The final TNF game of the season features the San Diego Chargers, who must win to keep any playoff hopes alive, against their divisional foe the Denver Broncos – expect a shootout in the West (01:25 Fri – Sky Sports). Win and the New England Patriots clinch their division, although they are now without another key player. They travel south to fellow AFC East-ers, the Miami Dolphins, who are still in the playoff mix (18:00 Sun – Sky Sports). Next up are two teams vying for a wildcard spot (or possible division title) in the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys are hosting the Green Bay Packers (21:25 Sun – Sky Sports). The Cincinnati Bengals look to extend their lead in the AFC North when they play the Pittsburgh Steelers (01:30 Mon – C4). Another pair of possible post-season contenders face off on Monday night – the Baltimore Ravens are at the Detroit Lions (01:40 Tues – Eurosport). Some great games, but I somehow doubt there will quite as much weather-related carnage as last week.
NFL Week 15
Published by Will Davies on
Patriots just kicking off at the Dolphins.
I still haven't looked at my fantasy team after Thursday night's disaster
How are the Dolphins still in this game. Pats lead 3-0 with 3 minutes left in the first half and Tannehill seems to be getting sacked every few minutes. The Dolphins get in position to get a field goal and level the scores and they did something I have never seen before. The snapper snapped the ball while the holder was still looking across the line and the ball hit him in the face. Pats recovered the ball
Love that the Chargers shocked the Broncos on TNF!

Which game are you watching Will^?
none yet, just following the scores. Hands too full...
Give it a couple of years and the answer will be none, I am watching some Disney film for the 79th time this week
yup very true, but at least then I could have a LT open
Both teams score a TD within a minute of each other. 30 seconds to go in the half and it looks like the Pats are going to go in with a three point lead
By the sounds of it the bears might want Cutler to stay injured a bit longer.
The only clip I have seen from that was a Browns interception but McCown played well last week
McCown was the highest scorer in fantasy last week (I think)
Hands empty now, but I saw Kai's dinner from last night, so I have to make some for me.
I missed tha
I missed that. Must go back through her tweetsteam
Dolphins take the lead with a TD on the first play of the 4th quarter.
Never heard a QB call KILL KILL KILL as much as Tannehill
Creamy white wine + chicken pasta.mine was good, but her looked better.
Hopefully your's tasted as good as it looked
I didn't get chance to take a pic to tweet for comparison.
This game started off looking like it would be a Pats walkover but it has turned into a relly good game. Pats just scored a TD to take a 20-17 lead
Dolphins TD to take the lead with 1:15 left in the game
Finally tuned in, in time for the 4th Qs - I've got the Bears game on atm.
At least that gets you set up for the late games
That's gone quickly, lots of long clock-sapping drives?
By which time it will be bedtime, although I think we are staying up to watch something till 11 this week. :)
It hasn't seemed like that. There seem to have been a lot of 10-15 yard plays rather than 3-5 yards
The Bears still have 10 minutes to go, same in the Eagles' game.
Brady is averaging 10 yards per completion and Tannehill a little over 12
Those are some good numbers, maybe the incompletion number is down, to keep the clock running...?
Brady 32/47 for 328
Tannehill 25/37 for 312
Those sound like reasonable %s.
21 seconds to go and first and ten from the 19 and Brady puts the ball in the receiver's hand as he crosses the gaol line. Then a Dolphin sticks his hand in and stops him catching
Pats trying for another comeback W.
Incomplete on 2nd down. Almost identical on 3rd. Miami calls a time out before 4th down from the 19
Interception. Game over
Brady INT, Pats lose
...with a W they could have taken the #1 seed from Denver.
I was just working that out. Now they are a game behind. Next game to keep an eye on for that position is KC at the Raiders which should be starting soon
The Pats beat the Broncos weeks back, and the Denver loss on TNF gave them the chance to pull level on games.
I still can't believe the Broncos lost to the Chargers.
The Chargers have been good at playing up to their competition this season, but when the match-up is less enticing they've not got their heads in the game enough. Plus Rivers is playing like a top-5 QB this season.
Maybe they are Scottish
Perhaps. One more off season and they will be mixing it the the playoffs (a little more seriously than the are now).
Why wasn't RG3 benched ages ago, this 'Skins team are actually playing offence.
WOW, but not surprising, a result from earlier - Seattle 23, NYG 0.
Although they missed the 2pt-er, so are about to lose by 1.
I thought after their ridiculous start to the season the Giants had sorted themselves out
The Giants may have gotten better on the whole, but not Eli - a couple more INTs to add to his tally.
Bears need one more knee to take the game.
Packers kick off in Dallas
The Cowboys'd D has been awful recently, so against a Packers' O without Rodgers this should be a good watch.
Packers went about 50 yards on 2nd and 7 with a short pass and a load of YAC yards
3-0 Cowboys
3-3
TD 'Boys!
Missed it because I switched over to see Andy Murray win SPOTY
That was a shoe-in, since Wimbles.
Jason Witten with the reception for the score.
Winning Wimbledon was always the sporting success that Britain lamented. I wonder what is next on that list
For Murray, or British sport?
British sport
There's always footballing success, each nation would like to see that.
Not going to happen for Scotland. The best team we ever had was in the mid-60s and they missed out on making it to world cups. Of course there were only 16 qualifiers then
England had chances in '96 and '98, and around that era. Not close since.
They made the semis in 1990, didn't qualify in 94 and lost in the first game after the group stage in 98
They won the pre-tournament featuring France and Brazil in '98 - that was their chance.
But wait a minute, that ^^ is the wrong football.
Jamal Charles has 4 TDs already for the Chiefs, and it's not even HT.
All I remember about 98 was Scotland Brazil in the opening match. It ended an incredible run of Scotland Brazil games at alternate world cups - 74 - 82 - 90 - 98. How can you get out of a group when you keep drawing Brazil?
16-3 Dallas
Ouch, just saw the 9ers TD where Vernon Davis accelerated into the wall.
Brett Favre is the offensive co-ordinator for a high school. With his record he couldn't get a head coach's job?
Missed that
Twitter were saying he was KO, but I don't know whether that was serious or exaggeration.
Dallas just intercepted Flynn. Plenty time for GB to get another score before half time
Andy Murray: https://twitter.com/LeeMcKenzieF1/status/412349940728594432/photo/1/large
I just retweeted that.
Ahha. Must've been too close to the original for it to be tagged that you had.
It's a great advert. I wonder if Adidas knew or if there were 9 other possible ads
I'd guess that there was the same joke ready, just phrased differently, for if he hadn't won.
Good thinking
Well, what are your chances when you don't have a personality...?
Or a (better) version on the theme.
A Wizard of Oz type of thing
That works :) Dressed as one of the three :D
Or all of them
Walking through three different shots
One for a smiling
One for a more enthusiastic voice
One for the personality to use them
Then a tag line saying sod it I would rather stay as I am and have the Wimbledon, US Open and Olympic wins
Give that man a job in advertising.
Another Dallas score, Packers' season is in jeopardy.
Cowboys TD 26-3
Game over at half time
Saints TD wiped off - yellow flag.
Jets just used a rookie DT as their goal-line back, scores on his 2nd attempt.
That just appeared on my TV as I read the comment
Packers TD on the first drive of the second half
Huge 50 yard run from Lacy to get them in position
I'm watching the Green Bay game - no blackouts on Gamepass in Norway!
If you are in trouble at half time that is exactly the way to prove the game is not over
What's up with the Saints?
I had no idea you were in Norway. Kai and I were discussing a thousand mile snowmobile ride there https://twitter.com/stevenroy27/status/412267473337987072
Sounds great to me :-)
Good. You already have an invite https://twitter.com/AndersFinn/status/412270167008505856
Looks like Oakland are making a bit of a comeback against KC
Excellent. I wouldn't mind to move to Norway to be honest.
Listening to the game... Only blackouts come intermittently and courtesy of MT WiFi
I have never been there. I spent a week in Denmark years ago and that was as close as I got
In in Denmark for a week i May.
Stupid phone.
I understood what you meant. So what is so great about Norway?
JCharles just caught a 50y TD - that's 5 scores for him today. JC for MVP
Every time I see highlights from that game it is him scoring a TD
nice pace of life, less drunkards, more beautiful scenery, better weather (as long as you're ok with winter). Not perfect, but many good things.
Plus, I can watch the Sky game live :-)
Have to have your priorities straight
Jordy Nelson just made a great one handed catch despite the guy hanging on to him being penalised of pass interference
TD Packers
This game looked dead at half time and now there are only 12 points in it with a quarter to go. Gerry will flip if the Cowboys lose
Romo sacked on the 2 yard line after making a dumb move
This is getting repetitive but TD Packers
GB 24 Dallas 29
...GB on the verge of keeping their season alive. Dallas need this in the East.
More than on the verge now.
GB intercepted Romo who threw from his own 25 and then the Cowboys made a load of weak tackles so that it could be run to their 5.
Play is being reviewed
KC hit 56 #50burger
Back on the Pack game now. He he. Love watching Room throw picks. Not as much as I love Eli's though!
I can't see it being anything other than an interception. For me it was definitely not incomplete
Incomplete
Darn it, losing a fantasy matchup when I'd clean up in the other game!
I'm in the final 4 in one league, I've posted 118 with only KC's kicker still going, and I'm watching my lead get eaten awa, mainly by DMurray.
TD Dallas now
TD Packers
Packers intercept Romo and this one will stick
Packers are Flynn it to win it
Packers first and goal from the Dallas 2-ish
TD GB. Lacey scored
GB going for 2
Didn't work
Romo + Dez vs Clay Matthews + co
GB lead by a point. Dallas have 1:31 and 1 time out to turn it round.
Unbelievable that this is the second game tonight that looked like it was going to be over early and turned into a great contest
Int?
GB intercept Romo again. Being reviewed
The guy who intercepted reacted like he definitely made it
The ball was very close to the ground. Looks like an interception on replays
Definitely an interception from the last angle
Not sure how the officials can launch a replay, it was ruled incomplete
It is an interception. 1:22 to go
GB just taking knees. Game over
Pack remain in the mix... The Aaron Rodgers saga continues
That was incredible. Studio commentators are blaming Dallas play calling. Defence was a lot more conservative after half time and GB and particularly Lacy just went strai ght through it. Romo threw 2 interceptions at vital times and another only just touched the ground as the interceptor was trying to get a proper grip on the ball
Dallas bottled it. The owner might need to fire the GM.
Either that or let the coach coach and stop interfering
Jerry Jones firing Jerry Jones - I'd like to see that.
Somehow I don't see that happening
sometimes watching tis game makes me sick, usually this time of the year, usually theres some madness late in games at crucial times of the season, usually resulting in last minute losses, no doubt to what team I support.
