We have reached that dreaded day of Thursday, but it turns out that some people have been experience Thursday symptoms on a Wednesday and sometimes, more annoyingly, on a Friday. We are going to have to do more to contain it, I think. Anyway, here are some F1 related things to discuss:

  • Mr Paddy Lowe seems to think that it would only a take a tweak here or there to create more overtaking in Formula 1. That is true, to a point, I suppose, but it does seem to be missing the bigger picture (not to be confused with the Big Picture). He also said that their changes to the cars for '09 haven't been a huge failure as well, though, so perhaps his word shouldn't be taken too seriously.
  • Fisichella may not be doing much celebrating on track, but he has plenty to celebrate now he has finally wed his girlfriend of 15 years. Alianora found some pictures that show the blushing bride, and a waiting bridegroom with a phone stuck to his ear. I wonder who he's calling?
  • Following the potential extension that's not really a deadline extension but more of a concrete dispute between Bernie and Donington Park, it has been revealed that Simon Gillett is hoping to raise £120 million in a ridiculously short space of time to prove to Bernie that it's going to happen. At what point will he give up?

That'll do it for now. There should be an F1 Digest preview out later today, as detailed by the weekend schedule published yesterday. I'll see you in the comments.
