Hey, it’s Gavin from ‘Making Up The Numbers’ here, introducing you to a brand new Wednesday! It’s the Wednesday before the weekend of the Turkish Grand Prix, the Indy 500, Eurovision and my flatwarming too...

  • In F1 news, Joe Saward has been blogging about a new US F1 bid. Let’s hope that they actually get things right this time.
  • Apparently the lovely city of Austin, Texas will host the US Grand Prix from 2012 to 2021. It was announced on F1.com last night and Joe blogged his thoughts too. Dan has offered to host a Sidepodmeetup for the inaugural race :D
  • James Allen has been blogging about Luca Di Montezemolo’s interviews to coincide with Ferrari’s celebration of 800 Grand Prix starts. Apparently, he has forgiven Alonso’s mistakes, proposed the scrapping of Friday practice in favour of in-season testing and would not be drawn on Massa’s future…
  • The SidePodMeetup at PureTech Racing is gaining momentum, with PTR themselves joining twitter and asking for people to spread the word – which is cool, because they are retweeting the SPC Meetup too!
  • Here’s one for the IndyCar guys: a technical summary of the proposed 2012 Chassis designs. I like the Lola myself…
  • Yesterday was Argentina’s Bicentennial Day, so Feliz Cumpleaños Argentina!
  • Also, it was Geek Pride Day, Towel Day and 'Glorious 25th May' for fans of Terry Pratchett's Discworld yesterday too, so everybody should be celebrating
  • Mr. C. has linked to an awesome site called Ninite – which looks like an easy way to setup a new PC by allowing you to choose the essential programs you want and download them in one easy package...
  • Finally in a series of ‘Websites Gavin Likes’, I have a car culture site for you this week. It’s called SpeedHunters and it’s a blog created by the guys behind the Need For Speed series. I like it because it has a wide range of articles, from Drifting, to Custom Cars, Race Reports and everything in between. I personally like the site because it has a lot of great photos on it, and I must admit to downloading a few nice desktops from the site. Tasty!

That’s all from me, I hope you liked the links and that you have a great day. I’ll see you in the comments, eh?
