Oh, hello. It would appear we have reached Friday again which means another Friday, another week sorted. Good times ahead as the weekend approaches I'm sure and with an absolute myriad of sport to choose from, how can we complain? Yes, folks, get the strawberries and cream out and let's enjoy this Friday first! I'm actually a little nervous today as I'll be picking up my university results and finding out if I'm graduating or not, so if I could get you to keep your fingers crossed that would be great! My present back to you lovely readers re the following bullet points that withhold many awesome things to discuss:
- After a quite exceptional race in Canada and the highs of Montreal (welcome back!!) we return to the... sigh... incredibly unexceptional levels of Valencia's street 'circuit', or as I prefer it, the Bernie Ecclestone Dockland Experience. You know I find a circuit dull if Rubens can manage to win and do his epic podium dance in Valencia and it still be very meh to myself at least. But we are Formula 1 fans - we are used to silly times so I hope you still join us in the comments for FP1 and FP2 later today so we can be look at Valencia's awesome green building, as photographed by lou in harmony and all agree that naming two corners has made a huge difference to Valencia. At least there is one bit of awesome news - this weekend's driver steward will be Heinz Harald Frentzen!! He was my choice of driver when I wasn't Rubens on Formula 1 '97. Gotta love that Jordan.
- I have promised not to talk too much about the World Cup but I got introduced to the fantastic David Baddiel and Frank Skinner podcast last night and I've spent a while catching up on them. They are very, very funny but the reason I got told them was because I mentioned how much I missed the Baddiel and Skinner Fantasy Football shows that took place in the 90's and mid 00's. Fantastic shows they were and so very funny, so if you remember them and liked the shows definitely check that podcast out! The podcast does come with an Explicit Language warning so it would be recommended to make sure of this before in case it offends anyone.
- Yesterday saw the release of the new iPhone 4 within the UK and it was evident how much people wanted it - I myself saw queues at 8am in our city centre and still queuing when I was on my lunch at 12 noon. Madness! TouchGen have analysed the new iPhone from a gaming perspective and given their verdict on the new Apple release. If you've managed to get your hands on the new iPhone why not celebrate by looking at some recommendations for games I have for you!
- Broken Sword - iPhone/iPod - iPad
- Football Manager 2010 - iPhone/iPod
- Doodle Jump -iPhone/iPod
- Labyrinth 2 - iPhone/iPod - iPad
- Godfinger -iPhone/iPod - iPad
- Plants vs Zombies -iPhone/iPod - iPad
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney -iPod/iPhone
- Real Racing - iPhone/iPod - iPad
- The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition - iPhone/iPod
- And now a final round up of this, that and everything worth chatting about. Make sure that you guys give Leigh O'Gorman's fantastic guest post a gander as he talks about the former Montjuïc Circuit that used to sit in the F1 calendar as the Spanish GP- it's a fascinating read. The little video included as well I really loved. Today is also the birthday of the very much loved British driver Johnny Herbert, so yay for Johnny Herbert! Surely I can't be the only person that would love to see him on the BBCF1 team?
I think that's enough for one day, ladies and gentlemen. Remember there's plenty of World Cup action and Wimbledon too so there's plenty to keep us all amused. Of course, I couldn't go today without mentioning this - the Goodwood Festival of Speed starts in just 7 days! Yeeeeeeeeeehawww!! I know there are plenty within the Sidepodcast family that are going to be there whether it be one, two or all three days and I'll be there myself so I'll hope to see you guys if you're going! Plus you could always follow Goodwood on Twitter to get the latest news as we lead up go the awesomeness that it is. But for now, I bid you farewell, and I shall see you guys in the comments in which good times shall be had for all.
Daily is here. With that I shall big you guys goodnight!
eh-oh new day.
daily posts are becoming more epic by the... day.
yaaaayy for the green building!!! :D
boo for apple though :(
Good luck for tomorrow, today.
*crosses fingers for lukeh*
niiiigghhtt!! and you'll be okay tomorrow i know it :) xx
I love this :)
Sort of like Euro-Disney, without all the thrill-rides?
I like the dound of that. I wonder what Bernie would put in his dockyard experience
i just popped outside and my word its cold. why oh why did i choose today as the day to go shopping after work :(
at what temperature do you call cold? it's nice and warm here though... nearly too warm to sleep :'(
apparently its 14 degrees out there but i dont believe that for a second because its windy and raining.
ah that's not cold! ;) i'm sad it's meant to be 28 degrees tomorrow.. our summer will be over before goodwood if we aren't careful! :)
i blame the rain becuase it wasnt cold when i was walking in to town this morning. it would have been 14 then i reckon :D
okay, i'm going to try sleep in this horrible humidity. night all! xx

he made it!
Yay heikki! And yay catherine for doing some driving so he could sleep in the car :D
boo it is raining lots and lots. perhaps i should go home and get my coat before i go shopping but then i run the risk of going home ad deciding not to go out again.
Morning.
Guardian Football Weekly (http://bit.ly/abS4pZ) has the best headline for yesterday:
Slovakia send Italy packing as Japan have Danish for breakfast!
Shopping fail :( I hate when nowhere has what I want!
... today we may actually hear something from our players, their one day media boycott is over, they will talk today :-)
Fingers crossed for Lukeh...
That'll be a First then...
Speaking of which...
We have technicians over looking at our meeting rooms and stuff ... and one guy is wearing a BrawnGP cap :D
Morning all
My computer has a virus :( I have no idea where it came from, my software normally gets them before they get into the computer. I hope it goes away.
Jakey is doing a good cause - trying to get Brundle on twitter :)
http://twitter.com/jakehumphreyf1/statuses/16996703596
His first tweet had better be "...you're right there, Murray..." :D
A friend and Ì were quoting this all day in work yesterday. hehehe :)
Have you tried using some virus scanners to check your pc?
It probably came from my windows update :P
Ooooh safe mode is weird. I think it's gone.

Afternoon all!

morning folks
Hello Leigh. :D
is anyone here going to the fans / fota thing in picadilly next week?
hi marilene
Packing sucks :( I might just not bring anything.
Also I'm sure Alphonso is lonely in the garage by himself. I want him back so we can go places :(
Where are you going? I probably missed it the first time you said it.
Then just bring lots of spare cash and you can buy everything you may happen to need. ;)
DUBAI Wednesday
I might just get Nick to pay for it ;)
Being in the office in this sun and heat is extremely tedious..
Ooooh! Seeing Nick again. Great! :)
:D
PvZ is one of my favorite games. I also highly recommend Fruit Ninja. Simple premise, brilliant game. :D
Angry Birds? Pretty Addictive!
Being at home is no better. Desperately warm here at 30.5 degree C. :(
I bought exciting packing things today and it's taking all my willpower not to pack my bag tonight just for fun. We are quite different :D
Yeah :) Except I appear to have agreed to go to some weird company do at Nick's dad's work?! Things like that are a bit of a nightmare when you do know people let alone when you don't...
Look at the bright side - you're part of the family now. ;)
I have also met two sets of aunts and uncles and 3 cousins. I think I'm doing okay :P
was it him who hasn't met your parents? I wouldn't introduce him to mine either ;)
Wow that's high. I just want to sit outside with a magazine and a drink or something.
Extended family = definitely okay. :D
Yeah he's not been near any of my family :P I let him speak to my sister on the phone once and I've been put off the idea :D
Don't look forward too much when you're here or you'll miss the stuff you're doing..
I have consumed at least 3 glasses of iced water in the past hour. :(
I definitely won't be, don't worry :)
Singapore's weather makes me cry. It also made me say "I'm never going back to that horrible humid place" but um....
....
oops.
i'm not sure much in my experience will match the horror of getting home on the tube last night... ughhhh...
:D Oooh, almost forgot! While you're all in Spa, I'll be going to Singapore that same weekend. Will go visit the places we couldn't visit during the F1 trip last time. :)
:D On rainy days, all is fine. But when we have fair weather... urgh.
It's not that bad, isn't it? It's not too different from what we have here, based on the last time I was there.
the rain was EPIC. Thankfully I missed most of it because when I was there it seemed to rain in the mornings and thats when I zzzz.
Not good..
Its about 22 here I think, and feels warmer, perfect for relaxing outside somewhere but a little bit oppressive indoors. A breeze has picked up though so that's nice.
when you go to KL next year, the daily afternoon rain is always epic. ;)
SEA weather on a whole is really bad. When I 1st went to Paris and felt European weather, I knew I didn't want to go back home. :P
Theres a reason I'm staying in a nice hotel #notgoingoutside.
Apart from that pesky race thing.
:D
I wish I could have complete air conditioning in my home but there is a balcony that lets the cold air out... And it may be far too expensive.
You'd think in this day and age they could invest in a cooling system, even gradually over many years
Thank goodness all public transport here is air-conditioned.
I was down there summer 2006 and they had staff literally throwing bottled water onto the trains when they stopped at each station. Ridiculous they can't sort something out.
I love the trains. Everytime I get on Melbourne public transport I wish it was like yours.
You may cry if you have to use public transport here.
You'd think so...
When you have a transport system such as the Underground, you'd think someone may have though "it'll get hot...", but apparently not
I read some study earlier this year that said in all cities of X million in the whole world, the worst public transport systems were those of Melbourne and Sydney. I can't remember what X was. I'm going on a study hunt now :D
Do you crush yourselves in tiny underground cars with no ventilation?
yes.
Ah okay then. Happy days.
But as a tourist you've got to use the tube in London at least once, it's the tube! Its also usually the easiest way to get around.
I already have my Oyster card :D
Plus I'm quite sure your public transport comes more than once every 20 minutes at peak times which is enough to make me love it.
But it sounds scary! Maybe a walk would do people's health more good. Plus tourists will get to see more of London.
Yeah :) I love the tube. It's any longer distance proper trains that you need to watch out for really. They do what they want.
But it's huuuuuuuge you'd never get anywhere.
Then I have the perfect excuse to stay there and not come home. :P
Interestingly, when I moved to London a couple of years ago, I usedto walk around the city sometimes (when the weather was nice) and would occasionally look for directions. Rarely have I ever met anyone in London who knew walking directions anywhere - just total unknown above ground...
(potentially also being mean people)
Well, in London it may do.. :)
Oh dear. Facebook has delivered disturbing news to me. One of my uni friends is dating a 17 year old boy :S
One of my other friends appears to have had a shotgun wedding and now has
twins. I'm turning it off now, it's scaring me.
Oh . My . Word !!!

I recently did Facebook cleansing, I removed 200 people from it! Its alot of fun.
Morning all
morning Jon
Good morning Jon.
Men. *SIGH*
Just :)
Shhh I only just woke up
Some people's idea of fun is a little different from most in the world - don't expect to kill you often though...
Oi! However odd it is, its very sad that he's died.
trains suck. i moved cities to avoid using them!
It's not the act that I am shocked by (at all), but the fact the guy has died.
I like this idea. Avoiding trains is one of the reasons I never want to move suburbs. Ever.
Amy how do you already have an oyster card?!
Trains rule*
*except on sundays
Are we sure that the visit part is true, BTW? Other websites are saying 'died in his sleep of natural causes'...
http://visitorshop.tfl.gov.uk/ :D
:D That sounds more made up. Isn't the truth always stranger than fiction?
Why is it that I'm not surprised AT ALL
yaaaaaayyyy!! i hope the bbc show it! :)
*waiting for her guitar lesson at school*
:D
It is easy to look at the tube map and spend 20 mins doing that, and not realise the place you're going is 20 mins away on foot.
See Alex's Go For Odd video!
I always try and walk when I'm in London, I make sure I've got a map with me. There's so much to see and I don't like the tube. It really depends on where you want to get to.
Hello all btw :)
I like walking around London - we walked from the London Eye to Cromwell Road and just took in the sights last time...
Hello Janna. :)
Hey Janna...
my plans this weekend are to watch toy story 1 + 2 so that I can go see number 3 next week :D
You are the coolest :D I'm putting off unpacking my car, I moved yesteday and got back at 12 so didnt unpack anything because it took 8 hours to get it all in, its like Jenga, take the wrong thing out and it all falls out
On a completely random note, does anyone here play KoL?
What's KoL?
No no no no
:o
Kingdom of Loathing.
Kings of Leon right?
Why not? :P
Nope. I meant a word RPG game: kingdom of loathing.
never heard of it i'm afraid - games were never my shindig
No problem. Just a random thought. It is quite an amusing game, that's all. ;)
8 hours??
Oh my word. I just had a big passport related panic there but I've found it. PHEW!
Oh and I finally got to see the Doctor Who episode "The Lodger" last night - excellent stuff
:D
Got to catch up with last week's episode tonight
:)
Leigh, did you see that Pennant Roberts has died? http://www.atvnewsnetwork.co.uk/today/index.php/atv-today/3217-director-pennant-roberts-has-died-at-the-age-of-69 He worked on some major dramas as well as Dr Who
aye - saw that last night when i got in.
he had some good stories as well as a couple of duff ones, but always seemed like a genuine guy in his interviews - very sad
at least he directed a certain Douglas Adams' his first Who story too
SO MUCH SPORT! *head explodes*
Afternoon everyone...
I have opened the Pole Poll for the weekend by the way:
http://aaserver.co.uk/widgets/poll.cgi?race=9
Autosport finally catch up to this news which came out over a fortnight ago.. LMP1s will have fins the way F1 cars now do.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/84736
I haven't looked at the artists impressions yet but I'm not hopeful of an attractive car..
Best silly season rumour so far. At least it will be once I start it
http://twitpic.com/1ztfcv
ha!
I read an interesting Q&A with the Pirelli man earlier, I'm not sure I have time to talk about it until later but here's the link if you're interested.

do you think i need one of these for goodwood?

It gets past the problem of not be able to speak and Jenson can fan you with it if you faint
exactly... and no need for Lukeh or anyone to punch them either :)
He said they bought the equipment for 13" tyres especially because they don't make them for road cars any more, and that they'd be looking to move to larger rims for 2013.
He was asked about capacity and I found this interesting - I wonder what happens if/when the economy improves?
"Back in 2007, for different reasons, we decided to move production of racing tyres to a new factory that we build up in Turkey. The decision was made to be more competitive, to have new machines and so on. Then the [financial] crisis came, and our expectations in terms of production volumes were halved, because clearly worldwide 2009 and even 2010 have not been fantastic seasons in terms of selling racing tyres. There are fewer racing cars around. So let me put it in an industrial way - we have extra capacity available for racing tyres."
Ahem, excuse me for one second..
YEEEEEEAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!
:D:D:D:D
Do you always get that excited when Lou says you don't need to punch people?
:D :D :D congratulations.. again..
you deserve to go celebrate :)
I'll take that as a good pass, well done :)
oh my goodness Jenson needs a bit of a hair cut...
http://www.sutton-images.com/preview.asp?filename=d10eur107.jpg
Said it before, but well done. :)
Got a 2:1 for my course and a high level B for my dissertation, both am mightly pleased with especially the dissertation as I worked my backside off for that.
Great stuff, go have beer :D
Well done
awww!!! Virgin racing are the sweetest ever -
http://www.sutton-images.com/preview.asp?filename=d10eur473.jpg
if teams could have points they should get some :)
Jenson needs to stop changing his helmet design.. it's horrible.. keep it as it was JB!
http://www.sutton-images.com/preview.asp?filename=d10eur430.jpg
That looks like the kind of design you would get on some cheap rip off that isn't licenced
I can't work of if this is fake or not, but I'm pretty sure it's not!
Scary!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYJtcoS7ImQ&feature=related
it doesn't even look like his initials anymore.. and if it turns out to be the winner of a competition or something that i don't know about i'll be sad he didn't pick something more original..
It's not. That was his first day as a Jag driver and he had corporate guests aboard
Looks like Steve Sutcliffe on-board, of Autocar fame
oooo i have found a photo in which the renault looks pretty
http://www.latphoto.co.uk/tags/search/photos/41160?width=550&height=520
Can anyone tell me why HID's aren't banned? They are the intensity of my lights on full beam and last night I couldn't see anything behind because of a few people who had them.
Any ideas? I dont get it.
hids?
Alphonso is back and all shiny and clean :D Weird squeaking noise = gone :D
They are the really really bright headlights, the uber bright ones.
meanie
I didn't know he squeaked
ooh, the cool looking ones?
i guess to look cool, but presumably they're safer cause you can see more. time for an upgrade?
:P
It was only something stuck in the fan but it was very irritating!!
I have never heard of something getting stuck in the fan before
mum has them on her car and they really do make a difference. She's also had like a tint thing put on her mirrors so when someone is behind her with those lights she can see.
... that could be cause Honda like to do funky things with mirrors and things though..
they aren't cool when you're in front and cant see anything!
you can only see more because it's like being on full beam all the time
What?? You've never had leaves sucked into the ventilation in your car? I think it's very common.
Thats all well and good for her, but no-one else can see when she's around.
You might be able to see more but that's not going to help you when another car smacks into you because you've blinded them....
I thought you meant the engine fan. Never had leaves sucked into the ventilation on any car I have had but I have seen it before
you have the flappy thing on the mirror for that very reason.
I couldn't tell who was behind me yesterday to see if i could overtake the car in front of me.
On your rear view mirror yes, but not your side mirrors. You're meant to use all of your mirrors.
their fault though :)
i think the idea is that in the future all cars will have them.. or at least the tint thing to make sure others can see. Problem with the car industry is that something can't be brought out all at the same time because of cost and everyone has different ages of car. I'm willing to bet in the next 5-10 years they become a standard on all new cars...
just move em a bit.
you're making a lot of fuss about a light. they look cool :)
What about all the old cars?
agreed.
its not just 'a light' its so dangerous on motorways at night when they're the only lights around
Something on the windscreen that means you can still see properly?
I find if I shut my eyes for 5 seconds they don't dazzle so much
Also on rural roads where it's very dark and someone comes round a corner with them on. You can't see ANYTHING
police cars have them, right? they cannot be that dangerous. squint a bit.
:)
That's not just those lights though.
We're talking about the really bright ones, not the slightly brighter ones
They're so so bright. Much worse! You can get used to the other ones. These leave those funny coloured spots in your vision even after they're gone :P
xenon ones, right?
not the atari game, clearly.
people pay a lot of money for those kind of highs, you're getting them for free.
they won't be around forever... plus if you ever need a replacement windscreen you could get one with a tint.. or new mirrors with the tint... there are/will be options. The idea is that they make the roads safer, if it bothers you that much go into your local garage or dealer and inquire about what you can do.
or walk.
no idea, but police cars dont have the ones im talking about
I hate that. Slowing down often isn't enough. I don't like aiming for gaps I can't see.
that happens when people forget to dip their usual lights though. that can't be helped..
Many years ago before those were even dreamt of I was in a car when a Lancia with twin head lights shot past us. When our eyes started working again there was a cow in front of us. It was only they for half a second before we hit it and launched it.
I'm sure you could get some kind of film applied to the inside of your windscreen at some point.
or walk. {Comment #205}
As long as it's not at night in a semi-rural or rural area, in which case they can dazzle you anyway. Most of us can't justify tinted glasses for night walking.
? i didn't realise there were 3 types?.. i thought it was the normal yellowy light and the brighter bluer/ whiter one?..
a website for jon: http://www.blindedbixenon.co.uk/
My mum hit a sheep in similar circumstances when I was about 12
yeah.
I'm sure you could get some kind of film applied to the inside of your windscreen at some point. {Comment #210}
If you're well-off, yes.
or you could stop walking for a moment, or look away?
i'm surrounded by lunatics.
You've just shown me a website that says alot of the people with the lights im talking about havent got a clue? I know this, the people who are the worst have no clue
i haven't read it. i just thought the domain name would appeal.
would it annoy you if i bought a set? :)
Walking on a rural road at night is basically suicide though. There are so many deaths. Pedestrians don't realise they're basically invisible until you're right on top of them unless they're wearing proper reflective clothing.
No, as long as you got them set as they're meant to be and not be an idiot with them.
would be easier to spot them... if you had xenon headlights.
ithankyou.
i agree. if they dazzle you, stop or don't look at them, no need for glasses..
:D
they come in purple: http://www.xenonheadlights.net/
or you could stop walking for a moment, or look away? {Comment #219}
That only works if you know it's coming before it arrives - and the engine noise won't tell you if it has those headlights fitted or not!
You're surrounded by people who have found out xenon lights can be a major problem the hard way...
good for them?
:D
Trouble is rural roads are rarely straight enough for the type of headlight to make any difference
You'd have to get those underfloor laser things and an England flag for the roof
true story
:D
that's not entirely true though. We live in the country and it's got to the stage where mum feels uncomfortable driving at night when not in her car, because the lights enable her to see much more clearly. It's safer for the animals too as they are much easier to see.
you've lost me. you object to the light, or the type of people who choose to install them?
I object to the people who don't get them set properly.
What people feel comfortable with and what gives them more safety info is not necessarily the same thing. A lot of people will tell you they feel they are safer in total darkness than in partial darkness but that is only because in total darkness they can't see the things that are outside their headlight area so they don't think about them
annnywaaayyyy changing the subject slighty...
watch the first few seconds of this video...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQrRiva1xg8
I really hope JB never wears that outfit again.. hats really don't look good...
but when driving what makes my mum feel safer is her being able to see more....
thats fine when she's on her own, but not if she's blinding other people when shes sitting behind them (im not saying she does, but alot of people with hi-intensity headlights have no idea the effect they have on other car users)
The driving I like most is at night, no other traffic, full beams on. Partly because you can see what's coming the other way a heck of a lot earlier when they dip their lights. But if when they've dipped you get blinded, not so much fun..
My point is to question whether the extra that she is seeing is relevant to safety or not. Some people like to drive with fog lights on because they think they can see more but in reality they are only lighting the verge on their left in an area that is way too close to their vehicle for them to react to anything but it fills in a dark spot in their normal headlight pattern so they feel less comfortable without it but it has no effect at all on their safety.
Anything where people lose something that they are used to makes them feel uncomfortable. So if someone gets into a car where the headlights are noticeably less bright than they are used to they are going to feel uncomfortable but it doesn't necessarily mean they are less safe. They may be less safe but they may not
Who is this aimed at?
http://twitter.com/RacecarEngineer/status/17021779198
Oooh, pet peeve: People who put their rear fog light on with the slightest hint of rain, what's that about?
Autosport I think
Could be Autosport and the LMP1 fins I mentioned earlier. I'm pretty sure RCE mentioned it recently.
Who is this aimed at?
Autosport I think {Comment #244}
Probably over the "fins" piece. Would explain why it took them 2 weeks to post it...
Afternoon all.
Christine!!! Hello! how are you?
Hello. Had a good day?
Sam Collins from RCE explained the fins bit to Hindy over Le Mans too, so I would be surprised if it wasn't related to Autosport
Hiya christine :)
Hey Mrs C
Very, very good.
Gosh, no one is ever that excited to see me. What have I done? :)
Hello
nothing, i'm just happy today :) plus federer is hopefully playing soon.. and i was worried that i'd be watching it alone what with everyone watching the football.
Woohoo!
#fridaysareawesome
I'll watch the wimbledon as the football has been dire
I can see this sentence being repeated in a week by the way :P
Ah-ha. No, I'm watching... wait... to the tennis thread I go!
good good. :)
Wooooo I'm very happy :D I have received my cashback on my shiny phone :) This has nearly entirely paid for my car service :D
You sent back your shiny phone?
No no. I used a cashback site and they have given me money to buy something I was going to buy anyways. I like this idea.

not yet, will check them out asap :)
http://jonsi.com/news/pitchfork-cemetary-gates-session
Blown my mind once again. How he keeps doing this is unknown.
Just absolutely sweet and serene performances.
I've been wondering for days what's making this annoying clicking noise outside. It's so bad that I have to close my window so I can't hear it anymore. i've just noticed that it's a sprinkler in my own garden?!?
Yay!! Karun retweeted me! Awesome!
Was for this fantastic response he had in F1 Racing: http://twitpic.com/1zvcd5
Evening everyone :)
Hello mr alex sir
Hey Alex
Well done on your Trevor Lukeh :)
My trevor?!
?
Evening. Back from a supermarket visit and a wander through town. Wondering if I should've found somewhere to sit for a while, not sure what I'd do though because I left my phone and other stuff behind, so I came back.
Trevor Nunn - 2:1
Or Attila as in Attila the 2:1...
oooooooooooh. :D
oh!
well done lukeh. is that for the php thing, or the long document?
For the whole 3 year course. I got a B for my php stuff and for the dissertation too, as can be seen here: http://toata.wordpress.com/2010/06/25/90-and-the-results-are-in/ :)
they spelt your name wrong :(
#needsmoreH
That hasn't been said by anyone since Steps were formed
And in capitals!
:)
would you trust these people with your education?
Goodwood news: the timetable is out
http://www.goodwood.co.uk/festival-of-speed/whatsonwhen.aspx
Badwood news: it just lists the class numbers and not what sort of cars they are..
The air display schedule is there, Friday and Saturday goers can see the Red Arrows, Sunday visitors can see the Vulcan
:D
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Is that the one I've got video of?
it's been a crappy a380 for the past four years, where did they pull the vulcan from?
yeah. i paid for (some of) that. bah!
#
It sounds like something from star trek
*googles*
Ooh a stripey plane!
At your service: http://smarterthanyouraverage.com/2009/09/06/upside-down/
http://smarterthanyouraverage.com/2009/09/06/upside-down/
Oooh, you beat me! :)
you missed an ideal pluggin op. there. giggles!
Fast work pat!
what's that?..
From what I googled, it looks like a giant moth. But faster, and more... aeroplaney.
Search box in the top corner of the site was really useful :)
a classic, classic beast that you're very likely not to see flying for much longer.
worth going to goodwood for.
aahh ....you can always come on sunday too ;)
Lewis is going to be there so you can wave at him
:D
don't have time, or the money.
you see what happens when you plan in advance? rubbish.
Took a lot of effort to get it flying again didn't it? I'll miss the swooshy fast jet though, often they have a Eurofighter or something. Everything is quiet between runs then suddenly BOOM a fighter buzzes the field... makes me jump every time! I missed the A380 though, I've yet to actually see one.
#blameamy
*shakes fist*
actually i blame lord march for not selling tickets on the gate. how silly is that.
go wander around heathrow any day of the week.
The place is rammed on a Sunday though.
Oh no not lord march :(
Last year I thought he was the guy with the beard at Longleat park, Lord Bath. I was soooooo dissapointed when I found out I had the names mixed up
It's 4 hours away!
Okay 3
I might go to the Yeovilton Air Day the week after Goodwood. Except I'm tight, so instead of paying I'll stand in a nearby field or something..
i could probably do that on sunday. just sit in the car park :)
bad times. if luke tells me what it is and where to point the camera i'll take a pic for you... and maybe a video if you like it that much :)
you aren't exactly going to miss it, i promise.
thankyou.
I don't wanna spoil it for you lou, but it'll probably be in the sky.
:)
Yes!
Huge plane, really loud.
okay :)
*thinks back to all the goodwood and silverstone shots of JB you ever took*
tis the least i could do..
meanie.
It will be really big and really noisy and everyone will be looking up like the world is going to end. Kinda looks like this http://www.bing.com/reference/semhtml/?title=Avro_Vulcan&src=abop&qpvt=vulcan+bomber&fwd=1&q=vulcan+bomber
Awwww congratulations Lukeh :D :D :D
thanks!! :D
I am still a bit stunned about it. May take me a few days..
I'm channel hopping. Florence at Glastonbury on BBC3 for those that like her.
i ought to take a look. i bet she looks just like jenson's friend.
florence does u2?
ahh no, fleetwood mac. were they meant to be there too?
In other news, my birthday card arrived today :D
florence doing the f1 theme tune.
Interesting version. Still not a fan of her voice..
Guess what'll be used on the closing credits soon :)
she needs to put some clothes on, but i likes this woman.
:)
Very good guitar playing
??????????
loved that.
oohhh myyyyy god!!! will have to catch that later (hearts) Florence
:D
the chain is the only thing i've heard of so far, but the band are brilliant.
How can it be sunny at Glastonbury?
yay for you liking florence! Em and i love her so much, her voice is amazing!
it won't last :)
one of her aims is to perform with an orchestra and things. she's awesome :)
wish i was there, but mr. eavis insists on more forward planning that lordy march.
And prices to match
the line up for most festivals this year is brilliant.. and by most i mean Glastonbury and Latitude..
Glastonbury isn't always the same week as Wimbledon is it? I'm sure the Red Button always has Glastonbury on it
value for money though. considering a two hour set from u2 costs you £125 pounds this year. glasto is cheap.
£125?? That's insane. I thought £50 was high when I paid that last year (though I'd pay it again..)
Good point though
if you want to be able to see them, that is. but you get to be right up front at glasto, just by getting up early.
ooh, i know this one.
yay :D
Tomorrow night is the best night of glasto this year
#biased
bass player gets a shout out for playing the chain :)
Adam Cooper article on Button. Just in case anyone is interested in him
http://adamcooperf1.com/2010/06/25/jenson-button-we%E2%80%99re-not-as-quick-as-we-might-hope/
i noes this one too
I think im gonna tune into glasto too actually. enough sport for one day
christine picked a good day to be away. turn it UP!
You can consider my TV turned up to 11
Well, it's on 27, but still.
"it's like 16 louder"
pretty sure we'll find out in a few years time florence was really nicky wire, wearing a dress.
I hope jo whiley doesn't present any of this, she;s rrrrrrrubbish
The ones on now are fine :)
:)
:D
my friend at uni is nicky wire's cousin
#oddfact
Oh she will.. She was on the phone to Moyles when I was driving to work. She's not that bad though!
edith looks tired already though.
I ain't a fan *strops* :P
don't be mean about Florence...
#whoisnickywire
ohhh man :(
Vijay Mallya is going to find an Indian Lewis Hamilton.
http://uk.reuters.com/article/idUKLDE65O1MU20100625
It was announced the same day this photo was taken
http://twitpic.com/1ztfcv
I wonder if Lewis is planning a change of nationality
i don't like her because she hates coldplay, but coldplay love her... and they even changed the lyrics for one of their songs at a gig for her.. and she openly hates them.. yet goes to their gigs for free
not.fair.
I thought she was a huge massive fan, she seems to be when I hear her talking of them
she doesn't know a muse song
not.fair.
good luck :)
Sort it out, you have a national duty :)
Vijay Mallya is going to find an Indian Lewis Hamilton.

It was announced the same day this photo was taken
http://twitpic.com/1ztfcv
I wonder if Lewis is planning a change of nationality {Comment #382}
Probably not. Vijay's been using that analogy since the 2008 launch at least!
she's one of those people who only like bands if they aren't well known..
problem is she talks about them lots on the radio and they become well known... then she hates them.. but will happily claim she was one of the first to 'discover' them..
she was mean about them on buzzcocks.. David Tennant had to stand up for them :)
:D
doesn't give a good image of Wales though. 'Oh yeah he's from one of the most popular welsh bands of all time but he tends to dress up like a woman, noone can understand what he;s saying half the time and he seems to hate everyone. on the plus side, he's the cousin of my friend'
where is giggles when you need him eh?..
florence: http://bit.ly/a2TiMX
nicky: http://bit.ly/c42mcN
Sure it wasn't an in-joke? She was massively into them at least for the first half of the last decade..
don't be mean about florence.
Oh I know this song!
uncanny, isn't it?
Can we be mean about Vampire Weekend?
she was having a go about them on air too.. :( edith loves them though, chris martin was in on an entire show of hers when she used to do the afternoon show.. :)
no.
the singer looks like that tennis player.
:(
you can't possibly know these people?
If it makes you feel better, she can really, really sing.
Nicky wire really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really can't.
The 7 foot tall one with the hat or Venus Williams?
Monica Seles?
Better than the coal miners from the valleys image though.. Maybe.
vampire weekend are alright.. they aren't that good live, but their songs were everywhere last year. don't you remember?
ahem... your love alone?
Its fairly pleasant stuff, nice to have on from time to time, but they are like The Fratellis. Overplayed on the radio and overpromoted.
never heard of them.
yeah him :)
the fact he can't sing makes it worse... poor Florence..
Not just me then
Oops, he does have a tremendous line in that. A whole line of goodiness.
Although to be fair on manics' newest album he sings a song written by ritchie and his inability to sing actually makes the song better because it makes it more raw...
ooh.. well at least you've heard of Florence now.
She can but she ruins it with a sort of screechiness
i met james and the drummer at a party once.
me: "where's nicky?"
james: "at home... watching casualty"
rock and roll.
*salutes nicky*
:)
Heheh!
Woooo! I always knew Casualty was rock and roll!
:D
It's the theme tune.
Great theme tune. There was an awful club version of it.
I can't remember her name, for some reason I keep thinking Enid Blyton
the party had free ice-cream though. it was in the days pre-iplayer mind you. tough call.
edith bowman :)
I'm now puzzled as to how one spam account which I deleted on my wiki has managed to reactivate itself.
thats the one. I knew it began with the letter e
ahh i want to go to glastonbury... why didn't i go.. silly exams and my hatred of camping!
I can't be bothered to start a stream on the computer, just checking footie from time to time.
Giggles played these guys the other day
you don't have to camp.
who are they?
now you tell me.
Mumford and Sons.
Mumford & Sons
the ticketing thing is a lottery, though right?
yeah i think so.. tbh i would have just told Em to get them :P
I wanted to go to latitude cause not only is florence there but Jonsi is too.. and other awesome people like Laura Marling, the xx and even temper trap :( silly lack of forward planning!
I didn't know Bloc Party man had gone solo
ooooh Florence and Dizzy. hehe!
This is getting out of hand - it looks like I'll have to move my wiki provider to one which at least has functional spam control, not something I'm looking forward to because it needs to be free and have no CAPTCHAs :(
I love Hot Chip too...
interesting hat
righto... who are hot chip?
Over and over and over, like a monkey with a minature cymbal
Giggles played them once..
hehehe!! :D
gridwalk-esque cringeworthy.
Mmm, chips.
Opening with an album track
oh
ahhh sunset at glastonbury! :)
i'm sensing a pattern here :)
am glad timmy mallet has managed to find work.
I don't get hot chip
I don't even like chips that much
BBC should've cut to them later I reckon, after they've got into the set
Well that's just weird.
hehe i love their 'over and over' song.. the others i don't really like.. but i don't really dislike either..
who?
Bunch of nerds using synths and a hi/low vocal combo... what's not to love.. the albums get a bit weird mind
LUKEH!
you know I love you, but... really?!!
No way..
am liking it so far. mega retro piano meets macbook.
:)
really.. sorry..
I absolutely love them
bleugh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUfv-tAfXn4
it's like a stage full of brian-eno's.
My mum met timmy mallet at a newport county game last year, good to see he's made his way back into the limelight though
ooooooooooooh the Glasto music is Uprising!!!!!
oohhh seriously it's just a children's presenter.. i thought you meant like... a rock star..
He was basically a rock star to a 6 year olds mind. That hammer was an icon to toddlers of the 90s.
nooo, Dizzy Rascal :(
i take it i wasn't alive when he was around.. so that's a good excuse?... no?..
he had a fine music career too.
soo, any football on?
I'll let you off this time ;)
mid-late 80s too
he has a song that he does with Florence.. which i like.. you know there are artists who can do one song that it was worth them becoming a singer for?.. well i think the song he does with florence is it for him..
riiiigghht..
Red Button for alternate Glastonbury
Legend.
I dunno who this is on red button.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77tirxSTAWU
I love how everything is on YouTube
Is it Fearne Cotton?
Apparently it's Ellie Goulding
*no idea*
The only time I've seen that name is when Scott's mentioned her
i don't have the red button, but i'm betting giggle's has played her.
Shes doing a one man band impression right now
Well, one woman
no, i don't think so...
she's alright.. nothing special. she's meant to be this years newcomer or something..
Ohh I know this starry eye one
I'm not impressed, I'm tempted to turn Dizzee back on
wow she needs a better wardrobe department..
i flicked it over.. and have realised i would rather listen to dizzy.. just cause i know florence is coming on soon :D
Well this is her last song for Ellie so she'll be gone soon
This Starry song she's singing now is pretty bad though. Not a fan at all.
Caption said Florence is on red button soon
Florence!!!!!!!!
Cerys!
its cerys matthews!!! or nicky wire again.
i can't even escape to football. itv player fail.
Vampire Weekend again, back to Dizzee then
oh, vampire weekend. We just had this!
florence + dizzy isn't too bad mr c :)
Gorillaz on BBC2 at 10
I am going back to that
although Florence needs to sort out her outfit...
Yep!!
Which means Muse are 24 hours away :D:D
*runs*
I think Dizzee is reciting a recipe to his favourite meal. He should calm down and stop getting so excited about it, I can;t hear him properly
ooucch oh florence.. in tune please..
I thought it was awful :)
That was quite out of tune
the original song is good :( bad times..
you can go away now dizzy..
ommmmmm *covers ears*
yes.. yes it was..
Ooooooooooooooh... I posted earlier on Muse have a surprise for their gig tomorrow night headlining: http://toata.wordpress.com/2010/06/25/90-surprise-surprise/
Now theres rumours going around now that The Edge will be performing with them to make up for U2's pulling out... someone commented it but I thought they were joking, now I've seen it mentioned on a few sites!
ooooooooooooh.
although x1 edge, playing x1 song hardly makes up for skipping a whole set.
#shouldlistentoradio1 ;)
what did they say?
they spoke about the The Edge and other Glastonbury rumours earlier :)
My muse headpinger doesnt work with radio 1, boo
aww :) in fairness i should have told you, but it slipped my mind..
also.. who is that? she's annoying..
*puts ear plugs in* lots of language coming apparently
Sweary Snoop
Snoopity Doopity Doggy Woggy
oooh nooooo.... what's on the red button?
Gemma the reporter? She's a bit odd, she was doing the same last year
ahhhh a little bit of corinne bailey rae is good for me..
I thought he got banned from the UK
I feel bad for mr c, he has no red button :( just a potty mouthed man
ahhh I just spilled Guinness on me
who is currently on mute!
but you can watch other stuff online??
http://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2010/
I'm watching Willie Nelson :)
Michael eavis is watching on!
i can? oh wow.
how can we live comment an event when there are six different cameraa?
Didn't realise BBC4 was on it now
Choice is bad!
you'd be complaining if we were just given one stream though :D
hehe. i love this, cheers.
hehe no problem, i think they had something like this last year, but without that number of cameras..
List of artists:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2010/lineup/stage/
I really do love watching glasto. Must go one year.
florence's set is on red button and i missed the first bit first time round...
Anyone else tuning into gorillaz live at 10pm?
Saturday looks odd, I'm thinking Muse would better 'fit' most of the bands on the Other Stage.. so have them all on Pyramid :)
Depends what else is on.. I've never been that bothered by them
Last time out they followed Morrisey, who got in a mood with the crowd :D
Whats with those full body suits? So wierd!
Lou I think Florence stole the women's duvet suit from the Jonsi gig
yeah i hate them.. one of my friends boyfriends has a blue one and it freaks me out when he wears it.. and it's oddly kinda often..
O.O
oh hush you. it's not that bad...
i know.. i know..
Bombay bicycle club are playing glastonbury this evening!!! *dies*
wait... what?!!!
The Chain?!!
oooo florence + the chain is rather epic.. i wonder if this means she's a fan of f1 :)
they live commented it earlier.. but i didn't get to hear it..
Its great so far!
*waits for that bit*
Woooo!!
Gonna switch from florence to Gorillaz now me thinks
Snoop's doing Jump Around :)
BBC3 cutting out to go to Eastenders. I'm sure 3 always went through to the early hours to show the other stages while BBC2 did the headliner..
That top gear advert is genius :)
Rolf Harris is 80 this year?!! Wow....
but they have the internet to help stream things now.. i... suppose.
Not the same.. you feel like you're watching alone..
bbc2 presenters > bbc3 presenters :)
Noooooooooo!!! Jo Whiley!!!!!
as opposed to sitting watching the tv alone?
Definitely!
Watching TV you're watching with millions
right..
Gorrillaz starting now on BBC2
including euro-esque strobing.
*eurovision
Damon albarn appears to have morphed into martin freeman
:D
Also we just got rid of that loud mouthed rapper, go away man!
Have they moved away from the cartoon characters?
he's there in person... but only on video?
hehe le roux on the red button :D
although... these singers need to sort out their wardrobes. they've all been a bit gaga'd :(
Freeman has a mini piano on his piano
Don';t worry Matt Bellamy will make up for it tomorrow with his LED sign suit and his glitter suit...
....on second thoughts....
am not a fan of this gorillaz set.. it's odd. *finds something else*
I miss the cartoon characters :(
i'll be back in a bit too.
i'm now very confused..... a guy i've never seen before turned up at the Canadian GP and i thought he was the HRT boss.. or someone high up.. but it turns out this is the HRT boss?
http://www.sutton-images.com/preview.asp?filename=d10eur785.jpg
#confused..
He is the guy that bought out Campos
Watching red button again for day 1 highlights. La Roux looks like Mike Conway :)
Oh I didn't get comments for a while, I thought everyone had gone quiet :)
right? so he is team owner?...
and this guy is team boss?
http://www.sutton-images.com/preview.asp?filename=d10cdn586.jpg
I was busy raising my eyebrow at Gorillaz :P
That's Kolles, he runs it but doesn't own it. I think the other one owns it.
I've seen Kolles at every grand prix, but never ever seen that guy you linked to in the second comment.
Kolles is team principal i believe?
I miss the cartoon characters :(
ahh. it says he's 'Jose Carabante Aguilera'
i'm so confused when it comes to Hispania.. i know nothing about them.. bad bbc..
*remembers pole poll*
there is nothing about him on the website.. oh i give up with hispania..i'll just support Karun..
I'm sorry but la Roux looks like Tin Tin
He rescued the team, put all the money in and hired Kolles who runs it day-to-day
Can't really sing either... I like the backing track
Or the band I should say :)
:)
ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh
I do like the quicksand song though
Only Lou and I have entered so far...
i can't believe i actually remembered this week.
To be honest, there's no real point in me playing!! I'm too emotional about it, rather than trying to actually make a sensible prediction. The only time I was happy with the result was Bahrain :D
my predictions are always what i want to happen... never what is most likely.. hence why i loose :D
Ooh more Hot Chip on red
done.
i have given up with glastonbury.. onto jonathon ross.. a guy called seasick steve is on..
hello you guys - just popping in quick before I go to bed - have been super busy!
hey rocket. we missed you.
hey!!
Rocket!!!!! *waves!* how have you been?
not to well actually - this pregnancy thing doesn't agree with me! Although I actually love it - and been a bit busy getting up at silly o'clock to go bird ringing
a whole 60 seconds passed before i remember what in the world that was.
oh no :( lets hope JB does well this weekend :D
i thought there was a bit of a stunned silence...!
that would definitely make me feel better - not been too shabby lately - just needs to beat lewis
technically, he has.. cause one of Hamilton's wins was technically only because the red bulls crashed into each other. Jenson's wins are by talent and the fact he's a genius ;)
:)
"what kind of person rings a bird... she means bell... right? oooooooooh."
you probably heard the penny drop from where you are.
...in the wet.
well, yeah - I totally agree! But I just meant on track rather than in the genius stakes - we all KNOW he is a genius! ;)
ssshhhh!!!!
what ever you say... Jenson earned his wins.. Lewis was gifted on.. :P
i'll learn to spell one day, i promise :)
yes - i get that all the time!
yeah, that is true.
i think jenson is a genius in the wet.
hehe i'm sure he'l be okay this weekend.. and if not i'll chat to him at goodwood and he's be awesome at silverstone... maybe..
i can still hear lukeh mulling it over now...
:D yay!
:)
he better be alright - I can't take any more stress after the England matches, and seeing as there is another on sunday too much stress in a row wouldn't be good for the baby!
:D
Baby? Ooooh.
yeah - the only disappointing thing is I don't fit in my Jenson tshirt properly anymore :)
I thought Lou was having a baby for a second there. I was very confused. Congratulations Rocket :)
hahaha!
and thanks btw
congratulations Rocket
ooh dear... Mr C wants me to get married and you want me to have children.. and i'm 18?.. can i be an f1 photographer first? ;)
thanks :)
in other news Tim Minchin is on Jonathan Ross next week.
am watching j.ross too now. i must say, that seasick steve looks good with a bit of makeup...
only if you get me a really good picture of Jenson all sweaty and covered in champagne after a race :)
getting married won't prevent you from being a photographer?
must watch/tape
it's just about to finish.. you missed Kylie talking about her Welsh relatives.. lol
:)
haha! will try if he's still racing then ;) i'll get you a pic next week though :)
no that is true.. but i don't want to get married this young thanks ;)
:D
I had a weird conversation along these lines with a girl who works for me the other day. She kept saying she didn't want to get married because she wanted to do x y and z. I was like why would you marry someone that stopped you doing cool things?!
Bad mr c.
oops
indeed
no idea. i've yet to figure out why people think it's a big thing. someone the other day was spending 20k on a wedding. 20 thousand on a single day?
i did wait until i was 30
we spent maybe over a quarter of that on ours
i did spend quite a bit on mine - but not anywhere near that much! And we saved for in - didn't get into any debt for it.
hehe. (hearts) ms. minogue.
saved for IT - I can't type...
You say that as if you didn't push the boat out. ;)
much better. didn't stop you doing anything though right?
i have no problem getting married, and i know it wont stop me doing anything i want to do.. but at 18?.. no thanks. It's not that i have anything major about it, i think it's cause i see it as being a bit too young for me.
hehe but i do love you lukeh :)
Oh Steven....
hehe. they have engines for that.
no - but getting a mortgage did
hehe
ah yes. lou, don't get a mortgage.
What?
*puts on list* right.. thanks :)
at least not until you have sorted yourself career wise - I'm now limited as I can't afford to train for the job/s i'd really like
ah that sucks :(
Hmmm my parents always said they got a mortgage too late. Who to believe....
although i quite like my job as a mum right now...
don't make me go all Harry Hill here
?
i just took the wrong courses at uni and didn't enjoy it so quit - the power of hind sight says I should have swapped courses, but i wa young and didn't really know what I wanted to do
FIGHT!!!
yes
I know this feeling :) Don't do this :P
ooh :)
hindsight is a horrible thing sometimes (silly photography alevel).. but i'm hoping i like photography at uni.. otherwise i'm in a bit of.. er trouble..
But if you don't, you should tell your university and they help you do something else.
i hope you do too - I'm sure you will though - you seem pretty passionate about doing photography as a career
yeah exactly. :) i was chatting to my old photography tutor yesterday and she knows alot about UCA courses and she suggested if i hate the photography course there is a UCA course at a different campus which is a more general media course which would be be 1) very easy to swap to (her friend did) and 2) would equally suit me and my needs.
i think it's safe to say i've kinda thought the 'what if i hate it?' question through..
very sensible - you have your head screwed on - don't know many other 18 yr olds that have that much forsight - well done!
it's cause if i don't know what might happen i panic.. hence why i plan alot.. Em is getting me better at not planning every single move though..
Just dont take her on a tube train, whole different story :P
heeh!
hahahaha :)
Whereas I quite like the tube when it's not 2320303 degrees, Jump on, wibbly wobble along the track, jump off. Literally for me...
:D hah!
i like the tube as long as it's not packed - although when you're heavily pregnant people give up their seats which is nice - went to see the hammers when heavily pregnant with edward
I would use that excuse but I fear a flaw may occur in my plan.
packed tube = my.worst.nightmare.
Eurgh. Someone gave me their seat when I was 16 because they thought I was expecting. I must have cried for about a month.
Gorillaz make absolutely no sense. Snoop Dogg just came on stage to rap on a song he doesn';t rap on despite earlier in the set being just in a video on a song he did rap on!!!!
Sense making no you are.
:)
hammers? gosh...
hey folks
:(
an old bono, sitting in a comfy chair would be better than this.
hehehe
some advice i would give to pregnant women trying to jump the queue at the station after the footie, ask a policeman - as policewomen are mean
they are horrible. but driving, into london, out of london, between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm. worse.
hey rg
agreed. Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrubbish.
meaning.....?
I apologise if this offends any drivers in London but... you're all mental. I have nearly gotten run over sooo many times.

ah i can imagine driving into london is awful! I'll go on the tube when it's busy.. i'm much better than i used to be, and if i'm with lukeh it's much easier. but i really hate it, it's like cramped spaces AND being underground *shudders*
you do know that pregnant women are allowed to use their helmet for certain things?
@rocket - wrong team ;)
*decides not to mention that it wouldn't happen if you watched the little green man more*
:D
I wonder if that ever happens
yes - i've always wanted to ask just to see if they'd do it!
:P
trafffic lights are difficult situations to tackle.
driving with them is just as bad. no quarter given. M1 junction in the morning rush hour, scariest situation i have ever driven in.
especially when you are colour blind to green and red like my hubby - he has to look at what light is on - quite scary
Oh that must be so annoying, poor him... :(
I have no excuse. I'm just stupid, sadly.
wow! that is scary!
no, it's London drivers. they are mental with a capital f
a couple of times i've had to say "it's red joe...it's RED JOE!"
is that his code name?
yes - it's handy if you have a car like a classic mini - can fit in tiny gaps in traffic!
hahaha :)
i have just seen the weirdest flake advert ever... whatever happened to the overflowing bath ad?
What's the new ad like?
oooh speaking of adds.. have you seen the Jenson and Lewis building a car video?
there are some seriously wierd ads this summer.
Wonder if Gary has tried it yet?
its a girl in a really weird dress with a million layers blowing in the wind against a black background and it doesn't say anything that would amke me think - yum i want one of those - although they are nice
i can't type - that was meant to read make not amke!
Odd
twirl is the least messiest way of eating a flake.
no - what's it for?
but it does take away the challenge

i got my world series by renault tickets today. this time i will have sun cream with me, just in case.
Who would go anywhere without suncream??
I love it!
me 2 years ago. i got burned really bad. at least i learned a lesson. i have a suncream wristband ready for goodwood, i'll have one for WSbR too
me.. i always forget it :(
*writes post it for goodwood*
(hearts) the pitstop bit :D
A what? Sounds like something I would like. I'm a bit suncream obsessed. I keep it in my handbag. All the time.
it isn't nice is it? I've been in hospital with 18% 2nd degree burns from the sun - it could have killed me - i take it VERY seriously!
its a bottle of sun cream, that wraps around your wrist.
i like the making the tea bit!
even in the winter?
i had a blister the size of an egg on my neck, and my forehead was leaking something, and becoming crusty. i have been put off sitting in the sun for life.
The sun is still up there. Allegedly
me too, and i will always make sure my children are protected
Oh dear. You've all had awful sun experiences. Yet I'm still the one obsessed with suncream.... :P
i am too - actually text my mum today to bring me some home from florida as it's my fave one.
in the winter it's usually freezing or raining.. meaning that i am not outside for longer than i need to be..
Nick did a good job of buying me nice sun screen. Much nicer than the tat I buy myself :P
how romantic...
:)
