This year's championships are just a day old and are already providing some fabulous tennis. We've seen Djokovic and Federer go through in relatively straight forward fashion, with Sharapova following them after just a slightly hesitant second set. Venus Williams was sadly knocked out in the first round, although given the illness and injury she has been battling recently, it won't have come as a complete surprise. Sam Stosur, Li Na and Sabine Lisicki have all made it safely through to the second round. Today, many more hopefuls will attempt to join them.
Day 2 at Wimbledon

Anyone here? Watson is doing really well against Schiavone. My guess of two going through is in risk.
sort of. just watching a bit before work.
although it's robson isn't it?
Maybe. I'm all confused today.
hehe. live blog will set ya straight: http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/news/log/2012-06-26/201206261340700524100.html
Francesca Schiavone has gone AWOL from No.3 Court, leaving Laura Robson swishing air shots at the back of the court to try and keep moving. The Italian seems to have a back problem which required off-court treatment.
hi
just watching tomic who is 1 set up right now he is our (aussie) only hope but he is not good enough yet, hopefully he gets through to the quareters or semis but thats about the best we can hope for.
good to see 'aussie' laura having a good match. (if she start winning we will claim her)
Goo Laura! :)
tomic 1 set all and now down a break in the third, also minus a raquet which he just smashed.
well bernard is out now and leyton is playing tsonga. looks like stosur may be the only aussie going through to the second round.
oh oh here comes the rain
ahhhh!
they dont muck around when they bring the covers on, even the players need to get off quick or they will be bowled over
...anyone seen tomic?
:)
i think he is on the next plane home
hehehehe
pop in for some tennis? dont mind if i do :)
ooh yay for tsonga's straight sets victory today.
nadal wins in straight sets too, simple enough.
time for andy.
did it stop raining yet?
nadal's just won and andy's on in a sec so people are playing, yep!
cool, will tune in.
tim henman sounds like christian horner.
who's
timandy playing>davydenko!
i recognise his name for some reason and I don't know why.
great name :)
the russian daffy duck.
oddly, have to switch over to bbc hd now. they've only played 4 points. #timingiseverything
just switched to bbc2. it's awfully similar to bbc1
:)
good serving game from murray. The fact tennis players can hit a ball over 100mph is ridiculous
murray breaks daffy :)
Just in time to see Murray break.
christine! look what turned up today!

Sooo good!
john mcenroe keeps saying djokovic as 'joe-ko-vic'. it's off putting!
first set to andy, good start.
it's going well for the brits today!
sir terry wogan! get him on commentary.
Andy is doing impressively well so far. I thought he might struggle in his opener.
His build up seemed a bit off too, but he is doing very well today.
Match point already, he's not hanging about.
easy peasy for andy!
I like the crowd interaction, but I would just die if someone threw a sweaty towel at me.
My favourite part of Wimbledon is McEnroe pronouncing British place names.
Hehehe.
I would love to hear him tackle Llanelli.
did you ever see steve carrell attempt aberwyswyth?
Where are my manners:

I'm doing it like that from now on.
"Sun and clouds, mixed together, making... nothing."
I watched none of this because I was recovering from my 4am bedtime the night before but I'm soooo happy Bernard lost! And his press conference was ridiculous. Learn how old you're "supposed" to be Bernie.
