Friday at last, and I now have another joinee to my 'Thursdays are bad' club. Thankfully, we are heading straight towards the weekend now, and not before time. Here are some of the things being talked about at the moment:

  • Having finally realised that joining Sidepodcast is not as easy as you might think, I've written a Quick Start Guide to answer some of the immediate questions. Have a read, whether you are new or not, and let me know what you think, and if there is anything I have missed.
  • Simon Gillett has confirmed that Donington Park has been handed a 17 year deal to host the British Grand Prix, and we are trying to figure this out. Whilst it makes sense that he needs it to make the debenture scheme work, surely signing up to something for 17 years is never a good idea even in a normal financial/political climate?
  • In the 'dragging old names from the past' saga, it looks as though Team Lotus aren't to be bothered with legal action, whilst Brabham are going ahead with proceedings against Formtech who are trying to enter 2010 with the good family name. Because what Formula 1 needs now is more lawsuits.

That'll do it for now. Let us know what you're doing over the weekend, although if it isn't live commenting Le Mans with us, then you'll be missing out. I'll see you in the comments.
