The Crashed Ice championship returns to the wintry climes of Russia, as Moscow prepares to host the third round of the 2014 season. Having not been to the country since 2011, there are plenty of those new to the city, and to the track situated on the banks of the Moskva river. Apparently, the last visit to Russia was the coldest in ice cross downhill history, "with temperatures plunging as low as a bone-chilling minus 30 degrees celsius." I don't envy the skaters or anyone in the crowds!
Crashed Ice, Round 3 - Moscow

Track! http://www.redbullcrashedice.com/en_INT/video/moscow-track-explanation
It looks good, the bit at the end, wide and with a sprint to the finish might be good.
Hello all, running order for Round of 64 here http://www.redbullcrashedice.com/en_INT/results on the Finals tab. Looks likes the Croxalls and Dallagos are drawn far enough apart that they don't meet their brothers until later in the competition.
All-brother final :)
Why can't this be on when I'm not out working? ;)
Can't please everyone :)
I know I know. Enjoy it :)
Crashed Iiiiice!
Hey.
I've done my tasks for the day and my running too so I can finally chill out and watch some awesome sport.
*Waves to Lukeh* very impressed with your running earlier
Thanks Janna, hope you had a nice birthday too :)
We're doing the 6 mile sports relief run in Newport at the end of the month so I'm getting myself prepared
Birthday was great thanks, out tonight for another one.
Good for you, have you tweeted a sponsorship link??
Bizarrely we don't seem to have an open sponsorship. My friend is getting the details sorted but he said the entry donation required to Sports Relief from us as runners is the only sponsorship they ask for.
OK, will look out for how to donate on the day
Feed is live if you refresh the page
Looks a tough one
I like the going up bit at the beginning
hey all!
Oops, nearly missed the start. With it now!
Afternoon all. Will be here for a bit but I will miss the end
That guy at the back is luminous!
I like this course, think the bit with the sloped sides is going to be interesting when there's four of them together
reverse gopro!
Anyone got the feed working?
Shane Nuttley. There is a reason they call him Nuts
Mine's fine, I did refresh the page
Yes.
Tried a few hard refreshes, black square :(
He was kinda moonwalking across the line. Love it.
:( :(
this one is working: http://live.redbull.tv/events/327/red-bull-crashed-ice-2014-moscow-russia/
I don't think he knows it is a race
maybe the red bull app on your ipod?
on board camera makes the track look really narrow
From some angles that looks like a very wide finish area
Maybe that is why the finish looked wide
hmm, working on IE. Weird
I have it running on Firefox
2 Finns including Mikkkka
belly flop start :)
Lots of jumps on this one
Bellyflopped that one!
Oops, I'm so behind :)
Leippilampi is a fantastic name.
No-one knew because you posted that right as they showed the replay
kyle!
Perfect!
Kyle and Mels both down
woah! That was unexpected
Kyle out but complaining
All went for the same space
So many tumbles!
If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a crashed ice... icer.
Bonus shot of Scotty
He is going to beat big brother in the championship this year
The big bump on the left hander reminds me of the bump on the run from Casino Square to Mirabeau at Monaco
It's about time!
Did the commentator just say: "These guys had an interesting story to tell in the hotel the other night?"
Cos you can't just say that and then move on.
Looks like the track conditions are horrible but it's making for a good race
(Cut & paste this comment to F1 sometime this year)
Yes but I didn't catch why
"A little bit of a garage sale" What??
I don't think he said why. Mean.
That was a good one.
NIEFY!!!
niefy :)
Looks like Niefy has finally discovered his old form
Hurrah for Moriarty!
Oh no, moriarty's all over the place!
Schwinghammer is a great name
Never seen so many people go down at the start and never get close to the rest later in the race
I love that they have to use such tiny text to fit it in :)
That is a cracker. Shame he is not a hammer thrower
Loving that's it's impossible to call even at this stage with all the people falling over
Wedge.
High fives all the way down the finish straight
Looked faster than some previous runs.
Or maybe less of an effort since they had a lead
On board :)
Oof, the on board makes me super dizzy on this track! :)
Wow, up on the wall
Scotty up next with Callum Boyd
He said Callum weird.
Caorrlum
*corrlum
What an outfit he's wearing
Scottish Crashed Ice icer????
He's been on before, qualified end of last year
Red with bule and white helmet
That was cocky from Klintrup!
I hope he gets to do more events
he seems to be at all of them. I think he didn't get past elimination last time
Phew! Like that Scottish guy with tartan shorts.
The determination on their faces in the slo-mos is amazing.
He's on twitter https://twitter.com/CallumBoyd93
I followed him.
Alanis!
that man was doing the luge.
Weird shirts
T. Witty is funny. Twitty.
oh my god!
I have to go now. Hope the rest of the event is exciting and everyone wnjoys it
laters sir.
We'll cheer Neify for ya :)
yes! we are ready, stop asking!
free red bull!!
they're giving away adrian's failed new updates ;)
Loving their list of things to do! 3) Beat Marco Dallago.
hehe
Under review?
So many reviews!
So many reviews! F1 on ice :)
Not quite, they tell you the decision straight away ;)
:D
Naasz is up.
great move for 2nd!
Easy for Cameron.
He tried giving Naasz the russian flag and naasz was all I'm not holding that
Niefy next.
Niefy down!
great camera angle!
He just makes it!
On the last corner for Niefy. Phew!
Great view of the race
Nice move Niefy to get that back
Moriarty vs Wedgalicious
c'mon wedge
He hit the wall!
bah
poor derek :(
Really close
but wait! more reviews
Lots of ice being kicked up in this one.
"The Crashed Ice Review Round"
Stewards getting paid per review, clearly.
Eeek, tough round.
shaky!
Needs to watch out for those pesky walls.
Scotty's on a role, beam him up.
goooo twitty
twitty corner fail
That was a fun fight. Helmet cams really good this week.
Goooo niefy
That was a heck of a dive!
Ouch..
gah
Niefy is a goner!
Huge finish for second!
why did neify slow there?!
Big fall for Lavrov, will see if it affects him later
totally winded.
Dude crosses the line on his knees.
Showboating at the end
That really was a showboat finish!
Close finish!
noooooo?!?!
Photo finish
Ack, rage.
Muller gets it? That was a real crunch corner.
I hate this stoopid sport.
:)
dawww
Hehehe.
18,500 people? that's tiny,
they misplace 80,000 fans?
Okay, sulk over, bring on the next round.
down again!
Mels nearly tripped over the finish line.
thought mels had that.
sorry, lavrov. mels was last.
I think if Marco Dallago wins tonight he's won the championship
Another photo
Three across the line!
total chaos.
woah!!!!
Wow a complete tie
"Not unexpected, but unexpected." Hmm.
This is definitely a good idea
None of the bikes crashed.
All went better than expected!
Final time
I'm saying Moriarty!
I want Naasz but not sure he'll do it
reckon he will. had such good starts this evening.
Moriarty's first final? pressure.
Doesn't look like the pressure is getting to him though.
gopro's all round.
His adventure with Sherlock will prepare him
what?!
speeeeeeeeeeed
YEAH
Naaaaaasz
Wow, great final
That was fab.
Fantastic
People love Naasz
Dallago wins world championship
christ
Vettel-esque :)
double points for Quebec?
Scotty was second and Mels third so both of them not being in the final helped him out
:)
YUS!
Looks like I was wrong, Naasz could take it next round
phew
Dallago mugging in the background. They're so fun.
*falls asleep*
I'm off, wine and curry night, have fun folks, thanks for the commenting, see you for Quebec
Have fun janna :)
Lots of fun, thanks people. Till next time!
time to do some writing. Aweosme entertainment as always!
