Monday morning swings around once more, but it is the last Monday before we have some racing to discuss. We're still recovering from last night's double podcast stint, and it's a busy week in Sidepodcast Towers as we prepare for the Australian GP. Meanwhile, here are some of the things we've been discussing:
- In the UK, the clocks go forward next weekend, just in time for the racing to begin. We're trying to figure out a way of reminding ourselves that it's going to happen, plus figure out whether Sidepodtime needs to go forward for the summer as well. Also, why must the clocks keep messing us around like this?
- Hamilton has declared his confidence in his team, suggesting that even if the car is off the pace now, they will recover as soon as is humanly possible. He also reckons it will be easier to lose a championship now he's won it, than it was to lose it having not won. That's not really fighting talk, is it?
- The FIA/FOTA thing is still rumbling on, with Briatore glad that their appeal to the governing body was heard. He said that FOTA did discuss medals with Bernie but nothing like the win system that the FIA tried to instate. He also said the reason they didn't want it is because they "don't feel it's interesting, that's all." Never one to mince his words, eh?
That'll do it for now. As ever, don't feel constrained by the topics I've listed above. There's plenty to talk about, with the racing just inches away, and there's bound to be more coming out during the day. I'll see you in the comments.
