Doctor Who - The Wedding of River Song

Way back in April, we started an epic journey with the Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams, that involved an impossible astronaut, a lake, and the death of the man we all love so much. Now, several months, lots of exciting adventures, and a series break later, we have come full circle. We know the identity of River Song and how she fits into the world, but we don't know about her wedding!

From the first episode, we've been on quite the journey. We've found out what the TARDIS would be like as a human, we've pondered the morals of creating doppelgangers to do our dirty work for us, we've watched Amy age and then face up to the reality of the Doctor, and we've waved goodbye to our companions.

We know that the Doctor is signed up for another series, and we know that Amy and Rory will make appearances in series seven, if not be on screen full time. How are the writers going to get around the fact that they've apparently killed off the Doctor?

The show gets underway at 7:10pm on BBC1, and I'll be glued to my TV. I hope you'll join me!

  Both looking forward to this, baffled as to how they'll manage to not kill the Doctor, and worried in case it's a disappointment. But more looking forward than anything!

  Aren't they planning one? I seem to remember hearing something about them getting all the previous dr's together but that Eccleston was refusing to do it.

  Tom Baker has always been a sticking point when it came to doing more Doctor Who as well. In fact, apart from a single charity special, he refused to consider the character again until 2009, when he recorded an audio book.
