The end of the first month of the new year is upon us and we will rapidly be heading into February. Supposedly, Honda's deadline is today, but they've been playing that down all week, so let's see what else is going on:
- A great debate kicked off in the comments over the penalties applied to motorsport. Should race results be adjusted after the fact if a team or driver is deemed to be illegal? Have your say, if you haven't already.
- It appears that Mike Gascoyne has taken to the courts to try and squeeze some money out of Force India for the remaining year of his torn up contract. Surely there would have been some get out clause in there somewhere, or will Vijay simply end up paying out?
- Lou has created another Spot the Difference game. There seems to be a little confusion over how many exact answers there are, but if you get anywhere from ten upwards, you're doing pretty well.
- It was Sidepodcast Diaries day yesterday, and this week's video is all about Ron's admission that he will be turning up to races. Not really a surprise, but why didn't he just admit that in the first place?
It's a glorious Saturday, so please let us know what you are doing over the weekend, especially if it's anything exciting. If it's not, I still want to know, because I'm nosy like that. Get chatting in the comments, and I'll see you there.
just found a cool feature on the doohickey. wasn't intentional, but it works quite well, and may need some expansion.
if you have the realtime page open and have to go out somewhere, put your computer to sleep with the browser window still open.
upon returning, wake the computer up again and as soon as doohickey finds an internet connection it will proceed to download all of the comments you've missed, in the correct order.
the trick is not to reload the page, just let it do it's thing. also if you shut your machine down, it'll close the browser window so this works best if you have a laptop and just close the lid.
hopefully that makes sense, do let us know if its useful at all.
There may well have been a clause in Mr Gascoyne's contract. But if there wasn't, then I can see this case getting messy and financially painful.
Ron probably didn't admit he was going to all the races because he wanted to know if any of us would figure it out first.
To reply to the Soundbytes (since I'm not on identi.ca), not only are Force India press release happy at the moment, but they've got a presence on Twitter as well. They seem to be very serious about this Web 2.0 stuff...
franck news:

controversial :)
Sounds quite strange. Given the way information moves on the internet, surely taking down content that's been put up has a diminishingly small effect the longer it's left? And if it's not clear what was up that shouldn't have been, how many sites are going to find themselves with broken links?
not a clue. mentioning it is just brining attention to the issue too.
As for what I'm doing this weekend:
- doing some job applications
- putting some products into the shop I've just opened (warning: shop currently contains nothing to purchase whatsoever)
- visiting Grandma at least once
- swimming
- lots of reading and playing on the computer (probably, knowing what I'm like)
it's a start though :)
I'm still playing GPM2, and after heartbreak in Canada when engine failure ruined a podium, I dropped di Resta in favour of (yes, wait for it) Danica Patrick, and it worked, we are now on 8 points, Wilson with 3 and Patrick on her debut got 4th posistion.
yay!
YAY!

Found 10 - how many are there ?
I'm pretty sure there are 11 but i've only managed to find 8. I guess I must look harder.
I use this feature all the time on the iPhone. It's what makes that experience work because it is always locking which is like it going to sleep.
So I use it a lot!
My objectives for the weekend:
1. Listen to a month worth of F1 minute.
2. Figure out what is happening with Honda since I broke that [wrong] story at christmas time.
3. Get over jet lag. Australia is so far away. Seriously, who left it there?
4. Set up my new apartment up so life can resume a bit more normal.
5. Start thinking about work...[sigh]
Nice to be back (in some ways...)
I'll chat to you all later sometime...
i think lou said 10/11, i seem to remember that one of them could be part of another bit....
Seeing as everyones doing their objectives for the weekend....i'll bite...

Objectives since I woke up.
1. Post Mortem analysis on how Minardi went bankrupt
2. Work out stats for the gp4 league
3. Watch Soccer Saturday
4. Go down to the local corner shop and get some more tissues since I have the sniffles

I don't like that idea ;) I think I've got loads of tissues anyway, better have. It's cold outside.
Why are there 2 Rosbergs? ;)
Shh, the Williams one shoulda been Nakajima.
you coulda said :)
welcome back sir ;)
He probably wrote something that wasn't 'aligned' with the 'key messages'. PR and marketing types get frightfully het up when people deviate from the timetable – it nixes their strategy.
that is dedication!
you might have issues participating this weekend, because there may not be a live show on sunday. don't be mad / disappointed / pleased. more soon.
p.s. we're not getting married again.
...And the paint's peeling off of my walls. [sic]
Name that tune.
:D
There goes the rumour mill then
drivers and their blogs eh?
talking of which:

that's what he sings? i had no idea.
a moment that perfectly encapsulates my life - googled the lyrics, found the video on youtube, christine in the background says: "is that the sugababes?"

Good luck in getting rid of the illness.
p.s. we’re not getting married again. {me - 10 comments ago}
You might not be (there's plenty of time for renewing your vows later), but I've recently been informed that my brother is getting married on July 10. Luckily that makes it the Friday of the German Grand Prix, so I probably won't miss a lot.
glad you've got your prioritys right! lol
a moment that perfectly encapsulates my life - googled the lyrics, found the video on youtube, christine in the background says: “is that the sugababes?”

She's wrong. It's "Are Friends Electric?" by Gary Numan. No wonder Stuart C responded with a bunch of exclamation marks...
Hopefully we won't be associating it with KERS systems any time soon...
she is correct alia. google "freak like me" and give it a listen.

Sounds pretty normal for F1 driver response times to reader contributions.
so you where listening to the sugababes?!?! hmm..
no...
ahh, forget it :)
Though it would be funny if you suddenly got a response along the lines of, "Guten tag. I'm Nick Heidfeld and I'm typing this from Moenchengladbach Biblothek*"...
* - library
I found 12.....
Ummm...
she is correct alia. google “freak like me” and give it a listen. {me - 5 comments ago}
I did and I still don't see where that line fits into the song. Neither does LetsSingIt.com. I'm getting confused :(
first three or four seconds? keyword there was listen, not read.
freak like me... reminds me of THAT girl. :P
haha, it does too :)
All I hear in the first 3-4 seconds of "Freak Like me" is a sort of lub-lub-lub-dub, rising in pitch. I didn't even realise it was meant to be words...
I think there is some mass confusion here.
Mr C was playing the YouTube video to try and locate the words that Stuart quoted. As he was playing it, I said (much to his disgust) - "Is that the Sugababes?"
I had recognised the riff that the Sugababes sampled, and, as usual, haven't heard of Are Friends Electric.
It's not that I thought the words were in the Sugababes song, it's just that my limited knowledge of music has come to the fore again.
well, it was funny for about 60 seconds.
I think there is some mass confusion here.

Contributing to this confusion is the fact that I've never heard "Are Friends Electric?" and merely read the lyrics after typing the phrase "And the paint’s peeling off of my walls" into a lyrics search engine. I had heard "Freak Like Me", but never associated the lyrics (or the associated tune) with the song...
Mateschitz says that there's no hurry to sell Toro Rosso and:
"If there is a potential buyer, he has to guarantee to keep STR alive and have the knowledge and funding to do this."
That is good to hear, although it seems so unusual in this day and age to have someone selling without desperately going under at the same time!
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/73082
It's not like he's gonna let go of the ONLY Red Bull F1 team who's won for him so far. :P
Well you would think, but why keep on saying it is for sale then?
Because it's cheaper to just have one Red Bull team?
But you just said he's not going to let it go?
well, he will let it go, but only under the right circumstances. but in the meantime, why let go of a fully working team, a team that has won your only GP so far?
Absolutely. It's just a pleasant surprise to see a team up for sale under very calm conditions.
indeed. and to think he's been consistent in this position for some time now. well, save for one thing: he's removed the deadline. and I think that's relieved some folks in Faenza.
Righto, plan for the weekend:
(1) Go to Germany (completed)
(2) Buy Wii Fit (couldn't find it in shops :-( )
(3) Go to the outlaws for a pork roast (soon)
(4) Watch Match of the Day
(5) Catch up on A1GP and possibly watch "Lap of the Gods"
(6) Sleep - I've been sick all week and I overdid it at a client dinner on Friday (but I felt better when some people didn't show up at work the next day...)
Is anyone here not sick?
i'm healthy.
I'm not anymore :) i had 2 days off school last week, but i'm fine now :D
Only physically ;-)
hey!
Well it is winter. After I collapsed at work, I got the berserker strain of the 'flu, then I 'overdid it' at a client dinner. So I've felt awful for two weeks...
I am live commenting from Crystal Palace park where I am quite cold and watching out for dinosaurs
http://twitpic.com/19m18
Um... it's behind you.
Arrrrgggh :)
with pictures? brilliant!
Without copy and paste twitpic was the shortest link. I could find. What would be great is a photo upload tool ;) this is a joke :)
it's coming. drop.io integration from the comments... soon. not sure how we're gonna deal with the fact it's a flash uploader though :(
Is sidepodcast gonna be like the centre of the gadget universe soon?
we try :)
thing is, we currently use wordpress and it's hopeless when it comes to comments (you may have noticed), so we're developing our way around it.
I love the dinosaurs at Crystal Palace, so out of place but such a great idea
BTW: You're about 15 mins from where I'm sitting now!
Mr C: If you & Christine are compiling any show notes for tomorrow then here is the your reminder for a Miro shout out
You're not near the old racetrack perchance?
James Allen is claiming "the FIA are seriously planning to publish the weights of the cars after qualifying"
As well as ALL team radios being available to tv broadcasters!

Been moderated :-(
my favourite person!!
actually, i dont mind him now i dont have to listen to him....
the other day i was reading about the diffuser issues with legality and what not and had a moment of thinking how Steve Ryder would present it to the public, and then realised, BBC HAS F1 :D
His blog is ok ... he still claims to have access to the paddock so it's a good insight. I wasn't keen on him as a commentator but I do make time to read his posts...
fyi: had some reports google has been suggesting we're harmful. looks like it's a problem their end:
"For a period on Saturday, all search results were flagged as potentially harmful, with users warned that the site 'may harm your computer'."
"Users who clicked on their preferred search result were advised to pick another one."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7862840.stm
Aye, had that problem when trying to find my old site. Thinking, I've created this damn site, so I think I know if its harmful or not.
My flatmate is moving out and I am helping.
The good thing: She is only moving 3 houses further down the street
The bad thing: We have to do everything by foot and is -20 degree Celsius outside
objectives for tomorrow:
get warm again.
Which is why I'm staying in today and catching on TV & films
The final layout of the circuit still exists apart from a short stretch at the top, at the foot of the steps from the site of the palace.
About seven years ago the council tidied the whole park up and narrowed the width of the extant track by the concert bowl, so you could barely fit one car through it nowadays although they do hold bicycle races there. They also gave the dinosaur area a facelift because it was getting quite tatty.
I once had to lie at Gary Numan's feet (holding a microphone) for an hour and a half while he recorded an interview. But silly me had forgotten to bring my gatefold LP of I, Assassin for him to autograph!
Apparently Ferrari devised and tested a KERS system located in the nose of the car to provide better weight distribution but were put off by things like high voltage cables running through the cockpit
BOO YEAH! Pole position at Monza in BAT :D
What's a gatefold LP?
oh my, not again.
Uuuuuseless game.
That doesn't answer the question, does it? I have googled it instead.
A 12" Vinyl record in a sleeve that opens up like a book
well done :) also a well done to Alenyaa :) 3rd for Honda :D woot!
Lets be honest, I would never have got that. Thinking it may have revolved around a book...
man i feel old!
I feel young
Gonna pick up some beer and some munchies and watch Grand Prix and maybe Gumball Rally.
I remember Vinyl got a stack of 'em. Hmm maybe I'll put on a record or two just to here the little scratches and stuff.
That should say hear
Vinyl had that quality of ownership and care involving smell & tactile senses that CDs and MP3s never had. I have quite a few limited 7" & 12" singles
As much as technology has improved quality in music it has detracted in some of the 'feel' of what we listen to
I'm starting a new game with Minardi and this time instead of skipping watching the qualifying and races, I'm going to watch them so I can be a proper team manager and make active changes like bringing my guys in for tyres when the weather changes, etc. :P Australia 1998 here I come, with Shinji and Esteban in tow!
I still have a vast quantity of vinyl. Still converting a lot to 24bit FLAC.
Mostly it's 1920-1930's blues - some beautiful stuff there - sadly the vinyl is very fragile - so it's a difficult job to look after.
Hope you do better than me Scotty, considering the money on my game just kept going down, and down, and down. Till we ended up like Honda and bankrupt at the end of the second season. And we ended up winning a race with Danica Patrick. Shouldn't have dropped Justin Wilson I knew it.
Here's how I layout my screen when observing qualifying and the race.
Top left - Qualifying times/ Race order
Bottom left - Circuit map
Top right - Car data
Bottom right - Circuit conditions/data
Qualifying so far is going as expected - Tuero 17th, Nakano 20th.
Are the records made of wax? There's a tv show over here and the host is a music historian and he had a guest on a while back who brought in wax records from that era and only he handled them and he was extremely careful about putting them on the turntable.
Tuero starts 20th, Nakano 22nd and last.
Usual start then. ;)
Currently very wet, started on inters but had to bring both cars in for full wets. Currently 18th and 19th due to a mix of Newhouse retiring and a yellow flag period.
Hmm, it's only light rain but the circuit is soaked. Now 16th and 17th due to a couple more accidents.
Newhouse is Villeneurve isn't it?
Yep, Jacques Villeneuve translated into English is John Newhouse.
That was his name on the F1 '97 game coz he was too greedy to licence his real name to it...
Ah F197...
precioius memories of mini murray and mini martin puppets on screen cheat...
What a game.
The original was waaay better!
Especially with Joe Satriani as the soundtrack! :D
Wop wopwopwop wop wopwopwop wop wauuuuw!
at risk of sounding dim... who is Joe Satriani?
I feel too young now.
He's Coldplay's newest best friend as he sued them for 'stealing' vida la Vida from one of his old songs
:P
Nah, he's a very skilled American guitarist. Muse have quoted him in interviews here and there so he's good in my book ;)
He's Five pints of Awesome!
ooh ok. thanks.
now there's a fact!
Things have dried out at Melbourne and Shinji and Esteban run 12th and 13th thanks to consistent if slow running and quick tyre decisions as the conditions brightened up.
Circuit is now completely dry, sun is out and Shinji just moved to 11th.
JV was John Newhouse in a number of games, including GP3. F1 97 was different though, there he was "Driverone Williams" and in commentary was referred to as "Williams number one" and "The Canadian". "OOOOOHHHHHH HE'S HIT THE CANADIAN!" Lets see Codemasters beat THAT!
Scott, do you watch the whole race on GPM? Whenever I do, my drivers never finish. They always retire, either by crashing, spinning or some other problem. Any idea what's up with that?
I think it's just being clever. Don't have your drivers push hard in the race, especially in the smaller and slower teams.
On a sad note, a strategy mix up has seen Shinji run out of fuel! D'oh! Still, I managed to get Tuero back in to fuel up despite having to trundle round on virtually no fuel for a lap.
I might play that game if drivers didn't always always always retire when I watch the race. When I skip it, they finish.
Question on the Sidepodcast last,fm group. Will newcomers to the group have their charts added to the group once it updates tomorrow evening?
Records from the 30s would be 78rpm and made from shellac which is rather prone to shattering.
The Long Player or LP (33 and 1/3 rpm) was introduced in the late 1940s as was the competing 45rpm standard which became used for single releases. These discs are made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) - hence the name "vinyl".
LPs had the advantage of being able to contain more than a few minutes of recording on each surface - listening to a 78 recording of a symphony would require many discs and disc changes, on an LP you would be able to fit the whole piece on one disc. The word "album" comes from the 78 era when discs would be kept in photo album style books.
You're right ... he was John Newhouse in GP3!
So, Australia is done. Tuero ended the race 14th, Shinji was classified 16th and we've made a $100,000 profit. Onto preparations for Brazil.
Scott, do you have Grand Prix World? Also, any plans for later tonight? : P
Yes, I'm playing GPW right now, and maybe not, trying to cut down on XBOX lol :)
Speaking of GPW, my guys qualified 11th and 12th because they got hot laps in before the rain spoiled everyone else.
Currently tipping it down, and they're benefitting from retirements left right and centre and running 12th and 13th after an awkward first lap.
OK... back in 1996 the first official Playstation F1 game came out. Now you must remember this is back when even 3D graphics in a racing game were new... We did have an excellent game called F1 Grand Prix but as you can see, it was very basic (and we had to fill in all the names ourselves...)
So to be presented with this intro and then Joe Satriani as menu music - well, it was a massive step forward and it just blew us all away. 3D graphics, excellent detail, Murray Walker for the first time in a game and fantastic gameplay.
Quite simply one of the best ever games when it was released and it really set the standard for future games of any genre I must have wasted so much time on that game and I still think it holds it's own even today... :-)
I've been moderated for posting awesomeness :-(
You're using Sato?
Got it.
Thanks ;-)
I really didn't like the 95 F1 game. Really annoyed me for some reason, probably why I love F1 97 so much.
But that menu music is awesome.
I hate you for saying that. My world is crushed into nothingness... :-(
Interesting
Apparently 7" & 12" singles are still very popular amongst the collectors and the longest serving music carrying format ever. 2008 LP sales are reported to be the highest in the last 20 years
Not bad for a something that's over half a century old!
LP's sound the best. There's something warmer about an analogue sound vs. digital... I think it's all the unheard frequencies or something.
No doubt Mr. Roy knows the answer and will tell us how wrong we were shortly... ;-)
On occasion I've toyed with getting the Project Debut III turntable with USB
Wouldn't the Analogue to Digital conversion ruin the sound by making it too clean though?
Not even at Williams?
I am fit. Not even a karting bruise left.
I can see the batteries in the nose but the motor etc would have to be at the rear as it has to drive the rear wheels.
I expected RG not to know what it was but I would have thought Christine would be old enough to remember them.
They will be brittle if they are from that time.
It's not it should be Newtown. Hence the name of his Montreal restaurant.
No it's not ^^^
I thought album started being used in the early 70s prog rock era
Sorry but I am totally out of my depth when it comes to this sort of thing.
I've tried one of them. Not worth the money I thought.
I ended up using my Linn Sondek LP12 and a homebuilt valve phono amp going into a my PC and recording at 24bit 96khz through a modified creative labs x-fi and using home made cables.
Always record 33 1/3rpm. That means I can then keep as much detail as possible when getting the track lengths correct at a higher rpm rates - also means that there's less stress on the records.
I generally then run a level across the sides to -6db at the loundest point and then convert to FLAC and then burn to DVD, drop a copy on the media server and then onto the backup server as well. I have been known to make a DVDAudio disk as well....
I need a job...
Is anyone here not sick? {R.G}
I'm absolutely fine :)
Me too
I need a job… {Flibster - 2 comments ago}
Me too...
Batteries in the nose it was, I was being lazily concise :D
Force India are launching on March 1!
Only a month to go :)
I love that phrase. I intend to nick it and use it in future.
Force India are doing a Minardi with the late launch, clearly. They really want to be them, but there's only one Minardi! Obvious but eh, I was doing a Murray there.
I rememebr the day I found out Minardi were being sold. That really sucked :(
worse than December 5th 2008?
Haha, tough question. I'm say less bad, but only slightly. Everyone loves Minardi, except for Christine, I think she said she didn't like them.
What happened then?
I remember she joined a Minardi Fan group on Bebo. She must do :S
She doesn't like Minardi. :( Tell me you didn't cheer when Webber got fifth at the Aussie GP in 2002, the only good thing of the US GP 2005 was that Minardi were gonna get points.
Did I?
Actually, the next mini-series (or one of them) should be on teams. Ones like Minardi, Arrows, etc.
Thought you said that anyway, maybe it was Jordan?
There was Forgotton F1 teams, but how can anyone forget Minardi?
There is one: http://www.sidepodcast.com/2008/08/16/forgotten-f1-teams-omnibus/
Another series coming soon. Feel free to leave your suggestions for mini series on the wiki.
http://sidepodcast.wetpaint.com/page/Mini+Series
Did I really say I didn't like Minardi and/or Jordan? I say a lot of things so it may be true, but I can't think why.
I think you said you didn't like them because they were rubbish, which is true really.
Speaking of forgotten teams, what team would first come to mind when you think of a team that, in your mind, is/should be forgotten?
I'd say Midland, except they were so dull and soulless that I nearly forgot them......yep.
The day the F1 H-Bomb dropped
Honda confirmed immediate F1 pull out
:o!
That day did not exist. I refuse to believe there was a 'December 5th 2008'
In fact I have proof:
http://drop.io/sidepodcast/asset/dec08-jpg
hehe, brilliant!
Andrea Moda. Their attempt at running an F1 team looked more like a load of monkeys trying to get it on with a football.
:D

nice one. didn't know youtube could do that!
Boy what was I thinking a small amount of wax was used as a lubricant.
Before discs recordings were made on wax cylinders
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=tDto-CVsnt4
I had one comment with a youtube link go to moderation and the following one disappear without trace so here is attempt number three.
Before discs recordings were made on wax cylinders.
Search for wax cylinder on youtube and you should get a vid of one playing.
:D
have dug out your comment. am gonna sleep now though, go easy with those nasty youtube links.
I thought you had gone already hence the follow up comment.
Goodnight
no worries, the pic of nelson and nico was annoying me. was quietly tweaking it, hence lack of comments.
catch you in the morning.
I have erred. It was Dance, not I, Assassin that I had on gatefold. Pic to come at some point on Drop-your-wotsits.
I have the first two Blancmange albums on picture disc too.
you know she's not gonna know what one of them is either?
was it a "shaped" picture disc?
Morning all,
Has it been revealed why there is no live show tonight? I read a GMM story that said that Bibendum approached Christine and threatened to reveal the identity of Mr. C if she didn't make Bibendum the number 1 Sidepodcuddly.
So Christine was forced to give in to these demands, which made Jia-Tou so mad she went on a rampage and smashed the recording studio before leaving to return to China... any truth in these rumours?
On a more serious note, Teddy Mayer has died. He's the guy that kept Mclaren going after Bruce Mclaren got killed - and helped Mclaren win their first two championships. He got ousted after a slump in form and then Marlboro brought in Ron Dennis... so an instrumental figure in the team :-(
Rising Kiwi Motorsport star Brendon Hartley talks to stuff.co.nz
He's the guy that finished third in British F3 this year and is in the Red Bull Driver development programme. An interesting interview - he speaks very well and it's interesting how well he has done. He's already been testing the Red Bull F1 car due to Mark Webber's bad luck - but hey, that's how these guys get their chances ;-)
ummm, no.
I read a GMM story that said that Bibendum approached Christine and threatened to reveal the identity of Mr. C if she didn’t make Bibendum the number 1 Sidepodcuddly.

Sidepodcuddly? I like that sidepodnoun.
And did Jia-Tou remember to apply for a passport before heading for China? Otherwise she would have had to return home anyway because border control wouldn't have let her in - not nice for her or anyone in her way...
didn't gavin just say that?
No, but I do have Numan's '93 remix of Cars on shaped picture disc – same profile as the front elevation of a McLaren F1...
I'll have to search for a pic of that
A wheel bin lid is more likely though
making our way home now. just had in depth, but top secret, discussion about kers. am sure we'll be able share something next week.
Where the heck have you been?
can't say ;)
Wow!
A team which are heavily involved with KERS perhaps? I don't think they would go to BMW, which are the only team that like KERS anyway, so that meaning that they went to meet some F1 nutcases somewhere at a top secret location in Norfolk, who just so happend to be from the Williams fan club who sent the cog, apologising for cancelling it, then talking about all things F1. However, they say top secret and going to a fan club in a pub in Norfolk hardly sounds well, top secret. So they must have went to a famous driver conference, like Jackie Stewart and managed to get a 1 on 1 about KERS.
that would make a great script.
Well it all must be fiction then. I thought I was onto something there.
don't just leave us with that! it's hardly fair ;)
oooo are you buying honda? and you've just had a discussion about their kers system and stuff and it will all be anounce next week which is why it's a secret? :P
you know us. if we could, we would.
we didn't actually know is was quite so top secret until we arrived. learned more than expected, can say less than expected. sorry.
wow. Did you meet people you have to refer as 'Mr X' and 'Mrs Z'? and are the team 'Standard Racing Outfit'?
The last thing we want is for you to get into trouble and not get involved in these things. We can wait.
ah you gave us a nice podcast, can hardly complain ;)
ooo sounds interesting :P can't wait to find out what you've been up to (even if we have to wait weeks ;) )
You should make it before the snow kicks in then, unless you're miles away
Oooh did it snow in Blighty as well?
has been snowing in the SE of Kent since lunch time, it;s settling and everything! gah! :/
We got it forecasted for tomorrow, oh joy.
I couldn't be bothered going to the Baker this morning - too bloody cold!
We're supposed to get a lot tonight, especially in the South East apparently
It's moving North then
There was brief snow snaps when I was playing football this morning, nothing massive and they only lasted a minute or so.
It's snowed all day and it's freezing!
The South Est has already had more than enough :( i don't want anymore! i actually want/ need to go to school tomorrow :s and it's too cold. Bring on the summer!
Why's everyone still talking in yesterdays thread anyway?
I like the cold, hate the summer, way too hot for me.
I'm on the doohickey...
Same here, only just noticed.
erm.. not sure, i think 'me' commented in this thread and it sparked a convo.
pish posh, snow is gooooooooooooooooooooooood :D
Only if you're an eskimo, a penguin or a polar bear ;-)
Or Jon Waldock of course.
I once played a match in a blizzard, it was hard to catch the ball and at the end I couldn't feel my hands
thank you, i feel....honoured...lol
I used to have that problem after PE at school. Makes it very hard to button up your shirt when you get changed afterwards :-D
I knew that panda was trouble
hehe reminds me of the Race of Champions, 7 hours sitting in about 3 degrees, we still couldn't feel our legs, feet or fingers when we got home 3 hours later lol.
Teddy Mayer was a big part of McLaren for a long time. He originally came to Europe from America with his brother Timmy who was a driver. He was killed in his mid 20s but Teddy decided to stay in Europe.
They could get home from Norfolk in time for a live show so it must be somewhere more exotic
I heard someone called MrC was involved but don't tell anyone.
I've been to football matches like that. Not fun.
Hmm Norfolk, Lotus, Tesla?
Seriously. In deepest darkest Scotand we have none. I am sure up north they have but not here.
have posted a link to a pic i have taken of the snow here, however it's in moderation. so i've put the pic in drop.io instead ;)
Same place. ;) Tesla's are built in the same building.
I know... that's why I said it...
Blimey!
Blue skies and stuff here, ewhich is good. Went for a walk in countryside and it doesnt seem like there's gonne be any snow here which Im delighted about, although it's bitterly cold.
As cold as it is, that's a nice pic
I don't envy you lou.
Nice pic - that's what it looks like here in Denmark too :-)
thank you, am a little annouyed that i can't really get any good photos of anything else around our house cause it's snowing so much :/
Norfolk only came into the conversation when R.G. made up the story of the Top Secret visit
The could've been in Brackley for all we know
we live in the countryside too... getting about till it melts is going to be alittle bit of an issuse, lucky we don't have any ducks or geese anymore, they would hate it.
Especially as they should have flown South months ago : )
haha our ducks and geese were a little too fat to fly anywhere :P
