As we enter the final quarter of the season playoff scenarios are starting to evolve. There’s a game on TNF (01:25 Fri – Sky Sports), but the less said about that the better. SNF begins with the 7-5 Detroit Lions playing the 7-5 Philadelphia Eagles(18:00 Sun – Sky Sports). Nick Foles, Eagles’ 2nd year QB, has played so well recently that if his next 50 passes were intercepted he’d still have a better rating than the Jet’s hapless rookie QB Geno Smith. Next up the Seahawks are aiming to sweep the 49ers and fully claim bragging rights in the NFC North – Seattle are playing in San Francisco (21:25 Sun – Sky Sports). If the Panthers beat the Saints they will join them atop the NFC South, and overtake them in the race for the #2 seed – Carolina are at New Orleans (01:30 Mon – C4). This week’s MNF game is make or break for both teams, the Dallas Cowboys travel to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears (01:40 Tues – Eurosport).

Philadelphia is covered in snow. You can barely see the players as they are warming up

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 18:05

I think the Detroit Lions should have worn blue for this game. White is not visible against snow.

I would be amazed if this game gets finished since the snow is still very heavy

I've just tuned in, Tampa with an 80-yard TD run

Have a look at the Eagles game when you get a chance. Loads of snow on the field and a lot more still landing.

    it's on blackout.

I'm switching the Pats game on for a bit

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 18:10

Browns fumble, but the ref had stupidly blown the whistle mid-play.

In a shock turn of events, the Pats go behind in the first quarter.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 18:16

Plenty snow in Pittsburgh - I've switched to that game.

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 18:17

The first and 10 graphics people are doing a great job. They already have all the normal field markings superimposed on the video so you can tell where players are on the field

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 18:18

Currently looking at my fantasy team, making changes.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 18:19

Made a last-minute change, swapped 49ers out for Bengals and benched Seahawks on defense.

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 18:21

The referee in Philadelphia is already having difficulty speaking due to the cold.

Lions had an incomplete pass on th down but the play clock ran out just before the ball was 'slapped' according to the referee. After the five yard penalty they completed a pass to get a first down

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 18:21

I can confirm it's also white in Washington...

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 18:25

    KC lead 10-0

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 18:26

Pittsburgh also lead by a TD.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 18:30

Brady picked off. Browns have it at the 50.

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 18:30

It's just wrong that there is so much more snow in Philadelphia than Green Bay

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 18:32

It's a crazy game. Players are struggling to run across behind the QB before the snap and some QB throws are just falling out of their hands

We haven't had a substantial snow here yet. I love it so much. I want some. Forecasters say we won't get anything out of this storm.

    TD Detroit

Yeah, it's not doing anything here. We'll get some sleet later tonight, but not much. They may get a bit of snow in NY, but just a little and later.

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 19:15

    That would be great.

I would prefer a more straightforward game with less interference from the weather

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 19:18

    Cooper! Great catch.

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 20:02

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 20:06

That's what you get for rules that encourage players to hit low. Low hits on the knee.

That's what you get for rules that encourage players to hit low. Low hits on the knee.

    Never understood that rule.

Why? Nothing wrong with the hit. It's within the rules. It's the rule that causes that issue.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 20:09

I think the Pats' season is done if Gronk is out.

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 20:11

5-10 inches for Philly, so it could well be 8" on the field. But it's also got be hard to measure with it all being pushed around during the game.

Why did the Lion run it back, wasn't the ball down? pointless.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 20:31

The second half of this game has been oOK but large parts of the first half were terrible

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 20:58

    GB win.

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 20:58

    Another Eagles TD

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 20:58

Packers pick off Matt Ryan, Packers win w/o Rodgers - their season is still alive, esp with the Liuons losing, now by even more!

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:04

    Miami lead in Pittsburgh

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:06

Ravens took the lead against Minnesota, that's been reversed very quickly. Inside two minutes.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:07

Indy currently on half of the Bengals' score.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:09

    RAVENS LEAD AGAIN!

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:10

Vikings pooch kicked it, returned for a TD.

  • Kai08/12/2013 at 21:10

    Nice slide.

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 21:11

    Nice slide.

Why not take the TD though?

  • Kai08/12/2013 at 21:12

Why not take the TD though?

    run out clock, keep possession

  • Kai08/12/2013 at 21:12

    I loved that game.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:12

Why not take the TD though?

    Ice the game.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:13

Vikings haven't retaken the lead yet.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:15

Vikings haven't retaken the lead yet.

    You were saying?

  • Steven Roy08/12/2013 at 21:15

    I loved that game.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:16

    VIKINGS LEAD! THEY LEAD AGAIN!

    Brilliant!

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:17

    (Not so excited about that)

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:18

    TD Browns.

Does this mean the Pats are going to give up the #2 seed to the Bengals?

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:18

Pats also lost their last game against the Browns is 2010 :-/

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:19

Does this mean the Pats are going to give up the #2 seed to the Bengals?

    Depends on tie-breaker.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:19

Just realised the Vikes-Ravens game is the Purple-Bowl.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:22

Wait, what?! another TD in the purple game!?

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:22

Ravens look to have taken it!

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:22

Ravens awarded a TD, but I think it will get reversed on first look.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:23

Oh my, on second look, that's good. WOW.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:24

I think the Bengals will be 7-3 in Conf, compared to the Pats' 6-4, and the Bengals beat the Pats 13-6 on October 6th, so I think they'll go ahead.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:25

Wow, the Steelers game's ended in a frenzy too!

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:26

Steelers with an almost successful hook-&-ladder.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:26

Antonio Brown so nearly had it won.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:26

    Pats TD.

  • Kai08/12/2013 at 21:30

    WOW! Pats have it onsides.

  • Kai08/12/2013 at 21:31

That's close. Did it go to the 40 yd line?

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:31

Pats have the ball, but I don't think it went 10 yards.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:32

Doesn't look like it on the replay

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:32

Don't think you can reverse the call.

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:32

I think it touched a Brown.

  • Will^08/12/2013 at 21:35

PI in the endzone from a Brown - are they trying to lose?!

  • Noelinho08/12/2013 at 21:36

That's a soft call, but I remember the Pantheres game, so I'm calling that evens if we win.
