The first week of this year's French Open has been a battle for many of the top names. Both Williams sisters went out in the first round, whilst Federer, Murray and Djokovic have been losing sets all over the place. Azarenka also lost her match today, crashing out of the tournament. This second week looks set to provide plenty more entertainment as the field narrows and the matches get tougher. Keep an eye open for any surprises!

What has happened to Tsonga? It's falling to pieces!
He is falling apart a bit isnt he? 7 games ina row lost now
oops, i meant to say most of his last 7 games lost. obviously not in a row as he won the set 4 games ago :)

Slightly better now, I thought he was going to give this set up for lost a minute or two ago.

Wawrinka has broken back, so they are back on serve in the fifth set. Tricky for Tsonga.

Guy just said that in the time it has taken Murray and Gasquet to get one set each, Nadal beat Monaco who is one of the better clay court players. 6-2 6-0 6-0.
