The final round of the 2014 ice cross championship returns to its spiritual home in Canada, with the season finale in Quebec. There are always a bumper crop of Canadian racers hoping to participate in their home race, get to attempt the finals, and of course win the event. The 2014 World Championship is also at stake as this final round gets underway at the longest track on this year's Crashed Ice calendar - it's bound to be a breathtaking ride from start to finish!

Hello all, running order for round of 64 here http://www.redbullcrashedice.com/en_INT/results Click on Finals tab
Look like Callum Boyd got through, representing Scotland in Heat 7
Evening. 23:30-start is a bit rich for me... I won't make it past many races. Nm :)
Sorry I can't join you guys, I need sleep for the run tomorrow
Sleep well and cool running(s)
Good luck!
Feed is up
Sounds like it's the ladies first
Evening all. Not sure how much I willl be commenting since I have been in bed ill all week and by the time I have typed a comment I will have missed the next race
:( for being ill
That step up lloks like it will cause problems
Jumping gaps is going to be difficult for the women
That jump into the finish looks like it's going to take a few victims
Looks like an interesting course
They are not going to be running any reverse races on that track
In the men's championship, Marco Dallago will win if Cameron Naasz is not first. If Naasz is first, Dallago needs to have scored more than 160 points which he will do if he is around 15th. As far as I can tell, no one else can be overall champion
I think I prefer the long courses like this one to the short fast ones
The longer courses are much better
Agreed
Scott in this one
That's me I think. Have a good one.
'Night
Night Will
Evening all! For some reason, I thought this would be Sunday. Still in F1 mode I guess...
Hey Chris
Gone to review
Not sure I like seeing the gap on the on board camera
Looks like someone could get hurt there
Callum Boyd in this round
Boyd in this one
Tough draw against Lavrov and Dugerdil
M Dallfo in this heat
reverse cam is fun
I love that they mounted the camera backwards because they knew he'd be in the lead :D
Crash at the end
Such a great idea
He is leading the championhip
Wedge and Melse coming up
Wedge was a bit brave cruising up to that gap
Naasz up
Naasz showing off on the last jump
Kyle in the next round
Not often someone gets a jump like that on Kyle at the start
Really working hard for the win in this heat
ZOMG!!!
forgot.
Still in the round of 64
Just near the end of r of 64
phew. that's twice this season. so distracted.
If only you d a website that reminded you of future events
he he he
:) :)
All the big names are through
ta. how's the course?
Love it, gap at the end might be interesting
Better than all but St Paul
What is this?
the future of sport :)

Under review
I didn't know they were tagged at the ankle, makes sense
Silly mistake by Adam Green
110,000 people, how do you see anything?
the atmosphere must be pretty amazing tho.
Definitely, think you would go for the craic and watch the race on replay when you get home
They have a 100m long rookie track
this is exactly how formula e should pitch their event.
"who won the event?"
"who knows, it was just amazing being there"
scotty!
off topic, but while we wait - why did no-one tell us to watch 'the blind side' before? brilliant film and it has sporting stuff in it. saw it for the first time this evening.
Not seen it, will have to look it up
cannot recommend it enough. 5 out of 5.
Never heard of it
nfl and it's a true-ish story.
there's a massive hole in this track.
It could be interesting as the ice wears & the racing hots up
go over that on your backside and you'll feel it. wowsers/
It and the step up at the start looked a lot more dangerous in the women's quarter finals
Scotty in this one
this the best course. perhaps better than the corkscrew from last year?
I like that they are working all the way down, no areas for coasting
wowowwowowowo
360 in the air and lands on his kneees?
Going out in style
It is impossible to imagine how evil the track builders will be in a few years time
loop the loop :)
Maybe as an option to a long slow section
do we have any predictions for today? who does this kinda of track favour.
Looks like a power track bu Kyle struggled earlier
really can't tell, so many variables
Marco Dallago in this round with Scooby
it's like he's skating on rails.
dallago is champ now?
Dallago is world champion, now racing for this event
Probably a good tip fpr favourite
came from nowhere. won the championship. impressive.
Dallago had to get 160 points which I think he has done by going into the last 16
well done wedgy.
He's so happy to get through
Kyle in this round
Much better start by Kyle. de Paoli got a massive jump on him in the first round
I do love the name Schwinghammer, it sounds made up for a comedy sketch
Under review
Sounds like he should be a general in Allo Allo
Bad decision. That encorages elbowing
agreed.
If only hammer was the German word for elbow he would be living up to his name
Photo at the end
phew!
niefy down :(
and injured.
On an uphill bit
Looked like Niefy's toe hit first and dug in
This one's going to be interesting, Marco, Naasz & Wedge
massive.
need to see that again
Looks like his feet went from under him
brilliant finish from wedge.
f1 needs more jumps :)
and ice
yus!
It started going the wrong way when they stopped designing cars to suit the tracks and started designing tracks to suit increasingly rigid cars. For a long time jumps were a big part of tracks
true enough. what i guess i meant, was f1 needs big gaps in the track :)
although i guess canada tried that.
Not a great idea with cars that make that much downforce
Ladies semi finals
heheh. fun finish into the wall :)
Potential for a Croxall / Dallago brothers final
Scotty just disappeared
finished up on the wall :) :)
oooh!
Getting out of the way of the sliders
Must remember not to shout at the PC at 1:36am
damn
:)
Kyle has had a horrible season
I am going to tip Scotty for the win
#sorryChristine
nooooo, she's asleep!
Whilst Marco has won the championship, Scott will take second in the championship, even if he comes fourth in the race, as Naasz is not in the final.
Wonder why they turned Gallago's go pro round. Rear view in the first race was fab
super impressive. can't believe it's all about to be over for another year.
mabe they think he'll be last ;)
Great race, Marco Dallago wins again
mega
Total domination by Marco this season
Does that make Scotty 2nd overall?
Yes, If I've counted correctly, Marc will have 3800 points, Scotty 2390, Naasz 1960, Luca 1600
I didn#t realise Luca was so far up in the championship
such a great event
He had 5th, 9th & 10th but that gave him 1000 points so with the 600 for 3rd it bumps him up. http://www.redbullcrashedice.com/en_INT/results & click on 2014 to see points from the last 3 races
Thanks Janna
We'll wait for the official result to see if my mental maths is functioning correctly at this time of night
I need to sleep, thanks for the company guys, really enjoyed this season
you nailed the results bar naasz! sleep well :)
Night Janna. Didn't think I would make it this far but the company was good
*high fives*
cheers for the comments and reminding us this was on :)
Aww, sad I missed it, but sounds like Scotty did well. Great comments to read back on, peeps. Thanks for the Crashed Ice fun this year!
