The last stop before the big finale; we’re about to find out the best team in each conference. Majority consensus tells us that we’ve matchups between the top four teams in the League. Two of the NFL’s old guard of QBs face off again; it’s Brady-verses-Manning XV. The New England Patriots’ Tom Brady has now been to two thirds of the AFC Championship games that he has had available to him, and a win means similarly he’d have visited half of the Super Bowls (20:00 Sun – SkySports). Whereas the Denver Broncos’ Peyton Manning commands an offensive juggernaut that recently claimed the majority of the NFL’s passing and scoring records. The second of the two games pits two teams from the NFC West against each other, and with it two of the new school of QBs; Russell Wilson’s Seattle Seahawks host Colin Kaepernick’s San Francisco 49ers (23:30 Sun – Sky Sports). It’s not just an on-field rivalry field; Head Coaches Pete Carroll and John Harbaugh despise each other. Expect fireworks!

I am really looking forward to tonight's games. Broncos and Seahaws for me

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 19:43

Hello all. Anybody but the Patriots, please.

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 19:49

The CBS pregame show is ludicrous. That guy has a broom...

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:06

    Denver to kick off... NOW.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:06

Denver stop the Pats first drive, 3 and out.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:09

    Pats go 3 and out.

That is a traditional opening to a sidepodcast NFL game

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:09

When we started watching NFL games it seemed like every game started with a 3 and out

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:10

When we started watching NFL games it seemed like every game started with a 3 and out

    :) Defensive.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:11

That was horrible. Peyton juggled the ball half a dozen times and still go the first down

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:11

Pats have lost 2 key pieces up the middle of their D - Moreno should make hay when asked to.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:12

Peyton forcing the Pats to lighten the box to cover all his weapons, then the running can begin.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:14

Another punt?! I felt sure this was going to be an offensive game.

    LOL

    That must be my cue.

    Hi guys.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:15

Another punt?! I felt sure this was going to be an offensive game.

It will be. Given them a few minutes to settle down

    Hi Kai

It wasn't a Sunday night game without you saying "3 and out". :)

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 20:18

"Hey, ready to go to the game?"

    "Yeah."

"You got the fence? I've got the D."

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 20:19

Not much to go on in the game so far. Peyton needs to get going.

That would be nice. You guys get better coverage.

You need access to Sky coverage

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:22

Was American Football designed so that it would maximise the opourtunity for showing advertising?

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 20:22

Having moved out from home, if I want Sky coverage I'll be two minutes behind. Bloody Sky Go.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:23

    Broncos w/ a 3rd and 10.

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 20:23

Was American Football designed so that it would maximise the opourtunity for showing advertising?

Yes. Just like all American sports events and other shows.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:24

Was American Football designed so that it would maximise the opourtunity for showing advertising?

Looks that way. Why else have a 2 minute warning?

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 20:25

Looks that way. Why else have a 2 minute warning?

TV timeouts at games. They stop for no other reason than for ads to be shown to people watching at home.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:26

Looks like Denver are going to have to settle for 3

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:27

I wonder whether we will get to see Brady calling his FIDO audible tonight.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:32

    Lovely design on that play

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 20:34

I'm enjoying watching individual players today - Edelman and Decker. I don't really care who wins this one.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:35

Great coverage on that play. If Edelman had a yard of space that could have been very different

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:36

I'm enjoying watching individual players today - Edelman and Decker. I don't really care who wins this one.

Broncos might make a better opponent in the Super Bowl, but I'd probably rather see Brady continue.

  • Noelinho19/01/2014 at 20:38

The NFC Champions will win the Super Bowl.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:38

I think the Broncos will win the Superbowl

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:38

    I'll sign on to that.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:39

If the Broncos lose that CB as well as the one last week, Brady could be handed the advantage.

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 20:40

Reinebold on the SkyPad. Very nice.

Yep. Glad I decided to switch to Sky Go and take being a minute or so behind...

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:42

I would never have estimated the first quarter points total at 3

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:45

There seem to have been an awful lot of players injured and requiring treatment in the playoffs

    GREAT pass.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:52

    Montana - Fat man???

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:52

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:52

    Great play

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:52

And if JThomas had continued blocking downfield it could've gone all the way

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:53

    Erm DThomas.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:53

Everytime Denver go up the middle they seem to get close to 10 yards

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:53

Everytime Denver go up the middle they seem to get close to 10 yards

NE missing their huge NT and key run-stuffing ILBs.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:54

Looks like the Pats watched last week's game and decided that they are not going to jump offside regardless what Peyton says

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:55

    Spider spice?

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:55

    Touchdown

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 20:55

    Tamme?! Why not JThomas?

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:56

    I think I need a translation of Peyton's calls

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:56

    Tamme?! Why not JThomas?

    Cost me points too

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 20:58

I love all the coverage Peyton's Omahas get but Omaha was traditionally a Giants thing. Eli and his predecessors have beein doing it for years and no-one cares

  • Noelinho19/01/2014 at 20:59

We should've taped the practice sessions.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 21:01

I love all the coverage Peyton's Omahas get but Omaha was traditionally a Giants thing. Eli and his predecessors have beein doing it for years and no-one cares

Apparently Brady used it in 2001 - I think it has been attributed to Bill Parcels' playbook.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 21:02

Ouchy, Pats looking likely to lose their #1 CB.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:06

I wonder how long before Omaha gets a team

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 21:07

Peyton's face will be the logo.

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 21:08

Every time Peyton says Omaha his foundation gets $500

Why doesn't he just go around going "OMAHA OMAHA OMAHA OMAHA"

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:09

Why doesn't he just go around going "OMAHA OMAHA OMAHA OMAHA"

Last weeks the Chargers would have doubled the amount to stop him shouting it.

I guess the next thing will be another city asking him to use their name

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 21:09

Why doesn't he just go around going "OMAHA OMAHA OMAHA OMAHA"

    :D

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 21:09

Mile High turns up the volume for the Pats' possessions.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:10

Pats get their first points with 3 minutes left in the half.

  • Noelinho19/01/2014 at 21:15

See that Welker catch? We miss that.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:18

This late in the play offs you should not be giving away a first down on 2nd and 20

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 21:19

Manning + DThomas are loving not having Talib on D.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:19

I love that the Kraft family have cards with their names on them that can only be read from outside the window of their box.

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 21:20

    Ouch at that hit.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:23

Calling the time out then going for the field goal is stupid. He had they whole play clock time before he had to call a time out

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 21:23

Calling the time out then going for the field goal is stupid. He had they whole play clock time before he had to call a time out

Brady gets ~20s and 2 timeouts to work with.

  • Noelinho19/01/2014 at 21:24

Calling the time out then going for the field goal is stupid. He had they whole play clock time before he had to call a time out

But if they don't take the time out, they lose the option to go for it. That's why they did it.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:27

But if they don't take the time out, they lose the option to go for it. That's why they did it.

I don't get why he would delay making the decision to go for the field goal knowing that he was giving the opposition to go for 7. Either call the field go straight away of commit to 4th and 1

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:27

    goal not go

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 21:28

Decent half. Broncos score first possession of the 2nd and it'll be hard for the Pats to come back.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:37

ha. So dumb. But yeah, confident.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 21:41

It's not like it's a years that can easily changed to accommodate winning next year instead.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:41

Here's something for HT - bad commentary: http://t.co/N0JOGVaLKQ

We need commentary like that more often.

Never heard a commentator say "the line up with their bums out" before

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:42

It's not like it's a years that can easily changed to accommodate winning next year instead.

    hahaha

"A man from prison comes onto the field. What's he got to say?"

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 21:54

    TD donkeys

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:54

Perfect for Denver. Took half of the quarter to go the length of the field and Demaryius Thomas gets the TD

    Montana fat man works again

    Winding up the '9ers already?

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 21:56

    Winding up the '9ers already?

As one of the Sky studio guys said earlier it is a bit unfair to pick on Joe Montana

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 22:03

That is a bad drop. Guaranteed 1st down

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 22:05

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 22:08

Pats going for it on 4th and 2 or just trying to get the Broncos to jump?

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 22:10

    Brady sacked

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 22:13

    Great throw and catch again

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 22:15

The Denver defence has given up a huge number of points this year. I thought each team would score a minimum of 30 points

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 22:18

The Denver defence has given up a huge number of points this year. I thought each team would score a minimum of 30 points

Yeah, both teams have potent offenses and dodgy defences. Can't say I'm not loving this though.

Yeah, both teams have potent offenses and dodgy defences. Can't say I'm not loving this though.

There has been some great stuff in the game. It's a bit odd though watching Peyton with lots of time on his hands

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 22:23

I think the Broncos should have gone for that. A field goal makes no real difference and even if they had failed to get the TD the Pats would have been in horrible field position

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 22:24

    Sorry for the double.

I think there should be a link in there somewhere

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 22:52

    2PT No good

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 22:53

    Still a 2-score game.

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 22:53

It seems the Broncos really did their homework for this game. I'm anxious to get onto the next one.

I am sure so are the Broncos

Gah! Meant to copy the link. I'm out of it.

I have string but it is only about 50 feet long

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 22:57

    Brady facepalm

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 22:57

I have string but it is only about 50 feet long

And I happen to be on the wrong coast to source the game sound directly, but these are minor details.

I've got one from that list that isn't geoblocked but I don't know if it's actually carrying the game - do all of the stations on that list have the game guaranteed?

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 22:57

    Brady facepalm

At least he found Fido. That's got to count for something.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 22:58

And I happen to be on the wrong coast to source the game sound directly, but these are minor details.

Only if you re-write the laws of physics. We should be able to do that. Right?

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 22:58

I've got one from that list that isn't geoblocked but I don't know if it's actually carrying the game - do all of the stations on that list have the game guaranteed?

I'm not sure. The game doesn't officially start for another 30 mins, though.

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 22:58

    No probs.

I'm not sure. The game doesn't officially start for another 30 mins, though.

Eh. I'll see what I can do. Probably won't listen past the first quarter anyway, I'll be sleeping. Thanks for your help though!

I only know that it said to find the stations there.

I generally search TuneIn for *insert team name* radio network, then try each till I get a result - I'll check through them at gametime.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 23:02

    Done.

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 23:03

Good job, Peyton. After the neck surgery and everything...really good work.

  • ADMunro19/01/2014 at 23:03

Well that's it. Enjoyable game, well done Denver. Good chat all. See you for the Superbowl, hopefully!

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 23:03

Funny how Elway always gets on TV at the end of a victory. He does know he is not the QB any more

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 23:03

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 23:09

I still find it odd that every team in the league passed on Brady before the Pats drafted him.

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 23:09

and not just once or twice.

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 23:10

and not just once or twice.

    198 times

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 23:11

And Marino was worried because he was drafted almost last in the first round

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 23:13

Has anyone else been spotting the Kaep ads for Beats headphones? That seems to still be a niche advert, especially as there is no obvious NFL connection, just his face.

    Wilson spills it

    Turnover

  • Will^19/01/2014 at 23:42

  • Noelinho19/01/2014 at 23:51

So, defense and special teams making the big starts.

How do you get a false start when you are trying to get the defence to jump?

  • Steven Roy19/01/2014 at 23:59

Couldn't have placed the ball better

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 23:59

How do you get a false start when you are trying to get the defence to jump?

haha. oops. The place was too loud and no one could hear him.

  • Noelinho19/01/2014 at 23:59

Great start from San Francisco so far.

  • Kai19/01/2014 at 23:59

Great start from San Francisco so far.

    Yeah, man.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:04

The referee has refereed 3 basketball games this week. Different

It's cool to have an all star ref crew, too.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:07

    holy crap.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:07

The hit looked good to me on first view

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:07

    What a hit.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:07

    Defenceless receiver, I guess.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:07

    ooh, ouch in slo mo.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:08

    That's pretty harsh.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:08

    Defenceless receiver, I guess.

It was only a problem because the receiver had already been hit and was lower than he expected.

    Bogus call

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:08

    ooh, ouch in slo mo.

    Definitely ouch

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:08

It was only a problem because the receiver had already been hit and was lower than he expected.

Yep, agreed. There was little he could do. Duff call.

  • Will^20/01/2014 at 00:08

    Finally found a stream :)

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:08

    Definitely ouch

He was like a rag doll bouncing around.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:09

    Finally found a stream :)

    yay!

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:09

    Finally found a stream :)

    radio?

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:10

Oh look, the Pro Bowl. So excizzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:10

    Bad time to get sacked.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:11

Oh look, the Pro Bowl. So excizzzzzzzzzzzzz

    :)

  • Will^20/01/2014 at 00:11

    radio?

yup. So many are locked, but there's always one that's missed :)

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:11

That even took me by surprise.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:11

Grand total of 6 points in 2 first quarters tonight

  • Will^20/01/2014 at 00:12

Kgy 1420 the original - for anyone who might need it

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:14

    whooooa.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:14

Was hoping the Seahawks would come up with that.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:15

Was hoping the Seahawks would come up with that.

    me too.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:17

I swore on that replay. man oh man.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:18

Did one of the 49ers' sideline guys clothesline a Seahawk on that punt?

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:19

Did one of the 49ers' sideline guys clothesline a Seahawk on that punt?

Looked like something stopped his head going forward while the rest of him kept going

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:19

    Flag for holding

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:20

I don't like that holding call.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:21

    Great play by Kaep

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:22

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!??!?!

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:22

Looked like Kaep ran out of steam or realised he could get squished

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:22

Oh, wow. You're not meant to do that against Seattle.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:22

    This game is getting scrappy

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:23

Hey Seattle, you gotta know now that he's gonna bolt when he can. Please make suitable readjustments to your coverage. xx

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:24

    Definitely not a TD

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:25

Hey Seattle, you gotta know now that he's gonna bolt when he can. Please make suitable readjustments to your coverage. xx

Little changes like closing up all those huge holes

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:25

ENough visual evidence to reverse though?

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:25

Little changes like closing up all those huge holes

    Yeah, that.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:26

ENough visual evidence to reverse though?

Could easily be one of those where whatever the original call was stands

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:27

From the last angle it looks clearly short

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:27

    I'd reverse it.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:27

I keep thinking he's calling the ref Skeletor.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:28

I keep thinking he's calling the ref Skeletor.

    I like that.

    No TD

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:29

    Now that is a TD

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:31

Looks like we have our first injury of the game

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:33

    10-0 49ers. I didn't see this happening

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:34

    Poor guy.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:38

    That is utterly ridiculous

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:38

    yeah!

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:39

How can Wilson get so much time and then find an open receiver about 50 yards away

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 00:39

    Russell Wilson. Wow.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:39

Kaepernick is ridiculous, but he can't do that.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 00:39

What's amazing is how Wilson turns his back on his receivers, then turns back and immediately lets rip. Incredible. And right on the money.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 00:42

That was a bad snap. Ball almost drops at his feet

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:02

56 yard field goal or ount or go for it

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:03

FG try is the best bet.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:03

    Wilson is getting no protection

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:04

    Wilson is getting no protection

I thought he was going to get pureed on that play.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:04

Looks like the flag is against SF judging by the reaction of the players

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:05

    what?

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:05

    what?

    Yeah

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:05

Glad the refs implemented the penalty correctly. From the way the players were reacting, I thought they were giving the Seahawks a first down.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:05

    10-3 at half time

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:06

For all star refs....ummmm....not really showing it.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:06

Glad the refs implemented the penalty correctly. From the way the players were reacting, I thought they were giving the Seahawks a first down.

That is what it looked like.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:06

    what?

If the play is over, turnover of downs has already occured, therefore the penalty is applied on first down. Unless you're asking why the penalty was called - I didn't actually see that bit!

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:07

For all star refs....ummmm....not really showing it.

No consistency. Pats- Broncos game they let lots of stuff go but here every little thing is penalised

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:07

Unless you're asking why the penalty was called - I didn't actually see that bit!

    Tiny little shove

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:07

    Tiny little shove

Fair enough. I was too busy making ontes.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:07

    *notes

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:08

If the play is over, turnover of downs has already occured, therefore the penalty is applied on first down. Unless you're asking why the penalty was called - I didn't actually see that bit!

It was just a general kind of huh? at everything. :)

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:08

It was just a general kind of huh? at everything. :)

fair enough, I don't miss an opportunity of explain a penalty though :-)

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:08

    *to. I'm tired. Clearly.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:10

fair enough, I don't miss an opportunity of explain a penalty though :-)

    oh, I know! haha

I'm more of an appreciator of the game itself, the emotion, the athleticism. More of an impressionist. You seem to be more of a realist painter, which is great if something is not clear. The game needs us both. <3

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:20

My fantasy team has become a nightmare.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:20

My fantasy team has become a nightmare.

    why?

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:20

My fantasy team has become a nightmare.

This is what I get for my impressionism/non-attention-to-detail. :)

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:21

This is what I get for my impressionism/non-attention-to-detail. :)

Mine is doing great courtesy of my method of gueesing which teams will make the superbowl and getting lucky.

Need more Marshawn Lynch this half.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:21

    why?

only 94 points. Boldin and Davis have zippo so far.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:21

Seahawks say, "we've got to make a tackle". Even for sideline "news", that's a bad one.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:22

Need more Marshawn Lynch this half.

    yes!

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:22

only 94 points. Boldin and Davis have zippo so far.

    I had Blount. Double nothing.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:22

Seahawks say, "we've got to make a tackle". Even for sideline "news", that's a bad one.

We have to score more than the opposition

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:22

    I had Blount. Double nothing.

ugh. And I have Seattle for my defense.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:22

Pam Oliver rescuing the half time news gallantly there.

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:23

ugh. And I have Seattle for my defense.

    Me too

    Me too

and Moreno got hurt in the last game and didn't finish.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:23

It's hard to tell the difference between "and complete" and "incomplete" with this comms corps.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:24

and Moreno got hurt in the last game and didn't finish.

But quadruple points in two weeks time

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:24

and Moreno got hurt in the last game and didn't finish.

I just picked guys who didn't play that well or were shut down or hurt. That's just what happens.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:25

That's what happened to me last year. Everyone I picked seemed to lose and the next week I had to pick new players

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:25

    if he plays ;-)

    He will. I need him

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:26

    He will. I need him

yeah, but a chest injury? what the hell?

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:27

That's what happened to me last year. Everyone I picked seemed to lose and the next week I had to pick new players

I have 5 that are 2x points, but they're just not scoring like I want. C'mon, guys!

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:27

yeah, but a chest injury? what the hell?

It will take a couple of days before he knows how he feels. There is nothing like the adrenalin boost from a superbowl to kill pain for a few hours

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:28

I have 5 that are 2x points, but they're just not scoring like I want. C'mon, guys!

All of mine are on treble points this week and all bar two are already in the superbowl

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:39

Seattle lost out by forcing the fumble

    Very risky throw.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:40

Hmm. Sneaky kick from Kaepernick on the fumble.

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:42

Don't see how they can call it a penalty when the guy was airborne before the kick

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:57

Don't see how they can call it a penalty when the guy was airborne before the kick

It's by rule. It's your job to block or miss.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:57

Someone holding up a signal card saying TIG to the SF D

  • Kai20/01/2014 at 01:57

Don't see how they can call it a penalty when the guy was airborne before the kick

They would say it's the defender's job to make sure he doesn't hit the kicker, right?

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:58

They would say it's the defender's job to make sure he doesn't hit the kicker, right?

    Yes.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:58

It's by rule. It's your job to block or miss.

I get that but it is very harsh

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 01:58

I get that but it is very harsh

It is, but the defender is going for the limb rather than the body. Punters are more vulnerable than most.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:58

They would say it's the defender's job to make sure he doesn't hit the kicker, right?

That's correct but there is only so much a player can do

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 01:59

It is, but the defender is going for the limb rather than the body. Punters are more vulnerable than most.

The player had his hand out going for the ball. It was unfortunate that he landed on the ankle

  • Noelinho20/01/2014 at 02:00

That's correct but there is only so much a player can do

It's not much different to face mask penalties to be honest. Sometimes they are unavoidable too.

  • Steven Roy20/01/2014 at 02:06
