Hey everyone! I’m not going to start with my usual countdown to the Bahrain GP because as I’m sure you all know there is currently a question mark over whether or not it will happen. Instead I will simply say this;
The start of the 2011 season may be in 21 days… or…. Possibly 33 days!
If you’re getting a bit down at the thought of another month of off season (although it’s completely understandable given the circumstances) here’s a cute little cartoon to brighten your day.
I thought I’d start the day with a big collection of photography links for you all to enjoy.;
- Haven’t you always wanted to camouflage like this?
- Have you ever wondered what it would look like if you put hundreds of boring tourist photos of the same place together?
- how awesome are 360 panoramas?
- Remember that beloved photographic effect tiltshift? Well here are some awesome examples.
- Black and white photographs can be really stunning, here are some examples.
-Lastly lets finish with some just plain beautiful images.
Oh, maybe we should talk about f1 for a bit.. Vettel was fastest again in testing yesterday.
Moving on..lastly..
I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to do next Sunday's daily, would anyone like to take over for a week and do a guest daily? Any cover would be appreciated!
Podcast of the Week
My podcast of the week is a video podcast. Infact it's the first F1 video (i think!) that our favourite sidepodcast couple created for us all.
I’ll also leave you with some uplifting and cute sayings. Have a lovely day!
I love that minimalist comic. Genius
Exploring the daily links now and it echos what I tried to say earlier. Every Daily poster brings their own flair. For me, I love the undiscovered imagery they that Lou brings me
I hope you find it as inspirational as I do
[hearts]
I love the 360 panoramas. The tilt shifts are as good as I have seen. The multi-tourist photos should not work but they do. Some better than others.
*hugs* thank you!
bed time now tho xx
Night Lou
Those are some of the best links ever. Tomorrow I am going to take an hour and go through every photo
i do like an inconclusive f1 countdown :)
It could be 21 but then maybe not. I think it is inspired by NASA
oh my lord look at the autosport video. shocking quality.
*cowers in the corner*
:)
I do think that Tilt Shift is an over used amateur tool, in general but this is how it's done folks

I'ma stop gasping and say 'look at ALL of the above links'

part of your five a day, no question.
7 is part of your daily 5? Sidepodmaths is as hard as sidepodtime
I've told Lou this to her face so I have no problem repeating here
She has a good eye, very good in fact. It needs honing but It's rare
I hope so, I need all the nutritional encouragement I can find
it explains a lot though.
Certainly does
When we find our Pythgoras, I think SidepodReligion may cause ruptions
You mean we need a sidepodtheorem?
I can still smell garlic, I may need to explain an Italian breakfast tomorrow
"t'was the feast of San GiaHonky Clove"
Or something
[that's all I got right now]
Exactly
Tell here people mistake you for a vampire and you wanted to show she had nothing to worry about.
We need suggestions for that. Gavin does numbers so maybe it should be his department
Maybe we need our own Murphy's Law.

Yeah, if I have to refer to the internet, I 'll probably get more love for putting up Giggles' blinds :)

Either way is fun
I'm definitely blaming Steven. We haven't done enough of that lately, remember your roots people

Am a little bit sad at missing the Ihntatko twwetup but when I see the "dressed as iPhone" pics next week, I'll know I missed it for a good cause
And with that thought, I bid you good night

I am slowly lurking back to see how the world looks after a week with flu :-)
Hi Wolf.
How's your part of the world?
oh no. sounds like bad flu! hope you feel a bit better now.
Another one with manflu

our part of the world is quite depressing at the moment, the kind of weather that better fits your part of the world :-)

When I blow that dog whistle it'll feel like Monday morning every night at 3am
Gahhhh - dammit Bernie
he still does not get it that is not only about the safety of F1 convoy ...
Not just that, but this race is the "baby" of the Crown Prince... I mean, jeez, just grow a pair and call it. If he gets sued, I'm sure there is more than enough evidence at this stage to pacify a court case.
From: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9402871.stm
How can they make a team attend? Or more precisely what would be the penalty for non-attendance?
disqualification from the world championship with all team's results annulled
not really sure but there was a reason for all the Michelin teams to do the installation lap at Indy 2005 ...
once you do a warm-up lap, you are classified as having started
Is that a guess or is that something you've seen?
hardly could be done if all teams decided not to go. not easy for the Bahrain owned McLaren though...
pretty certain that's the rules now. It changed in the mid-90's
Good lad
I was trying to guess which team it was... For some reason I immediately thought it would be Ferrari... because they often act all by themselves... But most of the leading F1 teams have ties in the area... Except possibly Red Bull... Could they be the ones?
they come in pairs - RB + STR ... someone else I think
Good point.
HRT? No one gives them anything
:)
It did say a top team... Maybe they were reporting from Bizzaro world?
I assumed that Virgin were more Russia backed than Middle East. Renault too?
Ah Renault are a top team I'd say...
Don't Ferrari have Middle eastern ties (probably with Abu Dhabi though)
Yes indeed... Ferrari, McLaren and Williams all have ties in the area.
Great. Another race with only 6 cars. Ironically enough, I dug out a recording of the 2005 US Grand Prix earlier on... just to see fans thrown water bottles at the track. Bahrain may present the drivers with missiles of a different kind though
Abu Dhabi sold their Ferrari shares back at the end of last year.
I think the only current ties are with the theme park.
But the Gulf is a huge market for the likes of Ferrari, Mercedes and now McLaren and Lotus . Not so much for Red Bull though
Good Vibrations everyone :)
Jeremy! Are you gracing Albert Park with your presence this year?
it doesn't look like it :(
v.sad
Hi guys! I'm here.
I just wanted to tell you I made it, and I'm off to Tesco for provisions. No sleep on the plane, so once I get back to this gorgeous apartment I'll probably stay for the day.
aw :(
Oh my gosh, I just realized I'm almost in some of your time zones. That's a first since I've been commenting. Wow.
Back later after I get some food. I'm famished.
Great to hear you made it ok :)
if you see any competitions I can enter to perhaps win a trip...
enter this one :D
Thanks. Am entering the L'Oreal one as well
Exactly... Maybe when they said, "at least one leading team" they meant Red Bull and of course didn't include Torro Rosso because they aren't a leading team.
Woohoo!
Because you're worth it
Have you played with Splashtop remote access for iOS? (changing the subject)
It sends sound as well as video. Not the greatest product, but I haven't seen any other VNC type stuff for Mac that does sound
I haven't seen it. Interesting. I use LogMeIn myself.
For those people who facebook... Another little warning... This time about replying to messages from people you don't know:
http://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/12614/any-risk-in-replying-to-a-message-on-facebook
I have that too and I'd heard that you could use the Pro subscription to send Flash based content to iOS but it turned out that was only if controlling a Windows 7 machine
ooh. thanks for that. not that i check facebook very often :)
Me either.

Two current concerns
Transport For Londons's list of engineering works are longer than my planned route and I'm still HONKING of last night's garlic
Ho hum
I just cooked a cheeseburger with what I hope is beef that I got at Tesco with a ton of other food for the week. Yum. A hot meal for a weary traveler.
Good mid-day peoples.
Yay, time zone parity!
How was your flight?
Hey Christine, Kai
hehe
Oh god. I'll put it in the blog, but it was not comfortable. It was long. We were delayed out of JFK due to high winds. *gulp* I was so scared on take off.
hi christine
Fancy meeting you here in the daytime! I guess I have to go to Prague to chat during the day. :)
This time of day you'll find more of me and less of Mr C :)
And the people next to me were a nightmare. They had 6 glasses of wine and passed out, crowding me in my seat. 9 hours of this!
I always saw that but haven't experienced it. :)
And the guy snored in a barking sound. I'm not kidding.
Still, you're up to date with SidepodRadio now
True. I did watch Wall Street on the plane and I got to see Social Network again. I'm glad I didn't pay for Wall Street. Well, you know, separately. Bleck.
What a lovely sounding flight!
Lukeh, it was awful. Hilariously awful.
Prague is really cool from the little I've seen so far. And this apartment is gorgeous!!!
Are you absolutely positive your flight wasn't part of a sitcom or something? You didn't accidentally enter a TV program? Reality can't be that awful!
How odd. You should've recorded it as a soundbite for your blog :D
And it was snowing a little as I arrived! aw, I loved it.
Nice
Not so nice but just like home I guess
Can't get away from it :)
I love snow. It's beautiful.
oops. Yeah, it could be me. I have a snow-related last name, so that always cracks me up.
I like the beauty, the cold - not so much
At least there's no driving to be done
You brought the snow with you!
Parts of Prague seem just like New York, other parts are like CT, and some reminds me of Sweden. Then a tram goes by and I'm wondering if the KGB is watching me. You can feel the history here. I can't wait to get some rest and go out and explore with my camera.
I'm an hour ahead of you. That's freaking me out. I'm usually 5 hours behind.
Did you see me wave when I went over around 7am?
Erm... was anyone awake at 7am? :)
I doubt it. I was thinking that Steven and Mr C had probably just gone to bed. TIme is so funny.
You're a poet and you didn't know it ;)
Unless you are a talking pork pie, then no.
I had a very odd dream last night, see.
Altogether now...
Everywhere you go...
hehe! Maybe I'm a shapeshifter and I chose a pork pie to inhabit.
That depends if it was over the north or south.
I was.
I just checked the map and I went over the south. Sorry RG.
Ah-ha! And did you wave?
Fourstar has gone away on holiday *AGAIN* this time to disney world. And for the last few days before he went away he also had the dreaded man 'flu so I have been going in for work at 7am. So now on the weekends I feel like I've had a lie in if I'm waking up at 7!
Of course! :)
Typical southern bias.
That annoys me so I'll just have to leave. (Well, I couldn't stay long here anyway).
But clearly the north looked lovely from where I sat.
:)
I've already told him we are now all bracing ourselves for the next environmental/avaiation buggeration
He has form
Right, train awaits. I'll see how my signal is on my journey
And I must rest so I can get rid of that feeling that I'm still moving.
I'll be back later on. This is fun.
The picture of his daughter ready to go to Disney World was priceless though: http://twitpic.com/41chfv
See you later.
Sweet dreams!
Lucky typo catch there I almost wished Kai Sweat dreams which wouldn't have been very nice.
Those are some sparkly ears.
Mega cute
As Joe would say: Here come the meat sweats :)
Ooh, The Gerkin is all covered I'n mist. Looks cool
ohh is it a rainy day in london then? *planning what to wear this evening*
Hello. Glad Kai made it ok (reasonably!). I'm off to golf for the first time in months, this can only go well.
made mistake earlier to switch on the ESPN Star Sports (after a long long time). that pathetic company still runs TV promo for the GP2 Asia race in Bahrain. the delayed broadcast is on tonite 1am HK time on Star Sports if anyone wonders how the race went ...
Like an alternate universe or something.

Ping: http://mrschristine.com/2011/02/20/film-watch-120-red/
ooooooh.. I was wondering if you'd watch this following the expendables, both seem to have an overkill of big names.
Looks like you preferred this one :)
It was most excellent.
I was going to blog the other day about this but I think I'm really starting to change my stance o DVDs now. I seem to have bought loads over the years that I've only watched once and whilst I'd have enjoyed them, I have no desire to watch them again. Only the absolute favourites get watched more than once, and I think my brain is slowly starting to look at iTunes movies a lot more and stuff like that, much cheaper too than buying a DVD you only really watch once...
Of course, the risk is you renting a film and really really love it then I know I'd go out and buy it on DVD so in the end I'd end up paying more.
Overall you would probably spend less because you would only buy the DVDs you really wanted (or you could ask for them for Christmas/birthday) and renting is cheaper than buying things you don't want.
But, I imagine that would happen only occasionally so overall you would probably save? (money and space!)
That's true.
The thing is... How many times do you watch them more than once in quick succession? For me that's really quite rare. And often in between times new versions have come out etc.
Also there are very few films that I feel like I'd like to watch twice but not more than twice. And I feel happy to give a bit of a hat tip to those best films by buying them.
So rental first and then buy for the second viewing. Turns out not many get to that second stage.
However... Annoyingly lots of films aren't yet available to rent on iTunes :(
Hello all
I use LoveFilm for renting films because it is a fixed cost. You have to decide what you want on your list of films to send you but they do have a new Watch Online service too.
why can't you rent on itunes, and if you like the movie, buy it on itunes? can't see any use for DVD's at all any more.
Absolutely
I dunno. I'm used to having DVDs I suppose so it feels kind of wierd saying I own a movie on my laptop. My brain still hasn't fully adjusted to the world of mfc :)
It's really similar with games too. I've bought plenty of games but once I play them and beat them, unless they are the bestestgameveerrrr then I just don't have an interest in playing them again. Although in terms of non-DVD based stuff for this I own about 6 or 7 times more worth of stuff downloaded on my Xbox than I actually do on disk, the spectrum is completely turned on it's head in that aspect of my wierd mind
... and then you are realize DVD is no longer cool and will want to get in BluRay :-)
:) More like boo-urns....ray.
#notafan
when the world looks back on the last two decades, i am convinced it will conclude CD's and DVD's were a terrible idea.
we should've gone with rewritable NES cartridges.
YES!
Plus we could have kept the satisfaction of blowing into the catridge when it wasn't working. DVD's are just rude, they get scratched and then fail miserably.
A-wha...
Lets take the mega blockbuster film Knight and Day *ahem* I know but it's one I know is rentable on iTunes...
It's available from iTunes to rent for £3.49 or to buy from iTunes for £6.99
If you want to buy it from
WoolworthsOur PriceVirginZizzi (whatever it was calledHMV then you can get it for £7.99 or £6.99 from Amazon and then buy other things to get the free delivery. So imagine you bought a film a month and only 2 films a year turned out to be ones that you wanted to actually own...
Buying 6.99 x 12 = 83.88
Renting 3.49 x 12 = 41.88
Saving = £42
Which would mean you'd have enough money to buy... 6 movies or half of them and still break even. Or if you discover Knight and Day to be a bit disposable then you can just ignore it.
The amazing thing with the maths there is that essentially even if you rented the movie the second time you'd still be saving money.
http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=28709
hard to copy, so the record companies would love them and no moving parts so no chance of scratching. the capacity would be expandable, so you could fit a high-def movie on there by now.
true story.
HMV are very expensive here, I saw that film for £11.99 the other day
ZX spectrum?
Zavvi that was it...
zizzi is a better name :D
Zizzi is the name of the pizza / pasta restuarant
Oh I seeeee. Still takes up space though.
But nes cartridges were the best thing ever :(
Even the cheap artwork on the front of them was amazing.
true enough, but as a stop gap technology it was better than spinning silver.
I have a video rental 2 mins from my home (yes, they still or again exist), new movies for about £2.00, older ones for less give and take few pennies in exchange rate. and I can keep them for 3 nights in case I want to watch them in quick succession or go trough all the special features
iTunes store does not work here unfortunately, at least not for music and movies and TV
same here
Oooooh, a a cool nes cartridge clock!
that is annoying :(
ahh not good :(
There is a weird time stamp on iTunes rentals. You can keep them from 28 days from rental (is that right, something like that) but once you start the video you only have 48 hours to finish it.
I can rent movies in HD "online" from the cable tv though, sort of an alternative and I do not need Apple TV to watch them on big screen :-) the selection in the video rental shop is bigger though
Where do you watch the DVDs?
On my xbox or downstairs on the tv downstairs
I should also add that the Xbox has film rental too which is really good but you have to use the stupid microsoft points system, and the prices can too be a tad inflated at times.
Hehe. It would be weird watching them downstairs on the TV upstairs :)
you could sit at the top of the stairs and peer through the glass above the door to get that 'far away with a little elevation' cinema experience.
Even more of a cinema experience too with the people going up and down the stairs too and getting in your way
Halfway down the stairs?
it's perfect. why haven't we done this before?
is the stair where lukeh stops?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGFR3zz12p0 :)
awwww
It's an AA Milne (Winnie the Pooh) poem from "When We Were Very Young"
Assuming Mr C can get it all tweaked in time, we'll hopefully be testing out the Factbyte Factbox later with some kind of NASCAR stuff: http://factbytefactbox.com/live
Loss of the entry. So not only would the team be thrown out of the 2011 championship, but any future entry would have to be via the same route as a new team would take - and their previous record would be taken into account.
First race from the studio in London would be pretty novel.
Mercedes? Unlike McLaren, it doesn't have any direct links to the region (that I know about), and the press are determined to make it sound like a top team if only to enhance their claims that Schumi is a title candidate...
This isn't the broadcast of next week's race by any chance?
The annoying thing is that the library is usually the cheapest way to rent (my local one charges about £2 to rent a new movie and a bit less for slightly older ones) yet most people seem to ignore it...
I think they got renamed to Head. Daft name, but the DVDs were cheap...
they need help with their marketing. have never heard of that before.
They definitely do. Sadly a lot of the councils seem to hate computers in general, let alone the internet, with a passion. I remember the ruckus I caused when I suggested that maybe it would be better to solve a loss-making option to print out stuff by raising the price to cover the costs rather than to remove it altogether...
Seems like Lotus may be having troubles: Jarno out after fixing yet another water leak, hopefully can get some laps in
Yet another water leak?
Perhaps that will be the 2011 hydraulics for them :)
Oh no! I was hoping for them to beat the Renault lot as well, but how can they do that if the car is acting like a sprinker device?
iTunes doesn't work on my computer full stop (as in, even the home page, which used to work, doesn't load nowadays)...
it's getting a bit wacky races. flooding the track to make other slide off.
It's difficult to replicate the people eating popcorn and discussing spoilers right behind you because there's not enough width on the stairs for 2 people to sit next to each other...
Clearly more people need to read the code of conduct http://www.bbc.co.uk/5live/films/code_of_conduct.pdf
hehe! Love it!
Kermode & Mayo is one of my favourite podcasts. Mark Kermode in full rant is something to hear.
Yes. And can I add "tripping over other people's feet getting to and from the seats" to the list?

you're gonna need a bunker now though.
bagsy buying a blue shirt for mini giggles!
I was trying to parse a sentence in a way... I often use "lil' fella" to mean something gender neutral and also "guy" but I didn't want to give the wrong impression.
Fantastic news :)
heheh!
Thanks everyone :)
I really am
My main complaint is that we had an GE scanner? Wasn't there an iScan come on Apple ;)
Congrats :)
I can see it now...
"Do you mind if I charge my iPad to your scanner whilst you do your thing?"
The iPad was in the room :)
hehe, you should be able to do your own by now i reckon.
does kat mind her dob being on display btw?
Talking of bunkers, ping: http://mrschristine.com/2011/02/20/live-like-a-womble-6-marvins-car/
I don't think so. Which is worse your DOB or the inside of you? ;)
good point. christine, never blog pictures of the inside of me.
There goes the appendix live-commenting.
I will do my best.

Just saying - minigiggles.co.uk looks to be available ;)
What about GigglesJr.com?
AAAAfternoon all!
Just back from a great weekend in Ipswich and I am a tad disappointed to see the Daytona 500 is on Premier Sports here. grrrrrrr great fir with gaelic football. GRR!
Anyone know of a feed? I looked but to no avail :(
we're all in the same boat, chap. so will be looking too. does the race start at 6pm gmt?
I believe so as the coverage starts at 5.
I am really shocked that Motors TV dont have a go at it......
There is a live timing screen on nascar.com though.
Can you believe it has been 10 years since Dale Earnhardt died? that shocked me.....
Congratulations!
Hi everyone. I had a nap. Not back to normal, but plugging along.
i can, but we've been watching nascar coverage since thrusday's duels and the tv coverage hasn't stopped talking about him.
Ping: http://sidepodcast.com/post/nico-rosberg-finishes-third-day-of-barcelona-test-on-top
you made it!
Mr C is up and about now :)
Indeed. Now I'm 1 hour ahead of you instead of 5 hours behind and it's messing with my mind, but at the same time it seems completely normal.
That was my first time of watching Nascar live, and there were crashes in the race that looked far worse. it was a real shock.
not-quite related, it's good to see Mike Conway back in a car after his crash last year in the Indy 500.
hehe
Yeah, I was commenting earlier and I was in the daytime with everyone else in the daytime and that is strange for me.
Is this any good ? http://www.justin.tv/johnathangregorio#/w/886080752/3
Works for me in Prague! Thanks. I have no English tv channels here.
oh, ooops. They've reached the 'maximum number of streams for your country' and i have to pay.
:(
refresh. Sometimes that helps.
It worked for a second, then same message.
Congratulations :D
blimey.
That was the first race I had watched in a LONG time. It was also the last for a very long time. His wreck didn't look bad at all.
Didn't get to watch the Daytona 500 at all last year because I was scheduled for work that day. I may be ducking in and out of watching it between some session of playing GT5 on the same TV my cable box is on.
Today's pics from Prague

That does look like a nice apartment.
That does look like a lovely apartment!
Take it you won't be spending much time on the balcony....
Hi people..
Very nice
I won't be having any parties there, but I like going out there. This morning I heard the church bells ring, then someone practicing the trumpet!
Kai that is nicer than my house!
I can't believe it's so nice and fairly reasonable, and it works so well for me.
oh, it's way nicer than my apartment! I may just stay. :)
There is a Tesco in Prague?
They really are taking over the world!
Yeah. I don't know if it's my first time in one, but it was the most memorable. I am illiterate here. Boo teacher for not learning the language. It's a good experience to have, being so out of the language loop. It reminds me what it's like not to understand the basics. And the lady at the check (Czech?) out was none too happy to see me. She treated me with disdain. :( I didn't do anything wrong.
Rudeness! she doesn't deserve an awesome pun like you made there, boo to her.
It does remind me of when we were in Belgium though, being somewhere where you're conpletely illiterate with the language. Although saying that the first sign we saw in Belgium driving along the road was this brilliant sign which just took the mickey a bit. :)
hehe Yeah, there are ways to figure things out and then there's stuff that's obvious.
Thank goodness they put pictures on the food of cows or turkeys so I know (?) what to buy - or I can think it's that, anyway, and go on my merry way. Yay for pictures on food packages!
When I was 12, I went on a school trip to Normandy via ferry. I remember being quite miffed that the bilingual sign telling people how to behave on the ferry had thanked readers in French but not in English...
But on the plus side, I must have looked like I knew where I was going and what I was doing because as soon as I was walking up Narodni (street) a couple stopped me to ask me directions! hehe When I said "I'd love to help, but I literally got here 1 hour ago" we all had a giggle.
ping: http://sidepodcast.com/post/live-nascar-daytona-500
Haha! Brilliant :D
hm. Interesting. And last night I felt like what the flight attendants were telling us through translation on the plane was a lot less than they were saying in Czech. It doesn't instill confidence.
Hopefully that is because English is more concise than Czech, but I can see how it might worry the English-speaking people on the plane...
oh I really want to watch this with you guys. Did anyone find a link? I haven't had any success here. I could pay $2 to watch Justin, that's not a big deal, but still...
hehe
There was a comic who did a bit about that with people looking at each other like 'wasn't there more to that? Do you think we're getting the full story here?".
Anyone watching the Graham Hill prog on Beeb 2?....
I saw the Hill prog before. watching NASCAR now
Am going to catch on iPlayer, thanks for the reminder
Ahh I love that Graham Hill documentary so much. Just been shown on BBC2 again :)
This article is badly sourced, but it is local press, Bahrain gp to be delayed http://bit.ly/fm2oBw
The F150 argument is on Top Gear :)

Formula One's season-opening grand prix in Bahrain could be in jeopardy as newly emboldened protesters in Manama call for the royal family to scrap what they see as a costly vanity project, though the race also is the Gulf island's premier international event.
Hiiiiiiiii :D
more on bahrain:
"The race has been the prince's dream since he was a child. He wants to negotiate so he can fulfill this dream, and it makes me sad that his dream is more dear to him than the needs of his people."
Oh my :(
holy cow i can't feel my legs. i may need to step away from the screen.
After my golf round I assure you I feel mine
Hi All, quick question, is Sidepodcast running a 2011 Fantasy Racers league this year? Can't find anything mentioning it on the site.
There will be a league but I don't think anyone has started one yet. Anyone can start it and post the league name (Sidepodcast) and password.
Thanks! Can't wait for this new season to get started!
I think we are all going a bit stir crazy waiting for it
Maybe we can also add a Tipping/Prediction competition for 2011 where we get to predict who'll finish where in the race as well?
some more quotes:
"His precious Formula One is more important than the blood of his people which he spilled," Nimah said. "We put pressure on the Formula 1 contract, the crown prince got scared and now he wants to negotiate."
it's fair to say, f1 is becoming a mighty political pawn.

Time for Bernie to stand up and make a statement. He would probably suggest that they machine gun the protestors.
Surely the smart move is for the Bahraini royal family and Bernie to put out a joint statement saying this year's GP has been cancelled and will not take place
I really don't see the point in all the stupid nonsense we have had to pretend the sport is green to stop protesters making a case against it only to have every civil liberty and freedom groups lining up against it.
Call the race off for this year and let the Bahrainis resolve their own problems then consider next year's race in 6-9 months time
agreed.
I really don't like it when the TV guide is wrong! It promised me rallying at 9am and then Daytona highlights at 11am. All I'm getting here is basketball :(
I've got a post page open separately in FF so I can catch up with Daily comments later. A notification has appeared to tell me there's a new post. That didn't happen before. :)
yay! that used to only work in chrome. we're getting there :)
