpaste!
I think he'll be back in, but maybe not until Europe. If they're giving Valsecchi a seat, then they'll set a session aside for Luiz Razia too
I'd like to see Alexander Rossi get a session as well. But they might have more young drivers than sessions available by now :)
i cant sleep on planes at all, its amazing i looked as awake as i did when i gor to london!
Thinking Rossi in FP1 during Canada... makes sense from a marketing point.
whoops, nevermind, he's not a reserve driver. He's in their young driver program.
The GP2 drivers wont be able to take part in the european races, so canada aside its just the next 2 races until singapore
He's had GP2 experience - I'm sure they could put him in for a little drive
;)
That laura girl is gaining likes and comments fast. Panic!
Have you googled her?
Blimey they are all very recent aren't they....
That's because AirAsia is only promoting the new photos now...
I hope so. Hope he doesn't pull a Chandhok, though, if given a chance :)
shes not a new photo she went up the same day as me
one of her friends posted on air asias wall to ask when it was being drawn and it was a brand new account with one friend. I dont know anyone else who i can make get a facebook for me (thanks steven) and i refuse to cheat and make fake ones!
Ah ok. I just see Air Asia updates with what looks like the 3 newest photos in my feed.
heh no should i?
I wish Christine could give F1 photographers points... :)
But the line in the middle of fractions is divison no? Which hapens after exponentials?
Heh... I've just been reading more about this... Apparently people get confused because of course multiply and divide are equal promience and as are add and subtract...
So...
What does 10 - 3 + 2 =?
People who learnt the Aunt Sally method apparently think the answer is 10 - 5 = 5...
So a new nemonic has been worked out
Pandas! The person who came up with that is Danica McKellar as in the actress who played Winnie Cooper in the Wonder Years... Who also writes Maths text books... Yes the world is quite strange: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danica_McKellar
Maybe you can find out where she gets her votes from.
someone commented to say shes a great tutor so im assuming a large university network
The line in the middle of fractions takes precedence over division done within each line - it's a bit like vertical brackets. But horizontal brackets (even crossing multiple lines of a fraction) still take precedence.
clive mason would need a billion for making me stop worrying about how to get to the sepang circuit fro. Our hotel :)
Wow i can tell i turned off autocorrect. From. The word is from.
is it being over simplistic to suggest each bit be written on a new line? that way when executed in linear order everything works out fine and no-one gets confused.
i swear education is designed to be deliberately confuse, to give people something to do.
:)
RubberGoat, Safety Car statistics from 2002 to 2010 inclusive are on their way to you :)
Try factoring an equation written like that?
I do think that a lot of the time simplifying things tends to can make things more complicated
so put it inside a function?
really, people should just learn to code. not only is maths really easy that way, but they'd have a job at the end of it :)
The problem really comes when people blindly apply rules without understanding to back them up.
Wow! Thanks!
thing is, i've learnt to break things down to the simplest form and then comment every line so people know what's going on and why. that way no-one is excluded (assuming the can read).
although you could even get a screen-reader to read stuff out to you too. why design a form a communication that only a select few can understand if they remember and only if they remember all the rules and put stuff in the right order.
asking for trouble.
You're welcome :)
I guess so. I've not really thought about it. Doing operations in the right order is natural to me. I guess to understand any language you need to understand basic rules about the way it's written.
Assuming the language involved is completely unambiguous (the number of times people failed to do this in IT, let alone other walks of life, was pretty shocking)...
poor programmers. but probably their heads are full of craazy maths stuff :)
Or, given that a fair few of them were sixth-form students, their heads may have been full of girls/boys, creative ways to avoid coursework and parties...
BEER!
Even though they were underage, yes!
it tastes better that way.
I'll take your word for it...
Well yes... The thing is Maths is a programing language but where every operation is a variable.
E = MC2 is amazingly useful and the ability to rearange all of the working parts is a large part of the usefulness...
true. i just think someone missed an opportunity to teach it in a more sensible way.
Have you guys read the book called "E=mc2"? It's a fascinating book about all the parts of the equation and how it was discovered...
No - nearest I've got is "Albert Einstein for Dummies" (yes, such a book exists).
Indeed... You (and I) are just really lucky that Algol and C came along. If we'd been programing in APL derived languages I think we'd have very different views on the matter...
This is the code in APL to pick 6 numbres from 0 to 40 and put it in a variable:
x[⍋x←6?40]
PING RG: http://store.sauberf1team.com/pub/index.php?l=en
maths' problem is that it has no competition. it needs a rival to undersell it with a smaller learning curve. as soon as it gets wind of the takeup it'll go to great lengths to win back mindshare :)
:)
I'm going to solve the big bang with this new maths on rails
Chinese/Japanese maths looks like that competitor.

A new save icon? http://www.ironicsans.com/2011/04/idea_a_new_save_icon.html
I like the idea, even though I don't know much about baseball I don't see that being too big an issue...
That's terribly confusing to someone like me. A hard drive symbol would be more accurate these days.
probably a better idea would be for documents to autosave on every change and then offer a lengthy history of revisions you can roll back against. lightroom does this. you never 'save' or lose a document.
until this very moment id never even thought about how obselete that icon is. Mind blown.
doesn't exist on mac's for that reason. i think maybe missing for the past 10 years?
That's because we know what a floppy is. Now the only floppy I own is a coaster on my desk!
*except in micorosoft office, of course.
OpenOffice can autosave and even do revisions, but it still has a save icon for those times when you want to save duplicate copies or have forgotten to put the autosave directory anywhere memorable.
kids don't. they have no idea what happened to the A and B drives.
I've got 10... ...in a box that I keep because it has a Jordan logo on it.
I saw a cute video a few months ago with some French toddlers who were given old technology like cassettes, record players etc. and asked the kids what they were. They took the 3.5" Floppy, pulled back the metal protector and said "This is a camera"...
No idea why they'd go with a baseball thingy - next to no one outside the States plays the game
:D
I have to admit I never knew why they were called floppy. They;re made of rigid plastic,
floppy on the inside.
Indeed... I do think there needs to be a way of marking a revision better. A la forking and merging... I know this concept is too programery for most people but that's what leads people into trouble... I want to make a version of this for whatever causes them to make a copy and then work on that copy or worse leave things open without pressing save until they are sure.
Not quite true. Could be learned though.
5-1/4" were in fact floppy.
I'm not learning a whole new game to replace some silly icon for no reason :P
lightroom will do virtual copies, but not sure it can merge again later on.
you say it sista!!
;)
The original ones (which I remember using on Dad's first computer) were properly floppy. 5.25" and only 360KB of capacity unless they were double-sided. Big enough for 2-3 games per side. Blissful times...
Yeah... In a way it would be fine if you were able to mark revisions with a comment... But you know what that's like regular users would have millions of versions that they couldn't distinguish between.
Also, indicating unsaved state through dirtying breaks the convention that colour should not be the only determinant of status change.
I may be remembering this wrong but isn't the hardness of floppy discs something to do with Steve Wozniack?
Heikki keeps tweeting about an ice cream place. I feel its only right to check it out in kl. Mmm. Ice cream.
Heikki must have good tastes :)
Kimi syndrome is spreading I see
:D
Right, all pre flight activity complete, now for 5 hours sleep!
Then i will return to live comment the trip to the airport...the journey through the airport...breakfast at the airport...
I bet you cant wait :)
Have a good rest, Amy!
You can tell I have work to do.... Can't help but pester Nick!! :D
night amy
See ya Amy!
Oh dear - 30 minutes left in work and I'm exhausted
:(
Someone's got some STANKY food in the kitchen. Which is unfortunately RIGHT OUTSIDE MY CUBE.
oh dear.... i hope you haven't sought gladiatorial revenge yet
:o
Not yet.
Something like that might get me fired, though, and I don't want that to happen 'cause they're paying to move me and my family to Colorado :)
Fair enough.
Hello all. I've had a mild headache all day at work.
I've decided it's because I have had no Guinness since Boston
#Guinnessisgoodforyou
That's probably it :)
Armadillos!
definitely
Hello all. Just dropped in to say that I can't stay.
Working for a living is over rated.
Really, really excited for the next race though.
Tire (tyre) wear anyone? And our first view of wets and inters?
*rubbing my hands with glee*
Eyeteaguy
Tyre wear sounds like it could be a bit tougher than Melbourne, so I'm guessing at 3 stops for most if it's dry.
I think we'll see wets in at least one practise session and/or qualifying but not the race.
i haven't had any since you left either. where are you going next?
Is now a bad time to admit that I've never had Guiness
I think you'll need to ask Bassano. He's in charge of Sidepod International ;). TBH I wouldn't be incredibly upset to go back to Boston at some point. Such friendly people & great food.
I've never had it either. Don't want to try it.
It just means you have the delight of trying it to look forward to
Hmmmm
it would be a shame if bassano made you, wouldn't it?
nope. all the more for me.
Denver, CO. has a much more awesome beer selection than Boston.
;)
I was a bit concerned about being exiled until I'd gone over the road and had a pint.
Everyone is welcome regardless of what they drink. Sidepodcast is alcohol inclusive (and teetotal inclusive too). Although don't make me drink lager
I might go buy a bottle of rose. Alternative Sidepoddrink
it's not an infinite resource, and i'm not done with it yet :)
pink wine is good
I can vouch for that personally. :)
Have you ever had a Baltic Porter? Most of them today are actually lager's (ie, brewed with lager yeast instead of Ale yeast).
But I'm not a big fan of lager either. I'm an Ale man all the way!

No, I do drink white beer like Hoegaarden but real ale or Guinness is my favourite
Speaking of drink, some IndyCar fans took the opportunity of being in Florida to drink the 11 countries of Epcot :) http://www.drunkchicane.com/drinking/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Hoegaarden white is awesome (and an Ale ;) )
Off now to sing Messiah and think of beer mmmm
Have fun.
#Ishouldbeworking
Hoegaarden is a favourite of mine too.
I loved that, too.
?
teetotaler. Thanks allergies.
Christine's Rankings this evening, so if you lovely people have suggestions please throw them at me :)
I think I could live a happy teetotal life. You just get used to it after a while.

Points for everyone :p
Happy Birthday Andy T.
I think Disco Dan sacrificing a race in another series to try and make his way in F1 is points worthy: http://www.foxsports.com.au/motor-sports/formula-one/red-bull-and-toro-rosso-formula-one-test-driver-daniel-ricciardo-to-miss-opening-formula-renault-round/story-e6frf3zl-1226033861154
I also just realised that Dan was on the list despite not having a race seat and I wanted him to have a point :)
Point for Force India for @EmBuxton 's explanation of how the @clubforce account is working, which turned out to be quite cute?
And of course a reminder to give points to everyone in the Japan video.
Plus a point for Narain for being witty despite being jetlagged at 5 am (annoyingly Twitter has lost the evidence, but the incident occurred on Friday.
Drivers get on the list when they drive in a session, so Friday drivers being added as and when.
Wow! How did I get that through with so many links...
Aha :)
And does Sutil get points for having a Cricketing Doppelgänger?
http://www.espncricinfo.com/page2/content/story/509535.html?CMP=OTC-RSS
I'm trying to help those at the bottom of the list :)
Just browsed some news; makes me sad to see Ross Brawn reduced to giving excuses for so long. Reminds me of Ken Tyrrell, who after Stewart left was pretty much done with the front row of the grid, although Scheckter kept them up high for a year or so. Not that I'm writing Ross off, just looks familiar.
Can someone help an old guy and tell me how to incorporate text from a comment I'm replying to into my reply?
How are you commenting? Are you on the Daily post itself? Or are you using http://sidepodcast.com/realtime/ or http://sidepodcast.com/dashboard/
Realtime.
Are you in Dashboard? If so, single-click the text and it should appear in the reply box where your cursor is (or at the start of the reply if no cursor is present).
Otherwise, copy and paste the relevant text into the reply and put < blockquote > blockquote > around it (removing the spaces).
Ah in that case it's pretty straightforward... After you press reply you can either click on the bit of text you want to quote which will bring it in. Or click on the person's name to bring the entire comment in.
ooh, i thought you meant you saw janna drink lager.
Very little chance of that, I think. :)
Oh my! Many thanks! :-)
because we don't use wordpress anymore.
Ah :)
yay :)
i wanna give a massive shoutout to the lovely christine, who's working very hard editing the joe show, why i try out new tech stuff.
*biiiiig hugs cause she's awesome*
Awwww :)
Eh? But your post editor thingy is the wordpress one?
yep. not the comments though.
Ah ok.
and not the post editor soon. although i'm caught up doing lots of interesting things unrelated to programming at the moment. sooner wordpress is out of my life the better though.
Wordpress is just a pretty front end these days.
I can't stand the post editor. I'm writing my Dailies in Live Writer and then copy/pasting the HTML over...
good plan. that'll still work in future too.
For the rare blog posts I did/do, I always write it locally and commit it to subversion with an almost insane zeal.
"commit early, commit often" is my motto!
goes back to the conversation we had about saving earlier.
Watch this awesome goal QUICK before it gets taken off YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xyobvv-HbHI&feature=youtu.be
Some of the developers here can go a day or two without commiting changes. At least one has had to recover from backup because they did something stupid and hadn't committed for like 2 days.
Committing often allows me to do stupid things often.
Woah.... Was that the halfway line?? Goalie goalie goalie....
Looks like it. Great shot!
Can't really fault the keeper for that, stunning hit.
Yeah really good shot. No way you should score with that though. Just look at the keeper running about all confused. You can't run out like that unless you're sure you're gonna catch the ball.
wooohooo!
he had to come out, defender was beaten.
Ahh i love inter milan... what a fabulous goal fron dejan :D
It's also a pretty decent clearance, for a header, and a keeper.
Same here ... They are my Grandad's team so I have always tried to follow them when I can...
Evening all
The first rule of the keepers union is you never blame another keeper.
Great strike. You can see him shape his body to hit it long before the ball gets near him.
Me and a friend have always had a rivalry with the milans. Whenever we played console football manager he would always be AC Milan and I would always be Inter and its since passed onto FIFA :) they're our italian teams if you will.
Not good enough eh ;)
I guess it's easy to say looking at it after, but he'd have been better staying in his goal and trying to save the first shot. I just always think coming out if you can't get your hands on the ball turns it into a game of pot luck. If it goes wrong, you're well out of your goal.
To an extent. He should have put it nearer the touchline rather than straight up the middle
Nah, thats the second rule. The first rule is its always the defenders fault.
That's awesome :)
darn tootin'! (And I say that as someone who regularly played both keeper and fullback)

Haven't decided yet. Am open to suggestions as always though
Evening all, just lurking until the football's done
Hello 5.45am. Its malaysia day!
Hi Amy, safe and happy travels to you
Neither did I ;)
I will post more this year - but only small posts and only if there is something interesting. I'm not going to paste the same thing after every race...
Have a great flight :)
Oooh look Steven is winning!!
WHAT!
Is Kathi not playing???
This is what I hear:
"Where am I then? ... ... ... not on page one... ... ..."
My top scorer was Buemi... #saysitall
I see you Mr C 36th
I downloaded team lotus notes to read on the flight and it gave me an ipad specific version. Now thats smart!
bah, the man who sets up the league is leading. coincidence?
Seems only fair. And temporary
ooh, need!
Is that such a surprise? ;)
#SorryMrC
Just noticed we now have 100 teams in our league

Holy frijoles, I'm #2 in Fantasy WRC!!
I haven't done anything other than F1 this year. Which is pretty stupid since the WRC one was my best by a mile last year
Right, off to get my tram. Live commenting starts here!
The whole journey? :D
yippee.
Can't wait!
Football Manager story PING
http://toata.wordpress.com/2011/04/05/174-the-great-football-manager-rivalry/
Continuing the realtime conversation in a more appropriate place:
Sorry, I wasn't intending on starting a debate on the inadequacies of formats on SPC. Just stating that the post looked strange.
It's fine, but if you compare it to the "this is our living room" thing, it's like coming in and taking root in an armchair, then complaining about the view, even though we've suggested the view from the sofa might be better.
Me and Lou spoke about this over the weekend after her daily was published but mr c has said for a long long time realtime is wayyyyy behind the rest of the site so I guess for me personally I've always accepted the wierd formatting that appears sometimes on realtime and the recommended viewing of posts is better on the post itself or on the dashboard.
hehe. the problem with this conversation is it always ends with me saying "please can i switch off realtime now, it's the worst thing about sidepodcast" and everyone else saying "noooooo".
#groundhogday
If you make the dashboard have resizeable widths so it works with two columns on my netbook, that's fine with me ;)
I use realtime, but whenever I want to read a post I go to the post and read it.
As for sofa vs. armchair, I prefer the armchair because that means I'm not sitting next to anyone else! :)
that's certainly on the cards, yup.
I think the term 'better' is subjective in this instance.
I wouldn't have mentioned it if I had known it was a realtime only issue
[And I realise the answer to that is 'did you look?']
And that's fine too. If people are adamant about sitting in the armchair, so be it, but there can't be complaints when a spring or two pops out :)
my word hello yesterday #odd
noooooooo
What a strangely appropriate metaphor :D
it truly is the worst idea ever, but this isn't a conversation i'm ever going to win. maybe we should just find time to update it. damn monsterous realtime thingy.
These metaphors are blowing my mind!
Will never make another negative comment about the wondererous realtime ever again
To divert attention, I am struggling to believe that the Fantasy Racers team that I carefully selected using all the analysis of Friday practise has scored a desultory 164 points - 43 more than the team that was deliberately selected to score as few points as possible with a full complement of drivers!
Do you want me to shake my fist at it for you?
yes please. on behalf of the rest of the lovely site :)
It's pure genius!!
I did use the dashboard for a whole day last week actually to give it a good try. I did mean to give it a bit longer and get used to it properly but then I forgot...
Dear realtime,
REALTIME!!!! *shakes fist*
Yours,
the 21st century
Dashboard is great for certain scenarios and even if the section manipulation works for the iPad and netbooks, it's still only single thread.
[Rant over, moving on]
It was a great idea.
It WAS.
Best ever, in fact
[Oops, goes back to being done]
It is still great.
Causes more problems than it ever solved, particularly as 99% of the conversation happens in the daily anyways.
But, as Mr C said, it's not an argument we can win, and I have a show to edit.
Talk later peeps.
thank you :)
I've just realised I mistped that. I meant the carefully-selected team had 43 fewer points than the deliberately-rubbish team (my mistake with the rubbish team was to put all the rookies in it, one of whom was Paul di Resta...)
It's not - the dashboard is much better.
Look forward to the show.
If you ever get hold of a time machine suggest getting rid of realtime before breakout threads and see what happens :D
Think I may have quoted the wrong comment. Sorry,
Can mr c code at 88 mph?
Also Steven, I note your "Better than last year" team is better than last year ;)
wild a scary idea would be to bounce realtime into it's own domain sidepodcastconversation.com and then get the site back to being a site. it's a debate for another day when we're way less busy though.
:D
heheheh. i wish/
*wild and scary.
I remember the chaos before realtime stopped allowing you to a post in a thread you weren't viewing
And the naughty step resulting from it :)
real.tears.
Put it on the list with an asterisk next to it, in red, bold and italics
I like this idea, can you tell?
now at bus station. Where i can sit :)
On the bus ;)
good, but there are lots of questions. what happens to daily posts etc. it's not simple, but it's a possible solution and we don't have free time anyhow.
Should Christine be buying a domain just in case? :)
hehehehehehe!!
Everything gets posted on the appropriate single page at Sidepodcast.com
SPC-Conversations doesn't allow posting of threads, just replies and chat
In time, of course
I don't know what this solves, mind you
Just seems like you want it banished from SPC.com
Poor Spurs. Been a bit of a nightmare for them tonight.
on the bus! Remembered my last thought before sleep was i needed to grab a pen this morning. I didnt grab a pen. I hope pamela has one.
I'm sure they sell pens at the airport, both Melbourne and KL
Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, we'll be going to APOEL Nicosia, que sera sera.
i'm just not sure where threadless, random conversation fits in. it's fun, but it reduces the purpose of the rest of the site, i think. if people aren't reading guest posts, they'll stop writing them etc. needs more thought. lots more.
i don't want to buy one when i have millions at home :) stupid customs cards.
Ask if you can email it to them ;)
Never mind Spurs, what about Inter???
Haha, good point. See if it was football manager, I'd sort them out. ;)
Airport probably has pens
Oh, I didn't mean threadless, just a way of interacting with the site viewing all threads at once which is why we love the Doohickey.
I suppose the only answer is to get round to adjusting it to your requirements when the time is right
Bad day to be from Group A.
Is that all it's for? You can borrow one on the plane off the stewards normally.
Tell them to like your pic, while you are there :)
i always feel rude doing that, i like to be in charge of my own writing destiny :D
Hah! No point paying £3 for an airport pen though eh....
Then buy one, unless Pamela is part of that destiny too
They normally give out pens for this on the plane don't they?
Do low cost airlines invest in pens too?
Where do you shop for pens, Harrods?
I think 'give out' and 'on the plane' have been permanently separated, at least for our domestic travel. Not sure about real airlines.
Everything's expensive at the airport!! ;)
I'm sure they would have A pen you could at least use.
I read all posts but the only way to monitor all comments as they come in is realtime. Normally I have realtime on my first tab set to the daily and any other 'active' posts in adjoining tabs. I use realtime to monitor all comments and to respond to daily comments. All responses to other posts are done in the individual posts.
Go through the departure lounge and point out to everyone with an iphone that they could like your pic
agreed. the question is, if realtime were a separate site you could go to and just comment all day everyday about stuff. would that be a bad thing. then go to sidepodcast to comment on shows or posts.
Surely making it a separate site increases the chances of people not contributing posts.
Some folk find stuff from the Dailies but there's no reason why it couldn't be done.
Keeps the Main Site more relevant. But I still think you'd have the same cross-contamination, personally.
Forcing 2 windows/tabs probably won't be popular either
It would have to include ALL posts, which is why I think it defeats the purpose
speaking of which i hadn't checked that this morning. 247! A girl at work is going to get her mums church group to like it. People are so kind :)
no. i'm saying NO POSTS. just a long list of endless comments.
Isn't that a step back in time?
How large would it be, how would anyone find anything mentioned in passing, how would you link to anything else?
You want your own twitter?
:D
heheheh. fair point.
speaking of irrelevant comments, i am at the airport! Almost at my stop. I wonder how far away pamela is.
do airports have a headping?
If only there was a way of finding out ;)
sms has been sent :) she is 5 minutes away, still on the freeway :)

heeh!
bag weighed 6kg. Take that 7kg limit!
you should get a discount for everything under.
(13 lbs for those playing along in the US)
Or be forced to use ballast
Maybe that's how they won last year, underweight aeroplanes
That threw me at Logan. I knew my bag weighed 14kg and the scales said 29.5. Fortunately I remembered that the US had backed away from that newfangled metric nonsense ;)
hehe Eddie Izzard described it best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XctQZ_jOPno
My favorite bit is at 1:15.
A handy tip, when importing photos into your 'puter from your camera. Ensure your memory card is inserted in your camera, not your iPad adaptor
Or do it when you are not jetlagged, either one is fine
*gets my free pencil from IKEA to jot that down for if I ever get an iPad.

i got $69.73 back for my ipad tax refund
You got a tax refund on it?
*confused face*
yep tourist refund scheme rules :D

Hi Pamela
Hi Pamela,
Do you have a pen? Apparently it is important
hehe
They should have grand prixs in easy to spell places. Like Wales, UK, Chile and Malta.
Crofty: The pilot has just told us that the flight has been delayed because a passenger was too drunk to board. Haven't seen @NataliePinkham, hmmm?
Hi guys. We found pens. I look forward to going to malalaysia :)
We will take lots of pics lou ;)
also Togo. so then me and mr c can make geeky goto Togo jokes
hehehehehehe
:D
seconded.

what an awesome picture!
Special credit to Scott who came into town on that day solely to have that picture taken
Win!
Yes, big ups to Scott.
that deserves a post! could you knock together a couple of lines in a comment or email and i'll get to it tonight/tomorrow?
We were planning something a bit more... thorough, if that's ok
Oh mannnn my assignment is toooo hard!! I really must make time to go to my tutorials next time #stupidjob
Unless you want a prelude [though I think waiting a few days would be better]
oooh, certainly!
If you go onto twitter.com it seems to load a bunch of random tweets from random people. Odd.
Estimated 64 hours to upload the rest of my music to Amazon cloud drive thingie.
I predict that Amazon will kill the product in 65 hours because of all the stupid media companies and their lawyers.
#winning!
fight the power! i can't see it's any different from dropbox, how can they kill it?
I was quiet/lurking because I was doing this:
Ping game scores - http://toomuchracing.com/2011/04/05/tmr-game-2011-week-11/
You do realise it's media companies we're talking about here?
The ways of lawyers and media companies make no sense to, you know, people with brains.
Quick ping about Spurs... http://northernwaffler.wordpress.com/2011/04/05/five-footballing-stages-of-grief/
With that I'm off here till Friday, so catch ya's then.
See you on Friday and have a good few days!
its not cheating the system it's just the way customs works here. You can get tax back on any purchase over $300 made within 30 days of your flight. Ps i hate this airport i never get reception :(
Nice post, uses the scrubs example well :)
See ya RG.
Have fun till then
Assuming it's productivity related. Good luck RG
Off someone or busy? Have fun..
Is that the same for Australians?
Tons of work/revision to do this week for school, so gotta get it done.
Ah, no sneaking back then.
I updated my blog sidebar with events for the next fortnight, I don't think I've seen it so busy :)
http://toomuchracing.com/
How is that different from normal?
As in random people who you dont follow.
I mean in your actual twitter feed. Not the generic twitter log in.
good lord.
Daily is done.
Actually it was done half an hour ago but I edited it twice to add the links I saw after I had finished it.
Can all you lovely people not finish your blog posts before I do? ;)
yes applies to residents too although if its over $900 they'll tax you on your way back into the country so there is no point
hehehe, rankings is coming up i think and so is joe, but after midnight. #sorrygavin
Just seen in RT:
We’re temporarily disabling #NewTwitter. Our engineers are working on re-enabling it. We'll send an update once the issue is resolved. - @Support
Already have a contingency for that by adding category links ;)
My point is, aren't you a resident?
Initial offering of SidepodBoston pics. Will do some more tomorrow but there'll be here

I'm glad I'm still on Old Twitter :)
You don't want me to sleep, do you?
ooh I forgot how twitter used to look.
Sorry :)
yes i am a resident. And residents can use the tourist refund scheme because we're tourists of wherever we're going.
Still weird but refunds are always good :D
taking 5 minutes to post each comment is so infuriating I'll say goodbye til I'm on the plane. And the plane has just arrived, i can see it out the window :)
Sounds like the craziest scheme in the world.
Here we go, ping: http://sidepodcast.com/post/a-week-in-which-everyone-could-get-a-christines-rankings-point
Our tax refund scheme is as good as useless. Basically no retailers are part o it here.
No Alistair or airport WiFi?
#sorryGavin :)
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Oops :)
Is the other one coming soon? I'll wait to add it if it is...
Just gathering some team points.
Mr C, I'm guessing you won't be upgrading but there's a rumour that a new Final Cut Pro is being released next week
http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/05/apple-to-introduce-new-final-cut-pro-on-april-12th/
why won't i be upgrading? i allocated the money and spent it twice in anticipation. although if it's not awesome, i'm moving to aftereffects.
General megabucksness
But:
Earlier this year, Apple invited individuals including Final Cut Pro author Larry Jordon to a hands on. Jordan describes what he can of the preview meeting:
I've Seen The New Version of Final Cut Pro... and it's a jaw-dropper
Of course he would say that - it's an apple thing
have upgraded twice already, i need it for my job. pro video is expensive, just the way it is. still cheaper than a set of lights :)
It's very unusual for any Apple staff to comment on an unreleased product. When they say stuff like this, they're not often wrong
[could also be a permitted statement]
Fair points
wifi costs money and alistair was sacrificed for ipad on this trip :(
it's not that. lots and lots of people are dumping fcp pro due to lack of updates (due to iphone taking over). he's playing for time, hoping we don't all jump ship.
Which is why I think it was an authorised statement
Done! http://sidepodcast.com/post/f1-takes-to-the-streets-as-the-team-rankings-hots-up
And it is still Tuesday. I rock.
agreed
w00t! now go to bed! xx
OK - just thinking that Apple always use words like 'wonderful' ' amazing', 'ground breaking' etc.
could be.
Goodnight to the SidepodTowers duo
Cheers ;)
no, no christine has to be up early. am listening back to joe.
