Well, we have now seen our first Formula 1 action, and it was as chaotic as was expected. Actually, it was good to see so many cars out on track because we were worried that there would be little running. Boy, how wrong we were. Anyway, here is what we're talking about:

  • BMW have suggested they want the weight limits in F1 to be raised, due to their inability to fit KERS to Kubica's car. Whilst Heidfeld is able to run the device, Kub can't because he's heavier and therefore it affects the weight of the car too much. I would certainly rather see the weight limit raised than drivers crash dieting so much.
  • The news has leaked out from many sources that Richard Branson is on his way to Melbourne to announce a sponsorship deal with Brawn GP. When the news broke that he could be on course to purchase them, even the most skeptical amongst us thought the Virgin Group would make a good sponsor for the team. The question is, how will the branding go, and does it match the yellow highlighting?
  • We were lucky enough to speak to Joe Saward again last night, which was early Friday morning, Melbourne time. He went through the diffuser row, plus gave us a quick insight into his plans for the weekend. You can catch the show here.

That's all for today. There are a lot of threads flying about today, and we're not sure entirely where the daily posts fits in to the action, but at least it's here if you need it. If you do, then I will see you in the comments.
