There were a lot of surprise results in week 1 as teams find their feet and battle to set the form guide in their favour, and we can expect more of the same in week 2. The Ravens blew past the Steelers on TNF, which although the result wasn’t a surprise, the 26-6 scoreline sure was! First up the Atlanta Falcons are hosted by the Cincinnati Bengals (18:00 Sun – Sky Sports) – both teams have stacked offences, but it’s the Bengals’ D that might be the difference maker. Next the Kansas City Chiefs travel to the Denver Broncos (21:25 Sun – Sky Sports) – speaking frankly, there shouldn’t be much in Peyton’s way in this one. Last up the San Francisco 49ers play the Chicago Bears (01:30 Mon – C4) – the Bears could well be without their top 2 Wide Receivers, so is game is shaping up to be the ‘9ers to lose!
NFL Week 2

Another great slate of games... dunno which ones I'm going to follow yet.
Come on Falcons!
I just swooned so hard at that Matt Ryan interview.

Cowboys just kicked off.
Parachutist just landed on the field in Buffalo.
Pats kicking to the Vikings.
Bills get the ball first against the Dolphins.
Bryant caught a 17-yard catch and went to the locker room.
I'm watching New England, Bills and Cowboys.

Cardianls RD - Larry Fitzgerald.
They're now reviewing it.
Brees sacked at the 1-foot line.

*3rd
So, from 1st down on the 11, they have a 48-yard field goal try.
FG is good. 3-0.
Des Bryant isn't happy at all.
Moreno seems to have picked up a knock in Buffalo.
Miami punt blocked.
Knowshon Moreno goes down. Possible hand injury.
DeSean Jackson down too.
Edelman fumble. Patriots came up with it, somehow.
Buffalo FG. 6-0.
Cards and Pats both get FGs. Cousins in for Washington.
RGIII will not return.
AJ Green out for the game.
Cousins throws a TD (Paul).
They've now marked him at the 1.
Moreno out, DeJax out
DeJax is questionable, last I heard?
Manning fumble!
Redskins TD.
Alfred Morris.
The Bills are all over the Dolhpins' o-line.
Dolphins punt on 4th and 36. Ouch.
I think I missed a Murray TD. 10-0 Cowboys.
Revis intercepts Cassel. Two picks today.
Buffalo FG is good. 9-0.
Mike Nugent misses a 2nd kick for the day,
Official too, DeJax out for the game.
TD Patriots. Edelman,
Wow, just seen my first snap from Detroit and Carolina. Clearly not a great game.
Carolina FG. 3-0.
My fantasy team so far has 1.4 points... I feel this is not going to be my week
Not seen anything on the highlights they are showing on Sky Sports or anything at all really.
Must say it all.
TD Washinton - Morris
Alfred Morris has put my team on his back.
Graham FG is good. trail 10-3.
Randle TD reception for the Giants.
Brees pick 6.
Browns need to learn to play like this in both halves!
Browns muffed the snap on the XP and turn it into a fialed 2PC.
*failed
Cowboys FG is good. Lead 16-0.
TD Saints
NE Defence TD
Play of the day so far, for me.
Mike Nugent will be a free agent tomorrow. 3 misses on the day for him. Single handely keeping the Falcons in the game.
Cousins is 11/11, 131 yards, TD. Decent.
Oh, wow. Saw Fox video of Griffin's ankle. It won't be straight for a while.
Jags trail 21-7.
Kirk Cousins to save the redskins?
Well with his current figures, and Griffin's last year and last week, why not make him the starter?
Seriously?! He scored 5 last week to get the Bengals up and running...
Jacksonville just called a timeout with 0:03 left in the 2nd quarter, on 4th and 20, with the Redskins nowhere near organised to get a play off. Weird.
Doug Martin is inactive for Tampa.
Titans TD
Delaney Walker.
TD Bills. CJ Spiller, I think.
Dam, Sanu with a long long long td for the Bengals.
CAAAAAAM... back to throwing TDs!
Hopefully not too many.
Nate Solder managed to get penalised three times in two plays.
That is a seriously good effort!
There's possibly a new play of the day - Cowboyd intercept Jake Locker (or it will be after the challenge, anyway)
*Coyboys
**Cowboys, whatever
Easy for you to type ;)
The shame is, he returned it for a TD. But the whistle may have been blown. Not sure yet.
TD Bills, pending review.
Oh yes, that's a TD.
Sammy Watkins.
Cowboys pick it is. But no return.
Cards FG, trail by 1.
Brees clobbered by 2 Browns
TD Saints. Ingram. Level with Xp to come.
Pats TD. Lead 30-7.
Cards TD. Punt return. They lead.
Cards recover Giants kickoff return fumble.
Edelman looks to be having a great day for the Pats. Not seen any numbers, but he's featuring quite a bit/
Cards FG good, lead by 8.
Edelman: 81 receiving yards, 9 rushing, TD.
=16 Fantasy points
Bills Fg good, lead by 16.
Wow, Bengals thumping Falcons 24-3
Yeah, Falcons have been poor.
I saw someone score, but I can't remember who. Washington, I think.
Apologies, all.
TD Panthers. Maybe TD Titans too. No, ball was out, I think.
Carolina, Jonathon Stewart maybe?
I flicked mid-play, so didn't catch who it was.
Julio Jones, 14 yard touchdown. 44-10 to the Bengals.
44-10?
24-10, we haven't been that bad.
Phew, thought I'd accidentally been watching an hour behind for a minute there!
Giants shoot themselves in the foot, again.
What happened? I don't have that one up.
Rashed Jennings fumble after a catch, no real pressure from the corner back.
Miami punt returner dropped the ball, Bills have it inside the 10.
Why was a re-kick ordered in Cincinnati?
Pats INT. 3rd of the day, I think.
We were making an onside kick and the Cinnci ordered a time out before the kick.
Browns could win this...
I hope the Browns do win.
Browns at midfield with <60s to play
8 seconds left, in kicking range it looks like.
Looks like the Browns are about to try to kick a FG (ftw) from 40 yards
Billy Cundiff - he's never missed a big FG before...
Hehehehe
How does he not get the TD from there?
TD Vikings
Because the ball was underthrown.
Browns score, but still time for a KO (3s)
Vikings TD overturned.
Cassel mashed into the turf on the next play.
BROWNS WIN!
Factory of
SadGladness!!Pats win.
Two of the late games have already kicked off.
Dolphins haven't been good today.
Bills are top of the AFC East - who would've predicted that?!
Next up - [email protected]
Bold prediction - Chargers win.
Well, me, since I predicted them to win today!
Before the season :P
Less bold prediction: they won't.
TD Tampa
McCown with the keeper
Bolts take an early 3pt lead
Jets - Packers and Texans-Raiders about to start.
Also KC-Denver, but it's blacked out for me
Pack get the ball first.
Not really paying attention tonight but KC decided to kick off in Denver. First play Manning threw for 48 yards
TD Rams
Who to?
The Rams aren't meant to be any good!
It is Tampa.
Packers have already fumbled
I think Cooper. Never heard of Cooper before
It was Sanders, I think, looking at the replay in another game.
From Twitter: SD scores on opening drive, first team to score on opening drive vs. Sea since '12.
TD Denver - Julius Thomas
Looks like JThomas is Peyton Manning's #1 Thomas
TD Seahawks, but wasn't Harvin out? Had no comms on, but he looked out to me out of the corner of my eye. Was it given?
TD Jets
Yp - I'm looking at the replay now - out at the 22.
He was way out. Even from the main TV angle it's clear.
TD Foster. Houston lead.
41 yards.
SD dropped the ball in not challenging that!
....wait, all scoring plays are (supposed to be) reviewed
You can;t challenge a scoring play.
Hence my next comment
Wait, what? Houston TD (JJ Watt), to lead 6-0. No idea what happened to the Foster TD.
What happened with the Foster TD? Why is JJ Watt getting a TD?
Glad I'm not the only one confused by that.
Jamaal Charles on the sidelines (foot).
RGIII has a dislocated ankle.
JJ What?!
That Houston jumbo package was brilliant!
Moreno has a dislocated elbow.
AJ Green has turf toe, whatever that is…
Jets running right through the Packers at the moment.
TD Jets. Decker.
Aren't the Pack without their nose tackle BJ Raji?
Chargers are in the end zone, but there are flags on the play
Think so, yes.
That's gotta hurt their run D
Gone inside now
TD Chargers. Rivers-Gates have 62 together now.
Jets 14-0 up.
Chargers D are handling the Seattle O
GB FG.
Also, Jeff Tripplette-watch: he's at the Rams game. So no-one will care about his awful calls today.
Chargers add another 3.
Tampa-Rams suspended. Lightning in the area.
Seattle fumble the KO, SD recover
Rams' 3rd-string QB is being assessed. They may need to go for their 4th choice.
(Theitr 4th choice is Keenum - which seems a bit harsh on him!)
SD 20-7 up
This is looking good.
Your Bolts prediction ;)
Seattle claw back a TD, should be 14-20 after the Xpt.
Denver TD - Tamme
KC 10 - Den 14
HT
Just seen a replay of RG3's ankle - ouch!
Yeah, but the good news is it's not broken as far as they know.
Reports so far say dislocated
Haven't seen it but as soon as I heard about it I thought about Joe Theissman. I can still picture what happened to him.
GB can't score while camped in the Jet's redzone - taking the FG to now sit 21-6 behind
Bad decision. If they hadn't converted on 4th, at least the Jets would've been backed up.
Raiders couldn't be any more hopeless if they tried, sometimes.
hey all, what ya watching?
Sky games is Chiefs-Broncos
I'm watching Redzone, Texans-Raiders, Jets-Packers, Seahawks-Chargers.
that'll do.
Hi Mr C
The Sky game has not been grat so far but still more than a half to go.
I've got Chargers-Seahawks & RedZone on.
my first game of the year. i spy new bose headsets.
No more Motorola. I guess Bose pay more money
it's a bit odd that they're meant to be super noise cancelling to aid the transfer of information without distraction, but then they're all wearing them only on one ear.
They also use tablets to review plays on the sidelines now, and all the teams use tablets to go through their plays too.
Doesn't matter how often I see it I just love watching Peyton get defences to jump with the hard count
oooh, the surface's from the fridge? forgot about them. cool.
That is so they can talk to people next to them who don't have them
redzone update. there's a game being played on a baseball field?!?
ah-ha.
Yes, the Raiders play in some weird, dual-purpose stadium.
what an insane kinda genius.
The Raiders share the stadium with the Oakland As
Almost back on again in Tampa
should pair them with the local pool. touchdown in the deep end :)
Happens a lot. Yankee stadium gets used by a college football team and a soccer team.
♥
TD Demarius Thomas
That makes sense, but isn't a baseball field a different shape?
beautiful
I missed it. But I'll take the fantasy points.
They're back in Tampa.
Very. It's like a cheese wedge. Some places have front sections to grandstands that can move so if they need a bigger pitch for one sport that section disappears under the front of the grandstand
TD Pack.
Heh, cool.
Used to happen at Candlestick and the old Dolphins stadium
Rivers' numbers are twice as good as Wilson's numbers!
Oh my goodness, Gates has been phenomenal today.
Jamaal Charles will not return.
Lynch TD.
10 minute drive by KC results in a missed FG
I'm off y'all. Going to listen to the last from these games in bed
Night Will^
Steven, have you checked your fantasy team at all ... They are destroying Kai!
Packers lead.
Jets-Pack tied at 24.
I haven't done anything with my fantasy team. I didn't even pick any players. I wouldn't know where to find it
TD KC
Gamepass on my PC has crashed. So I'm down to one game.
Denver have lost a lot to penalties tonight. Talib just intercepted the QB and returned it for a TD. Penalty on the play. They already had two 15 yard penalties that cost them huge plays
DeMarcus Ware sacks Alex Smith and Broncos recover the ball.
Play under review and may be incomplete pass
Incomplete it is
Broncos win 24-17
