If last week was the penultimate, then this is the ultimate weekend of regular season football, and what a Sunday of games we have. Thirteen out of sixteen games have playoff implications and in the NFC no division is decided, yet. First up the Green Bay Packers are hosted at the Chicago Bears (18:00 Sun – Sky Sports). The Pack have their superstar QB Aaron Rodgers back after an injury in this winner-takes-all NFC North matchup. Next the Baltimore Ravens need a W to keep playoff chances alive, and the Cincinnati Bengals have the chance to move up to the #2 seed when these two face off in this all AFC North affair (21:25 Sun – Sky Sports). And finally, it’s win-and-in in the NFC East when the Philadelphia Eagles travel to the Dallas Cowboys, who will in all likelihood be without their starting QB, Tony Romo (01:30 Mon – C4).
NFL Week 17
Published by Will Davies on
Evening all.
Evening.
Bengals throw an interception on what looks like the first play of the game
Clearly they don't want to challenge the Pats for a bye.
Baltimore score the first points of the weekend with a field goal
Steelers (TD) took the lead against the Browns. If they win, + Ravens, Dolphins and Chargers all lose, Pittsburgh make the post-season.
Another interception by the Ravens
Atlanta challenging an incomplete Carolina pass. Doesn't look like they have a hope of it being called a fumble tbh.
Texans have taken the lead. They may be just about to screw up their first draft pick by winning
Plenty of time for Schaub to throw another Schaub.
Vikings WR takes a pitch, fakes a throw and runs it 50 yards into the endzone against Detroit. Embarrassing.
I watched Louisville hammer Miami last night and the commentators were convinced that the Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater will be first overall pick in the draft and will got to the Texans because of the coaching changes there. He can still play another season in college football
That is ridiculous
Amazing - I await it appearing on RedZone.
It appeared five minutes ago - that's what I'm watching :-)
Must've not been looking at window at that moment.
HUGE TD for the Bengals
Bengals finally figured out how to catch a long pass. 53 yards for a TD
The Ravens will be regretting only getting FGs.
They had a great chance earlier when a long pass was caught at the 5 yard line but it hit the ground so had to go back and they only got the FG
I have a question. If a team gets a first down, and is hit by a personal foul penalty afterwards, do they get 1st and 10, but 15 yards further back, or 1st and 25?
I don't recall it ever happening, and I can't work out which way round it would be. Figuring it would be 1st and 25?
The lions just returned an interception from the endzone to about the 40.
It depends where the foul is called. If they play is over, then the penalty is applied to the new spot of the ball (and set of downs). If the penalty is during the play (eg on the Line) then it can bring the whole play back... so it would be a 1st and 10, but the LoS is 15 yards back from the end of the previous play. At least that's how I understand it.
That seems right to me
Yes, I was talking about a penalty after the play has ended. If the penalty is during the play, obviously the first down wouldn't stand.
Is the Eagles/Cowboys game winner takes all?
Yup.
Also, is Mr C joining lateR?
Eagles would go level with a win but they have a better in division record
Falcons punt it to the 2.
41F/5C at Giants Stadium with a 'real feel' of 30F/-1C. Brrr. Very uncomfortable.
add in pouring rain.
Don't worry, it won't affect the Giants' play.
Suddenly cold weather is less appealing
The cold is ok, but not with that rain. It looks miserable. Giants lead the Redskins 7-3.
Ravens will really be upset about only getting field goals on their interceptions now.
Ravens 6 Bengals 17
Henne intercepted. Think the ball was tipped as he threw.
They play outside. It's part of what they know. I live nearby. It's pouring and cold. I just wouldn't want to be out in it.
Jets TD, Colts FG
Lots of dropped passes by the Giants and Redskins. Pr'ly how they got to where they are.
crappy year for both.
Mike Tulbert is a beast. He just rammed straight through the middle of the Falcons D for 17.
Eli gets up limping after being tackled.
TD Panthers. They lead.
Redskins interception.
Eli to locker room. Substantial limp. His ankle got caught under the guy who tackled him.
This is a mess of a game.
He will be glad to see the end of this season
For sure.
It's almost hard to watch. Embarrassed for both teams.
There is something very odd about cheerleaders in tight shorts and winter jackets
hey all!
hey Mr C. Are you watching the games today?
What a comment to come in to ;) Evening Mr C!
well... i wasn't planning on it, but the baltimore game is just one easy click away.
*clicks*
I think someone hacked his headping and changed his name to cheerleader so that every time someone mentioned cheerleaders he would not miss out
and it is working well :)
Colts TD. Jaguars aren't going to win today.
Looks like they're reviewing to make sure he wasn't down.
Colts are killing Jacksonville. 26-3
Bengals throw a third pick
How are Baltimore not winning this game. Bengals keep giving them the ball
Three interceptions for the Ravens and they get three field goals
i like the wind tracker graphic. is that new?
Yay, another Ravens field goal. Well, at least they won't be stealing the Superbowl this year then.
I missed that. Was it on TV?
Steelers FG. They lead 17-0/
just before the field goal, in the lower right was a live "wind" display.
It was at the field goal wasn't it. That's the first time I have seen it
Falcons TD
Bengals just managed to punt the ball 10 yards. Went almost straight across the field. Massive mis-kick
Ball bounces off of a Giant in the Giant endzone and ends up in the arms of a Redskin. Oy.
They cannot possibly be as bad next season as they have this time
It's the Giants, so ya never know. :)
After x-rays, Eli out with ankle sprain.
Just when you thought his season couldn't get worse he finishes it with an injury
Well it was going to be that or a pick six.
Ravens get a TD and are going for 2
Failed miserably but there is a penalty on the Bengals for holding. Half the distance to the goal
I'm glad he's out of the misery. I guess he's in a different kind of pain now. Poor guy.
Made it at the second attempt and tied the game
4 Giants hurt in today's game? Maybe I misheard that. Another guy out on a cart.
Banner at Falcons game: "Luke your my hero"
Guess Luke isn't an English teacher.
Panthers TD
Announcer: "Here's a completion and a first down!"
It's pouring even harder in NY right now.
TD Bengals. 14th consecutive time that they have scored a TD on a red zone possession. That must be close to a record to score on 14 consecutive red zone possessions
I take it by now everyone knows that Michael Schumacher is in hospital with a head injury from a skiing accident today. There is no official news but Gary Hartstein's tweets interpreting how people are behaving suggests it may be serious
Ravens intercepted this time
If the Bengals, Dolphins continue and lose and the Steelers win, then a Chargers win later sends SD to the playoffs, otherwise it's PIT.
oh yikes. it's one of those weeks. i'll never keep up.
It's the last week of the regular season! It's fine, because it's split into two groups of games :-)
This is the last week of the regular season so at the end of today's games everything will be clear
I'll do an update once these games finish - we should know a lot more by then
If the Dolphins win, they go into the playoffs. If they don't, the Ravens do if they win. Failing that, the Chargers do if the y win (later). Failing that, I can't see Pittsburgh losing to Cleveland given the current score.
Looks like it'll be the Chargers' spot to lose.
The AFC is not so bad but the NFC is ridiculous for the last week of the season. Not a single division has been clinched and 3 out of 4 teams can still win one of them. Best to wait till after the results and see what happened
Not quite, if the Fins and Ravens win then the Chargers result still affects which goes to the playoffs
righto :)
Ah, but in the NFC, there are some nice ones. Like the really late game: winner takes the division, loser goes on an early holiday.
Ravens are ten points down with less than 12 minutes to go
Yeah, I was working on the assumption that won't happen now :-)
Ravens almost got intercepted again
It's not likely to happen, I give you that, but there is a scenario where the Chargers are out of it, but their result can still affect things. I can't remember which way though.
It's all on here: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000303368/article/2013-nfl-playoff-scenarios-for-week-17?icampaign=Playoffpicture_news
Couldn't be clearer
Redzone's gone triple box!
Much clearer
Dolphins down by 10.
The Chargers are about to be given their fate, in their own hands. AND the Chiefs have most of their star players In-Active for this one.
Green-Ellis broke 4 Ravens tackles, only came down when his own man went into him.
Browns score, too little too late - dump off to RB Foswhitt (Fozzy) Whittaker.
Ravens intercept Dalton again, in the endzone!
Bengals on 1st and goal from the one get intercepted.
Scored TDs on 14 consecutive red zone possessions but it won't be 15.
It was a crazy pass right to the corner. Should have run on three downs to burn the clock
Dolphins intercepted by Ed Reed.
Cleveland TD
Schaub assures Texans of #1 pick.
Bengals got a 15 yard penalty for unnecessary roughness, Then while an argument was going on they got another 15 yards for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Giving away 30 yards is nuts
Ravens intercepted again. On 4th and ten this time
The guy's an idiot. Smash the ball against the ground! Players should get fined for intercepting on 4th down.
Jets FG.
Jags TD
Bengals are running plays with 12 seconds left on the play clock. Absolutely nuts
Ravens intercepted and Bengals return it for a TD
Steelers win 20-7.
Blimey, they've only just caught the ball here too! Fast work!
7 interceptions in the game today.
wow.
New England need to win then.
First play after catching the punt
That's two interceptions in two attempts for Flacco.
Or face the Chargers or Steelers next weekend.
I can't see the Bengals doing anything in the playoffs. They have been very unimpressive today.
Like I said, New England need to win :-)
Colts win.
Before the season I picked a Bengals-Packers SuperBowl... close, but I can't see them both (if either) making it.
NFC West teams have 42 wins between them this season.
The AFC is wide open. Who's impressive there? No one is massively.
I was looking at that earlier. Crazy that a team can be clear last with 7 & 8
Tannehill intercepted. Jets win.
I think the AFC comes down to the Pats, Broncos or Chiefs. I would tip Denver at this stage but things always change in the playoffs
I think the Patriots would fear the Bengals.
@RapSheet: The #Dolphins needed a win for the playoffs over the course of the last 8 quarters. They have scored 7 points total #fail
Of course, the Patriots and Bengals are both unbeaten at home.
Dalton has played well(ish) at home recently.
Bengals will be lucky to get more than one game at home in the playoffs
If Pats and Bengals meet, I would imagine it would go with home advantage. No 2 seed is really important.
All on Brady and his rag-tag bunch of weapons.
If the Pats lose today, they are no 2.
Panthers win
#2 seed?
I can't see Buffalo beating the Pats
Bengals win
fun game.
It was very odd especially early on when the Bengals kept throwing interceptions but managed somehow to keep a lead
NFC West also topped last year, but with 35 wins, along with NFC North.
This means the NFC South had the hardest schedule this year, by about 20%.
And 40% harder than the third-hardest schedule.
And still the Saints and Panthers are in the mix (is that down to the Bucs' and Falcons' bad form?)
Well the NFC South played the NFC West, which was tough. Panthers came out 1-2 from that, I think.
They also played the AFC East.
Amazing stat on Sky.
Bears have given up more points this season than in any season in their 91 year history
There was a game in I think 1940 where they gave up I think only 16 yards.
Mind you, they only gained 14.
Giants beat Redskins. Now I hope those guys get inside and get warm.
Redzone septabox! #bliss
what's that?
This is their 2nd best season on offence though.
Chargers are losing already, to the backups!?
Chiefs lead!
BREAKING NEWS: Rex is to remain with the Jets in 2014.
TD Saints
YES!!!
HaHaHA! Knew you might have somethign to say on the matter.
That's one team that won't beat us to the AFC East next year then!
I don't know what Rodgers called at that last play but it sounded like "Free the rocket technique"
Peyton with only 199y to go until he breaks the (Drew Brees') passing record.
Well the other thing I would say about it goes against the commenting policy.
Ckargers tie it up.
*hugs*
This looks like the first official news on Schumacher
Sky News Newsdesk @SkyNewsBreak
AFP: French hospital says Michael #Schumacher is in a critical condition following a ski accident
I was hard to know what to believe earlier, but that's not great news.
I was concerned at how long the confirmation was taking...
Gary Hartstein's tweets made interesting reading. Apparently the hospital decided to defer to Schumacher's press people which is odd.
Kind of understandable on some level.
I've just been reading them. Important to bear in mind though, even though he's an expert in the clinical side, he's still making a best guess as to what's actually going on.
True. I like to think that he's just trying to flesh out the situation for all those people who have no clue, and prefer to tweet horrific rumours.
True but he has knowledge of a lot more of these situations than us and knows what normally happens when it ends up being good news and what happens when it ends up being bad news
Jay Feely missed a FG.
Looks like the snow in Chicago is getting heavier
Rodgers doesn't look like he is ready to be playing. Just threw his second pick.
That's ok, after today he can have a long relax.
Arizona 17 points down to 49ers when they need a win
Anyone here not yet registered for the Playoff Challenge, here's the link to the sidepodcast group: http://playoffchallenge.fantasy.nfl.com/group/57085/join
Same thing as we did last year, picking players, bonuses, multipliers etc.
Brees has a QB rating tonight of 158.3 which is perfect
Another TD for Peyton and the Broncos, he must be close now.
196 yards tonight so far
Not bad for 25 minutes work.
Broncos have just set a new record for points scored in a season
I'm not sure what he needed from before kickoff.
I think it was 150 something but I am not sure
Twitter consensus says 70 more yards for the record.
Brees's record was 5476. No idea what Peyton's total is at
My Redzone feed is resetting to 10pm every minute.
Jennie Gow's website needs some Nginx love.
What just happened with the Packers? They got a TD after a messed up pass by Rodgers.
Do Green Bay lead after that? Does it count?
LMAO!
Surprise!
Everyone thought the play was dead. It wasn't.
Packers' TD - Rodgers' ~fumble after being hit, collected and ran home.
That was weird. Rodgers pulled his arm back to pass and it looked like he had thrown an incomplete pass. The ball lay on the ground for a while then one of the Packers picked the ball up. Then people on the sideline shouted at him that the ball was still live becase the ball was really knocked out by a defender.
Packers get a TD from a blown play
If the ball is on the ground go and pick it up then argue whether it is live or not
Yeah. So many times I giggle at the guy who runs off with the dead ball as if it's going to count...but this time..
Run it to the house for good measure, what's the worst that could happen?
yep, exactly.
In round ball football there is a saying. Play the whistle. In other words regardless what happens you do not stop until you hear the referee's whistle
First offensive fumble recovery for a TD by any team this season.
Nice stat.
Another Denver TD
266 yards now
That is the record.
Odds he comes back out after the half?
Is there ANY safety cover in the Tampa - NO game?
Saints lost a rookie safety to injury last week.
Chargers down 21-14 at the half - the once 0-4 Steelers are currently in the playoffs.
Sky confirm that Peyton has broken the passing yards record
They can emulate the '92 Chargers.
Who has the late game tonight, C4 or Eurosport?
Pretty sure it's C4.
C4
Woohoo, I can watch it on my TV then :-)
C4 program starts at 1:10
you watching?
KO at 0130
If I can stay awake
I may powernap between the last game here finishing and kickoff, but I plan to be awake for the game. I had a nap this afternoon in preparation.
The Bears' cheerleaders look cold.
Nope - I'll be asleep - got a long drive tomorrow.
49ers miss a FG!
The referees on both of tonight's Sky games whistle like they are selling ice cream. Referees who whistle a dozen times for every incident do not inspire me
It's like people who say, "guys. Guys. GUYS."
Those referees have more authority and get more respect
We've had two double 15-yard penalties today!
Ello everyone. Morning, as it were.
That's me. Bedtime here. Night all.
Morning
Good night
Looks like a shift change
Indeed it does. Hi, Steven. Crazy day in the NFL, I see. I'd be watching it... if it was on TV. Maybe next season (if my plan to switch cable providers push through).
Happy Birthday.
Thank you, Kai! :)
I forgot that we're only a week apart. :)
We are?! I didn't get to greet you! :|
oh, that's not why I said that. :P Mine is Dec 22.
old news now. :)
Belated happy birthday, then! Hopefully it went well for you. :) I assume you got double-purpose gifts, then? Hahaha!
Flags and hats off in Seattle. Plenty of afters.
I need make plans to celebrate it after the Christmas season bc everyone is busy they have no time to get together. That sucks.
My sister is careful not to do 'Merry Birthday' gifts bc I don't do that to her.
Rams have had a player ejected, I assume. Penalised for contact with an official. That'll be why the hat flew off.
Ah, Langford was ejected for accidentally hitting an official in the face and knocking his hat off. Fool.
Hehehe. That's good to hear. :)
Bills offside in a FG attempt, gives Pats 1st down and they get a TD. That was really dumb, Bills.
and get a 2pt afterward.
You'd think they'd put someone on Edelman.
WIDE open.
oooh, happy birthday squire.
Thank you, Mr C! :)
So who will be around for the C4 game?
Saints are winning comfortably. 41-17. They'll be making the play-offs, so Cards are out (but not winning anyway).
i should be, but i'm coding and lurking, so not sure how much i'll comment.
Fair enough. I have some coding open, but I'm not getting much done!
Bears TD given on the field.
they lead by 7, must go for 2 now, surely.
they don't. Take the XP, lead by 8.
Chargers only trail by 3.
Chargers 1st and goal
Packers TD
Rodgers throwing a block on the play
Browns apparently may fire their coach tonight.
Packers go for one point despite being two behind
crazy.
I guess they are working on the basis that there is still a lot of time left.
Chargers level.
But if you're behind by two, even two field goals makes it back to 8?
The only other way to look at it is if you go for two and fail then the Bears get a TD you need to score twice
If the Bears get another TD, they can also go for two. I think they should have done anyway.
But they won't because they have a one point lead so they will go for one to force GB to go for 2
But if they go for two and get it, Green Bay have to score twice. If they fail, Green Bay would still only tie because they wouldn't go for two and risk losing by one.
I don't see either going for two as a big risk. Especially for the Bears, now I think of it more.
Wow, Arizona just tied it up vs 49ers.
Chiefs miss a game winning field goal! Chargers are still in it!
Raiders have finally scored a point. 6 in fact
"If the game ends in a tie, it will be recorded as a tie."
Thanks for that!
That's the kind of information you need. Like grass is green and scoring TDs is good
Packers now on 4th and maybe 2-ish at the 2 minute warning
I mean, how else would it be recorded?
i didn't think american's accepted ties?
Only under extreme stress. If it's tied at the end of the 4th, they play another 15 minutes. If during that period, no-one has scored, it's a tie. Except in the play-offs, when you must have a winner.
But some people want to get rid of all ties.
Rodgers to Nelson. Pack are still alive
ah-ha. i should admit, my source was only this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KeG_i8CWE8
Chargers faked the punt near their own 30. Given as a first down!
I think the ball was out. That must be reviewed.
TD Packers
I didn't see the ball touch the floor though.
The play wasn't reviewed! The Chiefs had returned it for a TD too...
Pack TD!!
That's funny. Never seen it before
Chargers FG. But it's not over, as per NFL overtime rules.
Cutler throws an intercepted hail Mary to end the game.
Packers win the division
GB wins
C4 need to make one exactly the opposite for people like me.
Pack get NFC #4 seed.
That could be interesting
Feely ties for Arizona. Though he missed two earlier. Nothing in it for Arizona now, but still, free football!
Chiefs going for a 59 yard field goal on 4th and 15
Offence still on the field not field goal unit.
Chargers win
49ers going for a 40 yard FG
Made it
I've not seen either yet.
Sorry. I had no idea that you had that much of a delay
Gamepass has at least a one minute delay.
Just seen the SF FG
alright, now that all the riff raff is out of the way, almost time to bring on the big guns.
lets go cowboys.....
please win...
I'll be back nearer kick off :-)
Currently crunching the numbers for the play-off power rankings.
Remember, no Tony Romo tonight for Dallas. Kyle Orton in his place. And as a backup, he's solid.
Just about to kick off in Dallas
Dallas turn over the ball on their first possession
I'm rooting for the Eagles, just because that would mean Cowboys have lost the last three week 17 games, all for the division title
Broncos finish the season 13-3 despite both AFC wildcards being in their division.
I am sure Kai would approve.
Their division also had the weakest schedule.
:)Yep. But Jason Whitten TE is on my fantasy team, so he can have a good night. ;)
It is amazing how often fantasy games leave you totally conflicted or wanting two entirely opposite things to happen at the same time
Eagles lead.
Carolina Panthers easily top my Power Rankings. Seahawks second, Patriots third, Broncos fourth.
booooooooo.
Well, they just need to learn to see the season out then :-)
haven't in 17 years....
Also, FWIW, Eagles are miles ahead of Cowboys in my Power Rankings.
They have, just prematurely.
geez can se why the cowboys have their worst defence ever, holes everywhere.
Foles has thrown the ball excellently this season.
TD Cowboys
Woops, Eagles.
yes I wish...
It's late.
Ten zip, and this could get away from the Cowboys fast.
nice time here, 12:30 pm, one of the rare times I get to watch the cowboys live, normally im at work or it starts at 4am
Looks like Steven might be gone.
I'm switching between the game and various other things.
Nope. Just been doing other stuff while watching
Decent return from the Cowboys there.
Must be your fault that I am being distracted with other things too
especially without romo who normally plays unbelievably well to keep them in it. for all his late game flaws he his an awesome player who has to play so well just to keep it close.
the defence is just pathetic.
Mike Carlson reckons there are around 12 head coaches who could be out of a job soon
Probably.
Orton's good. He can keep them in it too. But the defence needs to step up.
Eagles have set a franchise record for TDs. 61 this season.
It's so frustrating to watch when your guys are just not up to par.
hes alright, but we will see just how important romo is to this team.
Sorry, 51 TDs.
That's true.
might be 61 soon.
Not to be fatalistic or anything.
Great pass under pressure.
wiliams has been huge this year, taken over from Austin who they should look at trading.
yes, much better.
Love the up and over dive for the TD
3 point game. Now it is time for the Cowboys D to step up
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
escobar, where did that come from
had a spooky sense of deja-va that i'd spent last xmas late-night coding while watching nfl on C4.
http://sidepodcast.com/event/nfl-week-17-2012-nfl-season#comment-3107725
yup.
It was the Cowboys then too
Hehe, I gave up with mine and closed it. Can't concentrate enough on it when football is on.
And they lost then too.
:)
my life is quite literally going round in circles.
We are not even at half time yet and you have them losing already
Well they are, and I'd pick them to lose, and my rankings would have them lose. Doesn't mean they will, but the signs point to a more likely Philly win.
nice, starting to move the ball.
will be 4 wins in a row against philly if the cowboys win today... big if there though.
Interception. in and out of Witten's hands. You can't do that when you need to win
nooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
and when I need points so much. :(
Great catch by Celek
Another theow right on the money from Foles, and then a TD
That is how you punish a turnover
Great drive. And maybe unsportsmanlike at the end...maybe not.
Looked close to being a late hit
that really hurts.
on replay it looked ok.
Is that 30 TD throws? Not bad for a guy who wasn't even the starter.
I think it was fine.
Just checked it and the ball carrier still had both feet on the field
Foles has to start next season
bring back vick.......
witten stepping up after the turnover.
somehow still in it, feels like a thumping but only a td down
Love the 360 option
There won't be any question about it.
I am happy to have a close game at half time
can vick start the second half.....
Would be better for the Cowboys to play better. But plenty of gaps in the Philly D.
4 point game. Still plenty of life left in it. Though it's lacking a little atmosphere.
Big turnover. Foles rarely turns it over. Cowboys need to take advantage.
ordinary play calling, had to hit the endzone while the momentum was shifting,
Quite amazing for a game that decides how both team's seasons end
hold the ball harris.
It's just incredibly flat. And yet, earlier, the Seahawks game against the Rams was boiling over, when it meant very little.
its strange there is 91 000 there but it sounds quiet, not sure if its the acoustics of the new stadium but it always sounds quiet there.
big 3rd down here.
Two great TD opportunities missed.
Foles had a receiver wide open and going nuts on his left and he didn't even look at him
You have to go for this.
what a tackle by carr
Great defense.
Definitely. Worst case Dallas end up with the ball on their own one yard line
You still have to go for this.
Exactly. You either get points, or great field position.
cant see the cowboys holding them out.
Cheer up.
wohoo, nice
Haha, good luck getting a camera in there.
oh im cheery, just have seen the cowboys d all year.
ok this time cowboys, 3 qtr time, typical cowboys game right now, has it all. another close finish coming up.
Philly looking jaded now.
I wish Wes Welker and Adrian Peterson were healthy today.
go for it...
Yep, that was the wrong call.
stoppped! Wow.
Dallas fail to convert 4th down.
I don't think the situation call for going for it.
what is going on with the play calling at dallas, been shocking for a for three years now.
handed momentum back to philly.
But they did what you asked ;-)
would have liked a running play.......
another big 3rd down now
That was too easy. The same play they used three minutes ago.
Mike Carlson making my point about going for two from earlier :-)
40-25 nice maths playclock.
That was a long second
Well, the guy hit the wrong button. But not sure why it wasn't queried as Orton was walking around the place.
TD Dez
Ooft. The play clock operator got away with that one.
2 point conversion failed
I heard "kill kill" before the play.
I don't think my heart will last the final few minutes......
I guess the original play was worse
haha Good coverage by Philly
3:45 if ever I wanted to see a cowboys defence get a stop....
so nervous...
yeeeeeeeeees.
Foles did well to keep his head there.
its like this ever year, almost every game being a cowboys fan, I think im going to explode.
nice punt
YES!
Game over.
Interception.
Dallas blew it
#sorryJohn :(
Sometimes, the spirit of Romo is enough.
:)
I thought the Dallas QB did well tonight. Shame that the interception that ended the game will be remembered more than anything else he did
ESPN @espn 1m
Once again, the Cowboys trick their fans into believing, then rip their hearts out in the end.
Painful.
Three straight years Dallas have lost the division title in week 17. Ouch.
Saints will have a game next week. They'd win at home, but away? Different game.
Will kicked my butt in our match up, AS PREDICTED. Oh well. It was fun and I had a good fantasy regular season.
Thanks for the posts all year, Will. The playoffs will be fun to watch.
I am really looking forward to the playoffs. Then around the time of the uperbowl the Crashed Ice season starts
(I am aware he's not here. Hoping he'll read this later. :) )
unbelievable, every year the same old thing, rip tour heart out every year being a cowboys fan, mass changes to the coaching staff in the off season,
cheers for he comments.
They need to make changes. Sorry for you that they lost. :(
cheers kai.
How tall is Foles? Geez.
oh 6'6".
LeSean McCoy is a cutie. :)
He has scored me a load of fantasy points this year
And he seemed genuinely warm and excited, appreciating the fans, "we're playing for them." Very cool. I've never seen him interviewed before.
It's weird that I have been watching the NFL for a very long time and if I saw most of the players on the street I wouldn't recognise them or know anything about them
Same here.
Wildcard Saturday then more playoff games on Sunday.
Looking forward to it.
See you then, guys. Good night/morning/afternoon/evening.
Let's hope for some good or at least encouraging news about Schumi tomorrow/later.
Bye from me too
this year the cowboys lost to Kansas city, Detroit and green bay by 1 point. the eagles by 2 points and Denver by 3 points. any one win would have meant playoffs.
cheers for the comments, later all.
I see my error now-Dan is the champion of our league, as predicted. :) Well done.
